Air Travel Back in 2009

Air Travel Back in 2009

I was reading the misadventures of a friend traveling by air and it brought to mind one incident while my wife and I were traveling with our eldest grandchild from Colorado Springs to Bangkok on our airline of choice United Airlines. At that time we had to fly to California, then to Japan and onward to Bangkok. It was a pretty routine itinerary and we left Colorado Springs mid-afternoon headed to Los Angeles.

We had been airborne for several hours when an announcement about an airplane crash in Tokyo, Japan had cancelled all inbound flights and passengers connecting should check with a customer service representative upon landing in Los Angeles. A lot was going through my mind as I tried to reason a solution to what appeared a major dilemma.

After landing I noticed all the flights to Tokyo had been cancelled so I searched for a United Airlines customer service person to help us. Seeing no one I approached a United Airlines employee and was directed to a door at the end of the hall (we were on the upper deck). Gathering up my wife and grandson we headed to that door and after the door closed behind us found ourselves on a metal stairwell with only one way – down to ground level – OUTSIDE THE AIRPORT BUILDING.

By now my stress level was extremely high as we had to go back through the long line at the airline check in counter. All the flight schedule monitors were flashing cancelled for all Tokyo flights.

Eventually we were at the counter and I explained that we’d just landed and needed to get to Bangkok, Thailand. The United Airlines lady did a lot of checking, talking with a supervisor and finally she issued 3 boarding passes for a standby flight to San Francisco. She said when we landed I should go to a specific gate and present the boarding passes to try and get on the flight to Tokyo. It seems that United Airlines flights to Tokyo used a different runway and none of those flights had been affected by a Federal Express cargo jet that had crashed on the other runway.

First we had to get in the long line at TSA and then rush upstairs so I could present our standby boarding passes at the gate and hope to get on the flight. We made it to the gate as they were announcing the final category of boarding to San Francisco. I was the first to present standby boarding passes when they announced standby passengers come forward. They added us to the manifest and we headed to the plane.

The flight to San Francisco seemed to be longer than the flight from Colorado to Los Angeles. Finally we landed and we hurried to the designated gate. As my wife ushered our 13 year old grandson, I bolted down the ramp to the departure counter. The plane had almost finished boarding and I pleaded with the agent, explaining we needed to make our connection flight to Bangkok as we had family waiting at the airport for our arrival. Success – we made our way to our seats as they closed the door behind us.

It was a long flight to Tokyo and our grandson had a Gameboy and extra batteries to hopefully last the flight. As this was his first time flying it made for an interesting trip. We landed in Tokyo and went through their version of TSA, headed over to the departure gate to check in and then wait for the call for boarding.

As no American carriers were flying into Bangkok, our flight was a code share on All Nippon Airways (ANA) and the aircraft was a brand new plane. It even smelled new and had built in video game consuls and movies that made the final 6 hours a bit more bearable. One feature I didn’t realize was the forward facing camera in the nose of the plane where you could watch the landing. I always thought – what if – we came nose to nose with another airplane taking off? Maybe the camera wasn’t such a nicety after all?

The return trip 30 days later went rather smoothly and as we returned through customs and immigration they wanted to see the permission letter from his mom saying we could take him out of the country. It’s a good thing I had it with our passports and they then stamped his passport.

While sitting at the airport in Los Angeles waiting for our flight back to Colorado our grandson said to me that he would never again travel with us because we nagged too much. Nagging has its advantages.

I had to remind him of his promise a few months later when he asked when we were going again. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Moxie-Size

Moxie-Size

Do you remember watching a movie or sporting event with family or friends when something incredible happens and someone blurts out “That man’s got Moxie”?

Yeah me neither.

Well what does the term Moxie really mean anyhow?

I decided to look up the word Moxie and being from out west I’d never suspect it was a soft drink more than 100 years old produced in Massachusetts in the late 1800s.

Moxie is a brand of carbonated beverage that is among the first mass-produced soft drinks in the United States. It was created around 1876 by Augustin Thompson (born in Union, Maine) as a patent medicine called “Moxie Nerve Food” and was produced in Lowell, Massachusetts. Moxie’s flavor is unique, a sweet drink with a bitter aftertaste.

Moxie (free dictionary)

1. The ability to face difficulty with spirit and courage. 2. Aggressive energy; initiative: “His prose has moxie, though it rushes and stumbles from a pent-up surge” (Patricia Hampl).

I guess it sort of makes sense. I just can’t see watching a war picture with John Wayne and saying “he’s got moxie”! It would be like watching “The Longest Day” and when John Wayne’s character got killed, he cried something like “oye” only in a high pitched girly kind of scream in Thai.

Or watching Audie Murphy, a real WWII decorated hero and Hollywood action star holding off an enemy force from the top of a disabled tank, firing a 50-cal to stop a battalion size force and saying “he had to have some really big moxie”. He literally did that in real life, but I don’t think anyone said to his face about him having moxie.

You couldn’t say that a girl has moxie without being seen as sexist or something worse.

Too bad they stopped making movies like that anymore. I love it when it’s a clear battle between the good guys and the bad guys with the good guys always winning in the end, like the Sackett’s movie with Tom Sellack and a host of big name movie stars like Glen Ford and others. Most of the “others” were long time good guys, but in this movie they turned out to be the bad guys and died in the end. (In real life most of those old stars have been long gone).

Maybe we need a song, “The day that moxie died”.  – I am the Real Truckmaster!

A Brit’s Perspective of the Turmoil Festering in America

A Brit’s perspective of the turmoil festering in America

https://gatesofvienna.net/2020/11/coup-detat-in-america-a-limey-viewpoint/ Baron Bodissey

This was written by a self-identified “outsider”[Paul Weston]. His perspective is well worth the time it takes to read this.

OK, the first thing to say is to apologize for the sheer cheek of some upstart limey like me commenting on the election in America, but I have to say something because I am sitting here in shocked astonishment looking at what appears to be an engineered tyrannical coup d’état against not just President Trump but against the very ideal of democracy itself.

I’m not going to go into the details of the numerous unprecedented issues of corruption and fraud surrounding this election because those details are many and some are already in the public domain anyway. I am simply going to observe that this is a monumental moment not just in the history of America but in the history of the world, and a monumentally catastrophic moment in terms of freedom, democracy, morality decency and honesty. Those who understand what is actually happening don’t need the whole thing spelled out to them, but those who think nothing terribly untoward is happening other than that President Trump is behaving badly, should listen carefully. Very, very carefully.

The world outside the democratic West is a very brutal place. No left-leaning liberal would wish to live in Saudi Arabia, or Sierra Leone, or countless other such places. No left leaning liberal would wish to have lived in Europe during most of the decades of the 20th century which saw so much devastation and death courtesy of political totalitarians seeking nothing more than power and nothing other than power.

These corrupt, totalitarian systems were finally defeated because America fought on the right side of good v evil, of freedom versus tyranny and did so at great sacrifice in terms of the many young men who never made it home again, who died in foreign fields and foreign seas in order to preserve freedom and democracy.

Yet here we are, toward the end of 2020 looking at the very real possibility of the breakdown of democracy in America itself. What would have been unthinkable for so long, over so many generations of Americans, can no longer be considered unthinkable. If this gross subversion of democracy is not dealt with in a satisfactory manner by the lawyers then I see no reason, no reason at all why America should not descend into violence and potential civil war in the worst case scenario, or simply lose all confidence in any future elections as a best case scenario — which can only and inexorably lead to the worst case scenario again.

Young, left-wing Americans will consider such a viewpoint insane, but young left-wing Americans know little of the brutality of the non-democratic parts of the world and little about just why that brutality never encroached upon their decadent lives.

They know nothing about Nazism, fascism, socialism or Communism. Indeed, they believe President Trump and the people who admire and respect Trump are Nazis and fascists all, whilst they believe socialism and communism to be pure and good. This type of brainwashed ignorance is extraordinarily dangerous in a people of any country because no matter their ignorance and no matter how wrong they are, they truly believe they are standing up for what is good, for what is right and for what is moral. And because they feel that they, and they alone hold the moral high ground, then all who oppose them are not just wrong, they are evil and when it comes to evil and the defeat of evil, then the ends justify the means — just as so many people amongst so many previous generations have similarly believed which is why the history book of the world is a history book of war, horror and atrocity.

What we are looking at today in America is just another iteration of purported good versus purported evil where the end justifies the means. President Trump is evil and must be removed scream the Left, but lacking the democratic means to remove him, he must instead be removed by any means necessary because the end justifies the means. The foolish, spoiled, decadent, ignorant little children in adult bodies who are now, right now engineering the coup d’état to remove President Trump are playing with fire. In their hazy, fuddled, naïve, closed minded thinking they feel there will be no real world consequences resulting from their action, but their naïveté is dangerously unlike the pragmatism of revolutionaries in the brutal and undemocratic parts of the world who know full well that if they fail in their coup they will be killed and if they win they will do the killing.

Destroying the democratic foundations of America will certainly have real world consequences. When Donald Trump won the Presidency in 2016 the far-left cried Russian collusion and displayed their visceral hatred across the entire left-wing spectrum, but their anger wasn’t based on the undermining of democracy; their anger was merely that of the petulant, spoiled child denied a shiny bauble. Their anger was lukewarm, false, unjustifiable. Their anger was mere political posturing and they now think the anger of Trump supporters is the same — mere political posturing.

But how wrong they are. How dangerously wrong they are. The anger of Trump’s supporters is white hot, it is incendiary, it is real and it is entirely, eminently justifiable, and it is not the anger of the loser, it is the anger of the wronged and is about so much more than Trump, this is about the democratic future of the United States of America. When a country reaches the point of such legal corruption and such moral degeneracy that democracy can be overturned in full view of a complicit and unquestioning media and liberal establishment there is very little guarantee that democracy will ever recover. This is why the anger is at boiling point, and even now, the left cannot understand what they have done.

Before we settled into peaceful, democratic nations, power was decided by Kings, swords, and armies. Power rested with bloody battle and bloody victory. Democratic politics replaced battle and war in the West, but it has always been understood that democratic politics is war by other means and that if democracy is removed from politics then we can only go back to bloody battle and bloody war.

The trouble with the left-wing, especially the young and cossetted who have never experienced the horrors of war, is that they don’t understand this simple premise. They don’t understand the importance of democracy and thus they cannot appreciate the volcanic anger amongst those who would peacefully yet unhappily accept a fair political defeat, but who will never accept defeat if it comes from the grinding jackboot of a subverted democracy.

When one local gang squares off with another gang, the violence is quickly over. But when one half of a country squares off with the other, the violence is slow and sporadic in the beginning and just as in 1990s Yugoslavia the levels of violence and tit-for-tat reprisals build and build until finally a genuine civil war breaks out in all its primeval savagery and mass slaughter.

I don’t need to spell out the numbers of Americans with guns, but I do need, apparently, to point out that the anger of millions of armed Americans is being stoked to stratospherically dangerous levels and that these angry people are justifiably enraged. Many of you watching this video will hear my words resonate with your thoughts, and many supporters of the 2nd Amendment will right now be saying that the main, overriding reason for the 2nd Amendment is not to shoot deer but to defend America against a tyrannical government. Perhaps now is a good moment to say that in times of war our dead soldiers are always politely remembered for having died in the defense of democracy, but the dying part was never their intention. Their intention was to very impolitely kill the aggressors who wanted to impose a tyranny upon them and here we are today, in late 2020, looking at a scenario which consists of a tyrannical coup d’état in the face of a hundred million armed and angry Americans who are convinced their democratic rights have been trampled upon and subverted.

I hope and pray this will be resolved by the legal process, but I implore the Democrats, the left-wingers, the socialists and the communists to stop pretending what you have done is acceptable. It is not, and the consequences could be catastrophic both for you, for America and for the world. You are amongst the luckiest people ever to have existed on this planet. You represent a fleeting moment in time when you can live as no people before you have ever lived. Yet still you are unhappy. Cut off and cosseted from a world of brutality, poverty and misery you exist at the furthest extremity of decadence where your immense good fortune goes unrecognized and is instead replaced with a misplaced sense of bitterness, envy and hatred. You live in a wonderful country at a time of never before seen peace and prosperity, of freedom and democracy, yet you are now engaged in an action that could bring about the horrors of 20th century Europe. I am, as I say, an upstart limey, but this upstart limey is filled with a sense of foreboding and I beg you to stop what you are doing before the unthinkable becomes a physical reality. If you overturn democracy then America will become just another part of the brutal undemocratic world and if that happens nothing will ever, ever be the same again. END

Locking Down Is Not The Answer

Locking Down Is Not The Answer

Where is one place you think might be the safest place in America when it comes to COVID-19? No it’s not a trick question, but where are people routinely kept in isolation, solitary confinement or housed in individual cells? If you said jail or prison or confinement facility you’d be right. But would you be safe from the virus? The answer to that is a resounding NO! Recent reports tell of COVID-19 outbreaks in both County and State facilities here in El Paso County and in Colorado. So how does a virus get into a prison system where they are not allowed outside their cells, common areas or the prison walls? Is it carelessness or neglect that someone from local communities unknowingly carries the virus into the population? If it can happen within a prison system what makes politicians think that ordinary citizens should be locked down like prisoners?

I’ll get right to the point. Locking down a city, county or state and even a nation because of the virus is ludicrous. What about locking down for the flu? Maybe we should lock down because of the common cold? What do we do for anything that attacks our immune system or affects our sense of well-being? We take a pill or a tablet and when it’s time for a vaccine we go to our family doctor or local pharmacy to get our shot. If we have the sniffles we use a tissue. If we are going out in public we take precautions to stay away from others as much as humanly possible. In today’s environment we put on a mask to keep from sneezing or coughing on someone else if we are sick.

Wearing a mask 24/7 or a pair of plastic gloves all day does nothing to prevent the spread, in fact it might even hasten the spread of germs be not taking them off. That’s why doctors and nurses in a hospital setting change their gowns, gloves and booties when they enter or exit a patient’s room where a contamination exists. How many times do you go to the store or business and see throw away masks lying around on the sidewalk, parking lot or blowing in the wind. When they are contaminated they hasten the spread of whatever germs or virus they came in contact with.

Don’t you think that if God intended us to wear face coverings we’d have been born with them? Well what we were born with was a BRAIN and he intended for us to exercise those particles that make up the brain by the use of common sense. I learned a long time ago in the military that when you give someone power, it goes to their head and they will abuse it. Put someone into an elected political office and sooner than later they will begin to think that the world revolves around them. We see all too often politicians saying publicly “do as I say, not as I do” when they fly or travel on vacation as they tell everyone else to stay home and “we’re all in this together at home alone”.

Self-Isolation Sucks – Forced Isolation Sucks Even More!

There is a fine line between safety necessities and power over people as a means of control and no it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure that out. Drop the masks, self-isolation and social distancing and get back to life as we knew it before COVID-19. (It’s a little known fact that Coronavirus’ have been around for centuries and veterinarians have been administering immunizations to animals for a very long time without the need for face coverings or social distancing – 6 feet between pets).

What I suggest is that we use common sense and take care of ourselves so that we can help take care of others. It does not good for a sick doctor to treat sick patients. Nor does it do any good for a mechanic with a broke down car to work on someone else’s car first. There is a safety rule when flying that in the event of an emergency and the oxygen masks drop down that you put your mask on first BEFORE you help your children or others. So when you see me not wearing a mask or face covering it’s because I’m either not in surgery, not sick or just not feeling like it. It’s my right under the Constitution and my personal convictions to live freely as God intended. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

If God Called Your Name How Would You Answer?

12-2-2020

If God Called Your Name How Would You Answer

We’re in this busy thing called life and for most of us it comes at us fast and with a fury like we’ve never seen before. We have a job that is demanding, a family that depend on us and friends who are there when things get a bit rough, but what if God called your name? Would you answer or would you even hear him? Jesus said that his sheep recognize him and hear his voice. So are we his sheep?

Many times we might be running a string of really good luck and things are just falling into place. We got that promotion at work and now we can afford to trade in that old clunker for something dependable and well a bit more stylish.

The family has grown since we moved into that little cottage and we could really use a bigger place. Maybe a 4 bedroom, 2 ½ bath with a 2 car garage so why not get a place with a pool too? The kids really do need a school nearby so they can walk to school and back so mama doesn’t have to worry.

And with the extra money coming in maybe we can give a bit more to the church because as the pastor says God loves a cheerful giver. The kids like Sunday school and maybe we can give some of our time on Sunday mornings too.

Yes life has been good, we’ve gotten new clothes for everyone and we just need a few more years like this one and we’ll be on top of our finances.

I think we should celebrate and take the family out for some Chinese food.

What if at this very moment God called your name? Would you answer or would you even hear him? Maybe he’d speak to you from that fortune cookie “I will make you a fisher of men” or the one that said “You will be my instrument to stop evil”. How would you respond?

Remember in the book of 1 Samuel 3: 5-10 when the boy Samuel was ministering to Eli and in verse 4 “that the LORD called Samuel; and he said, “Here I am!” This happened 3 times but each time Samuel thought that Eli had called him and in verse 9 “And Eli said to Samuel, “Go lie down, and it shall be if He calls you, that you shall say, ‘Speak, LORD, for Your servant is listening.” In verse 10 “Then the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for Your servant is listening.” Then the LORD proceeded to tell Samuel that he was going to do something in Israel that would make everyone’s ears tingle.

Throughout recorded time God has spoken to and through his creation telling of the wondrous and sometimes fearful things we was about to do, primarily to bring about a behavioral change in his people. Often times the change did not occur immediately but could take years or not happen at all, in which case God would take a different approach.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 “and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

God is Sovereign and does as HE pleases. When we humble ourselves before God and pray we know that God hears us and that he will answer, because he said he would. We must pray according to the Word of God because that is how he answers – according to his word.

God is not a man that he should lie and in fact God is truth and therefore cannot lie. The heart of man is sinful and deceit comes from his heart and out of his mouth. We lie better than a rug. Can God use someone who knows of but doesn’t really know God? God can and does use any part of his creation to do his will. God will not force his will on anyone.

God requires a willing heart and an obedient soul. To do great things for God you must commit yourself to his purpose and his will for your life. Does that make you a better person? Most certainly not! Obedience humbles you before God. It allows you to be willing and it gives you strength from God to accomplish the task, provided you don’t give up. What if people criticize or make fun of you? Should it really matter? No!

When God calls you he will equip you and go before you clearing the way so that his purpose will be done. When mountains appear or obstacles block your path God himself will walk beside you through it all. He will be your God through the valleys, over the mountains and across the waters.

We have many biblical examples of men and women, boys and girls who answered when God called their names. Each was equipped by God for a specific task or purpose. Had any one refused to answer the call God would have found a different way to deal with them. Remember Jonah chapter 1 where Jonah was swallowed by a great fish (a Whale) because he did not want to go when or where God called him?

As I have said, God uses his creation to accomplish his purpose. We have a modern day example of a man who religiously went to church when he could, yet lived like the devil as the fruits of his labor have shown. The man had fame, fortune and all the toys a man could want. He was both a failure and a success by worldly standards he had the Midas touch (referring to King Midas) and what he touched turned to gold.

God had many years earlier placed a longing into his heart that was ever present and would not go away. One day this man felt that longing even stronger and sought ministerial advice asking for prayer, guidance and wisdom on how to proceed.

That man was Donald J. Trump and that longing was to run for President of the United States. After assembling prayer warriors for prayer and supplication before God it was confirmed in his spirit and he committed himself to run in 2015. During the campaign it was revealed and prophesied to him before an assembly of Godly men that God had chosen him to be the 45th President of the United States and that he would be an Isaiah 45 president. He had been chosen to stop evil and become the sword to the spirit of political correctness that had taken over our nation. On January 20, 2017 Donald J. Trump was sworn into office as the 45th President of the United States.

As I write this we are on the eve of the 2020 election cycle running its course and I will not go into detail about the past 4 years or what the future holds, but I ask – “was America worth it”? If he had known then what he knows now would he have answered the call of God?

What I know in my spirit is that God is in complete control and has promised to stand beside this man, this President during this time and on this day – God will never turn away. The best place to be is in the perfect will of God! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

The Bill of Rights to Live or Die for

11-28-2020

The Bill of Rights to Live or Die for

To serve in the United States military you take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic and will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.

Oath of Enlistment

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.” (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962)

We understand that there is no expiration date on that oath. It matters not who holds the presidential office or what officers are appointed over us because our obedience to the oath is fully governed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). What we are really doing is protecting the rights of every citizen with our very lives and it is those rights inscribed in our Constitution that draw people from every ethnic tribe and nation to the home of the brave and the land of the free.

“Freedom isn’t free” is not just a cliché. You truly don’t know what real freedom is until it’s taken away from you. Freedom is paid by the blood, sweat and tears of men and women who’ve served and died to insure that Freedom lives.  Our founding fathers proclaimed that everyone has been given certain unalienable rights from our Creator. They also knew that the biggest threat to those rights comes in the form of an uncaring and abusive government.

It’s time to pull up your “big boy” or “big girl” pants and tell me which of these rights are you willing to live or die for? Do you not care because you haven’t invested yourself into this nation and they really don’t affect you?

The Bill of Rights

The First Amendment provides that Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. It protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The Second Amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms.

The Third Amendment prohibits the government from quartering troops in private homes, a major grievance during the American Revolution.

The Fourth Amendment protects citizens from unreasonable search and seizure. The government may not conduct any searches without a warrant, and such warrants must be issued by a judge and based on probable cause.

The Fifth Amendment provides that citizens not be subject to criminal prosecution and punishment without due process. Citizens may not be tried on the same set of facts twice, and are protected from self-incrimination (the right to remain silent). The amendment also establishes the power of eminent domain, ensuring that private property is not seized for public use without just compensation.

The Sixth Amendment assures the right to a speedy trial by a jury of one’s peers, to be informed of the crimes with which they are charged, and to confront the witnesses brought by the government. The amendment also provides the accused the right to compel testimony from witnesses, and to legal representation.

The Seventh Amendment provides that civil cases also be tried by jury.

The Eighth Amendment prohibits excessive bail, excessive fines, and cruel and unusual punishments.

The Ninth Amendment states that the list of rights enumerated in the Constitution is not exhaustive, and that the people retain all rights not enumerated.

The Tenth Amendment assigns all powers not delegated to the United States, or prohibited to the states, to either the states or to the people.

Our legacy is written in our nation’s history, the good, the bad and the ugly. We have wages war and conquered those who have stood in our way. We have reached out to defend our allies while striking aggressive enemies. We stand firm when others kneel in surrender. There are more than rights than these first ten amendments, but the right to vote has not always existed for many of our citizens until recent history.

If you are eligible but choose not to vote you forfeit your “right” to complain. When you knowingly turn a blind eye to voter and/or election fraud you become complicit and you jeopardize the rights of others by your action or by your failure to act – America deserves free and fair elections.

You don’t know what you have until it’s gone, so tell me which of your rights are you willing to give up? – I am the Real Truckmaster!

About My Real Truckmaster Blogs

Whether you have been following my RTM blog posts on Facebook, Twitter, Parler, TrumpChat, Nebu2, MeWe or WordPress you may have noticed that I cover a number of topic that are educational, informative, political or pure speculation on my part. I don’t know all the questions and I sure don’t have any pat answers, but I do have a desire to find the truth. As you read my blogs that too should be your goal. What can you glean from my articles that will help you better understand the subject matter.

Maybe you should know what makes me tick. I am a retired army sergeant who believes in giving it to you straight from the heart. I expect honesty. When given a task – do it as if your life depends on it. I come from a family of four boys. I grew up believing that brothers stand together. If you come after one you will encounter a wall.

So much of what you see and read on the internet is coordinated political spin or hype designed to divide and destroy. It’s been said that if you tell a lie enough times it becomes indistinguishable from the truth. If you repeat it long enough you actually begin to believe it. In order not to fall into that trap it is essential that you do your research.

How do you identify what it true or false? Our president once said that in life you can’t always choose your friends. However it is critically essential that you know who your enemies are. Someone else said that not everyone who calls you friend is truly a friend. Often times when the chips are down your so-called friends are nowhere to be found.

I find that is especially true even when blogging. I look for a topic that maybe unknown or fairly new and see what I can find out about it. Some topics are extremely controversial and most people don’t want to stand on the side of controversy. They would rather throw proverbial stones. Other topics seem so ridiculous or unbelievable yet people home in on them as pure gospel, but when faced with the truth they won’t acknowledge it because it’s not their truth. As anyone knows facts can change, yet the truth stands firm.

When I write I want your mind to begin searching out the truth and you cannot simply rely on traditional sources for information. You must think outside the box. On 5/2/2011 Navy Seals entered a secret compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan and killed Osama Bin Laden as President Obama and his staff watched the raid in real time on live feed.

Yet the events of 9/11/2012 at the Annex in Benghazi, Libya under attack by hostile forces had nobody in the White House or Department of State watching as it unfolded. Even though a drone flew overhead recording the attack, my military mind kept saying where’s the cavalry? We are trained to leave nobody behind. After the attack had ended 13 hours later few were left standing and asking still – where’s the cavalry? Why didn’t they come? This story when release by the White House and the media didn’t pass the smell test of what was going on at the time. Even today it demands closer scrutiny.

More closer to home is the 2016 election of President Trump and his subsequent treatment by Congress, the media and the American public over the past 4 years. We have been fed a line of crap about how terrible he is as President. Trump has been demonized by the radical liberal left who spoon feed the media so they can dish it out to the public. When the truth is told, Trump has done what he said he would do during the campaign.

During the 2020 election voters turned out in droves at Trump rallies, while the Biden campaign largely hid in the basement. During Biden rallies, even those held by the Obamas minimal crowds turned out to hear them speak. The night of Election Day on November 3rd, massive voter turnout had President Trump projected with 410 Electoral College votes, while Joe Biden was projected with 128 Electoral College votes, but come sunrise something huge had occurred during the early morning hours of November 4th and the EC projections had switched by a sudden case of electronic ballot stuffing. As a contested election litigations are happening in swing states across the nation. In fact it may come to the SCOTUS and a recounting of ballots in all states before the December 12th Electoral College votes. In any case this too must undergo closer scrutiny.

These stories and more have been weaponized on the American people in order to affect a change or outcome that is favorable to one particular candidate while victimizing another. We are expected to believe that under the Trump presidency things have gotten increasingly worse, while economic indicators say otherwise. We are also expected to thing that under a Biden presidency things will change for the better, when all indicators from the candidate himself say otherwise.

America we have been deceived to believe that a professional lifetime politician with almost 50 years in politics in the US Senate and as a 2-term Vice President who could not solve the problems facing our nation can suddenly fix it all as President. I’m sorry America but I don’t believe it.

That is why the RTM blogs began, to shed light on what is happening to America and to cause people like you and me to dig deeper, try harder and fight stronger to keep the freedoms enshrined in the Constitution of the United States. America deserves better. You deserve better! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Gettysburg

11-26-2020

Gettysburg

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where the turning point of the Civil War occurred from July 1 – 3, 1863 is once again at the forefront of American history.

Fraudulent events pertaining to the 2020 Presidential Election have landed squarely in front of the Pennsylvania state congress as the Trump Campaign legal defense team lead by former Mayor Rudy Giuliani have presented overwhelming evidence of both voter and election fraud interference. Depositions, video statements and an audio phone call from President Trump have stopped the certification of ballots and will lead to a genuine recount of actual legal ballots cast and the Pennsylvania legislature deciding the fate of Pennsylvania Electoral College elector votes.

Similar action is taking place in other battleground states (Georgia, Nevada, Wisconsin, and elsewhere) when overwhelming evidence is being presented that exposes electoral misconduct and could very well could lead to individual criminal charges of election interference, illegal and fraudulent voting practices in an attempt to overturn US federal elections. What many do not realize is that this is a normal litigation process when either candidate contests the results of the popular vote.

So much had been said of alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election that caused Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton to win the popular vote, but lose the Electoral College votes, and now we have allegations of a Canadian company (Dominion Voting Systems) with both software and electronic voting machines selectively placed in battleground states to insure the outcome for Democratic candidates by what amounts to electronic ballot stuffing and specific software coding.

American’s deserve a fair and balanced and secure voting process where governmental leadership is chosen because every legal vote counts. Taking this battle all the way to the Supreme Court should lead to major election reforms to prevent future elections from being stolen in the dead of night.

Keep your eyes on the prize – the very soul of America. Freedom is never free, but fought for by men and women like you and like me. May God Bless America! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

My Response to Ilhan Omar

11-24-2020

My Response to Ilhan Omar

So Congresswoman Ilhan Omar says what she feels is important is that a single F-35 costs $100M and for that money we can feed 40M kids.

I’d like to weigh in on that if I may. If you take the funds used to build a single warfighter and use it to feed 40M kids who will benefit more? Will it be just the 40M kids or the overhead of administrators needed to hand out that money for food? Maybe it’s the cooks, administrative staff or anyone else who finds a way to insert them into the food chain? So for how many meals will be consumed by those 40M kids? Where exactly are those 40M kids? Unless they are in the same vicinity, under the same program using the same staffing and supervisors there must be programs duplicated every place those 40M kids live. How exactly would you make it happen? You see you will always have hungry mouths to feed, 40M kids after 40M kids standing in line for handouts and what exactly have you gained?

Take that one F-35 warfighter aircraft and you have factories filled with workers each with their own families they are feeding. You have repair parts which must be manufactured and those workers have their own families to feed. Then you have distribution centers, transportation hubs and a whole list of others involved to insure that that one F-35 is manufactured, maintained, repaired and kept flying to insure the safety and security of literally millions of people around the world. Now times that by the number of warfighters in the US arsenal and you will have a force for peace to see that more than 40M kids are able to feed themselves without waiting for any government handout.

Yes we can see what you believe is important, but it’s not about 40M kids, it’s about handing out food rather than teaching those 40M kids to use those hands to learn usable skills that will enable them to feed not only themselves but their families for generations to come. Is it better to give someone a fish so they may fill their belly one time or teach them to fish so they can feed themselves and others for a lifetime? Sorry Congresswoman I simply don’t believe you. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

My Autobiographical Story

11-24-2020

My Autobiographical Story

I fancy myself a good storyteller. I can relay the storyline like nobody else and deliver the punchline in classic Wilson style. But when it comes to telling my story I have trouble starting. It’s been said that one need only begin with “once upon a time” but that only works for nursery rhymes or fairytales. But who’s going to believe that once upon a time I was born? I have even tried one dark and stormy night……but I really don’t know what kind of night it was? After all I was just a baby. Several times I’ve sat down determined to get my story down on digital paper but then I don’t seem to have any. The one thing I know for sure was that I was born in a hospital. It wasn’t a big hospital and neither was the small Idaho town of Nampa back in ‘49. A hundred years earlier and it might have been a gold miner’s town, but then when was the last time gold was discovered in Idaho? When I was born I wasn’t even older than my brothers because back then I didn’t have any. I guess being the first born has its perks.

As time went by or as water flowed under the bridge I did have some brothers. Three of em and we were all little angels. People were struck by the sheer beauty of us J-angels. What you never heard of a J-angel? In total we were four boys and our names began with the letter “J”, thus J-angels. Now mom (rest her soul) never agreed with me on the “fact” we were angels either. I told her once it was my story and I’m sticking to it.

When I was born we lived on a farm just outside of Homedale Idaho with Grandma and Grandpa Wilson and my little uncle Gary. Then at some point we moved into the cute little house on the ditch bank in town. Our little house had been a chicken coup that dad fixed up into a 2 room house. One room contained 4 bunkbeds (2 up and 2 down) and the other was the kitchen, family room and the folk’s bedroom all rolled into one. It was so small we probably had to take turns sneezing. I did have one of those mini-bikes that I’m sure was the envy of my 1st grade classmates as I rode across town on my way to school. Hunched down on that bike I must have been less than 36” high and lucky for me traffic was light back then.

A bit later we moved out to Wilder. I don’t remember much except working in the fields with the migrant labor crews picking anything that grew and needed picking, potatoes, strawberries, etc. Our treat was a Saturday movie and a large chocolate-dipped cone at the Frosty Palace in Homedale.

I think when we moved to Nyssa in Oregon I was in the marching band as one of the drummers until I followed the other drummers in boycotting the music teacher. When all was settled down, I was the only ex-drummer of the group.

There was a time when dad stepped in a post hole and was rushed to the VA hospital in Boise for surgery and rehabilitation. Mom ended up trading our farm for a house in Northwest Boise so we could be close to dad.  We pretty much stayed in Boise after that and I went into junior high. Oh I’d tell you about my brothers, but then they wouldn’t get to tell their own stories, okay?

Jess was 2 years younger than me. John was a year younger than Jess. Jerry was a year younger than John. Now you have the J-angels. We all got along great – so long as they obeyed my orders (demands). Any disagreements that sprung up were squelched in pure Wilson fashion – a dogpile in the middle of the road where I’d be initially on top.

I was going to South Junior High when President Kennedy was shot. It was a shock but then I didn’t know much about politics back then and I really didn’t know JFK personally or professionally.

By the time I got to Borah High School I would have been considered the kid who didn’t have a clue – about anything. I joined the Civil Air Patrol where I learned military customs, traditions and discipline and got to wear a blue Air Force Ike Jacket and a nifty uniform. I became part of our CAP exhibition drill team (we didn’t have anybody to compete against).

In the summer after my junior year we moved out into the desert at a place called Landeco, just outside of Kuna. I made up my mind I wasn’t going to go back to school and my dad figured keeping me in the field running a caterpillar pulling a rake or a disc would help get me ready to go back to school. A few days after school started I got this idea that school was right up my alley and besides I would be in the senior class with my uncle Gary (they had moved to Kuna many years before). And since I was going into my senior year dad gave me a car as a graduation present. I think it was a long and black 1960 Cadillac sedan, you know like those used at family cars at a funeral home. Man I didn’t understand why I never had anybody asking to ride in my car after the ball games. I earned my letter in sports by having some of the cleanest smelling towels ever. I graduated as a Kuna Kaveman with my huge “K” on my letterman’s jacket.

After graduation I moved into an apartment in Boise and worked a couple of part time jobs before going to work at an auto parts store as a delivery driver. I had traded the old caddy for a ’58 Pontiac Chieftan which I prided myself on doing my own repairs.

In 1967 about six months later I joined the army to become a truck driver and my first assignment after truck driver training was to a transportation unit in Southeast Asia. I arrived in Thailand near the end of February 1968 and began hauling military cargo and munitions to air force bases where units went on combat missions over Laos and Vietnam.  I ended up staying in Thailand for 2 ½ years, meeting and marrying my wife of now 51 years and we have 2 daughters (each are now grandmothers).

I ended up making a career out of the military taking my family to places like Panama and Germany, and to various bases in the states. My last tour before retirement was to Japan and as I came home Operation Desert Shield had begun gearing up in 1990.

The good Lord has really blessed me with years and ears and a little bit of hair on top and a lot has changed since those early years. I’m fully retired working as a keyboard ranger, building webpages and groups for veterans. Just being a good hubby to my wife, a tolerable dad to my girls and grandpa to my grandkids (all adults) and Papa Joe to the great-grands. Our families are here in Colorado, while my brothers and their families are centered in Idaho and beyond. Mom and dad are now gone and so is brother John and most of my aunts and uncles most lived to enjoy their golden years. I’m now in my 70s and looking forward to another 20 or 30 years of wedded bliss and being around to make sure my offspring toe the line……..or else! This is the end of the story, but not the end to me, okay? – I’m the Real Truckmaster!
