If you’re old enough to remember the duo of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in movie “The Patsy” you’ll understand how the 2007 political version was President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. America wanted and got change like never before. It is funny how Biden was for 8 years always overseas somewhere doing whatever he was doing and Americans were none the wiser.
When President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence assumed office in 2017 it was Biden who was running his mouth about how he blackmailed Ukraine into firing the special prosecutor looking at the Barisma-Biden connection. It was because of the infamous Trump phone call that caused Speaker Pelosi to impeach Trump (the first time). It was Pelosi who unsuccessfully called on VP Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment saying Trump was unfit to serve.
During the 2020 campaign season it was Biden who ran a very successful campaign from his basement “Oval Office” and seemed oblivious to the reality of the outside world.
American got their “morning after” wakeup call on J6 when President Trump was blamed for the attack on the Nation’s Capital and Biden became officially the President-Elect and Kamala Harris became the Vice President-Elect.
I find it unconscionable that President Biden has been let loose in the office of the presidency for the past 4 years without a word being uttered by Speaker Pelosi, any of his cabinet secretaries or members of congress about Biden’s mental fitness.
What is more disconcerting is that members of the White House Staff or surrogates appear to be making major decisions affecting national security while VP Harris has remained silent. Is she really that incompetent, unschooled on the 25th Amendment or complicit in this hoax before the American people and the world at large?
Even now in the final 3 weeks of the Biden presidency there have been no steps taken to declare President Biden unfit to serve, even with overwhelming and supporting evidence. – RTM
What would it mean to privatize the USPS from a government agency to a private postal service? After not having given it much thought I decided explore some pros and cons of this idea.
Cons
What I discovered is that because Trump had expressed interest in privatizing the postal service that pretty much all related articles were adamantly against it.
The postal workers union is leaning politically left toward democrats and not republicans. That in itself tells all I need to know that it may be a really good reason all by itself.
Many in the know think it’s just wrong.
The Constitution says that the United States Postal Service is the only entity granted the sole authority to create post offices and create postal routes.
Privatizing would create massive job cuts and/or unemployment.
No private company could duplicate the widespread postal routes.
No private company could adequately manage the equipment, vehicles and/or contractors of the USPS.
Cannot save employee retirement funds
Pros
Cut costs and waste
Increase productiveness and efficiency
Eliminate job security for unproductive or inefficient workers
These are not all inclusive cons or pros but I could see with different management and less government interference the USPS could become a very efficient organization saving enormous amounts of money and bringing costs down for all customers.
Yes it would take a bit of brainstorming and forward thinking to even tackle this monumental task but that’s what defines American Ingenuity. Not so much as reinventing the wheel, but making that wheel work effortlessly and efficiently. I say give it to DOGE and see what proposals come forth. – RTM
Are you easily influenced by what you see, hear or experience or by what you are told happened?
What is truth? How do we know unless we are able to discern the truth? The world we live in there seem to be many sides to truth.
The reality of what was seen happening and the facts reported influence what we believe happened.
It’s often not enough that we see something with our eyes, hear with our ears or know in our hearts only to be told that what we saw, heard or know is entirely false.
Commentators tell us what we are expected to believe. It is up to us to perceive with our eyes and to recognize or understand the differences.
The hardest part is changing our minds about what we believe.
For example let us look at immigration into the United States.
We see and feel the effects of Biden’s open border immigration policy in our communities by the huge influx of undocumented and unvetted people from other parts of the world that we are told are all refugees seeking asylum from corrupt governments, gangs or threats of torture or death when in reality many of those coming into our country are the very people causing fear of torture and death to the very people fleeing.
There is a huge difference between those seeking to migrate and those seeking asylum.
Not all migrants are asylum seekers.
Not all migrants are seeking a better life, only more opportunities.
There is an increase or resurgence of diseases previously made extinct in our society due to the lack of disease or health screening.
We are told that thousands of unaccompanied minors have crossed into our nation only to disappear. Why are unaccompanied children leaving their families in their homeland, traveling alone and being handed off to “sponsors” while there are no reports of parents searching for their children?
Each request to relocate into the US is a privilege that requires commitment and obedience to the laws of our nation. Unlawful immigration is not automatic grounds to be admitted, but a violation of US immigration laws and sufficient grounds for removal from the US. The rights defined in the Constitution of the United States apply to citizens.
We are told by elected officials that their priority is to protect the rights of migrants. People expect to be treated respectfully. Aiding and harboring unlawful migration is a federal offense and can lead to prosecution, fines and/or imprisonment. – RTM
I remember Barack Obama after being elected and being the community organizer that he was and is today began the gas lighting of America almost immediately. To add credibility to his “mission” Obama was awarded the “Nobel Peace Prize” not for what he did but for what he had the opportunity to do as president. Obama made a statement about being close to bringing fundamental changes to our nation which came as a complete surprise and the American people had no idea that those changes would be.
The first of many changes began with the categorical division of Americans by race, ethnicity, classes and monitory ($$). We were told that the United States was an evil nation from its foundation and that certain people among us (white, Christian, Veterans, & gun owners) were enemies of democracy.
The Democratic Party has gone so far as to write a proposed constitutional change that would take the United States from being a Constitutional-Republic to a Constitutional-Democracy giving ultimate power to the very elite at the top and turning us into just another 3rd world country.
During the 8 years of the Obama administration we began to see changes to our nation’s history with the removal and/or elimination of historical statues, monuments and even the renaming of our stateside military bases.
We witnessed the 9/11/12 attack on our nation’s embassy in Benghazi, Libya that killed 4 Americans, including Ambassador Stevens with absolutely nobody monitoring the White House’s presidential Situation “War” Room during the attack. The “cavalry” did not come to their rescue.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used unsecure emails, an unauthorized private server for classified communications with President Obama and others, and then she tried scrubbing her server of more than 34,000 emails and nobody blinked! No special prosecutor investigation. Nothing!
During the peaceful transfer of power from Obama to Trump what occurred was less than peaceful as governmental and media attacks on Trump began immediately on Inauguration Day 1-20-17. Americans who supported Trump were labeled threats to democracy. Trump administration officials and supporters were subject to discriminatory personal attacks and refused service at D.C. establishments. Trump was impeached twice during his term and accused of trying to bring down the president (himself). J6 was the final attempt to remove the sitting president and interfering with the electoral process by casting the blame on Trump and his supporters, many of whom have been rounded up and imprisoned, with many held without charges.
There is this ongoing effort to flood the country with AOC’s “Green New Deal” climate change schemes to stop fossil fuels production and distribution in an effort to bring the US economy crashing down.
There is a global effort to open national borders to allow the funneling of undocumented migrants claiming asylum from a host of nations through Mexico and Canada into the US in direct violation of US immigration law. In spite of the fact that aiding and harboring illegal migrants is a federal crime a number of cities and states are doing so claiming to protect the rights of migrants, while violating federal law and ignoring the rights of US citizens to be protected across our nation. These elected/appointed officials do not understand the predicament they place themselves personally in as they become actual lawbreakers.
America is at a historical crossroads to allow the continuation of “business as usual” politically or restore constitutional law and order? – RTM
The WSJ Bombshell Report on the Mental Health of President Joe Biden
I could begin by saying I told you so but it comes as no surprise to those outside the democratic bubble.
It was obvious to me back in March 2021 that newly elected President Biden was not at his best mentally. It was a combination of how he spoke and conducted himself presidentially. I saw it then as I do now that signs of aging had overtaken then 78 year old Biden. I blamed his wife, his family, his political party handlers and rightfully called it a crime of Elder Abuse, but greed overtook common sense and now after 4 years the Biden presidency has been fully exposed by an expose from the Wall Street Journal that summarized the handling of president with seriously declining mental health issues.
It is criminal, if not illegal, the manner in which presidential decisions were made and executive orders written and executed by a president not fully able to function in his presidential capacity. Who made those decisions, his chief of staff(s), office manager or residential custodian? Maybe an investigation into every decision, every document or every presidential action will uncover who is behind it all?
I believe it began even before the 2020 Election. Then VP Joe Biden spent much of his time at his home in Delaware and I made a comment that if someone set up his basement to look like the Oval Office and told him he had won the election, Biden would believe it. It wasn’t long before Biden was seen with that infamous photograph of him in front of his “Office of the President-Elect” (office did not exist) sign demanding that President Trump concede the election. This was way before the Electoral College had voted in December 2020 or confirmed the election on J6, 2021.
What transpired was the greatest hoax ever played on the American people. They were told that President Biden was the greatest president ever. Former Speaker Pelosi said he was a “Mount Rushmore” kind of president, just before she axed his bid for re-election.
Experts say it was “The Debate” with President Trump that made it very clear that President Biden was not in control of his faculties. It was then that the Democratic Party knew the jig was up and swapped Harris for Biden in their failed bid to defeat Trump at the polls.
What I don’t understand is how in the world VP Kamala Harris has not invoked the 25th Amendment to seat herself in the Oval Office? There is precedence and protocol. At best she could have become the #47th president and at worst she could have become Acting President until January 20th. Is she not that smart? Is there anybody in Congress or the Cabinet smart enough to read the 25th Amendment?
The USS America is a rudderless ship, with the engines running at full speed, but the captain is actually asleep at the wheel. The world around us is at war. Our neighbors are funneling undocumented migrants, drugs, gangs, human trafficking and worse into our homeland. 32 democratic states are in shambles as they must care for and feed the migrants and have no time to worry about the citizens they are supposed to protect and defend. President Biden is being kept out of public view while Vice President Harris is also nowhere to be found and what is worse – nobody seems to care!
In 31 days President Trump will be inaugurated and his cabinet picks are being vetted before the Senate. – RTM
The other day California Governor Gavin Newsom rallied supporters at a news conference with talk of his being DOGE before there was a federal task force. He eliminated this & merged that and did this and did that. It was very impressive.
One thing Newsom didn’t say was how many tax dollars he saved California taxpayers or the surplus of federal COVID tax dollars his state had recently reinvested or why they didn’t get to the people who desperately needed it then and more-so now.
I award this democratic blue state governor with the prized DBSoI (Democratic State of Inefficiency) award. – RTM
In this game we call life where everyone seems to be out to get as much, do as much to become the top dog in our realm or sphere of influence we begin to wonder is this it? Are we all we can be? Or is there more to life than what we’ve experienced?
I can tell you that as sad as it may seem, even in the kingdom of your mind – life is not about you.
Fame, fortune, riches and treasures beyond your wildest imagination do not fill that emptiness, that spot in your heart that is longing to be filled.
So what is life all about? Is it putting money in a collection plate, a beggar’s tin cup or giving $19 per month, getting a t-shirt or blanket that says you gave? Is it handing that street urchin a buck, a bottle of water or a hot meal on a cold day? How about giving socks, a coat or clothes to those in need or helping to bring comfort to a tortured soul? All of these may be worthy causes, but if your motivation is misplaced or your thought process is in the wrong place, the satisfaction is only temporary. People around the world are in desperate need. They always have been and always will be.
What if you could give someone something that is eternally life-saving? And what if that gift is nothing more than the introduction to life’s greatest gift from God – HIS son Jesus? Then couple that to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of that person to forever change the direction of their life?
Jesus is more than enough to meet the challenges of life’s ups and downs, but it requires placing all of your trust in him.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world [you just as you are] that he gave his only begotten son, Jesus, that whoever [you] believes will not perish but have eternal life.”
As we approach the season of Christmas, don’t get overwhelmed by all the commercialization of buying and giving or what you may get.
Remember one thing – Jesus loves you. He always has and always will love you.
This reminds me of a really bad movie plot that could be called “The Attack of the Drones”. Americans are panicking big time, like the “Clown Scare” of a few years back – remember?
Folks are seeing flashing lights in the nighttime sky and wondering what they are, so they call the news, the police, local military sources and even the White House to find out what is happening. People are wondering if it’s an attack on our nation’s homeland, military style training or law enforcement action.
The answers from a DOD spokesperson really lack substance – “It’s not anything concerning public safety or national security and no there isn’t an Iranian “mother ship” just off the eastern coast of New Jersey sending drone swarms to spy on us”. When asked why the DOD isn’t doing anything to shoot them down, the answer given floored me, “We haven’t been asked:.
Another unofficial response was that only 5 government agencies are “authorized” to use lethal force on aircraft and if a citizen takes things into their own hands they could end up in jail.
Some officials doubt the validity of these drone sightings that are occurring nightly and when a New Jersey State Police helicopter spotted one hovering below, it simply turned off its lights and skedaddled away like a speeding car from a police radar trap.
White House and DOD spokespersons have no problem telling us they have no idea what they are, where they originated but rest assured they pose no public threat.
During a press conference when President Trump was asked about the drones, his answer made the most sense of anything I’ve heard so far – “Our government knows what they are, where they come from but for unknown reasons they just don’t want to tell the public.”
I venture to say that maybe it’s because there is no adult supervision in the White House or elsewhere to tell the appropriate agencies to take a look and report to the American people what they find?
Granted anyone can go down to their local hobby shop, a big box or specialty store or go online to purchase a drone for a fairly reasonable price and fly them all over the place, but drones the size of a small car or SUV (as some have reported) might just cost a bit more.
I’ve seen a number of videos, pictures and assessments of whether these are drones or aircraft and one thing I know for sure is that the FCC requires all aircraft to use transponders that tell the type of aircraft and air traffic controllers at each major airport can “see” on their radar screens aircraft in the vicinity of air traffic patterns. The FCC also requires specific operating lights on the tips of each wing and landing lights for incoming and outbound air traffic. If there were wayward drones in or around the airspace or certain military bases there is no way they could go undetected for long.
What we don’t need is a bunch of video game expert sharpshooters or snipers aiming howitzers, cannons, or machine guns at things flying around in the night time sky, because what goes up must come down, includes ammunition (bullets).
I have no doubt that on or after January 20th there will suddenly be “full disclosure” of these drone sightings and then the nations of the world will cease their laughing at us crazy Americans who are scared at their own shadows.
I’ve been asking myself, “With all the migrant convoys what are we missing?”
A lot it seems.
“Who is funding these migrants?”
“How is this happening now?”
“What is going on?”
What we see as an “invasion” of migrants through our borders has in fact been a U.N. plan to move people globally into our country (20+M so far) leaving Americans are none the wiser. The Global Compact for Migration is an unsustainable plan that protects migrant rights while ignoring the rights of citizens.
President Barack Obama’s administration was instrumental in talks leading up to a “Declaration of the 2013 High-Level Dialogue on International Migration and Development”.
So why has the interests and Constitution of the United States been subverted by these non-binding documents? International migration in Europe was halted because of the overwhelming problems and issues involving States sovereignty.
In 2016 the Obama administration conspired with the United Nations Heads of State and Government for the first time ever at the UN General Assembly to discuss migration and refugees. The New York Declaration set in motion a process of intergovernmental consultations and negotiations towards the development of a Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. This process concluded on 10 December 2018 with the adoption of the Global Compact by the majority of UN Member States at an Intergovernmental Conference in Marrakesh, Morocco, followed closely by formal endorsement by the UN General Assembly on 19 December.
The Global Compact is the first inter-governmentally negotiated agreement, prepared under the auspices of the United Nations, covering all dimensions of international migration in a holistic and comprehensive manner. It is a non-binding document that respects states’ sovereign right to determine who enters and stays in their territory and demonstrates commitment to international cooperation on migration. It presents a significant opportunity to improve the governance of migration, to address the challenges associated with today’s migration, and to strengthen the contribution of migrants and migration to sustainable development. The Global Compact is framed in a way consistent with target 10.7 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in which Member States committed to cooperate internationally to facilitate safe, orderly and regular migration. The Global Compact is designed to:
Support international cooperation on the governance of international migration;
Provide a comprehensive menu of options for States from which they can select policy options to address some of the most pressing issues around international migration; and
Give states the space and flexibility to pursue implementation based on their own migration realities and capacities.
For the first time on 19 September 2016 Heads of State and Government came together to discuss, at the global level within the UN General Assembly, issues related to migration and refugees. This sent an important political message that migration and refugee matters have become major issues in the international agenda. In adopting the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants, the 193 UN Member States recognized the need for a comprehensive approach to human mobility and enhanced cooperation at the global level and committed to:
Protect the safety, dignity and human rights and fundamental freedoms of all migrants, regardless of their migratory status, and at all times;
Support countries rescuing, receiving and hosting large numbers of refugees and migrants;
Integrate migrants – addressing their needs and capacities as well as those of receiving communities – in humanitarian and development assistance frameworks and planning;
Combat xenophobia, racism and discrimination towards all migrants;
Develop, through a state-led process, non-binding principles and voluntary guidelines on the treatment of migrants in vulnerable situations; and
Strengthen global governance of migration, including by bringing IOM into the UN family and through the development of a Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration
Annex II of the New York Declaration set in motion a process of intergovernmental consultations and negotiations culminating in the planned adoption of the Global Compact for Migration at an intergovernmental conference on international migration in 2018.
The Global Compact is framed consistent with target 10.7 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in which Member States committed to cooperate internationally to facilitate safe, orderly and regular migration and its scope is defined in Annex II of the New York Declaration. It is intended to:
Address all aspects of international migration, including the humanitarian, developmental, human rights-related and other aspects;
Make an important contribution to global governance and enhance coordination on international migration;
Present a framework for comprehensive international cooperation on migrants and human mobility;
Set out a range of actionable commitments, means of implementation and a framework for follow-up and review among Member States regarding international migration in all its dimensions;
Be guided by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda; and
Be informed by the Declaration of the 2013 High-Level Dialogue on International Migration and Development.
The Modalities Resolution for the intergovernmental negotiations of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration outlined the key elements and timeline of the process. The Global Compact was developed through an open, transparent and inclusive process of consultations and negotiations and the effective participation of all relevant stakeholders, including civil society, the private sector, academic institutions, parliaments, diaspora communities, and migrant organizations in both the intergovernmental conference and its preparatory process.
I then began looking at how these migrants are being funneled through Mexico and Canada to our nation’s borders and force-fed into our interior without consequence.
Mexico’s migration policy is sovereign, seeks to protect migrants’ rights
Under the administration of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Mexico was the first country to adopt the U.N. Global Compact for Migration in order to ensure a safe, orderly and regular flow of migrants. In keeping with the principles of the global compact and in contrast to the policy of previous administrations, Mexico has stopped deporting hundreds of thousands of Central American migrants.
The Mexican government has instituted a new migration policy based on two main pillars: defending migrants’ rights and taking a humanitarian approach to economic development in order to address the structural causes of migration.
Accordingly, Mexico has granted legal status to more than thirteen thousand foreign nationals who have entered the country at our southern border in order to document their entry and help some of them enter the job market. The new policy rights the fundamental wrong committed previously of condemning migrants to illegality and, therefore, to marginalization and vulnerability.
In like manner, the Mexican government is spearheading the Comprehensive Development Plan. With input from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, the plan includes various projects to boost the economic development of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, thereby mitigating the structural causes that trigger migration.
The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the Interior reiterate that Mexico’s implementation of its new migration policy is a sovereign and independent decision to put human rights and the expansion of egalitarian economic development in the region at its core.
The Government of Mexico reiterates that there is no binding agreement with the United States Government to respond to the increased flow of people, mainly families from Central America, who aspire to travel to Mexico and the United States in search of opportunity and protection.
In response to the unilateral decision of the U.S. government to implement Article 235(b)(2)(C) of its Immigration and Nationality Act, Mexico has opted to assist the migrants. For humanitarian reasons, and as a temporary measure, the Mexican government has authorized the entry of some asylum seekers from the United States while they wait for their hearing with the appropriate authorities. The alternative, deporting them from our country, would mean denying the right of asylum that the Mexican government upholds and protects.
Mexico’s migration authorities are in ongoing communication with their U.S. counterparts in order to ensure that people cross our shared border in a safe and orderly way. In addition, the Mexican government has established specific criteria for the return of certain individuals who entered the United States to request asylum. For example, it will not admit unaccompanied minors into our territory or allow families to be separated.
Mexico respects the sovereign right of the United States to carry out its immigration programs, but we have acted and will continue to act independently and in our sovereign right when determining our own migration policy.
It is obvious (to me) that Mexico has the authority and power to allow migrants into Mexico from Central & South America and other countries. However they do not have the expectation that the United States will simply allow migrants into our country. Those seeking asylum or refugee status should do so at the first country they encounter after leaving their homeland.
As American citizens we have been sold a “bill of goods” and it is not worth the paper it was written on by a government claiming full transparency, while keeping this fiasco out of sight of the American public. I urge President Trump to bring this train of thought to a halt – and NOW!
America is not for sale, not now, not ever. There are problems with the immigration policy of the United States, but they can and should be solved by legislation that does not circumvent the Constitution.
There is a difference between lawful and unlawful migration, refugees seeking amnesty and those simply wanting to come here for a better life. Seeking permission is not the same as demanding anything. Being allowed in this country MUST begin with being granted admittance lawfully. – RTM
I’d like to think of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) as President Trump’s proposed presidential advisory commission, or the modern day equivalent of the Peace Corps (1961) and Job Corps (1964) with a huge caveat in that DOGE differs by focusing on trimming pork and inefficiency from the federal government using non-paid citizen-volunteers to do the heavy lifting. DOGE is headed by volunteers Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy in coordination with the Office of Management and Budget and the Council of Economic Advisers. DOGE is tasked with restructuring the federal government of the United States and removing regulations in order to reduce expenditures and increase government efficiency. DOGE’s work will begin on January 20th, 2025 and conclude no later than July 4, 2026.
Will it work?
Our bloated government is costing taxpayers untold $B$ yearly. So my question is where are they going to begin? Do they recommend to the president and to congress the shuttering of entire agencies; the mass firing of civil service employees; or encouraging retirement for those who qualify? What about holding employees accountable for their actions/inaction?
DOGE is more than simply a “think tank” but the brains of a detailed and thorough evaluation and accountability entity with no power to make changes, but the authority to forward their evaluation and to bring recommendations to the Executive Branch.
What about conflicts of interest?
I don’t see any COI possibility as none of the volunteers have a vested interest in making this work, other than that of ordinary taxpayers who believe in smaller government, working smarter, not harder is the way of the future of America.
In the spirit of Making America Great Again I concur that President Trump’s idea could work wonders when the motivation behind the effort is driving the train for the greater good of our nation. – RTM
