According to the headlines this morning the VP debates gave America two very different scenarios based on the outcome of the 2024 Presidential Election coming up on November 5th. It’s a choice of Harrisonomics (possible Bidenonomics on steroids) or MAGAnomics (reverting back to Trump’s vision for America). The optics of the campaign is to instill either fear or confidence of the future of the United States and the world at large.
I purposefully did not watch any of the debates. Promises are nothing more than promises without action to fulfill them. I do know that we are at a defining point in the history of our nation and the future of the world may very well depend upon it as well.
Jesus predicted what lay ahead in Matthew.
Matthew 24:6-8 KJV
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Jesus also said in Deuteronomy
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
As a bible believing, born-again follower of Jesus Christ I will cling to the bible for guidance and assurance for I know that HE has everything under control or in the words of this traditional Negro spiritual “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands”, first published in 1927.
So as you prepare to cast your ballot for President of the United States do not look for a pretty face, a face of aging wisdom or listen to their many promises cast your vote for the candidate who aligns closely with the what the bible tells us is right and true.
Vote as if the future of YOUR descendants depends upon it – because it does! – RTM
In these last days and times between Jesus’s first coming as a baby born in Bethlehem to be the sacrificial Lamb of God sent by God to atone for OUR SINS (the sins of the world) and Jesus’ second coming where he will rule over all the earth we will see evil spiral out of control affecting every single person.
This message from Jesus should sound an alarm bell in the hearts and minds of everyone
2 Timothy 3 NIV
3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires,7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
10 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,11 persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. 12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
This message from Jesus we see coming to pass every day in real time.
Matthew 24: 6 – 13 NIV
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Sunday is a day of reflection, re-connecting, recharging our proverbial batteries and yes a day to draw closer to the God who created us. However Sunday is but one of the days we can draw close to God and seek his for in our lives. God wants to be our battle buddy he knows what’s ahead and wants to be our strength, our fortress so that HE gets the glory and honor that he alone deserves.
You can see the world going to “hell in a handbasket”; don’t you think it’s time to get OUT of the basket and into the arms of Almighty God?
It’s not too late, Jesus said in John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life and nobody comes to the Father except through me.”
There is coming a day when there will be no more evil in the world and we will live the life of peace that God wanted us to live before sin entered into the world.
Are you longing for that day? Are you ready?
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

What you didn’t know he was lost? In fact it is you who was lost, who was blind and could not see.
The mystery of the ages is not discovering the wonders of the world but discovering who God is and what he has created. It’s all around us, it air we breathe, all that we know and see, even the blood that flows throughout our body and the cells that make us who we are individually and collectively.
Yet the mystery hidden plain sight is the love of God and salvation that comes only from finding and knowing Jesus who is the Christ.
So I ask do you know him? Have you found salvation that comes through his name?
You can know him by simply asking for his forgiveness of your sins, believing that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross at Calvary for you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but through him. To know Jesus is to know the Father who sent him.
Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Why is it that anybody thinks that the world is their oyster and everything revolves around them?
God knew the end from before the beginning and laid out a timeline for everything so that we could willingly serve him.
We think we are the masters of our own universe when in fact we are simply misters in the universe.
We pride ourselves on saving this planet called earth, controlling the constantly changing climate and searching for life on other planets when we should be loving God with our whole hearts, minds, soul and strength (every fiber of our being), loving our neighbor as we love ourselves and living at peace with each other.
Humanity finds it offensive to worship the invisible God who created us.
We take life for granted and think nothing about snuffing out life when it is not our own. It must hurt the heart of God to see his creation act this way.
Yet only a loving God could send his son Jesus to save the world from total and ultimate destruction knowing they would not receive him
We chase after dreams & fantasies when we could be living like children of the King of Kings.
Neither this world we live in or the bodies we have are designed to go on forever. It is appointed for us to be born and to die, but only those who choose to serve the risen savior will receive a glorified body for eternity.
John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son Jesus that whosoever believes in him could be saved.”

After reading Mario Murillo’s inspired prophesy of the upcoming presidential election I’m reminded of kids telling Santa what they want for Christmas.
We’ve been spoon fed this idea by the progressive Democratic Party (party of lies) that it’s time America had a woman president.
Elizabeth Warren wanted to be the first American Indian woman but she was just a politician and a grown woman telling “Santa” what she wanted and she wasn’t even Indian.
Hillary Clinton wanted so badly to be the first democrat woman president, but she too was just a New York woman politician who had been in the White House but as the First Lady.
Now “Santa” is being told it should be a women of color (any flavor will do) so long as it’s a democrat and Kamala Harris fits the bill of many flavors – East Asian Indian-Jamaican-African-American AND a special kind of California democrat. Talk about checking all the boxes – WOW.
Americans should be alarmed by what she has done and said as a politician, as Vice President and by what she is not doing on the campaign trail taking action and/or TALKING about making life better for American citizens.
American Christians have sought the will of God to save us from the evil one and when God responded by bringing forth Donald Trump they resolutely joined the enemy’s camp of denial.
As the pressures have increased on Trump so has the resistance to what God wants to do for his people. The inflamed attacks have moved to multiple active assassination attempts and yet Christians stand in the shadows waiting and watching instead of going to their knees in prayer for God’s will to be done “On Earth as it is in Heaven”.
I tell you now that America will reap what we sow – the good, the bad and the ugly.
If you don’t like the way things are going do something about it – pray “not my will but thy will oh Lord”.

If you’ve been following my RTM blog posts you know that I’ve been an avid supporter of #45 from day one.
Like many who witnessed Donald & Melania descent on the golden escalator in Trump Tower in 2015 initially I thought it a stunt plugging The Apprentice.
Right away I asked myself if DJT had any religious values to speak of as I knew virtually nothing about this New York billionaire.
A google search turned up “The Faith of Donald J. Trump” on Amazon and after reading it I knew that God was behind this quest for the presidency but not for the reasons you suspect.
When I read the prophesies of Trump and how they were said over him prior to the 2016 election I was on board 100%.
And then it was like a light switch had been turned on as the attacks on Trump began in earnest. Those who craved his campaign contribution money and photo ops suddenly wanted nothing to do with him.
In fact it was as if the entire world had turned upside down against him. You’ve seen it on television news programs, social media and from sitting members of congress “Trump is a threat to Democracy”.
You may have even bought into it without stopping to think about that this has been going on for 9 hard years already and past the point of reason or common sense. Just look back over the past two months as pure hatred have caused deranged men to attempt decisive action.
I can tell you this, if God is in this nothing can stop God’s plan or his anointed one until that plan has been completed.
No gossiping, slandering, personal, professional or political attacks no matter how egregious or damaging will deter this man on a mission to save America from self destruction.
DJT is a man who had everything the world calls success and chose to set it all aside so America could be made great once again.
You don’t have to like him personally but remember that to come against DJT is to put yourself on the wrong side of right.
Jesus said “a house divided cannot stand” and sinful man is like the livestock kicking against the goads which God himself has put in place (killing, lust, murder, other gods, disrespect of parents and disobedience to the God who created all) and the list goes on.
Climate change is not man’s greatest problem, it is the love of money which fuels man’s greatest threat – man.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and humble yourselves before God asking forgiveness for OUR personal and the nations collective sins. – RTM
According to an online search of land measurements one hit surfaced that the small Southeastern Asian Kingdom of Thailand, smaller than the state of Texas has a rice harvest that accounts for 10% of the carbon emissions worldwide and they are searching for different ways of growing and harvesting rice – unbelievable. What about pollution from China? What is China’s percentage?
In the US we’re told that climate change is what is causing many of the problems we have nationwide. Before that it was greenhouse gases causing polar ice shrinkage and the seas to become smaller. What is next? The man in the moon causes cheese to turn green?
What we have are a few “know it alls” self-made men and women who keep us divided by fear of the unknown and looking at their sure fire ways to remedy the maladies of life.
Why don’t we just go by what the Bible says – to love God, love our neighbors as we love ourselves and when it is within our power to do so – live peacefully with all men?
The only constant in life is change and climate change is the normal part of life and most importantly God is on HIS throne and he alone is in control!
Worry does nothing to add one second to our lives but can cause the hairs on our heads to fall out.
In my younger days there was a saying – stupid is as stupid does. I guess that saying still rings true especially when it comes to politics.
Do you remember when TDS was the congressional rage? I mean public displays of stupidity were the norm.
When public figures died, congressional Democrats banned President Trump from attending their funerals, even when the dead were Reputations. What I didn’t see was any resistance by their family members, even when it was a Republican former president or former governor.
When the deceased had been an outspoken MAGA supporter they were simply ignored, or at best demonized by hateful Democrats.
But when it was one of their own they heaped praise upon praise as if the deceased was a “mother Teresa” figure.
The real tragedy was that the public bought into it all 100% and a great many congressional Republicans were complicit or remained silent. – RTM
When President Trump fired the FBI director and replaced him with Director Wray from within the FBI I predicted that how he performed would tell whether Trump had made the right choice or not.
Take the collective actions of the FBI over the course of the past 5 years and the “ah ha” moment came when Director Wray went before a congressional investigative committee and stated under oath that on July 13th, 2024 President Trump had not been really shot, but cut from a glass fragment.
Why has it taken so long to expose the obvious corruption of key law enforcement agencies that have congressional responsibility to protect select public figures? And why have no significant “heads” rolled in the aftermath by President Biden?
There is an obvious coverup that must be explored further and congress should dig much deeper to find answers.
We’ve heard promises of full transparency but actions speak louder than words. The iron hand of Justice must prevail before the “HLS Titanic” settles into the deep sea of regret.
When has common sense been discarded for meaningless conjecture? – RTM
There are times when things just don’t go the way you planned. It’s natural to figure out another way. Quite often that way may not work out either. So what are you supposed to do?
A persistent man will find another way while a defeated man will simply give up. When lives are at stake there is no giving up.
It’s been said that necessity is the mother of invention.
The recent events with American astronauts is a perfect example of a major glitch that necessitates alternative measures to ensure the safety of those astronauts while determining the best way forward that will bring them back safely.
It was reported that NASA employees felt humiliated because another spacecraft was chosen to rescue the astronauts.
I say what happened to brainstorming for other viable options? There should be no petty bickering. Have we not learned from past mistakes that resulted in tragedy?
