Allegiance is to the Constitution
Since Trump stepped out of the White House and onto Marine One for the ride to Andrews the Biden Administration began vetting National Guard troops being stationed around the Capitol Building to protect “Congress” and any that were found to be conservative Trump supporters were sent home.
Now that the new Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III (retired Army general) has ordered a 60 day stand down of every branch, every command, and every unit using the ploy “to discuss Extremism in the military as a means to ask very personal and private beliefs as to whether a soldier’s allegiance is to President Biden or former President Trump – I say that is a very unconstitutional move. In case Secretary Austin has any question I refer him back to the Oath of Office taken by every enlisted soldier wearing the uniform of the United States military.
Enlisted Oath: I, ___, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the president of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
Maybe military officers take a different oath? Their rise and fall from power is often a purely political one.
Secretary Austin says its leadership, everyone’s leadership and I say it is YOUR leadership sir that must set the standard, not lower it because of politics. The purge of DOD advisory committee members appointed by Trump is just one example of bad political judgment. There is no room in the military for political division. The mission depends on it! – I am the Real Truckmaster!
