My Life in a Nutshell

My Life in a Nutshell

Born on a mountain top in Tennessee……No that was Davy Crockett; it was a dark and stormy night……I couldn’t tell you cause I was just a baby. See writing my life story has always been a challenge, I get through the first sentence or make it through the first paragraph and it all falls apart, but let me try again.

I wasn’t born in a spud field in Idaho although I spent quite a bit of time there as a kid. I was born in Mercy Hospital in Nampa, Idaho back in ’49, almost before it was a hospital. Doctor Kellogg delivered all four of us Wilson boys.

Mom, Janet, was so young that when we went to town everyone thought she was the babysitter (she was that too). She married dad, Joe Sr., at 14 (he wasn’t dad yet). When I (Joe Jr.) came along she was 15 and now a dad, he was 21. He was dad 3 more times for brothers Jesse, Johnnie and Jerry.

We lived on Grandpa David & Grandma Agnes Wilson’s farm when I was born, but moved into the “Hilton” in Homedale. In fact it was a converted chicken coop, on the ditch bank. It had a bedroom for us, a living area with kitchen and I believe it had an outhouse none of it is there anymore (the “Hilton”), but the ditch bank isn’t quite as deep as I remembered. I use to ride a 2 wheel bike to first grade. I must have been a little tyke to fit on that little bike. Everyone use to watch me ride by (so they told me). I remember spending a Christmas there and something about a little electric train with a circle track. I don’t want to talk about the colt we all decided to ride literally to death, so sad.

We moved around some and at one point lived on a farm outside of Wilder. The farm is still there just around the corner is Aunt LuAnn and Uncle Kenny Burton’s place now. Kenny went with me one time to drive by the farm. The house is still there, but most everything else has changed. Gone is the corral where dad and Slim use to break horses. No they didn’t put them over their knee and break them, but tamed them for riding.

I remember getting bit on the shoulder by one horse and it didn’t feel very good. Another time all four of us were on “my” horse. We were galloping down the road when all of a sudden he horse stopped, but we didn’t. I landed on my chin on the ground in front of the horse but I don’t remember whether the others stayed on or not. I remember walking to the apple orchards and spending hours there, eating apples and messing around. During season we’d sneak a watermelon from the farmer up the road. We’d swim in the ditch and watch Disney programs on TV (the old black and white).

As kids we worked alongside the folks in the spud fields. Dad was crew boss for migrant workers who’d come to the area for the harvest. Sometimes we’d all move around Southwestern Idaho and Oregon picking crops. I remember shaking vines (knocking dirt and spuds off). I got my first taste of driving when dad put me in the old spud truck. He’d help me get it started, have me in granny gear, steering in a straight line and when he’s yell stop I’d turn off the engine. It stopped alright. Then we’d keep doing it until the truck was full. Dad used to grab a 100 pound spud sack in each hand and hoist them both up over his shoulders placing them perfectly on the bed of the truck. Don’t remember who was on the truck stacking the spuds, but it was hard work. Later as we got bigger we’d don a spud belt, put empty sacks on the hooks in back and one in the front and begin filling up the sacks. Ours wasn’t nearly as full, but until we couldn’t pull them anymore. We got paid by the sack, same as everyone else (probably not as much). At the end of the week we’d go into town for a burger, fries and a coke.

Homedale put in a new ice cream joint and the neighbor girl, Karen, named it “The Frosty Palace”. We’d go there sometimes for a HUGE chocolate covered cone for 25 cents. Always loved that place, until a few years ago I took mom and dad back there and we pulled in to the drive thru and ordered ice cream cones, and found out they don’t serve ice cream there anymore.

I remember the old WWII Sherman tank at the city park we used to climb on. Over the years I’d take the kids, and grandkids there when we’d come to Idaho to visit the folks. Glad the tank’s still there. Good memories.

We moved to another farm near Nyssa, Oregon. That place brought more memories too. I remember walking with dad in town one time, just don’t remember why? Us boys would take the 4/10 shotgun and walk way down to the bridge and shoot pigeons. It was a long walk back then. I got to drive over and find the old farm on one trip home. I turned on the road, crossed the bridge and went maybe 25 feet to the house. Not quite as far as I remembered. I do remember dad bought an old WWII surplus ¾ ton pickup and we’d learn to drive it, if we could get it started. It had one of those floor starter buttons, and the gas pedal was missing, so there was this knob we had to press (or maybe it was the starter?), but for barefoot boys it could be a challenge. We also drove the farm tractor.

When dad stepped in a posthole he had to be taken to the VA hospital in Boise and was there for quite a while. Mom traded the farm for a house in Boise and we moved there around ’60 or ’61. We lived on Lindsay Lane off Victory Rd, over by the railroad tracks. We used to watch the trains go by. At times we’d watch the movie playing at the drive in theatre on the other side of the tracks. I remember Christmas when we got our bikes. We rode them all over Boise and all the way to Meridian collecting pop bottles and selling them for a nickel each. At times the folks would have us peddle garden stuff, tomatoes, carrots or whatever. I used to hate that because I was not the consummate salesman. Still don’t like to sell stuff.

Grandma Edna Laub (Grandpa Minor Lamond Laub died in ‘53) moved to Nampa and we’d go spend summers with her and the girls (Marilyn, Carol and Colleen). We never called her Colleen, but usually she answered to “Coke”, but I don’t know why? I remember sneaking into the Snake River Stampede Rodeo one summer when “The Cisco Kid and Pancho” were the guests of honor. (I used to have an autographed picture.)

Grandpa David Wilson moved to a farm in Kuna and I remember spending summers working with Uncle Gary setting pipe, driving the grain truck and messing around grandpa’s blacksmith shop. Good memories.

I went to Hawthorne Elementary School, later to South Junior High and then to Borah High School where I joined the Civil Air Patrol. Did a lot of events, ball games parking cars, the Little Theatre down by the VA where we directed traffic. We even went out to Mountain Home Air Force Base to an air show. We had our exhibition drill team perform and then we walked around the flight line. Went to an air show at the Boise airport and dropped my name in for a drawing for free ground school. I won and all I needed was $50 for the textbook, which I didn’t have so I gave it to another kid. I remember getting the moped and Chuck writing a song about my ’64 Moped to the tune of a Beach Boys song.

We moved from Boise to Kuna the summer before my senior year. At first I decided to quit school because I wanted to graduate from Borah. Spending the summer riding a dozer pulling a rake got me to thinking of going in the army and driving tanks. Then that passed and I decided to go finish my senior year at Kuna High School. I got my letter as towel guy of the basketball team (I couldn’t dribble or shoot hoops).

After graduating with my Uncle Gary and the class of ’67 I moved to Boise and started working for an auto parts store as the delivery driver. I did that until I got talked into joining the army on the buddy system with an acquaintance Steve Jones, we were going to be helicopter pilots.  Remember this was during the Vietnam War and I didn’t score high enough for pilot school.

I enlisted for transportation school, becoming a truck driver in Southeast Asia, in Thailand, hauling bombs to toilet paper to Air Force and Army units while Steve went on to become a door-gunner/crew chief on helicopters in Vietnam. I ran into Steve only once after we both came back from Southeast Asia.

There’s more to my story, the condensed version of my childhood in a nutshell. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Hate is a Powerful Thing

47305493_2171086309589578_1108652507887828992_n

12-2-2018

Hate is a Powerful Thing

Explain to me how and why you hate President Donald J. Trump? Go ahead, I’m listening? There must be a rational explanation, right?

It had to be something like Trump fired you or a family member? Or maybe it was because he took candy away from you as a baby? He is a 72 year old man and many who hate him aren’t even old enough to hate him or even know why?

Or maybe Trump beat you playing golf or kicked you off one of his many golf courses? Did he overcharge you on the penthouse at one of his properties?

If you’re a Veteran maybe you’re sore because Trump was medically classified as not fit for military service (4F) due to a foot condition? Some even say he had multiple deferments? A medical classification is not a deferment, but if he was turned down multiple times it shows that he kept trying to get in to the military but was unsuccessful each time. If you’re not a Veteran what is your excuse?

If you’re a woman Trump must have made sexual advances toward you personally? Or was it because you remember seeing a younger Donald Trump with a beautiful woman on each arm? Were you jealous because neither of those women were you? Rosie O’Donnell was at some of those events as his guest and she must have been offended because now she is a real hater of Trump.

If you’re a member of a minority he must have personally insulted you? Did you work you or someone you know to death and pay them peanuts? Maybe he worked you like a slave, is that it?

When did you first realize that you hated Trump? Did you watch him on The Apprentice as he said “You’re Fired”? Was it a family member, a friend or a stranger? Did he hurt your feelings?

Is it because Trump has his name on his properties, his aircraft, buses or helicopter or because he lived in Trump Tower in New York? Have you not heard about doing something right the first time or don’t do it at all? But if you’re not willing to put your name on it (stand behind your work) it’s not worth doing.

I’m not from New York or from the east coast area so I simply ignored the goings on of some rich guy. I had other things to do in life and no time to speculate over who, what or why this guy Trump did what he did. I’m sure most of America did the same.

Was it when Donald Trump ascended the marble staircase with Melania and announced his candidacy for President? Was it the way he said it? Maybe it was manner of speaking after all he’s a New Yorker? Oh yeah, a filthy rich New Yorker with all the toys, fame and fortune any man could want. He must have been doing this as a publicity stunt?

Did you get turned off when he began turning on the Republican candidates as I did? Was it simply time to dislike his approach or did you begin to hate? It must have been when Trump began attacking Hillary Clinton and called her “Crooked Hillary” or Hillary “Rotten” (Rodham) Clinton?

That is when all the sexual allegations began to surface in a massive attempt to derail his campaign. Were you on board with all that? Did you participate in those attacks in your own way?

Was it when Trump began reversing Obama policies and decisions that were unconstitutional, unlawful or hurtful toward Americans?

Maybe it was when Trump said he was going to build the wall? After all it is racist to exclude people who want to come to America for a better life. But did you voice your concern when Barack Obama allowed thousands of Middle Easterners unfettered access and entry into the country without sufficient vetting? If so I didn’t hear you.

Was it when Trump said he was going to drain the swamp in Washington? Were you fearful that you would be exposed? Did the skeletons in YOUR closet begin to rattle and shake?

Then it had to be when Trump said he was going to Make America Great Again? I mean that’s absurd because you think America was never great, right?

Were you part of the “resistance” movement by liberals who decided that stopping Trump at any expense and any way possible was alright? Are you still of that mind?

Hate is not something we are born with. Hate must be taught and is reinforced throughout a lifetime. Hate is a powerful thing and often begins with unresolved anger. Hate if not checked or stopped can lead to violence and murder.

In America during the past 3 years the media has stoked the fires of hate, to the point that some have taken advantage of others by orchestrating rallies, marches and even riots aimed at dividing our nation in an effort to destroy our constitutional republic.

This process is being accomplished using the blueprint of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”. In a nutshell the rules call for identifying the target,; isolating that target; attacking the target; publishing damaging or embarrassing material and making up stuff is alright; use the targets own words against it. Alinsky used examples in his book that one cannot fight city hall, but one can fight an identifiable person in city hall, say the mayor; you can’t fight corporations, but target the CEO.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have both studied these principles and have used them during their campaigns for the presidency. Obama was extremely successful against Hillary and against McCain while Hillary tried unsuccessfully against Obama and Trump.

All the hatred aimed at Trump and the attacks aimed at dividing our nation are manufactured hate by proxy. One person who literally hates Trump transfers that hatred through false media reports, on social media and the internet, over radio and television and uses rally’s, marches and riots to get others to share in that hatred. Even athletes and entertainers are simply pawns in the war on Trump that includes taking apart every speech, or tweet and spinning it to their desired ends, whether true or not (Remember the Alinsky Principle).

During the 23 months of the Trump administration many historically important accomplishments have mostly gone unheralded in the American press but can be accessed on the White House website.

These same people are the ones who say that Trump supporters are mindless obedient minions who have no original thought. I say they must stand in front of a mirror practicing for a very long time in order to believe what they themselves are. How can you hate Trump when he has not done anything to you personally to warrant that hate? If he has in some way offended you when did you call or write to tell him? Why not? – I am the Real Truckmaster!

This Really Chaps My Hide

This Really Chaps My Hide

The media (even Fox News) continues to stoke the fires of division during an interview of a Senator (didn’t get her name) when she said she was glad that President Trump had accepted and will be there to honor former President Bush. Did I miss something? Since when is it common practice for the sitting president to not honor the passing of a former president?

Wasn’t it John McCain who “forbid” President Trump to give his eulogy? Vice President Pence and his wife attended instead. The entire “funeral” was dedicated to bashing Trump and in no way honoring John McCain.

What about SCOTUS Justice Anton Scalia’s funeral, where was President Obama? Why was nothing said about that? How is it that a Supreme Court Justice died in his sleep on a ranch of a Senator in Texas and no investigation or inquiry was done to find out how it happened or why?

I try not to be political, but this insane hatred of President Trump is NOT him hating anyone else, it’s the liberals on the left who hate Trump so much that nothing else matters.

This nation is divided over non-issues and trivial matter. So much so that actual accomplishments of historical and international importance rate no mention with today’s news organizations. Nowhere in the Constitution have I seen or read about “Freedom of the Snobs”! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

A True American Warrior Died Today

As the sun comes up across America we learn of the passing last night of a true American warrior, politician and president. In a Houston Hospital Room surrounded by family George Herbert Walker Bush took his final breath shortly at 10:10 PM on 30 November 2018. He will be missed and mourned by a grateful nation.

Here’s what we know about the life spanning from his Yale University days of playing Baseball in the 1940s. During World War II he was one of the Navy’s youngest pilots and was shot down during a 1944 bombing mission in the Pacific.

He met Barbara at a dance in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1941. He was 17 and she was 16. They later married in 6 January 1945, making them the longest married presidential couple until her death on 17 April 2018.

His public service was as a Texas Congressman, 11th Director of the CIA, 43rd U.S. Vice President under Ronald Reagan and 41st U.S. President (1989 – 1993). His father, Prescott, had been a U.S. Senator. His oldest son, George W., was 43rd U.S. President and his son, Jeb, had been Governor of Florida.

Foreign policy the Gulf War, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolving of the Soviet Union were the centerpiece of the Bush presidency. Among his other accomplishments were instituting a ban on importing semi-automatic rifles and signing the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act and 1001 Civil Rights Act.

George H. W. (94) is survived by his 5 children, 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandkids. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, and his daughter, Robin, who died in 1953 at age 3 from leukemia. He will be buried at the family burial site, behind his presidential museum in College Station, Texas.

On a personal note, I was in the military and beginning a 2 year separation deployment from my family in Japan. The night I arrived in Japan I saw on early morning television that Emperor Hirohito had died (7 January 1989) and President George H. W. Bush (#41) was inaugurated on 20 January 1989.

Operation Desert Shield began on 2 August 1989 and I returned and retired at Fort Carson, Colorado on 31 December 1990. Two short weeks later, Desert Shield (buildup phase) turned into Desert Storm (combat phase) on 17 January 1991 – 28 February 1991 of the Gulf War. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Coming to America

11-30-2018

Coming to America

Look behind the scenes and forget about the political posturing over these so called asylum seeking migrants and the Trump administration’s refusal to simply let them in. By now it’s clear that this was an orchestrated “invasion” attempt by 3rd and 4th parties of undeclared origin whose only purpose was to take unfair advantage of simple, ordinary people who want to raise their families.

Clearly there were those who are troublemakers and criminal elements with the intent of breeching a hole in American sovereignty and consisting of known MS-13 gang members and others who traffic in human cargo and drugs with the intent of getting on US soil to continue their unlawful enterprise.

We saw the assault on the border, with staged “events” using CS gas canisters from the Mexican authorities and trying to pass them off as having been lobbed by agents of the US border patrol.

Even as they were being formed up in Central America and prior to their trek northward, media outlets and reporters were beefing up the story of these poor immigrant families preparing to walk 2,000 miles northward to enter the United States. Along the way someone obviously thought calling it a walk for asylum was a good idea and heart wrenching.

Why would a people willing to work in the United States not simply go to the nearest US Embassy and apply for a work permit visa? There would be no disruption of life for families and no hazardous journey on the hopes of gaining entry. Children would not suffer along the way. Women would not face the threat of being raped or murdered at the whim of criminals. Fathers would not worry about having to defend their families from intruders or outsiders. This was a political stunt on the world stage, an effort to test American resolve see if the sovereignty of a nation would stand. I think it’s a dress rehearsal for something more intense in the making.

A universal law, whether written or not, calls for someone seeking asylum to do so at the first country they come to by showing proof of their fear of social, political or religious persecution. Those wishing to gain asylum in the United States would then apply at the nearby US Embassy. Those receiving asylum would be given documentation and possibly transportation to the United States where they would be assigned a sponsor, provided temporary assistance (housing, medical, job assistance, etc.) and expected to become productive members of our society and provided a path to citizenship. This process happens every day in America but is not something easily done in a day or two.

Those who are denied or turned down for entry have no “right” to combat any government over their laws or to claim they are being discriminated against. They must simply go home or try applying elsewhere.

What have happened in the United States are politicians who are willing to weaken national security because they don’t like the President of the United States because he threatened their power over the people, it then boils down to a power struggle.

“Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.” – Proverbs 17:28

As the saying goes, “Even a broken clock is right twice a day.” Quotation Celebration

“The greatest lesson in life is to know that even fools are right sometimes.” – Sir Winston Churchill Quotation Celebration

As Forrest Gump would say, “Stupid is as stupid does.” Quotation Celebration

I like this one “A fool is totally unaware that they’re a fool. To thee fool, EVERYONE ELSE is the fool.” Quotation Celebration

Our nation is one diverse peoples and of blending cultures. We have more in common than we have apart. It’s like someone telling someone else to go back where you came from, an expression of outright racism. However if you carried that thought out to a logical conclusion you would see the fallacy in that, first we are all descendants of Adam and Eve who were in the Garden of Eden. God moved them out of the Garden of Eden and placed an angel in front of the entrance so that they could never return. But if returning was a possibility, I don’t see the Garden of Eden capable of holding the population of the world. So another quote comes to mind, “Can’t we all just get along?” – Rodney King

Coming to America is such a misnomer because America spans South, Central and North America. Most of the immigrants who came as a result of the “caravans” are Americans and were already in America. What they all wanted, for various reasons, was an opportunity to live and/or work in the United States of America. The vehicle they used was not the right one, nor was the path they chose the right one.

Before we can help anyone we must first learn to help ourselves. We have our own homeless and down trodden living and dying on the streets of America. We have entire communities living in despair.

“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?” – Matthew 7:3

“Do not look down or judge anyone else, only God sits that high!” – Unknown

We are all drifting in the same body of water – Jesus is the life line! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Proud to be a Democrat?

11-28-2018

Proud to be a Democrat?

To truly understand what it means to be a Democrat one must look at the definition according to Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary.

Democrat

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/democrat

noun

dem·o·crat | \ˈde-mə-ˌkrat

  1. Definition of democrat

1a: an adherent of democracy

b: one who practices social equality

2: capitalized: a member of the Democratic party of the U.S.

  1. Definition of Democrat

1: a person who believes in or supports democracy

2: a lifelong Democrat

By this definition a democrat adheres to democracy, practices social equality and is a member of the Democratic Party. Really not much to go on is there?

So let’s compare the definition against what we see in today’s main stream media, online and on social media.

Do we see Democrats adhering to or subverting democracy?

The answer is obvious Democrats go out of their way to subvert democracy.

Do we see Democrats practicing social equality or social inequality?

The answer again is obvious Democrats go out of their way practicing social inequality.

Do we see Democrats as members of the Democratic party of the U.S.?

The answer is a resounding NO they are not all members of the Democratic party but conduct themselves with liberal social tendencies and are beholding to no political party.

Did you know there is such a thing as a Liberal Democrat?

Liberal Democrat

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Liberal%20Democrat

noun

Definition of Liberal Democrat

:a member or supporter of a British political party that is known as the Liberal Democrats

So by this definition all of you liberal democrats must be BRITISH, right?

I thought we fought the British during the Revolutionary War already?

The last definition is that of Democratic Socialism where we get Social Democracy.

Social Democracy

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/social%20democracy

noun

Definition of social democracy

1: a political movement advocating a gradual and peaceful transition from capitalism to socialism by democratic means

2: a democratic welfare state that incorporates both capitalist and socialist practices

That is where we are today in 2018, we have those who call themselves Democrats but have no idea what it actually means to be one. Then we have those who take being a Democrat even further left to think like a British Liberal Democrat while pushing off Social Democracy as their overall goal to move capitalism over to socialism by democratic means, thus the welfare state with capitalism and socialism co-existing.

This leads to anarchy and chaos in nations around the world who have taken that step left. In a period of 10 years the nation of Venezuela went from being one of the richest nations in South America to the failed socialist state that it is today.

So I ask you are you proud to be a Democrat? Do you aspire to the notion that the purpose of government is to give you free stuff and take care of your personal needs?

Do you call that patriotism? I do not!

I find it difficult to believe that men, women, boys and girls fall for the trap of socialism, thinking that it’s a grander state of social media. It’s especially hard for military veterans and retirees to follow that same path, where many have seen firsthand the pitfalls of socialism.

This nation was founded on the principle that ALL men are created equal by their creator. Not by any political party or by getting loads of free stuff. This nation was founded on freedom and freedom isn’t free.

When you line up behind the talking heads in Washington who trash our country and our president, his family and all that he stands for, you are trashing YOU! The statement you give to the world is “LOOK AT ME I’M TOTALLY CLUELESS!” The Democrat Party has systematically manipulated class and racial separation in the United States. They have enticed by bribery the very folks who suffer the greatest under their control.

It is time to walk away from the Democrat Party and get behind someone who is working hard to make your life better by raising your standard of living and making the United States a more secure and safer place to live and raise your family.

If you are an immigrant who has come here to work and live you must abide by the laws of this country and become part of the American Dream (not just a dreamer).

And if you are a political leader in your community or state or a member of Congress you must stop the political bickering and begin to think like a patriot who will not stand idly by while the fabric of this nation is torn asunder.

It is your duty and mine to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies both foreign and domestic and obey the orders of the President of the United States and those appointed over us. Stand for what is right. Defend the defenseless. Care for the poor. Honor each other and to trust in Almighty God. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Going Out With a Bang or Bust

11-28-2018

Going Out With a Bang or Bust

Everyone likes to think they are the greatest. Cassius Clay evaded the draft by converting to Islam and changing his name to Mohammad Ali. He then hit the world of boxing with, “Float like a butterfly, Sting like a bee” and proclaimed to the world, “I am the greatest fighter of all time”. Mohammad Ali left at the top of his game and is fondly remembered for boxing skill.

After Watergate then President Richard Nixon proclaimed, “I am not a crook” as he raised his hands over his head then proceeded to board the Marine helicopter in front of the White House. Nixon a former naval officer during World War II simply went off to his ranch in California to live out his life shunned by the nation he so loved.

Even former President Barack Obama claimed to have “no scandals that affected his administration” while leaving the nation in ruins after Fanny Mae and Freddy Mack, Obamacare, Corporation bailouts, DACA and even Benghazi. Obama is the first former president to publicly tour the US and the world bashing his predecessor and sitting POTUS, President Donald Trump. His living legacy will be revealed when the so-called “Russian Collusion” investigation by Robert Mueller comes to a conclusion.

Senator John McCain left no doubt that he was a Vietnam POW war hero turned politician with two unsuccessful runs at the presidency, left as his legacy, “Trump will not give my eulogy”. It was a funeral never to be surpassed in the history of politics as it was a giant “Bash Trump” affair, and didn’t even need the president to attend. Such a waste and a disgrace.

But who can forget Hillary Clinton, former FLOTUS, Senator, Madam Secretary and twice beaten at her run for the presidency and her infamous book, “What Happened”, followed by the sequel, “What Happened 2”. She really thought she was the best woman for the job, and did everything in her power to insure her “ascension to the throne” of world power. The bright side is she beat Bernie Sanders, although it wasn’t fair or square. Is she still considering another run for the presidency in 2020?

Speaking of presidential hopeful Senator Bernie Sanders his base supported him yet he still lost to Hillary Clinton and has not given up another run for the presidency, should he be the best man for the job of beating President Donald Trump in 2020.

I could go on and on with all the Democrat Party hopefuls who seem to think they are the powerhouse to beat President Trump in 2020. Even the shyster lawyer of the porn star is eying a run for the presidency. There are Senators and Congressmen and women, local politicians and retired military officers who each feel they are going to be the one to challenge and defeat the president.

Many of the politicians have had a good run in Washington, they have run their race and in all honesty it’s time to go back to their meager existence in their gated mansions and write their memoirs.

There are still a number of politicians who will have to “pay the piper” once the red tape of political corruption has been severed. They have committed crimes of note: treasonous, illegal money deals and even converting private and government property or funds into their own little financial windfall.

As I have written about many times, being qualified to be president is not the same as being president. When will these “Stars of the Democrat Party” realize that they are not the saviors’ of the United States or the world leader they think they are. They should prepare themselves to go out at the height of their popularity with a bang, before they end up with a bust.

Of the 45 POTUS since the nation’s founding in 1776 there has only been one in recent memory who didn’t run for fame or fortune, but for the love of our country. And although God Almighty has ordained who occupies the office of the presidency, many have failed to live up to that office. There have been outright liars, cheaters, gamblers and womanizing in the White House, giving notoriety to the “Lincoln Bedroom”. There has been only one with an understanding of and experience to close the deal in domestic and international foreign policy.

When things get rough, the tough usually fold their hand and leave the table, but with President Donald Trump failure may be achieved, but it is never an option to settle for. “It’s a very imperfect world, and you can’t always choose your friends. That’s life. But you can never fail to recognize your enemies.” – President Donald J. Trump – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Casting Stones as the World Turns

11-27-2018

Casting Stones as the World Turns

When I look around at what is happening in the world today there is nothing new under the sun.

Ecclesiastics 1:9 “That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.

I remember the 1965 hit song written by Pete Seeger in the 1950s “To Everything There Is a Season” and taken literally from Ecclesiastics 3: 1-8, it was recorded by the Byrds as “Turn, Turn, Turn”.

Turn, Turn, Turn

(To Everything There Is a Season)

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, a time to reap that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

The world we live in is broken and the people who populate the earth are flawed. We are told in the bible that there is no new thing in life.

Here we are in 2018 and it seems the world is spinning out of control at an alarming rate. Our society are vexed by what they “feel” is right.

One of today’s advertising slogans says, “If you can see her, you can be her”. It is aimed at encouraging young women to expand their horizons and reach for the stars. However whose who’s minds have been skewed by liberal outside the box thinking have come to believe that “If I feel like a woman, therefore I am”, or “If I want to feel younger, I am therefore younger”.

What we have is a massive identity crisis, not only in the United States, but across the globe. The rush to remove God from our lives has left a void that is filled with total darkness. Without God there can be no good, because God alone is good.

Women strive to become men while men yearn to become women. Modern medical procedures pump bodies full of drugs and scalpels complete the process to transform bodies into transgender beings.

Absolute brain washing has people thinking and believing that gender is a relative term. There are no absolutes, not limited to male or female but reduced to the letter “X” on a state driver’s license. Parents are told not to designate the sex of a baby on the birth certificate but the baby has the right to choose the sex they will identify with at a later date. One would think that “as a man thinks so he is” has to be one of the great mysteries of life.

What we see today goes back to Proverbs 29:27, “An unjust man is detestable to the righteous, and one whose way is upright is detestable to the wicked”. The Bible leaves no doubt about creation when it plainly states in Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” and later in Genesis 1:27, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Even though it seems that the world is spinning out of control we are told that the world will know us by our fruits, “How we love one another”. That is to say we are not to engage ourselves in the things of the world (the blameless are t cast the first stone), but to take care of the body of Christ “The Church”.

We are to submit to the Lord, resist the devil and turn from our wicked ways. We are to place our trust not in ourselves, but in God alone. Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” – I am the Real Truckmaster!

The “Glass Ceiling” in the White House

FLOTUS Lydia Sturgis

The “Glass Ceiling” in the White House

Earlier this year there was a story of CEO Stacey Cunningham of the New York Stock Exchange where the reporter talked about breaking the glass ceiling for women. According to this NPR article this is the first time in 226 years in NYSE history where a woman has been named CEO. I think the article is pretty well written and Stacey Cunningham has a lot to be grateful for.

https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2018/05/22/613353836/a-woman-has-been-named-as-nyse-ceo-it-only-took-226-years

Why has the press overlooked the Trump Administration pushing against the “Glass Ceiling” for women in government? It’s not about simply putting women in government to fill a position or “slot”. It’s more than that, it’s about bringing onboard women who are smart, knowledgeable and experienced in the area where they are needed.

I’m sure some sort of similar “Glass Ceiling” has been reached a number of times as seen in this article which acknowledges President Trump receives little credit for some very big deals in his administration.

http://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/369112-trumps-first-year-in-office-was-the-year-of-the-woman

I’ve listed women who are currently in these critical positions, and who have done well in presenting and moving forward President Trumps agenda.

  • Nikki R. Haley – Ambassador to the United Nations. Ambassador Haley has stood toe to toe with the United Nations while representing the United States standing side by side with Israel. She has announced her departure as ambassador where she was an example for all.
  • Elaine L. Chao – Secretary of Transportation
  • Kirstjen Nielsen – Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security
  • Heather Wilson – Secretary of the Air Force
  • Sarah Huckabee Sanders – White House Press Secretary
  • Kellyanne Conway – Counselor to the President
  • Linda E. McMahon – Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration
  • Elizabeth “Betsy” Prince DeVos – Secretary of Education
  • Jovita Carranza – U.S. Treasurer
  • Neomi Rao – Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs
  • Zina Bash – White House Domestic Policy Councilmember
  • Katy Talento – White House Health Care Policy Advisor
  • Melania Trump – First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) – is an example of an accomplished and knowledgeable lady in her own right, who rose from immigrant to U.S. citizen and FLOTUS.
  • Karen Pence – Second Lady of the United States (SLOTUS) – is a role model as she furthers her own agenda while reaching out to the spouses and families of America’s military.
  • Lindsay Reynolds – FLOTUS’s Chief of Staff
  • Stephanie Winston Wolkoff – Senior Advisor to FLOTUS
  • Stephanie Grisham – Director of Communications for FLOTUS
  • Abigail Slater – National Economic Council
  • Madeleine Westerhout – Executive Assistant to the President
  • Julia Hahn – Special Assistant to the President
  • Seema Verma – Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
  • Kelly Sadler – Director of Surrogate & Coalitions Outreach
  • Mercedes Schlapp – Senior Communications Strategist
  • Ivanka Trump – White House Advisor
  • Jessica Ditto – Deputy Director of Communications
  • Lindsay Walters – Deputy White House Press Secretary
  • Helen Aguirre Ferre – White House Media Affairs Director
  • Gina Haspel – Director Central Intelligence Agency

It would seem that the Trump Administration has truly broken the “Glass Ceiling” in filling these very important positions within the White House Staff and in the Administration.

What amazes me is the amount of talented women in government who are virtually ignored by publications worldwide who would do well to do extensive articles (stories and pictures) highlighting the accomplishments which these women exemplify as working wives, mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts and sisters, they are among America’s greatest treasures. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

My Thoughts on Storming the Border

11-26-2018

My thoughts on Storming the Border

Here we go again, another hot button issue, right? We should all thank Congress, the international agencies and the illegal immigrants themselves for this wild display of theatrics. It was a better watch than “The View” or just about any program on CNN over the weekend.

Seriously, it is insane to travel from your homeland, breaching several international borders, bypassing armies and police because you want to come to the United States. It is greatly compounded when you have no money, no papers, families or children (minor children) setting out on what seems to be a great adventure. It is pure nonsense for everyone who orchestrates or enables this hair-brained idea in the first place. It is also illegal and a really bad idea.

So we see pictures of women and small children running wildly away as US officials launch tear gas grenades at them. Other pictures are of women holding one hand over their mouth and the other over a child’s mouth. It is repeated over social media, the news and on radio that the US has attacked poor people with children travelled over 2,000 miles to seek asylum in the US. If that’s not bad enough prominent members of Congress lead the charge insisting these illegal immigrants be let into the country.

Does that about sum it up, or did I miss something?

A normal rational and logical person would begin asking questions. They would want to know why someone seeking asylum would not first seek it in a nearby country. Or why not go to the closest US Embassy or Consulate and apply for asylum?

And to “walk” 2,000 miles in a month, did that include hopping the train, riding a bus or on a semitrailer or truck? What did they do for food or sanitation (toilet breaks)? How about shelter enroute? More importantly what about personal safety, or the safety of their women and children? How did they know they were going in the right direction? When coming to an international border, who took the lead to rush the border? What were the hazards they faced?

So far none of this makes any sense. Unless you factor in the organizations who are anti-border that provided “volunteers” to gather the masses and herd them northward along an organized route. Plus you have representatives from the United Nations who are to insure they are treated fairly and humanely. And one must not forget those who provided the finances for procuring food, water and shelter (as it was) to accommodate more than 7,000 people in each caravan, then times it by the caravans who follow.

Mexican authorities did not deter these travelers, but ESCORTED them northward to the US border crossing at Tijuana. In fact the conditions they brought with them have been deplorable at best. Local residents live in fear as these “invaders” have disrupted the very existence of locals. They behave unlawfully, unruly and DEMAND better conditions, instead of working together to make their conditions better.

President Trump’s response has been firm. No unlawful crossings. No asylum processing for anyone who crosses illegally.  Trump has urged Mexico to hold in immigrants or deport them back to their home countries by any means necessary. US forces have been given authority to use deadly force if necessary to protect themselves and/or Customs and Border Patrol personnel. Congress has been challenged to fully fund the border wall.

So yesterday (Sunday 11-25-2018) migrants concentrated their efforts to rush the border and were met with tear gas and when it was over around 50 migrants were apprehended and will be prosecuted for unlawful entry into the United States. All foot and vehicle traffic was halted for a period of time as the border crossing was closed. President Trump has threatened to permanently close this crossing point until this crisis has been resolved.

It is important for the American public to understand that it is a criminal offense to aid and abet immigrants attempting to circumvent ignore immigration laws. Immigrants who do can be permanently banned from any future attempt at immigrating and US citizens can face prison or fines.

Instead of bantering back and forth about the inhumane treatment of immigrants, Americans should rally behind the President in securing the US Southern border against unlawful immigration. Failing to support President Trump doesn’t make you a racist. It just makes you ignorant and totally stupid!

If you want to bring immigrants into the United States, try sponsoring an immigrant family (at your own expense) until they have established themselves and are able to support themselves. You might help them to prepare for citizenship and insure they fully understand what assimilation is all about.

Immigration is not a “right” it is a privilege extended to some who apply. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
