The Quest for Power over American Citizens

A driving force resulting in American freedom has been against unfair and over burdensome taxation and stifling of the free spirit given my Almighty God. That fight continues today after 250 years.

Unfortunately governmental overreach by unethical politicians seeks to limit the rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution, beginning with Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Let me be clear, unless an elected official swears allegiance to protect and defend the Constitution and simultaneously denounce foreign ties and allegiances, they should never hold public office.

Being elected or appointed to public office carries with it great responsibility, to Almighty God, the Nation, or State and to oneself respectively without respect to political party affiliation. Elected office is a public service and should never be seen as a “career” or a job to be held and retired from.  Nor should it be a position of relentless power over others or a means to amass a financial fortune in the process.

Public service means serving the needs (public safety and welfare and national security) of the constituents who voted to elect you by putting their needs ahead of any personal or political ambitions or aspirations. Instead of harping on what is wrong with others, why not sell your story of what you bring to the table and what you can do for the public good.

The checks and balances codified in the Constitution are meant to insure no branch can run amuck or impede any other branch of government. Civil discourse does not mean hurling insults, threats of violence or shouting down anyone because of personal, political differences. It does mean working it out TOGETHER!

It’s been said that absolute power corrupts absolutely; so let it also be said that the great equalizer to power is responsibility for words, actions and their consequences.

If public service is on your bucket list, make sure you’re carrying the right bucket! – RTM

I write highlighting the inconsistencies and hypocrisy of the far-left's war on anything Trump. There are too many willing to argue without merit and I would be remiss attempting to argue against their ignorance, they have way too much experience. My writings are my personal opinion intended to be educational in nature, a bit humorous, satirical, while being informative providing food for thought, which is sorely lacking today. For those who find my posts offensive, I am truly sorry, you have the right NOT to read them as have many before you.
