Lawful Legal or Constitutional
This morning a headline appeared to confirm that the CEO of a certain corporation was quoted as saying they would exert their legal right to fight being banned by congress. That brought up some very valid points that words framed for a specific purpose or end result have very different meanings dependent on ones point of view.
Take for example people are not illegal, it is what they do that is against the law is considered illegal.
In fact we are born with certain inalienable rights – life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and those rights are enshrined in the Constitution of the United States of America.
When people are categorized, marginalized or separated and set aside for political purposes different rules apply. Take for example the words Patriotic, America First, GOP, NRA, Trump and you may think these kinds of people are purely un-American because of the political spin making these words political triggers. The fact that people who identify with these “labels” are normal, everyday people, working hard to build a better life for themselves, their families and working to make America better than ever before. Politicians tend to associate with these labels believe that the Constitution is the rule of law and there are rights guaranteed to American citizens that are non-negotiable. The right to speak freely; worship God; own and bear arms; confront their accusers in a court of their peers; and bring their grievances against a government gone amuck before said government. There are more rights guaranteed in the Constitution, but unless one knows what those rights are and is willing to fight to keep those rights they can easily be taken away.
Look at the right to life – Abortion and murder takes that right away.
The biggest threat to our Republic’s way of life is allowing one political party to dictate morality, patriotism or what rights citizens are allowed to have. And no, non-citizens are not under the same rights and privileges as citizens under the Constitution. In order to earn the rights of citizenship, one must become a citizen of the United States. Until then each person remains a citizen of their country of origin.
Banning unacceptable or undesirable behavior or actions takes away the right liberty. Taking property from one person and giving that property to another who did not purchase or earn it is irresponsible. Using a firearm in the commission of a crime is unlawful and when it results in the loss of life the user must be held accountable.
Banning free speech – takes away or impedes the right to speak freely. Reporting on unverifiable or without sufficient evidence is simply irresponsible and unprofessional gossiping. Banning or removing God from daily life or government is man’s futile attempt to remove any form of conscience or holding oneself accountable for ones actions. One political party actively working to silence any other political party or opponent leads to a singular one-party government where the head of that party is the defacto dictator of that country.
Not everything that is deemed “legal” or “lawful” is such when they are contrary to the Ten Commandments (Love God; Love your neighbor as you love yourself; Have No Other god’s before God; Honor your mother and your father; Do not steal; Do not covet; Do not spread false rumors (gossip); Do not kill; Do not commit adultery (sex outside of marriage) (You can look them up).
If God says do not, no matter if man or government says it is okay, it is still wrong because God has said so in His Word. Life is not about who’s the biggest, strongest, richest or most powerful, it is about submitting to God’s will for your life. It’s all about Jesus. – RTM
