Good Shall Be Called Evil

It is evident by what we see on television, social media, and the internet and hear on radio broadcasts that biblical verses written thousands of years ago are relevant and true today in 2025.

Isaiah 5:20 ESV, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”

2 Timothy 3:1-4 ESV, “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.”

Proverbs 16:25 ESV, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.”

These are but a few of the verses in the bible that are being written for today’s news and for those unfamiliar with the Word of God it will spark unbelief and denial.

John 3:19 ESV, “And this is the judgment: the light as come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.”

Listening to the world one is to believe that the nucleus of the family unit was not established by God, but is totally relational to individual choice. People are “marrying” same sex, animals, trees, the earth and whatever has entered their minds. They are willingly and wholeheartedly aligning themselves with satanic spirits and forces of evil.

John 8:44 ESV, “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies”

1 Timothy 4:1-2 ESV, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared,”

Romans 12:9 ESV, “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.”

Romans 12:21 ESV, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

When elected officials actively call for military personnel to refuse to obey or question orders and for law enforcement officers to refuse to enforce or prevent from assisting other officers it is time to hold those officials accountable by the voters who elected them.

Romans 13:1-7 ESV, “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. …”

Resistance is to God’s authority.

Proverbs 3:7 ESV, “Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.”

Proverbs 17:13 ESV, “If anyone returns evil for good, evil will not depart from his house.”

John 3:16 ESV, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
