Parroting the Party Line

Parroting the Party Line

How many times have you heard someone say it doesn’t matter how dumb Biden is he’s still smarter than Trump? I’m being serious.  Biden has taken to task Trump’s slogan of Make America Great Again and replaced it with Build it Back Better.

But what must happen to build something back? That’s right first you have to tear it down.

How do you tear down a booming economy? Assault it with a pandemic scare, couple that with changing from a self-sustaining national product and forcing dependency upon national enemy states (China, Iran, and Russia).

The Obama legacy was nearly stopped dead in its tracks, or so it seemed as Trump began changing the course and direction toward America First. I can’t help but remember Carey communicating to foreign governments (in an unofficial capacity of course) that Trump wouldn’t be around that long, and then things could get back to “normal”. How could he possibly know that?

The fact that the dynamic-duo of Biden-Harris has once again highlighted what has been wrong in congress for quite a few years now – ineptitude to the max. Precisely why we need term limits for members of congress. We also need a law(s) or rule(s) that requires sitting members of congress who delve into campaigning for POTUS to immediately resign their seat in congress.

Another thing I recall is the construction on the White House grounds during the Obama administration that ended as it had abruptly began. And then shortly after leaving office there was what I call an “off site, alternate location or “White House” purchased and reinforced by Obama just a short 1-mile from the White House. What is that all about?

After seeing Biden wearing a wire during the debates where he was being fed information or coached during questioning. It’s not a stretch to consider an Obama team in the alternate location running the entire Biden show with Obama monitoring and controlling every step of the way. It’s not a conspiracy theory to assume its “The Manchurian Candidate 2.0” in action. In fact why no arrests, apprehensions or prosecutions of high powered law breakers, during the Trump – Biden presidencies for violating federal laws on immigration, espionage or treason? Why the cover up of election and voter fraud from 2015 – 2020? Saying it did not happen is no excuse!

In my humble opinion Trump’s love for America surely outweighs Biden’s love of political party and family enrichment. The nation is headed for a non-recoverable fall under Biden and not even the threat of another Trump presidency may save the nation from this terrible fate of unsustainable electric energy, illegal immigration or international diplomacy UNLESS Almighty God steps in with an undeniable “Act of God”. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Seeking God

Seeking God

During today’s discussion I had this thought about what it means to be a Christian? I mean anybody can claim to be a believer, but what do their actions say about their faith?

Take Saul of the bible, his zeal for persecuting and his commissioning to go after those he believed were heretics gave him great joy until one day he had an encounter with Jesus that changed his focus and his life forever. From that point on he went all out in the completely opposite direction defending the faith at all cost and wrote a great majority of the New Testament under extremely taxing conditions.

There are many more examples throughout the bible where God used ordinary men and women to do the impossible. God did many miracles with nobodies, people society had discarded or simply overlooked.

David was a runt, then stepped up and slew Goliath.

Moses had a speech problem and couldn’t keep his hands up, so God used Aaron to enable Moses to do what he chose him to do.

Noah, an old man in whom God found favor, built the ark as others scoffed at him; he then sailed away with his family as God gave mankind a mulligan.

Time and again God made dry bones to live again and made a donkey to speak and said even the rocks would cry out.

I’ve read of modern day men whom God used not because of their ability, but of their availability.

Jim Elliott, a “no compromise” missionary who flew to Central America to bring the gospel to a heathen tribe and who with his fellow missionaries were murdered along by the very people he came to reach. In the end many of those same tribesmen became believers.

David Wilkerson, the country preacher who went to Harlem to bring the gospel to a gang of hoodlums. When gang leader Nicky Cruz threatened to kill him and cut him up in little pieces, Wilkerson stood firm and said every piece would cry out that “Jesus Loves You”. And when shot at point blank range the bullet stopped and fell to the ground without touching Wilkerson. Nicky Cruz is now a believer who talks at churches of the power of the love of Jesus.

Keith Green, a talented pianist, writer and singer played in the bars up and down the California coastline, but when God got his heart, he too went all out for God with “no compromise” writing and singing as the heart of God dictated until a tragic airplane crash took his life and everyone on his small airplane.

Billy Graham an evangelist who spent his lifetime preaching the gospel while seeking the lost and bringing a multitude to the salvation knowledge of Christ.

These men all had one thing in common, their no-compromise commitment to the calling that God gave them.

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

I’m not one with all the answers to life’s problems, in fact I don’t even have any of the questions, but I believe that we spend way too much time seeking the hands of God when we should be seeking his face. A friend relayed a message he received from God that we should seek God’s face (not his hands). We are to seek his face while he may be found, then maybe just maybe we will see and feel the heart of God. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

On National Vietnam War Veterans Day

3-29-2022

On National Vietnam War Veterans Day

I was only six years old when the Second Indochina War began with conflict between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia on 11-1-1955. I was raised in the farmland of Southwestern Idaho and graduated high school with the Kuna class of 1967 before joining the army in September 1967 and fully expecting to join my fellow countrymen fighting in Vietnam.

I didn’t know that things wouldn’t work out the way I thought. While my training classmates received their individual orders heading to Southeast Asia, my orders were to a different part of Southeast Asia and I ended up in the Kingdom of Thailand after stopping at Tan Son Nhut AB in Vietnam during the TET 1968.

I spent 1968, 1969 and half of 1970 as an army truck driver hauling bullets, bombs, general supplies and at times refrigerated cargo to the Royal Thai Air Force Base units prosecuting the air war from Thailand. We also hauled supplies to the army units engaged in building infrastructure (roads, camps and bases) in support of the war effort in Thailand. I didn’t know it at the time but our role served a dual purpose, to support the war effort and to serve as an on the ground combat force should the conflict spill over into Thailand.

As American involvement of the war began to wind down Thailand based units began to stand down and prepare for deactivation and I became one of the troops leaving under the Early Release of Vietnam Returnees Program.

Having been insulated from the anti-war efforts going on stateside it came as a real shock when we were told not to wear military uniforms or carry military clothing when leaving the Oakland Army Terminal so as not to draw attention from the protestors.

Life back home seemed to carry on without me and I soon felt like a left wheel on a right hand bicycle. I missed army life, the camaraderie and the moves from base to base. Soon I joined the army again and found myself stationed at the Panama Canal Zone when Saigon fell on 4-30-1975.

Life after Southeast Asia was a double whammy because I couldn’t talk about my duty in Thailand as a number of my fellow soldiers who were boots-on-the-ground and/or Vietnam combat Veterans who consider my service worthy, primarily because they had no idea we what our mission had been while they were fighting “Charlie” anywhere in Vietnam. Civilian protestors and even other soldiers treated us differently.

I retired from the army after 22 years in 1990, but never hear “Welcome Home” until at a Veteran’s Day Parade in Colorado Springs sometime around 1998. My mission has been to educate myself, fellow Thailand Veterans of the Vietnam War and the general public about our service and how we came home with Agent Orange and our bodies began dying back in Southeast Asia (we just didn’t know it). – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

3-29-2022

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

The political climate in America is not affected by the social postings of armchair politicians who frequently tell us to “do as I say, just not as I do.” And it wouldn’t surprise me if Saul Alinsky had been a senior professor specializing in disruptive tactics at a covert and hidden CIA training facility or even a Society for Creative Radical and Extreme War University (SCREW U) for political reporters and correspondents (satire).

I base my premise on the fact that Alinsky believed and wrote books on how to disrupt government and the CIA is infamous in clandestine operations around the world doing the exact same thing and to the point that foreign leaders and governments have routinely failed. So why let the US Constitution block such efforts here at home? At this point both Alinsky tactics and CIA operational methods have become imbedded inside our own government as well as the news networks nationwide.

When the leader of the free world rescues US Citizens (teenagers) breaking the law during a foreign goodwill tour in China and correspondents take it upon themselves to demonize the rescuer, yet hardly raise an eyebrow when his predecessor abandons US Citizens (civilians) and their allies, military equipment, weapons of war and pallets of cash, handing the “keys to the kingdom” to the enemy bent on taking over the duly elected government in Afghanistan, I wonder where their individual and corporate loyalties lie?

When Trump as the leader of this nation promoted patriotism and national identity the backlash was overwhelming, but when his predecessor literally and figuratively destroys American lives and livelihood; businesses struggling to stay open; personal freedoms and liberties are curtailed by presidential mandates and we are told to suck it up or you are the problem, I wonder where did common sense go?

Every time an event involving foreign state actors happens we are told not to mention the location or nationality as it fuels racial hatred; yet we are being conditioned to hate and apologize for being white. And in American cities criminal conduct is being de-criminalized or not prosecuted because of what – racial identity – A recent announcement in a democrat community that criminals attempting to car-jack a police vehicle will not be prosecuted?

Our society has been brain-washed to the point that even in light of the obviously demented state of our nation’s president, even now there are those who believe he’s doing a wonderful job of keeping our nation – safe and prosperous, when the opposite is clear.

To them I say – look at their records from inauguration day until end of term or present. Gage the economy, the job market, national debt and overreaching government agencies.

Can you honestly say your life is better then or now? – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Agent Orange Taxi

They sprayed paradise

Put up a chain-link fence

Around camps and bases

To stop the drift

Don’t it always seems to go

You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s too late

They sprayed paradise

Put up a chain-link fence

They took all the trees and vegetation

Told everyone it was simply harmless

No threat to man or beast

All we want now is treatment and compensation

Don’t it always seems to go

You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s too late

They sprayed paradise

Put up a chain-link fence

Hey, Uncle Sam

You put away that AO spray
Left me dying from the inside out

Look at me Please!

Don’t it always seems to go

You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s too late

They sprayed paradise

Put up a chain-link fence

Late last night I felt the door slam
As the big Orange taxi took away my buddy Sam

Don’t it always seems to go

You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s too late

They sprayed paradise

Put up a chain-link fence

I said
Don’t it always seems to go

You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s too late

Wokeness is Brokeness

3-27-2022

Wokeness is Brokeness

When did “Wokeness” begin? Was it the implementation of reverse discrimination through the government’s affirmative action program or the introduction of Ebonics and the insistent call for restitution or monitory payment for what someone did centuries ago or maybe it was just a cry for heritage identification in the face of a national identity? It is like treating a symptom instead of dealing with the source of the pain or affliction. Regardless of how it began the result is fueling racial division and hate in our nation.

Pride in being an American is not limited to citizens or residents of the United States. In fact the American continents include North, Central and South America. They are called the Americas or the New World.

Do you have any idea how many countries?

There are 23 countries in North America along with 9 dependent territories – Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States.

There are 12 countries in South America – Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela. French Guiana is an overseas territory of France and therefore not an independent country.

So when you say you are proud to be an American – so is everyone else!

What about Africa?

There are 54 countries or independent state nations on the continent of Africa – Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic (CAR), Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Nambia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

These citizens and residents are just as proud of their African heritage.

Do Africans refer to themselves African-Africans?

Why does there seem to be a need to hyphenate Americans that only serves to promote racial prejudice and fear mongering?

As the Africans have tribal heritage, in the United States we have both tribes, Asian and European lineage that are important elements in the melting pot we call America.

There are 387 known tribes in Africa and 574 federally recognized tribes that are native, including Alaska, Hawaii and territories of the United States. So before you go around flaunting your “tribal colors” or hyphenating your nationality it would be a good idea to clearly find out first who you are genetically.

As we saw displayed in our Nation’s Capital by congressional “leaders” pandering to the liberal leftists in their midst, they donned the colors of African Slavers who kidnapped and sold entire villages to slave ship captains, instead of colors of those sold into slavery – because they didn’t know the difference.

As far as I’m concerned the anything goes Wokeness is Brokeness by my definition. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Hypothetical on Mandating Electric Vehicles

3-10-2022

Hypothetical on Mandating Electric Vehicles

A friend and I were talking about the long term effects of our government leader implementing the Green New Deal using mandates. In reality this goes back many years now with hydroelectric plants, dams, solar panels, wind-turbines for generating energy to fuel the nation without using one iota of fossil fuels. Has anybody thought this process to a natural conclusion? In a nutshell it is unsustainable!

Basically ever since Al Gore “invented” the internet during his vice presidency someone has been pushing the idea that solar panels on every home in America is the answer. Today’s ads tell that it’s no money out of your pocket to get them installed. What they fail to say is what it’s going to cost in the long run, after installation? Is there a downside to cutting the electrical umbilical cord with your local power company? What about weather and other hazards and I’m talking about earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, thunderstorms, hail, rain, snow, sleet and ice? What is the cost of replacing one solar panel? What about replacing the battery used to store all that energy? Or the cost of replacing other equipment associated with the solar system? How many panels does it take to run refrigerator, freezer, stove, washer, dryer, computers and other electronic stuff?

And if that isn’t enough, Eldon Musk devised this thing called a Tesla that sort of runs on energy stored in a series of batteries that must be charged using a 450 Watt power source from home charging stations located inside the garage(s). Look around at your neighborhood, if everybody had as many Tesla vehicles as they currently have gas or diesel powered ones, what would happen to the power grid?

Other car manufacturers are coming out with their own electric or hybrid vehicles and they too must be plugged in to charge. Are all charging stations alike? Think of cell phones – they each have a different plug and not all phones are created equal. Do they sell eCar to Tesla adapters? What is the cost associated with these charging stations? And how exactly are these charging stations charged – by osmosis? What happens when electric car batteries need to be replaced is there an eco-safe battery graveyard nearby – say in neighboring states? And are automotive dealers, garages or backyard mechanics equipped to handle this new form of energy – safely?

Let’s circle back to those highly visible gigantic wind-turbines which seem to generate a lot of friction inside with their moving parts. How much energy is generated by a single turbine? How are they cooled? I heard tell that it takes about 90-gallons of OIL inside each turbine EVERY DAY to keep them running? Do they have massive storage tanks inside or nearby? What happens when one turbine breaks down, catches on fire or simply quits working? How much does it cost to replace one and how are the old ones disposed of?

Let’s say in about 20 years all the motor vehicles in the US have been replaced with electric ones, where did all the gas/diesel vehicles go? Motorbikes, motorcycles, cars, trucks, buses, trains, tanks, AIRPLANES, military motorized equipment and weapons of war have been converted to electric or hybrid. The world is at peace because we’re all “saving the planet” and the unthinkable happens – Electronic Pulse Devises or lasers located high in the sky above suddenly emit the dreaded EMP and life as we know it comes to a sudden stop. No electronics of any kind are safe from its deadly and immediate strike. Pacemakers, cardiac and other hospital equipment are dead. Phones, power generators, solar panels and any kind of power generating device are rendered useless.

I’m not talking about some conspiracy theory or dreaded end of the world movie, but life as we know it has stopped. People not used to critical thinking are unable to function without cellphones, calculators, adding machines or cash registers, computers, or televisions. Maybe, just maybe we nuked ourselves back to the stone-age and didn’t even know it.

Isn’t it time to get ahead of this potential plague that tumbles kingdoms, nations and empires? The one thing we have going for us is that all the politicians have become useless (not that they aren’t already) and ordinary, average people are forced to use that grey matter between their ears in order to figure out how to survive. Maybe now is the time to replace the 535 members of congress with 535 genuine patriots who know how to hunt and fish, make a living and take care of their families AND their neighbors without government interference. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Compartmentalizing the Minds of Men

3-8-2022

Compartmentalizing the Minds of Men

I must admit that I’m guilty of doing something and then after I’m finished I file it away as being done, never to be thought of again unless it comes out in a conversation. I imagine I’ve done it almost all my life. During my school years there were good days and there were bad days, and I tend not to remember either, until a noise, smell or a song triggers something in my mind and then it’s off to the races. Like last night I was shopping in Goodwill, minding my own business when a song came on the overhead speaker and I began to dance in my head to “Electric Avenue” as I drug my decrepit old body down the aisle.

I guess it’s true with people too. Most of my school chums are gone now and the ones left are so far away that it’s really hard to keep up. It’s the same with family now that mom and dad have passed on; my brothers while close to each other seem like a million miles away while Aunts, Uncles and Cousins are quite literally scattered all over the country and those on social media provide mere glimpses of what’s going on in their neck of the woods.

My time in the military left little time to make lasting friendships, with the mission, our families and the grind of moving constantly from location to location. By the time you thought you knew someone either they were gone or you were on your way too, not too often would our paths cross again until a new unit, new mission, new responsibilities and before long it’d be time to pack up and move again.

Life after the military proved no different with new jobs, coworkers and differing hobbies or after work activities made it hard to make or keep lasting relationships. The one thing I’ve managed to hold onto has been the memories of my first overseas assignment, mostly because I came back with a wife and kids who keep the conversation centered on the country of her birth – Thailand.

My hobbies include being an amateur military historian while researching, reading and writing documentation that gives context or back-story to that time so long ago and bringing into focus a time that has blurred for so many of my peers.

Oh I still file things away after use and discard those who’ve chosen to remove themselves from future contact. Out of sight, out of mind should be my motto.

The friendships I’ve made over the years have held true to a number of people that although separated by distance and time still allow us to pick up our conversations as if we’ve never been apart. For that I’m thankful. So when you see me online, on the street or in a store and I don’t recognize you or remember your name – chalk it up to this cantankerous old coot just having a bad memory day. It’ll come back to me just as soon as I pull away from the mall.

Not Everybody is Christian

3-1-2022

Not Everybody is Christian

While scrolling recently someone posted a Jesus based post asking for people to pray for Ukraine and one of the responses caught my eye. Paraphrased in part the writer said “she could agree with most of the post but not everyone is Christian. She’s Jewish and JC is not part of her religion.” At first I wanted to respond to her reply that was the very reason God sent his son Jesus, but I didn’t.

I then thought how absurd that God would prophesy in ancient scripture about one he would send to save the world, first to the Jews and then to the Gentiles. The Jewish response has not changed one iota in over 2,000 years. “JC” as she referred to Jesus was not in her religion and she’s right. Religion cannot get you into heaven and Jesus is not into any of the estimated 4,200 religions of the world. Jesus is into relationships.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

How sad that anyone would cling to any religion for religion’s sake alone and overlook the only way to salvation from this sinful world. I can see how the Jews wandered around in the wilderness for 40 years being fed by the hand of God, yet complained that life was too hard and nobody knew the trouble they’ve had or might face in the Promised Land that lay ahead.

Here in America we are no better off than the Jews of old unless we admit our sins and ask God to cleanse us, not by the works of our hands, but by the blood of Jesus. We can sing of the mighty wonders of God’s love, but unless we possess that love we are just another empty vessel.

The world demands a ruler that will take care of all their wants and needs and it’s sad to say but be careful of what you ask – you might just get it.

John 3: 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

Can you imagine the world Jesus saw as he walked among it? He saw all manner of mankind doing unspeakable things to each other much like it still does today. Jesus knew his purpose was not to do his own, but the will of his Father and he stayed focused through prayer and fasting while seeking the Father’s will in everything he did. Jesus had the most courage of any man who walked on the face of the earth even when Jesus seemingly walked alone.

John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”

Many people look at Christians as weak-kneed, namby-pamby followers of someone who may or may not have lived and they’re wrong. Christians are not perfect (only Jesus was perfect), but forgiven. Without Jesus who is the Christ there is no hope in this ever changing world. For those who choose NOT to become a believer, they are condemned to an eternity in darkness without anything good.

How is your faith? Your eternity depends on it! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Entertainers Politicians and Trump

Kathy Griffin photo

Entertainers Politicians and Trump

I’ve been thinking a lot about the grip various factions have over Americans of every age or economic group and it needs to be explored. What we “know” about our history has largely been a pictorial history orchestrated and delivered through the medium out of Hollywood. The romanticizing of the American Revolution; the westward expansion of the nation; cowboys and Indians; the birth of Texas; Outlaws like Bonnie and Clyde, Dillinger and others all give a false sense of history that is very different from and outside of reality.

From a political standpoint marginalizing historical accuracy to score political points and secure the votes and control over people who tend to believe everything they are told, often without questioning is akin to nothing more than Gaslighting and stereotyping politicians as men and women so intent on getting to Washington that they will promise everything and deliver nothing except a career in politics that enriches their own pockets does exactly the same thing.

What happened when political outsider Donald Trump went to Washington? America was exposed to the combined efforts of the entertainment industry and career politicians willing to soil the Trump name and reputation in an effort to prevent him from carrying out his duties as President by any means available. Calling it “resistance” but I call it an “insurrection” whereby public figures and elected officials jointly declared it un-American and disloyal to obey or support the sitting president as he worked to make American great again.

It continues today as these same entertainers and politicians are fearful that Trump may run again in 2024 and destroy America. Do they not see what has happened to our nation after they succeeded in tainting an election while placing the blame on Americans intent on stripping the power of these shameless politicians? The American spirit did not curl up and die after the debacle of 2020 but is being renewed daily. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
