There are many stories written about President Donald J. Trump that are conjecture, speculation and outright lies. That Donald Trump was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and only cares for the superrich; that he is a racist; a war monger, a womanizer, a sexual deviant and an all-around bad guy who is not right for America. The latest hype from the far left is Trump wants to be a king and goes after anyone who doesn’t agree with him.
I’m sure those who work/worked for Trump know him as a hard but fair taskmaster who settles for nothing less than their very best. One of his tenets that was drilled into him at military school was “winning is the only thing”.
Whether it’s building a commercial enterprise, a world class golf course, assembling a top-notch presidential cabinet or brokering peace with warring nations across the globe, nothing gets in his way or detracts him from his intended goal(s).
What is hard to fathom is how world leaders both fear and admire him, trust his leadership and follow his advice while the far left is stuck in a permanent mental gridlock referred to as Trump Derangement Syndrome and spend every waking moment trying to derail him.
The left was applauding the fact that Trump wasn’t chosen as the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner. They mistakenly think that medal is the prize, when in fact for Trump winning isn’t about the prize at all. What captures Donald Trump’s attention is stopping wars and preventing the senseless killing of combatants on both sides of every conflict (8 wars in 8 months is quite impressive). Anyone can “earn” the Nobel Peace Prize, like Barack Obama not for doing anything except for getting elected president. How many wars did Obama stop during his 8 years in office? ZERO, ZILCH, NADA!
I listened as commentators said only President Trump has what it takes to bring peace, by the sheer magnitude of his persona. Trump commands the room in foreign countries where kings and presidents thank him for allowing them to introduce him. One commentator implied that the Nobel Prize isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact it is beneath Trump’s character (my words).
What is really needed is a fresh approach to a real peace prize making it something to be sought. There needs to be a Trump Peace prize given out BY PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP for outstanding merit of bringing peace to a region. Now wouldn’t that be a legacy to leave behind and a prize to aim for?
In this entire misguided discussion the actual reason Trump is so successful abroad and hated by left wing democrats at home is the fact that Trump has only to please the one who sent him on this quest for peace – Almighty God! And that is the real prize!

Much has been written about President Trump (45 & 47). We may never know how much is based on accusations, slander, outright lies or truth? I’m pretty sure that what you think you know isn’t close to what or who he is in real life.
Most people assume (bad word to base your feelings on) that Donald Trump was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, given lots of money by his dad so he could go around pasting his name all over the place. People assume by his demeanor or his braggadocios style that he considers himself better than everyone else and as president his aim is to become the king of America.
I’ve never met Trump, nor even come close to being at one of his rallies. What I’ve read about his early life as a kid growing up in New York City in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s leads me to believe that he was no different than many of us.
Trump’s father Fred was a real estate developer in post-WWII era, building quality homes for veterans returning from the war. He wasn’t flashy or trying to impress anyone. He built houses.
As a kid, young Donald got in trouble skipping school, going into downtown New York City and caused his father a bit of grief, especially after catching Donald with a switchblade knife, leading to Fred enrolling Donald into military school for 5 years in an effort to settle him down.
According to his instructor, a WWII combat veteran young Donald was a gangling kid like the rest, nothing to hang your hat on. One thing he stressed was that winning wasn’t everything in life, winning was the only thing. Young Donald picked up on that and carried it throughout the rest of his life.
After military school Donald Trump went on to college, getting his degree in accounting. Donald wasn’t Fred’s first choice to turn over the company business. In fact his older brother would have been the logical choice but he had a serious alcohol addiction. So when the time was right Fred turned over the business to Donald.
One thing that Donald learned while working for his father was to do quality work and attach your name to it as a means of pride over workmanship. Donald took it one step further by branding the name TRUMP and making it a visual part of each real estate project in New York and around the world. Being a smooth talker and a real ladies man Donald Trump rubbed elbows with the rich and famous, so much so that they lined up to have their pictures taken with him.
Donald Trump seemed to be smitten with beautiful women and ended up marrying three times. As a father when he felt the time was right would take his children (Don Jr, Eric and Ivanka) down to the jobsite, entrust them to the foreman so that they learned construction literally from the ground up.
No silver spoon for them either.
Donald featured himself as the “deal maker” as attested to his book “The Art of the Deal”. He never passed up an opportunity to broker a deal where others had failed. One of his projects was fixing the old skating rink that had been under remodel and over budget for years. He had it completed in a few short weeks or months and spared no expense, yet keeping it under his winning bidding.
I remember seeing the Barbara Walters special on Donald Trump and he was unapologetic in touting his successes and his failures. Sometimes one must fail in order to learn.
Oprah once asked if Donald wanted to be president. He said no, because the one in office at the time was doing a terrible job, but if the country needed him we would run.
Donald Trump felt a call to run for president, but didn’t until his calling was independently verified by others. Once his calling was made known to him he could have refused or turned it down, but he must have felt it was the right time when he came down the escalator in 2015. Little did he know that the forces of evil would rise up to oppose him?
The 2016 election was a non-political long shot against the favored Hillary Clinton. The odds of winning were phenomenally low. It was a shock to the nation when Trump won the nomination and became POTUS #45.
Almost immediately resistance seemed to appear from every corner of the nation. Accusations of sexual misconduct were unsubstantiated and ultimate failed to derail his presidency. Political hijinks began popping up over the 4 years of his presidency, leading to 2 impeachments, an insurrection and judicial lawfare meant to end his political career while he was still in office and to prevent him from ever serving the high office a second term.
The 2020 election had a totally different outcome. It gave Donald Trump 4 years to contemplate how to make a second term more effective and time to gather his handpicked team, while still fighting the political lawfare of his detractors.
The 2024 election was in the bag for Donald Trump. The incompetence and ineffective campaigns of Biden/Harris did nothing to slow the Trump Train and on January 20th the inauguration of President Trump #47 started off with a bang, right out the gate as he torched Biden/Harris’s failures and said exactly what he was going to do starting that very day. Everything since then has been promises made, promises kept, from the border, immigration, national security, the economy and international relations.
What many people didn’t know is that Donald Trump is a dad and a grandfather who loves his family and his country very much and will do whatever he can for them to succeed. Trump’s commitment to God is very important to him.
One of Trump’s main missions is to drain the D.C. swamp, root out corruption, fraud, waste and abuse in government and to remove the migrants who came here unlawfully, beginning with the most dangerous criminal aliens and to balance international trade. Very important to him is to stop the killing of innocent civilians and military around the world.
What’s not true is what is being pushed by the radical left that Trump wants to be king or dictator.
What is true is his desire to Make America Great Again. – RTM
During a recent Christian men’s fellowship breakfast the speaker asked, “If this church closed the doors permanently would the community around us notice?” What he was saying was, are we making a difference in our community by what we are doing for God (would our absence create a vacuum)?
Later that same day I went to a celebration of her life funeral for a young mother, the victim of domestic violence. I didn’t really know her personally but have known her parents for more than 30 years. The last time I remember seeing this 33 year old young lady was as a baby. The mother lamented over the loss of her daughter while the father said God loved her way more than he ever could. Their pain was great.
As I sat at the funeral home looking around I could see those impacted by her. To me there were many strangers, then I began seeing church and former church members whom I recognized, a familiar face here, and another one or two there. Not all the names came to me at the time, some after I had returned home. As I contemplated over the events of the day I wondered what kind of an impact I had left on them. Did they see Jesus or did they just see me?
A lot has changed over the years and the old church has gone, its members scattered among churches in our community or elsewhere. I remember the good times the weddings, new baby dedications, baptisms and of course the funerals. It was a different world before 9/11/2021 and today the world is still changing, as are the people living in it. It’s been said “The only constant in life is change”.
Back to the men’s fellowship where we talked about telegraphing to the world around us what we are against – sin in its many forms, when we should be showing the love of Jesus through the life we live for HIM to everyone we see or who see us. We proudly have our Christian bumper stickers, our necklace with a cross and our temper that let everyone know, but do our actions and our life tell the real story?

There’s a reason it’s been said don’t argue with idiots, they’ll beat you every time. Politicians are the perfect example. They tell you they’re looking out for your best interests, when in fact they are looking for ways to take what is near and dear to your heart – Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
If that looks familiar take the black lives matter rant of 2020 when they said black lives really do matter, but only if you’re voting for their left leaning political party. But abortion clinics are full of black lives being snuffed out in epic proportions.
Listen to white politicians who say you are not black or black enough if you don’t vote for me. We spent four years watching as “president auto-pen” sat or rather slept through his presidency and his handpicked assistant did nothing to stop the charade while the first lady insured that he was protected from outside influences. In the past 7 months more has been revealed to the American public and the world about the rudderless ship of state where nobody was at the wheelhouse.
We are constantly subject to sanctimonious members of congress distressed about something or another not because it matters what has been happening to the nation, but because it threatens their longevity and power in congress. The oath to protect and defend the constitution seems to have been stricken from their consciousness.
Well the sun is going to rise in the morning. All that has been hidden in political darkness is being brought out into the sunlight where accountability and justice will prevail.
Residents in every city, state and territory of the United States must get their priorities in order. Elections have consequences and midterm elections are happening in some states already.
If those running for elected office cannot, will not or do not proclaim their intention to fix what is wrong in America, but offer their only goal is anti-Trump do not give them your vote.
If crime is rampant in your city/neighborhood and you receive a “do not disturb” sign from local law enforcement. Call for political reform of city managers, mayors, county commissioners and governors AT THE BALLOT BOX!
Demand federal intervention! State and local governments work for YOU. Fire them!
Inefficacy is not an option.
Everybody is entitled to safety and security at home, on the streets and across the nation.
Voting with common sense is a must. Don’t believe the promises of free stuff. Look at their track record in private and in politics.
If what I heard from the mouth of a GOP senator who has been in conversations with a number of senate DEMS they are not happy, but bound by a “code of unity” with Senator Schumer as leader of the DEMS. It is his will that all DEMS stick together to oppose President Trump’s agenda which has actually shut down the federal government for political purposes.
Remember back in March after Senator Schumer said it was bad for the nation and would hurt working Americans if the government shut down he actually voted opposite to what he held senate DEMS to. The backlash from the left was tremendous and he is actually afraid of losing his position as leader of the senate DEMS and possibly losing his NY senate seat in an upcoming election.
My question to senate DEMS is why do you not do a no-confidence vote for the Senate Minority Leader Schumer and vote someone with the brains and the guts to stand up for Americans? MN Senator John Fedderman comes to my mind. Admittedly he’s not always the snazziest dresser, but is not afraid to work across the aisle for the benefit of Americans.
Then if Schumer lifts the minority leader’s grip on senate DEMS maybe a lot more could be accomplished for the good of the entire nation. – RTM
Well it finally happened. The U.S. Government is officially shutdown.
Who’s to blame?
Is it because President Trump had a temper tantrum as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has said? He claims that the democrats weren’t even consulted…….? I guess the meeting with President Trump, Senate Minority Leader Schumer and House Minority Leader Haakim Jeffries or dialog from Senate and House GOP leaders and members doesn’t count?
Or is it something more hideous like President Trump saying – “NO” to what the Democrat Party wants:
Open borders
‘Transgender’ for everybody
Men competing in women’s sports
Crime and lawlessness in our streets
Cashless bail policies over the safety and security of our nation
I guess we should let the congressional voting record speak for itself:
House passed without a single democrat voting yes.
Senate failed to pass because only 3 democrats joined the republicans in voting yes to keep the government open. There are just some politicians who give themselves away when they open their mouths to lay the blame on everyone but themselves.
I say their voting record is like their own personal private horse – OWN IT!
Every member of congress who forgot the reason and by whom (voters) they were elected should tender their resignation and go back home to their previous profession, unless of course they had no professional skills to fall back on.
The full consequences of the shutdown are yet to be seen. What we know is that Democrats want to curtail the power of the president by doing the opposite of what he wants them to do. Now what is happening is the authority of congress is passed to the president to eliminate government agencies, eliminate government positions and fire government wasteful, fraudulent or unnecessary employees because their entire agency has been eliminated. Congress can do nothing about it while the government is shutdown.
Instead of voting yes (4+ times = NO), senate democrats have doomed government programs designed to help Americans, Instead of taking the credit (they always want the credit) for good, they must fess up to their own political vengeance that is now affecting the pay of federal employees, military personnel and first responders and more. Even house democrats who voted to shutdown the government have jumped on the bandwagon against the president and assume no responsibility for their actions.
Voters must realize that the democratic party is not their friend, but a very real threat to democracy in that their freedoms are tied to pleasing their political masters. Voters are getting exactly what they are voting for when they vote democrat over and over while expecting a different result. Sadly America as a whole get by what the majority of voters do at the polls and midterm elections are happening now. – RTM
Today the truth has been watered down to the point that many would not recognize the truth if it slapped them in the face. In a group of 5 people there will be at least 5 versions of the “truth” expressed and the “gospel truth” is according to whomever makes the group’s final decision.
Remember before a judge all parties are sworn to “tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God”? What ends up happening is everyone simply tells their version of the truth.

The bible tells us that Truth is a real person and that person is Jesus.

We are told that men can be women and women can be men. Not true!
Only men can have prostate exams and only women can have pap exams. Don’t believe me – try it!
We are also told that anyone can marry anyone or anything. Not true!
In Genesis, chapter 1 we see that God created man (male and female) and gave man dominion to subdue all living creatures, birds of the air, fish in the sea, each according to their kind.
God sanctioned marriage as a covenant between a man and a woman whereby they have children and populate the world. Sexual activity outside of marriage, same sex marriages or sex with animals is what God calls an abomination (sin).
In the 1700s this English writer Edmond Hoyle comes to mind as he was known as an authority for the rules of card games, where we get the phrase “according to Hoyle”.
Today I’ve hear people say “this is my truth” according to them, but what they say may not be true at all.

There are falsehoods, rumors and outright lies being broadcast across the airwaves, at town halls and on television by politicians who are propagating their own “truth” when it comes to political violence and acts of terrorism.
Only the truth is true.
One such misrepresentation of myth as truth is what has been and is still being said about the events of January 6th, 2021. So let me set the record straight AGAIN.
President Trump (#45) announced a MAGA Rally to be held on January 6, 2021, on the Mall in Washington, D.C. well in advance. When speaking to a crowd of MAGA supporters he clearly told them to peacefully go over to the Capital Building and watch the confirmation process in action.
Even while Trump was still speaking nefarious characters were being escorted into the Capital Building’s upper level entrance by Capital Police officers while early arriving MAGA folks watched and during a live OANN broadcast interview by OAN’s White House Correspondence Chanel Rion.
(I know because I was watching it live at the time).
After President Trump concluded his rally and as the MAGA crowd began arriving at the Capital Building Capital Police officers began waving to and inviting MAGA into a lower level entrance where a roped off area would allow them to a viewing area inside to watch the confirmation process. As the first of the MAGA crowd entered the Capital Building it was obvious that someone had overturned trash cans scattering trash and they began to upright the trash cans and pick up and place the trash back inside the cans.
When encountering troublemakers wearing MAGA and Trump gear attempting to break into areas not authorized for public access, MAGA supporters (including retired USAF security policeman Ashli Babbitt) during their attempt to stop the violence, Ashli Babbitt was shot and killed by Capital Police lieutenant Michael L. Byrd from behind a locked door who said he feared for his life. He was later hailed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as a hero. Also killed on J6 was Rosanne Boyland who died as a result of being trampled by the crowd.
The misinformation presented to the public was that President Trump incited the violence on J6 by directly ordering his MAGA folks to disrupt the confirmation process. NOT TRUE.
Four years after the J6 debacle it has been shown that more than 264 weaponized FBI agents, CIA and paid persons were at the J6 Capital Building doing whatever they could inside and outside to discredit President Trump and MAGA by destroying government and personal property inside the Capital Building and their actions did in fact disrupt the confirmation process and subsequently lead to the formation of the J6 Committee and the hunting down of any MAGA supporters who were in D. C. on January 6, 2021 with many being arrested, transported and held in a D. C. prison without initially being charged or allowed access to medical, legal, clergy, or family or congressional contact for weeks or months.
Ashli Babbitt (USAF Retired) was denied military burial or military honors.
Little to nothing was written or afforded to Rosanne Boyland.
January 6, 2021 was an attack on President Trump who exercised his constitutional right to challenge the entire 2020 election processes of a number of states and voting precincts and aimed to prevent his finishing his term in office and to prevent any future return to the White House.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Miley unlawfully began taking orders from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi instead of President Trump and should have been fired by the president, courts marshaled, reduced in rank and imprisoned.
One of the first actions taken by President Trump upon assuming office (#47) in 2025 was to pardon a number of the J6ers who were unfairly and illegally prosecuted or branded as un-Americans. I haven’t heard of any of the real culprits being arrested, charged and prosecuted for their actions on January 6, 2021.
When will the official record come to light? – RTM
If one is to believe the media headlines and their left-leaning “scoops” about President Trump trying to punish his political opponents, why not stop right there for a moment.
When boxers, wrestlers, runners, sports teams or athletes go into the ring, on the track or field they become opponents or adversaries. When politicians run for office or re-election their political opponents are the ones who jump into the race against them.
So tell me why are political lefts who have unlawfully gone after Trump in the court of public opinion or in state and federal courts with unfounded, trumped up and/or false accusations bent on sullying his name and reputation being called his political opponents? They are not!
After having democratic department of justice lawyers, judges and investigations under President’s Obama and Biden actually going after their political opposition over the past 16+ years and now many of them having broken the law in doing it, are being brought to accountability and hopefully the justice they themselves have denied their political opposition, why would they think to be called political opponents?
Does that make sense?
What we are seeing in the courts and in the streets is manufactured civil unrest perpetuated by democratic politicians who have no message of hope for Americans across the nation. Their downfall has been and always will be their open hate for all things Trump. Without Trump they have nothing to offer except their declaration of war on federal law enforcement that only results in death and violence.
With the widespread acts of terrorism, chaos and political violence it may be time for a presidential declaration of Martial Law and the implementation of a military restoration of order and peace across our land.
Elected officials and politicians at every level swear to protect and to serve the citizens of their districts, cities, states and the entire nation, yet many politicians choose to grab the spotlight and shine it upon themselves for political gain.
Not everyone who seeks and wins elected office SHOULD!
Take James Comey, former Director of the FBI under Obama and Trump’s first term, sent agents to the White House unlawfully to trap incoming Director of National Security Gen. Mike Flynn (because Trump was new and the FBI could get away with it), but when questioned by a congressional committee denied doing so. Flynn resigned. Comey actively pushed “RussiaGate” and leaked classified info to a “friend” for media release and was later fired by Trump. As a lawyer Comey thought he could just get away with it, and almost did. A grand jury decided that prosecution was warranted. Comey “I’m innocent. Let’s go to a jury trial.” It looks like he may in fact just get his wish.
Very shortly after FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino took office they were taken to a locked door with boxes of documents earmarked for destruction but had not been carried out.
I can’t help but wonder how much if any of the documents might come back to bite James Comey in his current situation?
The 1st Amendment does not condone political or civil violence, chaos, or looting. If you do it, aid others or provide financial support you are liable for felony prosecution.
I urge everyone to stop the political party bickering, name calling and willful disobedience.
If you do not back the blue – leave the country.

Today is Sunday, a day the Lord has made, and we will be glad and rejoice in it.
Today is a day to honor the life and legacy of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. I’ve watched many of the videos, television interviews and watched the effect of Charlie Kirk’s life on the lives of others, his legacy. Since Charlie Kirk’s assassination on 9-10-2025 there have been entertainers, popular and famous stars and political figures that have passed on from life on this planet leaving either a void or a legacy.
What will be your contribution – a void or a legacy?
What will you be remembered for?
Today is also a day to look back at my own life. The older I become I tend to lean more on how will people remember me? As the slim, trim and fit man of my youth? Or the seasoned jack of all trades and master of some? Or maybe it will be the grouchy old papa with those Mr. Potato “Crazy Eyes”?
Or will I be remembered at all?
My legacy will be my children, and their children’s children. I have two daughters and their names are “Grandma”.
I’m known as “Papa”. If that don’t make you smile……nothing will.
We haven’t always been one big happy family, but we were a military family, constantly moving, state to state, nation to nation and back again. There were schools in Colorado, California, Missouri, and Germany and back to Colorado.
We are a Christian family, where reverence to God, respect for each other and to strangers has been taught and passed down to the very youngest. Do unto others doesn’t mean before they do it unto you either. I’d like to think that God has my back as I walk the Christian walk. I’m a born again, committed follower of Jesus Christ, doing my best to be the best me I can be and shining the light, God’s light wherever I may go. I don’t shout it from the mountain tops, or broadcast it over the air waves, but talking to and about Jesus is a pretty cool place to be.
In fact God has a fantastic sense of humor – he created me! (& you)!
