On the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Grand Opening

The small town of Medora located in the “Badlands” of North Dakota is home to the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. Today’s ribbon cutting ceremony by President Donald J. Trump and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum officially opened the newly completed presidential center which focused on the life and legacy of the 26th President Theodore Roosevelt.

What we saw were the ceremonial Rough Riders riding escort, in formation and later in the stands behind President Trump as he delivered his address to the crowd praising Theodore Roosevelt and denouncing the ills of communism in American politics.

I couldn’t help but make a comparison of the TRPL in Medora, ND and the BOPC in Chicago, IL each with distinctly different focuses such as the bling, glamor or glitter, Hollywood entertainers, and elites and the trappings seen in Chicago recently when the Barack Obama Presidential Center opened. Also not seen were any of the living former presidents and their wives and democrat members of congress standing in solidarity and paying homage while the Obamas talked about me, myself, and I, as unpaid workers (-$13M) stood idly by, forgotten by a man they had once idolized. – RTM
