Either Peace or War
Not that long ago my brother informed me that our family tree stemmed from some dirt farmers (potatoes really) from Scotland, who migrated from England to Scotland at the bequest of the king.
When 3 Wilson brothers arrived on the shores of the new world they brought their written heritage showing they were in fact of the “Gunn Clan”. One brother turned south towards North Carolina, while the other two brothers came west with one settling in Southwestern Idaho. That is the part of the clan that my lineage is traced to. The motto of the Gunn Clan is “Either Peace or War”.
It’s gratifying to know that when a man, a family, a tribe or a nation is properly prepared, it matters little whether to plow or dig trenches. When our nation was divided during the Civil War years it was not fashionable to take sides against slavery and when taking an active part in the Underground Railroad, Quakers quite often excommunicated those violators. Undeterred our family simply moved further west and started over taking what they had and built upon it. In our case we were pig farmers. Well it was more than that we were prize winning Hog Farmers who took great pride in raising the best award winning Hogs in the area or state. You can tell a lot about a man by the pride he takes in the animals he raises.
During WWII 3 Wilson brothers in Southwestern Idaho all joined the US Navy and proudly served before settling down to raise their families in peace all the while knowing that the possibility of war was just around the corner.
When dad died in 2019 he was the last of the Wilson’s Navy brothers and as the world was at war on terrorism and he was living peacefully at the state Veteran’s Home in Boise, Idaho. Yet up until the end he was aware that peace not easily won must be defended. He left behind patriotic sons and grandchildren several of whom had served during the Cold War and the War on Terrorism, each capable of stepping up should the time arise for “Either Peace or War”.
The greatest threat to America’s Constitutional Republic and Democracy is not the prominent super-powers we are told, but from within, citizens and residents alike who feel that life isn’t fair and they have the answer.
They do not!
Our greatest threat is uninformed or misguided American’s who have been conditioned (brain washed) into believing that the only way to make things fair is to take our nation to its proverbial knees, collapse our economy and then when there are no rich versus poor, everyone will be equal and life will be fair.
It will not!
We have seen third world nations collapse under the same political ideology and tactics that have been used here in America. These are prolonged often long term tactics designed to destabilize and destroy and the funny part (not funny) is that our own government agencies have been engineering and facilitating it.
Gaslighting is a tactic of conditioning someone until the truth becomes false and reality is no more. Political Gaslighting is a long term prolonging of truth bending (lying) until everyone simply submits.
Man was born with a brain, but each one must exercise that brain not only with knowledge, but with common sense knowing the difference between and the consequences of right and wrong actions.
I urge you to do just that, know the difference, do and be the difference.
