Washington Talk with George Carlin
I watched a You Tube video where George Carlin was explaining how politicians talk and thus how they think (or failure to). According to him politicians in Washington must speak with “great caution” so that they “don’t actually say anything”.
Here are some examples that I thought it might be fun to refer to when listening to your favorite politician on the radio, over the internet or on television:

- Don’t say = Indicate
- Don’t tell = Advise

- Initiative = Idea that isn’t going anywhere

- Patriotism
- Peacetime Military = Young men and women stationed halfway around the world

- Term Limits = Terms used by politicians
- The American people are a lot smarter than they are given credit for

- Wartime Military = In places the average American can’t find on a map
- Wartime Military = In places they can’t pronounce
- You are implicated
Many will see the humor in these sayings, while for the younger generation it will pass right over their heads.
Let me add a few here that are current political speak
- Abortion = Woman’s right to choose the murder of her unborn baby
- Black Lives Matter = Not to blacks they don’t
- Blue Lives Matter = Racist term showing support for law enforcement
- Border Patrol = Racist Trump agency that stops undocumented immigrants from crossing over to U.S.
- Communism = The government does everything for you
- Constitution = Outdated and old fashioned document with no relevance today
- Democrat = All Black voters must be
- Fake News = News outlets who distort or non-report the truth so as to sway public opinion
- Family Separation = Trump does to innocent children who accompany their parents across the border illegally
- Fascist = Must be Trump supporters
- Homophobic = Doesn’t agree with me
- C.E. = Illegal law enforcement stopping undocumented immigrants from staying in the U.S.
- Illegal Immigrants = Illegal Immigrants
- Nazi = Trump supporter who doesn’t agree with me
- Racist = Doesn’t agree with me
- Republican = All Trump supporters are
- Sensible Gun Control = take away citizen’s right to self-protection
- Snowflake = Democratic supporter who doesn’t agree with me
- Socialist = Bernie’s minions
- The Wall = Racist way to stop undocumented immigrants from crossing the border
- Undocumented Immigrants = Illegal Immigrants
- White Supremacist = Trump supporter who doesn’t agree with me
Some of the above terms and ideas seem comical by today’s standards, yet the bar has been lowered so that even today’s standards are unreachable by even the lowest achievers. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
