Let Us Talk About January 6th
If you follow my blogs you know that I am a Christian and consider myself a hardcore supporter of President Trump from the getgo. I don’t sport MAGA gear. I have no flag or banners in my yard. The purpose of my blog posts are to educate, and in some cases ridicule or point out the obvious for those who are politically blind to what is happening right in front of their face. I have little to no patience with stupid people doing or saying stupid stuff.
Today is the five year anniversary of J6, 2021 and the aftermath of the 2020 election that changed the political landscape of America. We’ve been told and led to believe is vastly different than what actually took place. J6 was not a Republican truth or a Democratic truth.
The events of J6 are either true or they are not.
Leading Up To J6
Like many Americans I watched television broadcasts as election results began pouring in from across the nation. Some precincts came in as expected and rather quickly at that. Other precincts dragged on for hours and days if not weeks. Something was broken. When I went to bed I was smiling because it was obvious that Donald Trump was seriously ahead of Joe Biden. When I got up the next morning the election world had been flipped upsidedown and the numbers showed Joe Biden seriously ahead of Donald Trump. It appeared the numbers had been switched.
Joe Biden falsely and from his basement in Delaware claimed the title of “President-Elect” and demanded President Trump to concede. Trump did not.
As per election protocol the presidential candidates could challenge the results they thought were off or considered shady and President Donald Trump and his campaign team did that in a number of states.
The election process required states to follow certain protocols with their Electoral College delegates to cast their ballots on a certain date, followed up by the in-person certification process conducted by VP Mike Pence before a joint session of congress in the Capital Building on J6.
President Trump announced well in advance a MAGA rally to be held in D.C. on The Mall on J6. At the appointed time Trump spoke to the crowd about the certification process and instructed the crowd to move in an orderly manner to the Capital Building, where they could watch the certification process for themselves thereby making their voices heard.
I watched on cable television as the One American News Network (OANN) official White House reporter began talking to the MAGA crowd as they arrived. They were a mixture of families, couples and individual supporters of President Trump. Someone in the crowd pointed to where Capitol Police were allowing a number of people through the upper chamber doors even before Trump had finished speaking. A bit later Capitol Police opened doors and invited MAGA into the lower level of the Capital Building. Upon entering it was obvious someone had trashed the area by overturning trash cans and spewing garbage around. MAGA individuals began doing the obvious, uprighting the trash cans and placing garbage where it belonged, all the time as they continued inside the roped off areas.
What we later saw outside and inside the Capital Building were people wearing MAGA gear climbing on balconies and railings and acting like fools and worse. Cameras inside showed electronics and computers in the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other offices, which we assumed were left unsecure by office workers who left in a hurry. As Chaos ensued all members of congress were evacuated to safe places by Capitol Police as it became obvious that windows were being broken, people were being herded into areas where they ought not to be. Video and personal accounts later showed that some of the MAGA crowd questioning Capitol Police as to why no backup officers were present? Then there was the discharge of a firearm from inside a locked room by Capitol Police Lieutenant Michael Byrd who shot and killed MAGA supporter Ashli Babbitt (a retired USAF police officer) he said as he feared for his life. As the crowd stampeded trying to get out of the building MAGA supporter Rosanne Boyland was knocked down and trampled (she later died on scene). There were others hurt (including Capitol Police officers) when fighting broke out.
President Trump had told Speaker Pelosi that if needed he would authorize sending in the National Guard. She said something to the effect “No, it would be bad optics”. She even ordered Gen Miley (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) to follow her orders, but not those from President Trump.
Then Speaker Pelosi ordered in the National Guard (while screening out conservative guard members she considered loyal to Trump), and ordered the erection of a portable fence around what she called her “Temple of Democracy”.
The certification of the Electoral College ballots continued and VP Joe Biden became the President-Elect.
What we have learned since
After the J20 inauguration of President Joe Biden the House convened the bipartisan J6 Committee chaired by Rep Liz Chaney (R) Wyoming and began hunting down every MAGA Trump supporter identified as having been in DC on J6.
Over a 2+ year period hundreds were apprehended, imprisoned in DC many without adequate detainment facilities, medical, clergy, family or even congressional visitors allowed.
(There was no marching in the streets or demonstrations in support of MAGA.)
New FBI investigation reveals
The FBI kept from public knowledge the fact they had more than 275 undercover agents/operatives embedded in the MAGA crowd on J6, with instructions to stir up the crowd and to incite violence.
(The same tactics used in Minneapolis during the George Floyd riots of 2020.)
Trump 2.0
We may never truly know what happened on J6 because the official narrative changes depending upon which official one is talking to. President Trump began reviewing the files of those J6ers (as they are called) and began a mass pardon of the non-violent MAGA participants of J6.What is crystal clear is that freedom of speech and freedom to peacefully assemble are guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Not protected are mobs, rioting, looting and killing while expressing free speech. – RTM
