Who do I think will win the 2024 Presidential Election?

Who do I think will win the 2024 Presidential Election?

A friend recently asked who do I think will win the election and my answer boiled down to something my dad had said over the years, “Whoever holds the pencil wins”. It was a saying that held true to playing rummy, canasta, dominoes or checkers and chess. Every time we sat down to play a board game dad always got out his pencil and paper to keep score. I didn’t mind because quite often I’d transpose numbers and the score would be confused from the start.

I began teaching my kids and grandkids the same thing. To many people winning is all about numbers and unless you’re playing golf big numbers, high scores are what it’s about, in fact the measure of a man or woman is often seen as how high can you score against your opponent?

Following presidential election politics I’ve seen that “keeping score” thing with an entirely new perspective. When the establishment goes after someone they deem a threat to their political power base they use all tools at their disposal, even if they are unethical, unbecoming or unconstitutional.

It is my contention that the JFK assassination may have come about because President John Kennedy wasn’t “democratic” enough or didn’t go along with the party line (Kennedy wanted the US to stay out of Vietnam) and President Lyndon Johnson put us in high gear to increase boots on the ground to stop the takeover of South Vietnam (Kennedy didn’t want us to go there). President Richard Nixon who continued US escalation until legislative blackmail caused President Richard Nixon to resign after Water Gate. We had also seen a foreign entity (Iran) cease to negotiate over US hostages until President Jimmy Carter was out of office and newly sworn in President Gerald Ford in office.

It was because of President Gerald Ford’s decision to pardon all draft dodgers that set the stage for President William Clinton to later take office. That same mindset began the divisiveness of having served or not served in the military as being criteria for the highest public office.

Fast forward to this 2024 election and you can see how democrats holding the pencil have applied pressure on social media to silence conservative free speech and are now reapplying pressure to label conservative expression as misinformation/disinformation and are attempting to silence them.

In my opinion the author of disinformation is the Democratic Party. They have used Gaslighting techniques to the point that their disinformation has replaced common sense and allegations have become their truth, while actual facts are of no consequence.

How conveniently have so-called “former WH staffer leaks” become gospel? Or how does a special investigator’s allegation get released without the “alleged” part all together?

Or how does Vice Presidential non-action of her official duties qualify her to run for the office of President anyway? Does not her record speak for itself? How is the ignorance of fact a good thing?

The primary constant of these two democratic seeking election votes are the facts that instead of lying they have often simply “misspoke”. Might I remind everyone that “putting lipstick on a pig” doesn’t change the fact that a pig is a pig is a pig.

Next month is the election (31 days away) and America has to choose whether to have adult supervision or continued wallowing around in the mud hoping the mud hole doesn’t dry up. – RTM
