Knowing Your Authority

Those in authority do not have to rationalize or debate it. They carry themselves knowing full well what they can or cannot do and by whom that authority was given. On the other hand those without authority often try to act as if they have been given it, but lack the power to exercise it.

That’s why I don’t understand about our legislators who have been given the power to create laws and their authority has been given in the Constitution, which they have all pledged to protect and defend. Maybe what is missing is the part that’s included in marriage vows, the “until death do us part” part.

Maybe there should be a “Candidate Contract Clause” which would go something like this:

“I [political candidate] do hereby swear or affirm that I will support, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic and that I will support the President of the United States from this day forward. If elected, to [political office] I will conduct myself in a worthy manner that reflects great credit upon myself, my country will strive to be worthy of your votes. So help me God!”

Just to put things into perspective when Jesus walked on the earth carrying out his ministry he knew his authority came from God the Father. Jesus knew it had been given to him and that he could at any time exercise that authority and even the Angels in Heaven, the winds and the waves on earth, as well as the devil himself would obey. Jesus also knew that he was on earth for a specific purpose and that the will of God the Father was more important than his own will.

Luke 19:10 – “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

People do not have a clue the authority that has been given to Donald J. Trump or by whom was the authority given. They do not have a clue. This revelation came from God and was clear ‘Donald Trump is a wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness.’ He was chosen because he had the personality and temperament to get the job done.

America has been under the spell of political correctness for quite some time and we’ve gotten used to it. We don’t use derogatory names, foul language, racial slurs or sexual overtones. It has gone so far that when someone choses to be offended by something it has to be remove. If offended by someone they must be fired. If someone drives a Ford, all the Chevy guys think they are better or vice versa.

As someone who has had authority thrust upon me, I can tell you that I exercised my authority and did not apologize for doing so. If I was in a leadership position in the military, I led. If I was in a position of responsibility I assumed the responsibility for my actions and expected others to do the same. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
