What is the Truth?

Today the truth has been watered down to the point that many would not recognize the truth if it slapped them in the face. In a group of 5 people there will be at least 5 versions of the “truth” expressed and the “gospel truth” is according to whomever makes the group’s final decision.

Remember before a judge all parties are sworn to “tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God”? What ends up happening is everyone simply tells their version of the truth.

1 Kings 3:16-28

Contemporary English Version

¹⁶ One day two women^[a] came to King Solomon, ¹⁷ and one of them said:

Your Majesty, this woman and I live in the same house. Not long ago my baby was born at home, ¹⁸ and three days later her baby was born. Nobody else was there with us.

¹⁹ One night while we were all asleep, she rolled over on her baby, and he died. ²⁰ Then while I was still asleep, she got up and took my son out of my bed. She put him in her bed, then she put her dead baby next to me.

²¹ In the morning when I got up to feed my son, I saw that he was dead. But when I looked at him in the light, I knew he wasn’t my son.

²² “No!” the other woman shouted. “He was your son. My baby is alive!”

“The dead baby is yours,” the first woman yelled. “Mine is alive!”

They argued back and forth in front of Solomon, ²³ until finally he said, “Both of you say this live baby is yours. ²⁴ Someone bring me a sword.”

A sword was brought, and Solomon ordered, ²⁵ “Cut the baby in half! That way each of you can have part of him.”

²⁶ “Please don’t kill my son,” the baby’s mother screamed. “Your Majesty, I love him very much, but give him to her. Just don’t kill him.”

The other woman shouted, “Go ahead and cut him in half. Then neither of us will have the baby.”

²⁷ Solomon said, “Don’t kill the baby.” Then he pointed to the first woman, “She is his real mother. Give the baby to her.”

²⁸ Everyone in Israel was amazed when they heard how Solomon had made his decision. They realized that God had given him wisdom to judge fairly.

The bible tells us that Truth is a real person and that person is Jesus.

John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

We are told that men can be women and women can be men. Not true!

Only men can have prostate exams and only women can have pap exams. Don’t believe me – try it!

We are also told that anyone can marry anyone or anything. Not true!

In Genesis, chapter 1 we see that God created man (male and female) and gave man dominion to subdue all living creatures, birds of the air, fish in the sea, each according to their kind.

God sanctioned marriage as a covenant between a man and a woman whereby they have children and populate the world. Sexual activity outside of marriage, same sex marriages or sex with animals is what God calls an abomination (sin).

In the 1700s this English writer Edmond Hoyle comes to mind as he was known as an authority for the rules of card games, where we get the phrase “according to Hoyle”.

Today I’ve hear people say “this is my truth” according to them, but what they say may not be true at all.

As a Christian I know to take what I hear or read and discern it against what the Bible says is right or wrong – I chose to believe God! – RTM

Common Basis of Facts

There are falsehoods, rumors and outright lies being broadcast across the airwaves, at town halls and on television by politicians who are propagating their own “truth” when it comes to political violence and acts of terrorism.

Only the truth is true.

One such misrepresentation of myth as truth is what has been and is still being said about the events of January 6^th, 2021. So let me set the record straight AGAIN.

President Trump (#45) announced a MAGA Rally to be held on January 6, 2021, on the Mall in Washington, D.C. well in advance. When speaking to a crowd of MAGA supporters he clearly told them to peacefully go over to the Capital Building and watch the confirmation process in action.

Even while Trump was still speaking nefarious characters were being escorted into the Capital Building’s upper level entrance by Capital Police officers while early arriving MAGA folks watched and during a live OANN broadcast interview by OAN’s White House Correspondence Chanel Rion.

(I know because I was watching it live at the time).

After President Trump concluded his rally and as the MAGA crowd began arriving at the Capital Building Capital Police officers began waving to and inviting MAGA into a lower level entrance where a roped off area would allow them to a viewing area inside to watch the confirmation process. As the first of the MAGA crowd entered the Capital Building it was obvious that someone had overturned trash cans scattering trash and they began to upright the trash cans and pick up and place the trash back inside the cans.

When encountering troublemakers wearing MAGA and Trump gear attempting to break into areas not authorized for public access, MAGA supporters (including retired USAF security policeman Ashli Babbitt) during their attempt to stop the violence, Ashli Babbitt was shot and killed by Capital Police lieutenant Michael L. Byrd from behind a locked door who said he feared for his life. He was later hailed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as a hero. Also killed on J6 was Rosanne Boyland who died as a result of being trampled by the crowd.

The misinformation presented to the public was that President Trump incited the violence on J6 by directly ordering his MAGA folks to disrupt the confirmation process. NOT TRUE.

Four years after the J6 debacle it has been shown that more than 264 weaponized FBI agents, CIA and paid persons were at the J6 Capital Building doing whatever they could inside and outside to discredit President Trump and MAGA by destroying government and personal property inside the Capital Building and their actions did in fact disrupt the confirmation process and subsequently lead to the formation of the J6 Committee and the hunting down of any MAGA supporters who were in D. C. on January 6, 2021 with many being arrested, transported and held in a D. C. prison without initially being charged or allowed access to medical, legal, clergy, or family or congressional contact for weeks or months.

Ashli Babbitt (USAF Retired) was denied military burial or military honors.

Little to nothing was written or afforded to Rosanne Boyland.

January 6, 2021 was an attack on President Trump who exercised his constitutional right to challenge the entire 2020 election processes of a number of states and voting precincts and aimed to prevent his finishing his term in office and to prevent any future return to the White House.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Miley unlawfully began taking orders from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi instead of President Trump and should have been fired by the president, courts marshaled, reduced in rank and imprisoned.

One of the first actions taken by President Trump upon assuming office (#47) in 2025 was to pardon a number of the J6ers who were unfairly and illegally prosecuted or branded as un-Americans. I haven’t heard of any of the real culprits being arrested, charged and prosecuted for their actions on January 6, 2021.

On Trump Targeting Political Opponents

If one is to believe the media headlines and their left-leaning “scoops” about President Trump trying to punish his political opponents, why not stop right there for a moment.

When boxers, wrestlers, runners, sports teams or athletes go into the ring, on the track or field they become opponents or adversaries. When politicians run for office or re-election their political opponents are the ones who jump into the race against them.

So tell me why are political lefts who have unlawfully gone after Trump in the court of public opinion or in state and federal courts with unfounded, trumped up and/or false accusations bent on sullying his name and reputation being called his political opponents? They are not!

After having democratic department of justice lawyers, judges and investigations under President’s Obama and Biden actually going after their political opposition over the past 16+ years and now many of them having broken the law in doing it, are being brought to accountability and hopefully the justice they themselves have denied their political opposition, why would they think to be called political opponents?

Does that make sense?

What we are seeing in the courts and in the streets is manufactured civil unrest perpetuated by democratic politicians who have no message of hope for Americans across the nation. Their downfall has been and always will be their open hate for all things Trump. Without Trump they have nothing to offer except their declaration of war on federal law enforcement that only results in death and violence.

With the widespread acts of terrorism, chaos and political violence it may be time for a presidential declaration of Martial Law and the implementation of a military restoration of order and peace across our land.

Elected officials and politicians at every level swear to protect and to serve the citizens of their districts, cities, states and the entire nation, yet many politicians choose to grab the spotlight and shine it upon themselves for political gain.

Not everyone who seeks and wins elected office SHOULD!

Take James Comey, former Director of the FBI under Obama and Trump’s first term, sent agents to the White House unlawfully to trap incoming Director of National Security Gen. Mike Flynn (because Trump was new and the FBI could get away with it), but when questioned by a congressional committee denied doing so. Flynn resigned. Comey actively pushed “RussiaGate” and leaked classified info to a “friend” for media release and was later fired by Trump. As a lawyer Comey thought he could just get away with it, and almost did. A grand jury decided that prosecution was warranted. Comey “I’m innocent. Let’s go to a jury trial.” It looks like he may in fact just get his wish.

Very shortly after FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino took office they were taken to a locked door with boxes of documents earmarked for destruction but had not been carried out.

I can’t help but wonder how much if any of the documents might come back to bite James Comey in his current situation?

The 1st Amendment does not condone political or civil violence, chaos, or looting. If you do it, aid others or provide financial support you are liable for felony prosecution.

I urge everyone to stop the political party bickering, name calling and willful disobedience.

If you do not back the blue – leave the country.

What Will You Leave Behind?

Today is Sunday, a day the Lord has made, and we will be glad and rejoice in it.

Today is a day to honor the life and legacy of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. I’ve watched many of the videos, television interviews and watched the effect of Charlie Kirk’s life on the lives of others, his legacy. Since Charlie Kirk’s assassination on 9-10-2025 there have been entertainers, popular and famous stars and political figures that have passed on from life on this planet leaving either a void or a legacy.

What will be your contribution – a void or a legacy?

What will you be remembered for?

Today is also a day to look back at my own life. The older I become I tend to lean more on how will people remember me? As the slim, trim and fit man of my youth? Or the seasoned jack of all trades and master of some? Or maybe it will be the grouchy old papa with those Mr. Potato “Crazy Eyes”?

Or will I be remembered at all?

My legacy will be my children, and their children’s children. I have two daughters and their names are “Grandma”.

I’m known as “Papa”. If that don’t make you smile……nothing will.

We haven’t always been one big happy family, but we were a military family, constantly moving, state to state, nation to nation and back again. There were schools in Colorado, California, Missouri, and Germany and back to Colorado.

We are a Christian family, where reverence to God, respect for each other and to strangers has been taught and passed down to the very youngest. Do unto others doesn’t mean before they do it unto you either. I’d like to think that God has my back as I walk the Christian walk. I’m a born again, committed follower of Jesus Christ, doing my best to be the best me I can be and shining the light, God’s light wherever I may go. I don’t shout it from the mountain tops, or broadcast it over the air waves, but talking to and about Jesus is a pretty cool place to be.

In fact God has a fantastic sense of humor – he created me! (& you)!

Lord let me not leave just a void, a space soon forgotten, but let my legacy be known as “A man who loved God, his family and The United States of America”. – RTM

What Do I Think About This Charlie Kirk Situation?

Recently a technician working on my internet issues asked what I thought about the Charlie Kirk assassination. Charlie Kirk was one man, a Christian, a husband, father and a patriot actually doing something about the “minion mentality” of today’s youth, Gen X, Y, Z and beyond by challenging their intellect in meaningful debates (you know like they used to do with high school debate teams). Charlie said to be effective they must be grounded in truth, for him it was the Bible. It’s been said that “one man can make a difference” and Charlie is one of the best examples of being that one man.

What is true is that God made only one Charlie Kirk. In fact, God made only one you and me. We were not randomly placed on this earth just to breathe air and take up space. We were each created with a purpose, some may rise to great heights financially, politically or technologically, but what we accomplish depends upon how we respond to our environment and the world around us as we search for God’s plan for our own life. It’s also true that nobody is born with a “silver spoon in their mouth” although one may be placed there by caring parents, family or friends, but we are each created by God equally – needing air, water, nourishment and love that comes from God.  

Charlie Kirk didn’t try to tell anyone else what to think, but simply to think and question everything.  Charlie challenged the status quo, the fake news, the misinformation and propaganda that is prevalent on high school and college campuses across the nation and around the world.

Sunday 9-21-2025 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona will be Charlie’s celebration of life service where family and friends will pay tribute to the man who lived out his faith, his patriotism and his duties as a husband and father and as the driving force behind Turning Point USA. Charlie was and is an inspiration for others. Charlie was not perfect, but walked in the perfect will of God for his life. Charlie is now in the very presence of Almighty God. – RTM

The Courage of His Faith

It was never about Charlie Kirk, but the convictions of his faith in Jesus Christ. He didn’t just wear his faith on his sleeves but he was defined by publicly living out his faith. Just as the sun rises in the east, Charlie Kirk was a born-again Bible believing follower of Christ. He prayed that his words conveyed were what God wanted him to say. In September 10th, 2025 hearts were broken, lives were changed and the course of this nation was altered in a way that only God knew.

When asked how he wanted to be remembered Charlie said the most important was “by the courage of his faith”. From family to co-workers, leaders of faith and of the nation everyone saw a great political future for Charlie, but even though he said that was not for him he was a great politician.

Charlie’s most avid supporters were God, his family and those around him who caught his vision of engaging America’s young people in open debates about any topic, and at any time without judgment.

As Charlie stated right from wrong, some were offended, others enlightened and set on a new course in their beliefs. Charlie didn’t tell them how or what to think, but simply to think and to question everything. He said they needed a baseline to know right from wrong, for him it was the Bible.

The shock of losing a public figure to political violence changes one’s perspective on life. Nobody will forget where they were when they saw or heard the news that Charlie Kirk had been assassinated. Why do bad things happen to good people? Maybe it is to challenge each of us about placing our trust in God, not man or government.

The great awakening across this nation and around the world is possible because of the spark that ignited the spiritual walk of someone like Charlie Kirk. May God richly bless and comfort Charlie’s family, guide the movement of his ministry and this great nation. – RTM

Thy Will Be Done

As believers we pray for the will of God in our lives. We yearn to touch the world around us for the gospel of Jesus Christ. We sow seeds of faith in hopes that one day those seeds will produce believers from the vast fields of unbelief. We hope and pray that one day when we take our final breath we will be instantly translated into the presence of Almighty God. We want to go out “with our boots on” or as they may have said in the wild, wild west, “with guns ablazing” (or maybe that’s just Hollywood).

What we fail to understand is where the bible tells us to “Study to show ourselves approved” from 2 Timothy 2:25 (NIV), where it says: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth”.

We then must pray asking God to give us HIS purpose for our life. We sing and we pray “have your own way Lord, have our own way”, yet we are often fearful of what that way actually is.

There are many examples in the old and new testaments where ordinary men and women are called by God to do extra-ordinary tasks. Once they have accepted the call from God, they have gone out to change the world in which they live.

In more modern times there have been those who have answered the call of God upon their lives resulting in they being totally and radically changed. (Like Saul on a mission to rid the earth of these blasphemers of God, before meeting Jesus and becoming Paul a radically committed follower of Christ).

One such American Christian was Jim Elliott, who felt called to witness to tribes of Central America only to be murdered, martyred for the gospel. His wife wrote a book, “In the Shadow of the Almighty”.

Another is singer, songwriter Keith Green who as a very young man traveled the coastline of California playing in barrooms and honkytonks before meeting Jesus who forever changed his life. Keith began writing, singing and playing songs as the voice of God to audiences. Radio stations and churches all refused to play his music. Keith and his wife Melody began ministering to druggies and potheads to the point they sold their modest home, purchased a ranch in Texas and moved their entire ministry. Keith was unabashedly and totally committed to God. His motto was “No Compromise”, as was the name of the book written by his wife after Keith, two of his children and several family members were killed in a small airplane crash shortly after taking off from their Texas ranch. Today many of his songs is played in churches around the world.

There are others, men and women who after becoming sold out and radically changed have brought God to a great many unsaved people across the globe. One such woman was my friend Paula Randall, a wife and mother who led worship and prayer services in Yokohama, Japan along with her husband Pastor Jim Randall, until she came down with and succumbed to Parkinson’s Disease.

The recent assassination of Charles Kirk a divot Christian, husband and father of 2 young children and the founder of Turning Point USA, a ministry to America’s youth has caused a great number of followers to question, “Why Charlie, God”? Why do bad things happened to good people? What we should be asking is “Why not Charlie”? Was his unexpected death not in God’s plan? Charlie was a Christian who moved with a purpose, God’s purpose. His debating skills were excellent, some might say it was the work of the Holy Spirit living inside of him that made it all happen.

Maybe it’s time for believers around the globe to be more like Charlie (WWCD), who strived to be more like Jesus (WWJD) to move, act and speak with a purpose that came from a loving creator God?

We know and believe that to be absent from the body is to be in the presence of God as said in 2 Corinthians 5:8, “We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord”.

What I can say is, what a way to go…….instantaneously and without prolonged suffering.

For the non-believer a heart attack can be painful; a stroke can leave one crippled for life; an automobile accident can be devastating and leave someone bedridden, alive only by machines, medication and constant personal care.

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life”.

After that last breath, that last heartbeat, that last taste of life on this earth, there is no coming back from the hereafter, from the brink, no “do-over”.

God’s grace and His plan of Salvation is totally free, but will cost you everything. What will be your excuse? – RTM

Peace Be Still

In the scripture we read that Jesus was on the earth approximately 33 years and the last 3 years he gathered his disciples, whom he called by name. Jesus spoke to them what his Father in heaven told him and said that he was going away to prepare a place for them. He said he would return again one day to take them to the place he had prepared for them.

The world they had come to know was falling apart. They had seen John the Baptist beheaded for speaking truth to darkness.

Jesus did not mount an army to remove the Romans from ruling over the Jews and now Jesus himself had been crucified. For three days the disciples huddled in the upper room afraid that they would be hunted down next because they had believed in and followed Jesus.

When Jesus first revealed himself to his disciples he began with “Peace Be Still” and “Be Not Afraid”.

The world was in turmoil. Sin was rampant. It seemed that Satan had the upper hand.

Jesus said not to worry because he had taken the keys to hell and the grave. He had conquered sin. Jesus said he was coming back again.

Not much has changed. Today the world is still spinning out of control. Sin is still rampant. It appears that Satan has the upper hand.

Hell is real.

Heaven is real.

Bad things happen to good people.

Bad people seem to go unpunished.

God will not be mocked.

God is in control.

Everything happens for a reason and that reason is to bring sinful man back into right standing with the God who created them.

The day is coming when Jesus will come back to retrieve his own to reign with him in heaven. Those who choose to accept God’s forgiveness of sin, believing that Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin, crucified for the sins of mankind and raised again on the third day have a future that extends far beyond life on this failed and sinful planet, for eternity.

Those who do not accept God’s saving grace are destined to spend eternity with Satan and his demons where there is no good thing. Think of it this way, you choosing to live in a world spinning out of control without hope or relief. A place where after your last breath, all of the bad things throughout human history are collectively and compoundedly far worse than anything you can imagine. It is a place where you get exactly what you wish for and totally deserve with no way out.

Killing Charlie

The assassination of Charlie Kirk on 9-10-2025 on the Utah Valley University campus in Orem was an anti-religious hate crime and a deliberate act of senseless political violence. Because it was carried live on television, cable and over the internet it sent shockwaves of anger, frustration and fear instantly around the world.

Let me be clear, Charlie Kirk was an avid Christian, a Patriot, a son, a husband and a father who loved Jesus Christ, his family, the United States of America, and was unapologetically unafraid to engage in political debates or one-on-one discussions with anyone.

Talking heads of the political left and their media are no different in their rhetoric than Islamic Terrorists who use fear as a means of establishing and maintaining control over the people they influence. In this case they use terms like “a hatful, divisive right wing political activist” to attach an idea to someone they do not know.

Pastor David Jeremiah once preached, “Envy always hates the Excellency it cannot reach”. He went on to say that Stand-up People: Get promoted; are persecuted; are protected from the law; are protected by the Lord; are powerful. God’s man in the center of God’s will is immortal until God is finished with him.”

Let me say this, the impact of Charlie Kirk’s mission on earth is yet to be felt across this nation and around the world.

A quote from Martin Luther King, Jr’s. ‘Darkness cannot drive out darkness’ speech reflected John 1:5, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”.

Corinthians 5:8, “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord”.

Philippians 1:21, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain”.

Romans 14:8, “If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord”.

Charlie was not a perfect man. Only Jesus was perfect and without sin.

Charlie was an example of what it meant to live life to the fullest, in all aspects of faith, family and politics. – RTM

Trumps War on Illegal Migration

The media and the Democratic Party are up in arms (figuratively and literally) about the nationwide crackdown by I.C.E. locating and identifying foreign workers with improper or nonexistent visas and those who have purposefully overstayed their visas which is cause for the U.S. State Department to have them fined, imprisoned or removed from the United States.

“Blue” cities and states are fuming and seeing this legal action enforcing immigration laws as an “attack on their cities and states” when it is actually an enforcement effort to protect US Citizens, foreign workers and visitors from the crime and violence perpetuated by violent criminal gangs and individuals who attack, rape or murder with impunity in those “blue” communities where law enforcement officers are handcuffed by elected officials and prevented from doing their duty to protect and serve the communities in which they live. This administration is putting real teeth into the “War on Crime” mouthed by previous administrations.

The Trump Administration has repeatedly (from day one) declared that illegal is illegal and those who break the laws of the United States in order to get here will be removed by deportation or self-deportation beginning with the worst of the worst.

The unprecedented action taken in the District of Columbia has shown that all it takes to fight crime and protect the citizens and residents of a city is to turn loose the officers of the law and change the attitude within local and federal courts where appropriate punishment for crime is a deterrent.

However it isn’t only “blue” cities and states, but also “blue” cities within “red” states where crime is met with silence by law enforcement due to failed political agendas.

Crime is worse in areas where gun laws prevent law abiding citizens from carrying openly weapons for self-defense. When bad guys with guns are met with good guys with guns that can be the deterrent.

Think of it this way, you or your family member are being assaulted or attacked, who are you going to call? – RTM
