Race Discrimination in the Workplace

1-5-2019

Race Discrimination in the Workplace

And In The Congress of the United States

Historically, race discrimination has been practiced and even sanctioned by the United States government in a number of ways. Not everyone born on US soil was afforded citizenship, given the right to vote, allowed into public accommodations, allowed employment, afforded credit or housing in certain neighborhoods.

Law makers have enacted several federal laws to address discrimination. Many states have enacted civil rights laws of their own and even extended protection to LGBT individuals. Anti-discrimination laws prevent certain classes of individuals to get a fair shake at almost every level. Even cities and counties have ordnances and laws for civil rights.

In the area of education schools have removed certain standards (affirmative action) so as to accommodate students who might otherwise be unable to attend classes or pursue their areas of interest.

In this day and age it has become politically incorrect to refer to individuals by their birth gender and parents are told they must wait until the child decides what gender they identify as.

During the era of the Civil Rights Movement we saw legislators pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964: Title II (Equal Employment Opportunities).

The Civil Rights Act of 1964: Title VII (Equal Employment Opportunities)

The Civil Rights Act was a very significant piece of legislation when it was enacted in 1964 and continues to protect individuals against discrimination. The Act has many anti-discrimination provisions including Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ( Equal Employment Opportunities) which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin (including limited English proficiency).

Next the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA).

The Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)

The Equal Credit Opportunity Act grants all applicants an equal opportunity to obtain credit through the anti-discrimination provision. The ECOA prohibits creditors from discriminating against credit applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, age, and the applicant’s use of public assistance.

Then U.S. Code Title 42, Chapter 21-Civil Rights

U.S. Code Title 42, Chapter 21-Civil Rights

Title 42, Chapter 21 of the U.S. Code prohibits discrimination against persons based on age, disability, gender, race, national origin, and religion (among other things) in a number of settings – including education, employment, public accommodations, federal services, and more. Chapter 21 is where a number of federal acts related to civil rights have been codified – including the Civil Rights Act of 1866, Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Civil Rights of Institutionalized Persons Act.

Followed by the Fair Housing Act, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act.

Fair Housing Act

The Fair Housing Act (FHA) prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability.

Voting Rights Act of 1965

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 (VRA) bans the denial or restriction of the right to vote and forbids discrimination in voting practices on the basis of race and color nationwide.

Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act

The Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act provides for equitable and impartial relief operations, without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, religion, nationality, sex, age, or economic status during an official emergency or disaster.

Whether it is discrimination in education, on the job, housing, public accommodations, or another area, anti-discrimination laws are here to protect you. However, the laws are complex.

https://civilrights.findlaw.com/discrimination/race-discrimination-applicable-laws.html

With all the emphasis on correcting racism it is inconceivable that the U. S. House of Representatives and the U. S. Senate would allow blatant and open discrimination and racism to taint the halls of Congress.

In January 1969 a group of U.S. Representatives decided to form a “Democratic Select Committee” as a legislative service organization to work together for the mutual good of the Black communities who elected them to public office. In 1971 the DSC officially renamed to become the Congressional Black Caucus in February 1971.

In 1971 President Nixon refused to meet with the CBC leadership or recognize their existence. In retaliation the CBC boycotted the 1971 State of the Union address. A tactic they used against President Reagan, and continued with President Trump’s State of the Union address in 2017.

The Congressional Black Caucus and 27 other legislative service organizations were to have their funding rescinded by the House of Representatives in 1994. However that did not stop the group from restructuring into the “Congressional Black Caucus” as a Congressional Member Organization on January 4, 1995.

Although their caucus bylaws do not make race a prerequisite for membership, they have “chosen” to remain an “exclusively black” caucus. In 2007 Tennessee Rep. Steve Cohen applied to join but was denied because he was white.

Missouri Rep. William Lacy Clay, Jr. said “it’s time to move on because we have racial policies to pursue and we are pursuing them.” Rep. Clay also said “Rep. Cohen will have to accept what the rest of the country will have to accept…….It’s our turn to say who can join ‘the club’. He does not, and cannot, meet the membership criteria unless he can change his skin color. Primarily, we are concerned with the needs and concerns of the black population.”

Later that same week Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo objected to the continued existence of the CBC, as well as the Democratic Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Republican Congressional Hispanic Conference arguing that “It is utterly hypocritical for Congress to extol the virtues of a color-blind society while officially sanctioning caucuses that are based solely on race. If we are serious about achieving the goal of a colorblind society, Congress should lead by example and end these divisive, race-based caucuses.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congressional_Black_Caucus

It was during that 2007 campaign cycle that CBC member Sen. Barack Obama ran for and won the election as President of the United States. His campaign and election emboldened the CBC to not only remain solvent but extend themselves as the political powerhouse they are today. Read my Conspiracy versus Collusion blog https://wordpress.com/post/realtruckmaster.blog/1254.

Today the Congressional Black Caucus have committee chairs/co-chairs and members in more than 25 Congressional Committees, Sub-Committees, Taskforces and Working Groups. Their members span both political parties and across the chambers of the Legislative Branch from the House to the Senate, which compromise the integrity of the entire Legislative Branch of government.

Congressional Black Caucus members are openly blatant in their hunt for racism in the White House, on Federal Property while choosing to ignore their own individual and collective racism. It is my sincere opinion that the CBC is a major player in the Washington DC Swamp. Their members must be held to a higher standard and they must be accountable for their actions and inactions in the performance of their duties as public servants. It is time for American voters to make better choices for the sake of their children and grandchildren if this nation is to survive.

Trumpmania What’s It All About In A Nutshell

1-1-2019

Trumpmania What’s It All About In A Nutshell

I wanted to start off the 2019 Real Truckmaster Series deciphering Trumpmania and why it matters. Contrary to what the Liberals on the left or Rhinos on the right might lead you to believe it’s not about Donald Trump or even that he is President of the United States.

The issue goes much, much deeper than what you might imagine. To get a true idea one would have to look back on the life of private citizen Donald Trump. For those of not on the east coast or from the New York City lifestyle it’s a non-issue. Many had never heard of Trump, and what we did hear wasn’t impressive.

I mean who cares about the goings on of the rich and famous anyway? Unless you are part of that crowd something called raising family and putting bread on the table take a much higher priority. Like me the military kept me pretty much focused on other things. After the military it was adjusting to civilian life and reacting to the health issues which followed.

Because my kids had grown, married and had children of their own my life took an unexpected turn as I became grandpa and chauffer to the younger generation. Yup McDonalds play area became my focus, along with Happy Meals and walks with the young ones in the local Bear Creek Park.

So I didn’t enjoy Esquire, Star Magazine or the latest business journals to worry about this New York Real Estate Tycoon and Business Executive of the Trump Organization. As we used to say our worlds would never collide, we were in an entirely different universe.

Politics was not my focus either, so I didn’t pay attention to the hob-knobbing of the capitol hill crowd or who was getting their picture taken with “the Donald” or flying around to the latest hot spots.

I could sense that things had changed after 9/11/01 and when President George W. Bush stated that you are either with us or you are against us. America suddenly became patriotic and veterans found ways to contribute as our best and brightest went into the military to fight for America.

I did hear a rumor that the businessman tycoon sent his airplane to help out some of America’s troops who were stranded after coming back from the war. I verified the story a bit later and found out the tycoon was Donald Trump.

If you’ve read any of my previous articles you’ll find that a number of them referenced the beginning of the Trump Resistance Movement happened during the 2015-16 presidential campaign cycle after it became clear that the Republican nominee would be Donald J. Trump.

Without going into great detail I’ll let you in on a little clue. (God told Donald Trump to run for president). In fact Trump called a famous evangelist and told her, then asked for her advice and prayer. This was confirmed through a completely different source when God revealed to a prominent Dallas businessman and instructed him to tell Donald Trump. During a meeting at Trump Tower in 2015 in a room full of pastors and evangels Donald Trump as informed that he would in fact become president. He would not become just another “politician” president but had a specific purpose to fulfill. Donald Trump would become POTUS #45 and God said he would be an “Isaiah 45 President”. He would become a sword against the Spirit of Political Correctness that had taken control in America.

So the Trump Resistance began when God called Donald Trump and Trump said “Here am I Lord”. No don’t get the idea that Trump is some sort of Billy Graham or Pat Robertson who grew up in the church. Trump has been religious all his life and attended church every Sunday and during holidays whenever he could. He had the knowledge of God and the salvation plan, but he had no relationship with God (essential for salvation). The church calls that the “Salvation Knowledge of God”.

It is my opinion that Trump Resistance is in fact a manifestation of resistance to God by the devil who sees this as a way to derail God’s plan from being completed. I am not trying to say this is a biblical interpretation of Trump or America as it relates to the last days or the end times.

I am saying that all throughout the bible we read of insignificant men and women who were called and used by God to accomplish specific goals. Some were good, others not so good but all were available and when they yielded themselves to God, his plan became manifest into reality.

Trump was a self-made man, who was a scrapper, a fighter who loved conflict and didn’t give up easily. His battles were many in his life, his business and with family. He was knocked down many times, but still got back up and overcame these hardships. That was why God chose him. He wouldn’t quit.

You may not like Donald Trump and that’s ok. What’s not to like about him, right? What you must acknowledge is that Trump is like a little yappy dog that pulls at your pant leg and keeps on pulling until you give him what he wanted in the first place, a bone.

Everything Trump promised to do during the campaign has been met with stiff resistance from day one, but he still enjoys victories one after another. Take a moment to google Trump and his faith in God and then select from the results something that is a factual spiritual biography of Trump. There are a couple of books that have been written about Trump and God that make good reading for those desiring an honest and complete look at the life of Donald Trump.

I’ll leave you with these thoughts. When God sends you to do a job, he prepares the way before he sends you, and he has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. There is nothing that can separate us from God’s love or from his purpose for our lives until that purpose is fulfilled.

On the other hand if go off on a tangent but have not been sent by God you will fail miserably and the consequences  can be devastating (Read about the Sons of Skeba in the new testament). – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Pick Your Battles

12-31-2018

Pick Your Battles

As I prepare for the New Year ahead I have decided to look back at the many “crisis” that have hit our nation as the left has waged an all-out war against President Donald Trump for the past 2 years. I have taken each crisis as it came and did my best to be informative, constructive and yes at times satirical as I wanted the reader to see the hypocrisy and pettiness of liberals on the left as well as the Rhinos on the right.

We watched as everyone began calling right wrong and wrong right. Women marched in the streets holding signs demanding the same rights as guns. Too bad they didn’t get their wish because guns have no rights or lefts for that matter.

The spontaneous walkout of students across the nation, and nobody challenged these blatant attempts at manipulation where students were bussed across towns and across the nation and financed by who, all in the name of gun control?

When you thought it couldn’t get any crazier Women’s March organizers gathered women and huge signs and demanded the right to murder their unborn children in the womb, in the name of “A Woman’s Right to Choose an Abortion”. Well women many women have made that choice even though it goes against the 10 Commandments as written in Exodus 20: 2-17 and Deuteronomy 5:5-21, you know the part where we are commanded not to kill (murder).

We’ve see gays marching in the streets parading themselves around as something they are not. Women dressed up as men; men dressed up as women; men and children dressed up as drag queens, all in an attempt to gain acceptance by mainstream America. Let me point back to Exodus and Deuteronomy, where God calls it sin. There are no big sins and little sins, sin is sin. We are admonished not to sin.

We’ve had the “caravan” scare more times than I can count, and all it boils down to are people manipulating other people and facilitating their blatant attack on our nation’s sovereignty by pressing our border so that the USA becomes an open border state. It matters not that many immigrants make the trip north with diseases and illnesses that are highly contagious and even deadly to children (2 from Guatemala have already died at the border), and there is no telling how many may have died on the way.

The attack against President Trump, his administration and even his supporters goes against all sense of normalcy and the laws of our nation. These attacks are carried out by members of Congress (who cannot be prosecuted when they do so during a session of Congress), but many have taken to the streets and instigated their loyal followers to harass, stalk at work, home or in public places and attack, attack, attack.

I haven’t even discussed the sanctuary cities, counties and states with politicians, mayors and governors who instruct their state agencies to disregard US law enforcement requests concerning illegal immigrants who commit crimes against US citizens.

There are many who act like schoolchildren on the playground when someone doesn’t play “fair”. They pout, moan and groan about the President not acting presidential. Well howdy doody, do you know that I didn’t vote for Trump to act presidential. I voted for him because he wasn’t a politician and he promised to do the very things he has been doing for the past 2 years.

That being said, I don’t make “New Year’s Resolutions) as a general rule, but I resolve over the next 24 months to do everything in my power to stand firm against those anti-American attacks on my President Donald Trump. However I will not argue debate or go “tit for tat” with anyone anymore.

I will battle with the truth and with facts; not the CNN’s style “facts” as they are presented nor the fake news media journalistic Hodge- Podge of inaccurate trash of the past. Don’t bring “allegations” or “he said, she said” either.

State your case, include a source (links are acceptable) then move out smartly. I will not be bullied, nor will I be silent. It is my belief that the Congress of the United States has been compromised and has no integrity left. The Schumers, Pelosis, Feinsteins, Bookers and Harris’ have all contributed to this hateful spirit oozing out of the pores of Congress. I have not yet dug into the “caucus” effect, where 535 members of Congress have created 512 Congressional Caucuses and have contributed to the chaos in the halls of Congress. As far as I can tell a caucus is no different than a lobbyist organization, only most caucuses are paid for by US tax dollars. I will begin sorting through each caucus membership and determining exactly how they effectively bully other members of Congress into becoming nothing more than a legislative doormat! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Moving Forward with Reckless Abandon

Moving Forward With Reckless Abandon

While going to the store the day after Christmas we came to a light that changed from green to yellow and then red. We were in the left turn lane and witnessed the most bazaar incident where two kids crossing traffic were within inches of being hit by two cars that ran through the red light completely oblivious to the danger of their actions of moving forward with reckless abandon and it was a miracle that neither child was hit.

Normal reactions range from alarm, relief, dismay and anger (not necessarily in that order), before trying to pin the blame on the drivers for running the red light, or the children who pushed their bikes across the intersection. Who’s at fault?

In the mindset of today (2018) some would say it was the parents fault, because they should have had eyes on their children at all times. Others would blame the auto manufacturers for making cars that could be driven over the posted speed limit. A few would blame the bicycle makers because they made the bikes to attract kids. I’m sure someone would blame the city because the light changed to red (a hindrance to the drivers).

To all I ask, what would you do? Would you roll down the window and yell at the kids? Would you follow the drivers and attempt to get license numbers? Or would you even care?

Politics of today is much like that incident at the intersection. One side is clambering for the wall, the other side is wailing against a stupid wall and some are going about their business and don’t care one way or the other.

Is it futile to argue over the wall, because after all what is the purpose of the wall? Do we complain when we go to a ballgame? They have walls to contain the players and insure the playing field is clear of obstructions. Visitors are seated in the bleachers, behind a wall that separates them from the players to insure their safety. There is a manned entrance where one often pays for and receives a ticket to gain admission. Is there a big fuss when someone tries to gain entrance without a ticket?

What happens when you go to the mall? Can you gain access without going through one of the sets of doors? What happens if the doors are locked and the mall is preparing to shut down for the night? Are there demonstrators demanding entrance because they can?

Let’s discuss border security. What is the purpose of having a closed border, with access points where everyone crossing into or departing from are checked for proper identification and documentation that authorizes them to cross? Prior to the events of 9/11/2001 many countries simply required picture identification for citizens to gain access to certain countries.

For those of us who travel we understand that security is a major concern and US immigration laws require everyone who enters or exits the USA must have a picture ID and a valid passport. We also understand that everyone who enters the USA must proceed through the TSA checkpoint where personal items are checked and everyone receives a body scan.

For those physically crossing the Southern and Northern borders of the US the rules are a bit different in that vehicles are scanned and passengers have their passports checked, and occasionally a detailed inspection is conducted searching for unauthorized passengers, drugs or weapons.

There are serious problems along the Southern border with Mexico. Inadequate or non-existent security fencing, paneling or wall paneling allows for the often times unrestricted access of individuals who possess not identification or documentation to gain entry.

Whether you agree or disagree with having a border wall is irrelevant. It is the responsibility of the Government of the United States of America to secure our borders and to keep our citizens and visitors safe. Building an adequately reinforced border wall is vital to the national security of our nation.

Those who are ill-advised misinformed or simply against a secure border because it has been requested by the President of the United States are prime examples of a people moving forward with reckless abandon. Just like the intersection the consequences of doing nothing are far outweighed by the benefits of building a wall which will reduce or eliminate the flow of illegal drugs coming across the border as well as bring illegal immigration and human trafficking to a halt.

Immigration is not a democrat or a republican “thing” it is vital for the national security of our Constitutional-Republic. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Constitutionalism versus Legalism

12-27-2018

Constitutionalism versus Legalism

Do you ever wonder why Republicans and Conservatives hang everything on the Constitution, yet Democrats and Liberals hang everything on the Law, well sort of?

Time and time again we see President Trump use the powers of the Executive Office, backed up by the Constitution to right a wrong or to protect the citizens of the United States, only to have Democrats or a Liberal Justice of a federal court strike it down, or block the EO from going into effect. Is that crazy or what?

When Trump questions an area that needs to be addressed, he notifies the Legislative leadership and provides detailed problem areas that need to be fixed. Doing this in a public setting, with cameras rolling and journalists in abundance everyone is all smiles as they tippy toe around the bramble bush, waiting for the room to be cleared so that they can get down to the real wheeling and dealing in private, so much for transparency.

While the president tweets, “We had a good meeting” shortly after the meeting has concluded and almost before the doors are unlocked the main stream media has released an in depth article telling all the nasty things the president “allegedly” said.

The first thing the Democrats do is head outside to the press and tell American citizens and the world how they are going to stop the president in his tracks and prevent him from getting his way. They even throw in a “presidential tantrum” or two to emphasize their point.

Take the recent resignation of Defense Secretary Mattis. The White House announced that the Secretary was going to resign effective February 2019 and as the President thanked the Secretary for his honorable and faithful service, the media had published the entire letter online. So President Trump decides to make the resignation official on 1 January 2019 and the speculation blows up.

I’m just surprised that a judicial ruling didn’t spring up saying the President couldn’t do that? After all when Trump blocked an adversarial Twitter follower, there came a court decree that he couldn’t. When Trump had Jim Acosta removed from the White House Press Room, pulled his credentials and had him escorted off the premises, a judicial decree demanded Acosta be reinstated and his credentials returned.

When President Trump issued an Executive Order stemming the flow of immigrants from select countries and geographical areas, as is his power to do, a judicial decree soon popped up blocking it from taking effect.

Conversely when in 2012 President Obama got tired of waiting for Congress to act he issued his unconstitutional Executive Order on DACA and there was no outrage or judicial decree blocking it. Yet in 2017 when President Trump instructed Congress to fix DACA or it would expire naturally and not be renewed. Everyone pitched a fit and a judicial decree soon appeared.

Democrats attempting everything from allowing illegal immigration to gun control and confiscation complain that except for the Constitution they would have already succeeded. They offer “bribes” to low income and minorities in exchange for Democrat votes, but do not hesitate to belittle and shame anyone who dares to stand up against them by calling them stupid, racist and anti-American.

Republicans on the other hand stand on the Constitution as the basis for protecting citizen’s rights against a tyrannical government. They encourage everyone to become familiar with the Constitution and with the Bible which was the basis of its standards. Everyone is encouraged to work hard, save for their retirement and vote according to their personal values and common sense and are called Americans.

Don’t let the insane rantings from the left or the right because you to cause you to do what is wrong because they say it is right. Think about it. – I am The Real Truckmaster!

The Schumer Shut Down Over Funding The Wall

12-22-2018

The Schumer Shut Down Over Funding The Wall

So it has happened, the federal government is officially shut down because a divided Congress disputes the request by President Trump to fully fund the wall along our southern US-Mexico border. That’s just great, isn’t it? Does anyone remember reading something about this in the bible?

Although the subject matter was slavery, in 1858 President Abraham Lincoln gave his “House Divided” http://www.abrahamlincolnonline.org/lincoln/speeches/house.htm speech about the congressional approach to ending slavery referencing Mark 3:25 that sounds very much like the meeting between President Trump, House Speaker-Designate Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Schumer https://www.marketwatch.com/story/transcript-of-the-heated-exchange-between-trump-pelosi-and-schumer-2018-12-11  about virtually ending illegal immigration by funding and building the wall.

Mark 3:25, ESV, “And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.”

Mark 3:25, NLT, “Similarly, a family splintered by feuding will fall apart.”

What’s not hard to figure out is that immigration is what makes the United States what it is, a nation of peoples from across the globe. Yet the problem of unlawful, illegal entry into the country is a plague that invites a myriad of societal issues that if left unchecked can spell the downfall of our nation.

We see how those wanting to come to the United States to work and provide for their families in their home countries are being taken advantage of by coyotes (bandits) for money to skirt around lawful entry points and often left to their own devices in the desert without food, water or shelter. Those who survive are many times severely dehydrated and in need of serious medical treatment. Completing the wall will close that gap and insure that those who enter the country do so in accordance to our immigration laws and current US policy.

National Security without a wall to control immigration in places where it is needed most is not security at all and a Congress not concerned about national security by funding a wall is not a Congress at all either!

We are not a nation of Democrats and Republicans. When we were born it did not state our political affiliation on our birth certificates. We are citizens of and love our nation, the United States of America.

American’s who attempt to tear down our nation from within (citizens, congressmen, media, entertainers or sports super-stars) by their actions have become enemies of our Constitutional Republic and are therefore enemies of the people. Enacting insane and repressive laws, rules or directives that go against the laws of nature (God’s laws) and/or against the Rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States will lead to a rebellion not seen in this nation since the Civil War.

It is time to terminate the “life as normal” by allowing our elected legislators to act out their fantasies in the halls of Congress or in front of media outlets without being held accountable by “We the People” who elected them. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

The Ten Commandments Explained

12-20-2018

The Ten Commandments Explained

Here we are approaching December 25th, 2018 and every day we have quite a few people who are just not in their right mind or thinking clearly. I feel that maybe they just need a little help to understand the biblical perspective of humans living with humans peacefully.

I do realize that without the revelation by the Holy Spirit, the Word of God (the Bible) is seen as just a book. Yet we who are believers, born again by the Holy Spirit of God, and are called by HIS NAME “Christians” understand the one universal truth of Colossians 1: 15 – 18 that God created everything for HIS glory and according to HIS purpose.

Colossians 1:

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or [e]principalities or [f]powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

God gave Moses a series of “Laws for Earthly Living by Man” in the form of Ten Commandments which when violated are seen by God as sin against HIM. In Romans God has declared that sin requires death and that God has provided the free gift of eternal life in the personhood of Jesus.

Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

In the book of John we are told by Paul that Jesus is the payment for the sins of the world and one must personally accept that payment to receive eternal life.

John 3

11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.

12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.

14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,

15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.

21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

That being said, what exactly do the Ten Commandments tell us?

God tells us that our relationship with HIM is most important.

We should not place anything ahead of that relationship with HIM.

We are not to take HIM for granted or misuse HIS name.

We are to rest in HIM on the Sabbath, seventh day.

We are to honor our father and mother.

Do not murder.

Do not commit adultery (sex outside of marriage).

Do not steal.

Do not lie.

Do not want after another or their possessions.

Ten Commandments

Exodus 20: 1 And God spoke all these words, saying:

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of [a]bondage.

3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor [b]serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting[c] the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

13 “You shall not murder.

14 “You shall not commit adultery.

15 “You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

We honor God by being hearers and by being doers of the Word of the Word of God. We place the welfare of others before our own. We treat everyone as we ourselves want to be treated. (Do unto others as we would have them do unto us.) We don’t look down on anyone, because only God is seated that high.

Life is relational, God to Me; Me to You; Us to God (through Christ Jesus). – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Jesus is the Reason

12-17-2018

Jesus is the Reason

I know that many countries and cultures celebrate the commercialization of Christmas without the slightest clue what Christmas is really all about. They all know about Santa, and sport the red suits and red caps, and even a bag full of goodies. To them Christmas is a time of doing good deeds and giving to those less fortunate and/or complete strangers. It’s a feel good time of year.

For others it’s receiving and being grateful for the kind thoughts, gifts and prayers of others during a time when things can be a bit rough. Maybe it’s a hot meal or a warm bed for the night. Christmas has bitter-sweet memories of loved ones who’ve passed on. If you look around you will surely see others less fortunate. There are those on the corner with their sign, hoping for a hand out.

In a perfect world there are sleigh bells ringing, choirs singing and children laughing, as Christmas is in the air. There are Christmas dinners with family and friends with presents galore.

Those who work in retail or food service industries are concerned with customer service and corporations examine the bottom line as profits climb.

The commercialization of Christmas leaves little room for the little babe born in a manger in Bethlehem of long ago. For some it’s a story told and re-told about a couple in search of a room as their child was soon to be born.

Having traveled many long miles and after arriving they found there was no place available, so they went to a stable, a place where animals are fed and bedded down for the night.

It was in that stable that God came down in the form of a baby to redeem mankind from his sins. There were signs in the heavens and wonders on the earth as shepherds and kings were guided to the place where the Son of Man and Son of God was born. His name was Jesus.

For the Christian believer Christmas is a reminder, like a rainbow in the sky, that God loved us so much that he sent his only begotten son that whosever believes will not perish but receive everlasting life, it is a gift that cannot be bought, nor can it be earned. It is a gift from God, so that man cannot boast.  Yes Christmas is a time of remembrance when love came down.

For the non-believer it may be just another holiday where everything’s for sale at a price. They do not know that Almighty God is no respecter of persons. He cares not if you’re rich or poor, whether you live in a huge mansion or a cardboard box shelter, or no shelter at all. God loves you, as he loves me just the same and he doesn’t want or need you to “clean up your act first”. He loves you just the way you are.

As Christmas is fast approaching, what a wonderful present God has given you, the forgiveness of sin and the gift of eternal life. It is up to you, will you accept this precious gift?

There is no magic ritual or special words to say.

Just recognize that you need Jesus in your life.

That you can’t continue on your own.

Ask God to forgive you and to save you from the penalty of sin.

Ask God to fill you with his spirit.

Thank him for saving you.

Ask for his guidance in your life.

Then turn away from your sin, seek God with all of your heart, mind and soul.

Seek out a bible believing church that teaches the virgin birth of Jesus, his sinless life on earth, his death on the cross as payment for our sin, and his resurrection 3 days later and his sitting on the throne at the right hand of God the Father, as an intercessor for us.

You Don’t Need to be a Rocket Scientist

12-14-2018

You Don’t Need to be a Rocket Scientist

“Experts have said you don’t need a wall to have border security!” said Senator Chuck Schumer at a recent meeting with House Majority Leader-Elect Nancy Pelosi and President Donald Trump at the White House.

Representative Pelosi said the wall was too expensive and ineffective and that Americans wanted to keep the government open instead of building a wall.

Other Congressional Democrats like Kamala Harris have said the wall is wasteful and ineffective.

President Trump said he will shut down the government if he doesn’t get full funding of the wall.

In light of the huge financial burden an estimated ($134.9B) posed on American taxpayers at federal, state and local levels to support illegal aliens the projected cost $5B to build a wall is a more reasonable solution. The cost would be reduced considerably if the wall was constructed in certain areas by DOD military engineer units and personnel with the training and basic understanding of construction technics coupled historically with combat construction experience in places around the world where time is of the essence and failure is not an option.

Americans have repeatedly asked for a better, bigger, stronger wall along the US Southern border with Mexico. A wall that will stop unlawful entry, stem the flow of drugs, human traffickers and terrorists.

I suspect that a wall with tunnel prevention measures and one wide enough for border patrol team coverage areas could cut the unlawful entry 100% once completed and would end up costing much less than the projected $5B price tag.

No I don’t think one has to be a rocket scientist to know that the effectiveness of the wall is a vital national security concern. On the other hand if one is a liberal Congressional Democrat with political ambitions of staying in office you might be able to convince the ignorant and misinformed snowflakes on the very, very far left that the globe is heating up substantially (probably where all the feet are rushing to get to America). Border Security Order versus Disorder

12-12-2018

Border Security Order versus Disorder

Imagine going on a long voyage to a far away and distant land where everything is an unknown to you. You plan everything out so that this trip will be successful. You obtain brochures detailing the many wonders you may encounter along the way. You want to know if the climate is hot or cold so that you will pack the right clothes. Will you be walking along the beach or in the mountains? Will you need sandals, slippers, flip flops or hiking boots you want to be comfortable?

How do you begin the next phase? Do you locate a travel agency? Look it up online? Ask a friend who recently returned from a similar excursion? Or do you ascertain the costs associated with this trip and begin saving up? There are so many variables.

Several times in my own life I have gotten on an airplane with nothing more than my bags and a document telling me where I am supposed to go. I have had barely more than a few dollars in my pocket and no idea where I’m going to end up along the way. Usually I need a valid passport and on occasion a visa along with my airline ticket and/or travel authorization. On the day of departure I head to the airport and check in at the airline counter.

Gone are the days before 9/11 when travel was made simple. Now its check in, obtain a boarding pass and head for the TSA security inspection. After verifying my picture identification and boarding pass I’m ushered through the security scan and baggage check. Assuming I’m not found to be a security risk I’m cleared to wait in the waiting area until it’s time to board the flight.

When it’s time to board the aircraft once again I’m showing my boarding pass and/or photo identification or passport (when required). Then it’s onto the plane by boarding class and/or seat assignments. Once my seat has been located I store my carryon baggage in the overhead storage or under my seat before settling down in my seat, fasten my seat belt and wait for the doors to close and the aircraft backed away from the terminal.

Usually the taxiing is out to the runway and takeoff is fairly quick. The aircraft races down the runway and lifts softly into the air and silently up into the clouds and we’re officially airborne.

Depending upon the destination it could take from a few hours to 10 hours or more. Often there are at least one airplane change enroute. Changing planes is similar to the initial boarding process once the plane touches down and pulls up to the terminal. Waiting is often to offload people retrieving their overhead luggage and line up to exit the aircraft and into the terminal, looking for the departure gate for the next leg of the trip.

Sometimes it’s a mad dash to the other end of the terminal. Finding the proper gate, it becomes a waiting game for check in, then waiting to load. Once the loading is announced the same procedure is used to get back on the next flight. The process is repeated until reaching the destination.

If the destination is another country there are customs and entry papers to complete before the plane lands. Once inside the terminal there is usually a passport control section, a baggage claim area, then a customs point before looking for contact people or transportation to a previously selected hotel.

When on vacation its best to contract a reputable company with a tour guide who knows the area. The guide can insure the trip is relaxing, comfortable and that timetables are met and suitable activities occur without fear or discomfort. At the end of the trip the same procedures are followed to insure that you are back on the aircraft and headed back home.

Returning to the US is often uneventful. Passport, customs declaration and picture ID are checked, bags inspected (if deemed necessary), before catching connecting flights and returning back home. Long overseas flights and extended stays are often taxing due to the time zones and flight times, many times in excess of 27 hours or more (one way).

Now for a quiz: How do you think the trip would have gone (if at all) had you went to the travel agency demanding that you fly for free, or that they pay you to go on the trip? It is likely that you would never have gotten past the agent’s desk without being asked to leave.

Or what if you had gotten to the airport and at check in you demanded to be placed in first class with only a coach ticket? Chances are you would not have even gotten on the airplane.

But assuming you made it to a foreign country and you walked up to the passport control and bucked the line (went around everyone) to the front of the line and demanded to be allowed in? What if you lost your passport enroute? Chances are you would be taken to a holding cell and after extensive grilling by local authorities, either locked up indefinitely or boarded on a return flight back home (if you’re lucky).

So why do you think anyone with any common sense would come to a US embassy or consulate and demand to be let in to the US or be paid$50,000 per person to go home? Who would put that kind of insane idea into the heads of immigrants traveling through Mexico? And why is there media reporters and photographers accompanying these migrants in their quest for publicity?

US immigration law states that an immigrant who assists another immigrant to gain unlawful entry into the US is violating the law, as is the immigrant who gains unlawful entry. They both can be permanently banned from gaining lawful immigration status in the future. The law also says that a US citizen who helps an immigrant skirt around US immigration laws can be prosecuted as well.

What is even more disturbing is when US legislators publicly criticize enforcement of US laws and encourage unlawful entry or resist or block improving or increasing border security instead of going into a session of Congress and re-write/correct erroneous immigration laws.

Anyone who thinks border security is not necessary or that a physical wall is wasteful of taxpayer funds, while willingly funding illegal immigrants who have unlawfully breached the sovereignty of the United States should simply resign their elected office and go back home in disgrace.

It is time that American’s speak up and take action through the ballot box, recall petitions and other constitutional means to return national security as a top priority in the United States. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
