Questioning DOJ Presidential Protection Protocol vs Breaking the Law
All the current publicity over Trumps classified document and January 6th raise a number of unspoken questions as to what Law Enforcement Officers, namely the Presidential Details of Secret Service allow to “slip” past them should the actions of the protectee become unlawful. Let us take a brief look back at former presidents who even by today’s “standards” did things that make Trump look like a choirboy.
Need I say more than JFK and Marilyn Monroe and the office of the Attorney General under Robert Kennedy – was the protective detail so incompetent or did they stand by outside the makeshift bedroom door insuring nobody entered or left until the deed was done? JFKs assassination raises questions even today, how was it even allowed to happen?
Next was LBJ who had “sexual encounters” IN THE OVAL OFFICE. LBJ had a bell or buzzer installed so he could be warned when Lady Bird ventured to interrupt his conquests.
When the Watergate scandal occurred, where was the protective detail and why did they not intervene? It led to Nixon’s downfall and resignation.
There were Reagan’s arms to the Sandinista rebels involving Oliver North that took his administration by surprise, no protective detail involvement in a law enforcement capacity?
Then there was WJC who routinely snuck away and flew off to Epstein Island without his detail? How in the world did that occur with the protective HRC hovering nearby?
Then where was BHO, HRC and other government leaders during the Benghazi incident? What about those secretly given missiles to Syria that was the premise of the debacle? Or the secret server in HRCs residence used for official State Department communications with the President, and nobody knew about it? Yet Michelle could as First Lady go into Walmart undercover and nobody recognized her (or the detail that protected her)?
Another telltale sign of obvious suspicion was when a female secret service on the presidential detail refused to protect newly elected President Trump and she was simply reassigned to other duties. But when all the accusations of wrongdoings is brought up against Trump were there no secret service agents to stand up and say what really happened or didn’t happen?
I leave you with this question – is the Secret Service not part of the DOJ’s law enforcement agency? Do they not have an obligation to speak up and say “No Mr. President that is against the law?”
What about after leaving office, does the detail of any protectee simply act as chauffeurs, doormen or women, personal butlers or are they not agents of law enforcement? – RTM
