COPING

 

During the last four or five years I’ve had a number of people close to me suddenly cross-over, die, or pass away (pick one). I’ve seen it all, or so I thought. Suicide or natural death they are still gone. Some have been family members (close and distant), while others have been friends I’ve known my entire life, or close friends who are here today and gone tomorrow. The saying that no one’s an island is perfectly true. We may think we deal best when we are alone, but that’s not how we were created.

 

I don’t think I’ve let myself grieve for any of those I’ve lost. I mean they’re not really lost, they either went up or down and at times the choice rests with those who couldn’t deal with life and chose a way out that is not really out of anything.

 

Some went gradually through the process and disease of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Those were the hardest to deal with and see them virtually and gradually losing a grip on the world as we knew it. The final weeks and months seemed to drag by, but in hindsight were not quite long enough.

 

At mom’s funeral I found myself with no words to say. For once I was speechless and for those who know me it’s not normal. I usually have something to say about everything and I’m not afraid to give my opinion at the drop of a hat. More recently at dad’s funeral I was like the host, guiding the service along and basking in the memories from times gone by. When I’d pop in at the Veterans Home I’d often tell the nurses and staff that he’s my brother. Our glasses were the easy way to tell us apart (accept he was a bit older than me if they took the time to see). I’ve had aunts, uncles and cousins passing in different states and I guess that’s to be expected as death is a part of life.

 

I can’t forget the phone calls, the first one from a friend who came home from work and found her husband’s body. The two miles took me almost no time and I ended up following local fire and rescue to the house. I didn’t go inside, but watched from the driveway as they brought him out. It’s not real unless you get closure. Closure came at the funeral home in his home town, the church service and burial. That’s when it really sunk in he was gone. The second call was from a detective asking if I knew the deceased. Not giving the cause of death, just my business card was on his computer desk and no family info. I had to go through possessions, return a recently purchased car to the bank and arrange for the body to be buried at the national cemetery in Denver, just so surreal. Another was about a high school buddy who passed away back home and his wife called to let me know. The most recent was yesterday and I’m not sure I’m handling it very well. A friend whom I had talked to infrequently the past couple of months and the call said she passed at home. There have been others that I have come to know over the years and some through online veterans groups with an exchange of emails, pictures and an occasional chat session and then nothing.

 

There’s really nobody to sit down and talk to about them when after it happens. My military training has me compartmentalize things, people and places once they are no longer around or in my life until we reconnect at a reunion, along the freeway at a truck stop or during an unexpected surprise visit.

 

They say that it’s normal to talk to yourself and I do that a lot now days. They also say when you start answering yourself it’s time to go see a doctor or something. I don’t really believe that because I’m pushing 70 this year and I see my doctor(s) at fairly regular intervals.

 

The kids are all grown and have kids and grandkids of their own, yet they call or pop in just to see if my blood pressure is normal. They know what buttons to push if the BP needs elevated.

 

The wife is working still and her little old ladies and their hair keep her hopping like crazy and she has an occasional customer who passes away and she’s coping with them.

 

The one I can always count on under all circumstances is God. Maybe I haven’t made the best use of calling out to him like I should, but I know that he hears me when I call. I know that because he hears me he answers my requests, sometimes with a funny twist. His answers are not always what I ask for or when I want it, but it is always at the right time and according to his purpose and schedule for my life. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Putting the Cart Before the Horse

 

Remember the sayings – Don’t count your chickens before they hatch; don’t spend what you don’t have; don’t burn the bridge behind you; or don’t bite the hand that feeds you? Well there’s another one that would fit right in with those, don’t accuse others of what you are guilty of – it might come back to bite you.

 

We’ve heard from the deep state actors who are part of the Washington DC swamp that Donald Trump is not fit to serve as President or any public office for that matter. We constantly hear it from the likes of Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Shuck Schumer, Diane Feinstein, Maxine Waters, Elijah Cummings and many others who claim to be intellectually superior not only to Donald Trump but every one of his supporters who Hillary so aptly called a “bucket of deplorables”. From the sidelines and surfacing on the world stage are the likes of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John Kerry, Al Gore who are each past their prime in politics and have been rendered of no consequence because at the end of the day Donald Trump is still our president and theirs too.

 

I imagine the rise of Donald Trump to that of Tom Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible from that undisclosed location when Trump got a call not from Mr. Phelps but from above, “Your mission should you choose to accept it is to be my wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness and to restrain evil in the world” (loosely paraphrased by me).

 

The pivotal point not only in the life of Donald Trump, but in the history of the world came when he (a sinner) accepted that assignment not because of anything that he had done by his own merit but by the grace of Almighty God answering earnest prayer from prayer warriors who fell on their faces before God seeking divine intervention for America.

 

Biblical scholars and bible readers alike cannot overlook the way God has historically taken men who are seemingly insignificant and unworthy to accomplish his purposes. In each case worldly men have scoffed at, heckled and ridiculed those chosen by God for a specific purpose. The bible tells us that God’s ways are higher than the ways of man and that our brains cannot contain what God has in store for us.

 

It should come as no surprise when the counter response was instantaneous and total as the forces of darkness came against first the political campaign and second the presidency of Donald Trump from the start. What is equally no surprise is the man whom God chose is one who is not easily distracted or swayed.

 

In that God is the creator with an unlimited and infinite toolbox from which to choose why are we surprised that God chose an established builder and gave him the tools with which to restrain evil and bring about the self-destruction of the spirit of political correctness in America.

 

Talk about putting the cart before the horse the liberal left in American politics began declaring the unfitness of a “self-made” man to be President of the United States. So loudly did they declare this untruth that it exposed them for what they really were – unfit themselves for the political offices they held and using all the tools at their disposal they began a constant barrage against the will of the people, the American voters who chose Donald Trump, but against the seemingly unseen hand of Almighty God. It is no surprise that they failed even before they began, yet they keep trying while digging a deeper hole for themselves.

 

I’m not saying that Donald Trump is a perfect man, because only one was perfect and that was Jesus who was the Christ, Son of Man and Son of God. What I am saying is that Donald Trump is the perfect man for THIS job and at THIS time as President of the United States of America.

 

Political Correctness has attacked the pillars and the very foundation of this nation which God established and for HIS purpose. Never before or since has a nation been founded upon biblical principles as stated in the US Constitution. Our form of government has never been duplicated nor had the success of that of the United States.

 

There are several hundreds of nations in existence in the world today. Each one is governed by those who seek personal gain and profit by exerting power over people. There is constant infighting and bloodshed and life is of no consequence or value. Transitioning between national leaders is often done with extreme bloodshed. Human misery and suffering are great and unbearable.

 

We have come to a point in the history of the United States where government is corrupt. Those on the left are running wild and flaunting every fantasy imaginable from ignoring the sanctity of life, aborting humans every minute of every day with the greatest of ease to the willful enslavement of entire segments of society by offering free food, housing, medical, education and even paying for those unwilling to work. Minorities are consider below the level of competent thought processes and expected to use the power of their vote to enhance those in political power over them.

 

There are those on the political right who haven’t the courage or intestinal fortitude to stand up to those powerful forces of evil or secure in their Christian salvation to acknowledge and call on the forces of God to defeat the ungodly. It is not by might or by power but by my Spirit says the Lord of Hosts!

 

Just as prayer warriors fell on their faces seeking divine intervention, we must also continue to trust in Almighty God for HIS peace which passes all understanding. We must depend upon God and his strength to overpower the enemy. This is a battle for the soul of America.

 

God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of joy, peace and a sound mind. God did not raise up a Billy Graham-style leader in President Trump whose shoot from the hip and straight to the heart of the matter without mincing words language does not at all seem biblical. What God did give America was a man to was obedient when called and had striven to complete the task he has been given. I have said it before and I’ll say it again now, that when Donald J. Trump is in the perfect will of God, doing what he has been sent to do there is nothing that can stop him.

 

Draining the swamp was more than a campaign slogan to Donald Trump, it is a mission that will be tackled with until the hold of political correctness has been broken in America and evil has been restrained. Based upon the past 2+years it is foreseeable that it may take more than 2 more years and that’s fine because with God all things are possible. What came first the chicken or the egg? – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Dismantling The Deep State Continues

 

The completion of the Mueller Investigation dubbed “RUSSIAGATE” is not a reason to relax. Nor is it a time for overt celebration, America is in real crisis.  Entrenched members of the Deep State have been so brazen and complacently manufacturing one crisis after another for almost 3 years in their attempt to first prevent, and then attempt the removal of the President of the United States. Those actions in themselves are treasonous, yet the players saw themselves as being above the law and therefore invincible.

 

Armed with a vision for America, the determination and the experience to bring it to fruition and the mandate from above, President Donald Trump has accomplished impossible feats of statesmanship and leadership while battling the Deep State at home. Calling it like he sees it and pulling no punches he fearlessly and relentlessly labeled the Russian Collusion Delusion a “Witch Hunt” of unimaginable proportions.

 

Now vindicated by the AG’s summary of the Mueller Investigation it may now be time to begin going after real conspirators with foreign state actors and former US officials who conducted “Pay for Play” transactions while pocketing huge sums of money and at the expense of the national security of the United States.

 

There is a saying in the military and in government that even the appearance of misconduct will not be tolerated. Trading state secrets and national assets to foreign powers has never been condoned or openly accepted until the 8 years of the Obama Administration. It also makes me wonder about the 8 years of the Obama Senatorial terms? What nefarious dealings may have occurred during his tenure as a member of the Congressional Black Caucus which has become deeply ingrained within both Chambers of Congress? The political intrigue deep within the halls of Congress could make James Bond of 007 fame look like a choir boy as many of the deep state actors began surfacing and vocalizing their hatred of the sitting President of the United States – Donald J. Trump.

 

It is not the time for resting on our laurels. It is the time for a serious administration of government that leads to the safety and security of the citizens of the United States and conducting real investigations into the misdeeds of former officials within Barack Obama’s administration that have led to the deaths of thousands of individuals worldwide and to the massive influx of individuals with ties to terrorist ideology and organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS and other terrorist sects. It is mind-boggling the extent of the deep state and I’m fearful that the surface has barely been scratched.

 

One thing to note when we humble ourselves before Almighty God, repent of our individual and collective sin against God and his commandments and we pray asking for Divine guidance and forgiveness it will not be man who brings deliverance. God has promised to walk through the valley of the shadow of death with us and it is God alone who will be our savior as a nation and as individuals submitting our will to His. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

What Are You Known For?

 

People are judging you by the car you drive, the words you say, the way you dress and the way you carry yourself.

 

If that is true that you are being judged by the clothes you wear, what do people see when they see you? It’s been said that there’s no way to erase a first impression. Oh a judge can order the jurors to disregard that last comment and tell the stenographer to strike that last remark. But the damage has already been done. The same is true with the clothes we wear. If I’m lounging around in the comfort of my home, I might don shorts, a t-shirt and some flip flops. I’m not bothered by people seeing me. If I’m going to mow the lawn I will put on some shoes (don’t want to lose my flip flops under the mower).

 

Sometimes is fun to go to “Wally World”, grab a cup of coffee and find a nice comfortable seat and watch people. One day I thought I was dreaming because I was walking the isle and almost got run over by a tiny little old lady in her housecoat (robe), her hair in curlers and wearing those fuzzy slippers.

 

Another time I watched as people strolled through the store with their pet, leashed or unleashed unless it’s clearly labeled as a handicap assist pet and I’m not in Pet Smart it’s not appropriate. When the dog needs to relieve itself does someone need to step in something before it gets cleaned up, the owners are not even thinking of others. Sometimes the pet is in a shopping cart, but that’s not cool either, what about the next customer grabbing that cart and having something dripping onto their clothes or worse?

 

It’s even fun to watch people in church. You can see who’s a huge sports fan or what superhero is their favorite even what farm implement they prefer, just by their attire. I like to kid and one time I referred to Barry as Batman and he just didn’t get it? Another time I greeted Bill as John Deere well he got it and broke out with that huge grin.  Sometimes you need a “system” for remembering people’s names and I like hats.

 

I was traveling through the airport one time and I took all the stuff out of my pockets, put it in the bin and took off my belt, shoes and even placed my Veterans hat in the bin too. The TSA agent stopped me and said “Put that had back on!” He said it rather forcefully and followed up with, “You’re a Veteran and you should be proud of that hat!” I told him I was a Veteran and very proud of that hat but I can’t run like I used to and didn’t want him trying to tackle me for not giving up the hat first.

 

While in the military I’d gotten stationed in a variety of foreign countries. Sometimes I would to look for a t-shirt with foreign writing on it to sort of validate my having been there. In Japan I saw t-shirts in a department store in Yokohama that had sayings in English. One of the comical ones said “PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD” in perfect English. I wondered if they even knew what it meant or cared?

 

You have to be careful because without knowing the other host country’s language you could be embarrassed by wearing a shirt that said something like, “I’m proud to be a moron” or much worse as a mistranslation can be really cruel.

 

Things in America have really taken a turn for the worse because of a catchy red hat and four simple letters “MAGA”. It’s not what the letters stand for, but who coined the MAGA and adopted a red hat as the vehicle, yet red is not the only color it comes in either. Those who either don’t have one or don’t have the guts to wear it if they had it are the first ones to harass the wearer and conduct themselves in often most despicable ways.

 

The bible gives up clear guidance as this verse in the Gospel of John where Jesus said “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35 English Standard Version (ESV)

 

Does it matter what kind of car you drive or if you even have a car? What about your clothes? Do the words you speak and the way you carry yourself show Jesus to others or do others just see you instead?

To Which Kingdom Do You Belong?

 

 

I’ve been awake about an hour unable to go back to sleep. I decided to check my email and to my surprise I have only one email from The Pocket Testament League (www.ptl.org), a ministry that offers daily emails called Pocket Devotions. These are scriptural topics with tidbits to think about as well as internal questions designed to keep your focus upon what the Word of God instructs us to do.

Today’s topic is “To Which Kingdom Do You Belong” and the following scripture verse:

 

Ephesians 4:29

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

 

This hit home to me as I have been blogging for about a year and attempting to use my blogs to enlighten and inform readers on issues of personal, political and spiritual issues. Often I have become cynical, voicing my complaints, criticisms, throwing into the mix a bit of gossip and fault finding.

 

This has sort of become my writing style and until I received this devotional for today I never considered what I was doing was not pleasing to God. I did feel it was my God-given right.

 

The Questions to Ponder really hit home and made me realize the error of my ways.

 

What does your speech say about your residency? Do you belong to the kingdom of darkness or the kingdom of light? Are your words spoken to build others up according to their needs? Do those who hear you benefit by listening?

 

Four simple questions that apply to my writing as speech where I have often inserted scripture with personal opinion and lambasting others whom I felt were wrong or had wronged others. WOW! I just slapped myself in the face with my own self-righteousness. This brings me back to one of my recent writings entitled “Anger Without Sin” where I referenced another Pocket Devotional article.

 

We are created in the image of God. That’s what the Word of God tells us. We struggle daily to think with the mind of God, but because we are simply unable to comprehend or fathom beyond the surface of the wisdom of God we fail miserably.

 

My personal challenge moving forward will be to write about or choose subject matter that builds up others according to their needs. I want my writings to benefit the reader, without focusing or drawing attention upon myself. For me that will be difficult, unless I let the Spirit of God flow through my writings so that others see God the Father instead of me. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Anger without Sin

 

Look around at current events through the lens of “Godly Eyes” and what do you see? The world has seemingly gone amok!

 

The killing of the innocent is lauded as a woman’s right to choose. Sorry but that is not a guarantee under the Constitution or the laws of God. There is no such thing as anyone’s right to murder another. Murder is illegal and God calls it for what it is Sin.

 

Our nation has preached tolerance for so long that tolerance is no longer tolerated. How’s that for you oxy-morons? We are told to tolerate the intolerable, accept the unacceptable. Failure to lower our own personal standards places us in the same category as the scum of the earth.

 

Let me clue you in on something, we are born into a fallen sinful world which makes everyone the scum of the earth. There is not one thing that we can do to lift ourselves out of this scum; Nothing.

 

We are told by the Word of God (Jesus) to trust in God with all of our heart, mind and soul. Our body is not our own, it is the temple of the living God. We are to search everything as to whether it matches up with what God calls good. We are to run away from evil.

 

To the Christian believer sin is sin and not to be tolerated or partaken of. We are no longer of this world, but have been set free from the bondage of sin by the Blood of Jesus. It is not what we deserve for the wages of sin is death. God is the Creator of all and the giver of life to every living creature, animals, birds, fish and plants and all mankind. There can be no life without God and spiritual death is separation from God for eternity.

 

The choice is ours to make. Continue in our life of sin or ask God to forgive us? Choosing God leads to life any other choice leads to a spiritual death with separation from God eternally.

 

I’m not some holier-than-thou or a more-perfect human being. I’m simply one who gets caught up in the daily onslaught of human interaction and while using the faculties and emotions created in my by God tend to lose sight of the “end game” at times.

 

I am less tolerant of the stupidity of mankind and become impatient when it comes to anyone forcefully trying to peddle sin as truth, justice and the American way. It just doesn’t wash with me.

 

Our nation was founded on the Christian principles of the Bible. Our Constitution is the law of the land and based on the premise that the laws of God are surpreme.

 

When we as a people turn our backs on Almighty God who created us, we are simply thumbing our noses up at God declaring him irrelevant and that is dangerously ignorant on our part for it is God alone who can save us.

 

What we see today are people looking to governments or men for salvation. They will reap what they sow. Government is the compromise of men and women who bicker amongst themselves about how to do what is “best” for their people. God is the only answer. Until God becomes the center of human life and existence all paths lead to certain destruction.

 

Only God can rise up a leader who allows the voice of the Almighty to direct his paths and bring his people out of the wilderness. As he has done in “biblical” days of old, God searches the heart of a man requiring only availability. Often it is the most unlikely or undesirable whom God chooses and it is my firm belief that President Donald J. Trump is that man. The accomplishments we see are more than coincidence or charisma they are acts by God to show his love to us. So long as a man walks in obedient faith, God promises to prepare the way and walk beside him. The impossible become possible when God is the center of it all. We are told that God’s ways are not man’s ways and we cannot fathom or understand the reasoning of God’s plan. To the unsaved mind it seems like folly while to the believer nothing is impossible with God.

 

Our nation and the world are at a historical crossroad. Nations crumble while corrupt leaders prosper. The poor become poorer while the rich become richer and life is not fair. Yet God brings the rain on the rich and the poor alike.

 

The idea of political correctness is a curse to weaken and bring down the will of a people. It pits man against man, family against family and people against people until there is nothing left but hatred and anger. That is why we are told to be angry but sin not.

 

Here are three bible verses which instruct us to be angry but sin not.

 

Psalm 97:10: “Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.”

Proverbs 8:13: “To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.”

Amos 5:15: “Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the Lord God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.”

 

Mark 3:5 – When Jesus looked around at the arrogance of man he became angry and spoke to the man to stretch out his hand and Jesus healed him. Jesus directed his anger at sin, not at the people whom he would soon die to deliver from their sin.

 

We strive to be like Jesus. We are to hate sin, not people. Sin cannot be legislated to become acceptable when God has declared it as sin. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Where is Your Allegiance?

 

Serious questions demand serious answers, “Where is your allegiance”; “For whom would you lay down your life”?

 

As a Christian my allegiance is to God who made everything and chose me to be his. It is God who said trust me and I will carry you the trials and tribulations of life. Yet it is I who say, “Yes Lord I trust in you”. The choice is mine. The bible tells us that death is not to be feared and to be absent from the body is to be present with God.

 

We often teach our children in Sunday school to recite a pledge to the Christian Flag so they understand where their allegiance is.

 

“I pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag and to the Savior for whose Kingdom it stands. One Savior, crucified, risen, and coming again with life and liberty to all who believe.”

 

In our schools we teach our children to recite the Pledge of Allegiance so they understand the concept of our nation and its relationship to Almighty God and to each other.

 

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

 

We should not take any oath lightly because they are not just a pledge or promise to either a king or to God. An oath is a vow or specific promise or pledge to act or behave in a specific manner. When you can take an oath of office to promise to perform your duty to the best of your ability, taking that oath or vow requires that promise must be fulfilled. In order for someone to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States, that question is dealt with at Armed Forces Induction Centers across the nation when successful candidates for military service are sworn in and take the oath of enlistment.

 

Oath of Enlistment

 

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

(Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962)

 

While serving in the Armed Forces it is during the initial basic training that soldiers are taught to learn and abide by the Code of Conduct.

 

 

The Code of the U.S. Fighting Force

The Code of the U.S. Fighting Force is a code of conduct that is an ethics guide and a United States Department of Defense directive consisting of six articles to members of the United States Armed Forces, addressing how they should act in combat when they must evade capture, resist while a prisoner or escape from the enemy.

 

Articles of Code of Conduct

 

The Code of Conduct provides guidance for the behavior and actions of members of the Armed Forces of the United States. This guidance applies not only on the battlefield, but also in the event that the service member is captured and becomes a prisoner of war (POW). The Code is delineated in six articles.

 

Article I:

I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

 

Article II:

I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.

 

Article III:

If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.

 

Article IV:

If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.

 

Article V:

When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.

 

Article VI:

I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.

 

It is very important to learn this code of conduct in the event a soldier is taken as a prisoner of war by the enemy.

 

What we tend to overlook is what oath do new citizens take after passing their citizenship tests? Do they simply raise their right hand and say, “I do”? I don’t think so. Unless you have been there or have a loved one come from another country to the United States and complete the process of becoming a citizen you don’t really know?

 

New citizens must take a Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America in order to complete the citizenship process.

“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.”

 

Note: In certain circumstances there can be a modification or waiver of the Oath of Allegiance. Read Chapter 5 of A Guide to Naturalization for more information.

 

The principles embodied in the Oath are codified in Section 337(a) in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), which provides that all applicants shall take an oath that incorporates the substance of the following:

Support the Constitution;

Renounce and abjure absolutely and entirely all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which the applicant was before a subject or citizen;

Support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic;

Bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and

  1. Bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; or
    B. Perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; or
    C. Perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law.

 

The language of the current Oath is found in the Code of Federal Regulations Section 337.1 and is closely based upon the statutory elements in Section 337(a) of the INA.

Five Hundred Thirty Five to One

 

There ought to be a movie about modern day Congress and President that highlights the epic saga of what amounts to a modern day coup d’etat orchestrated by the previous administration’s FBI senior staff and members of Congress.

 

What began as a politically financed stunt against a political opponent took on a life of its own at the expense of US taxpayers while tarnishing the reputation of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This became a travesty of justice against a sitting President and a huge hoax on the American public. The scope of deceit is of a magnitude never before seen in the United States and is nothing short of the nationwide wholesale peddling of “snake oil” akin to the frontier days in the American Wild, Wild West.

 

The sayings that absolute power corrupts absolutely and a people who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it ring true once more.

 

The intent of the founding fathers as it pertains to elected congressional officials was to have citizen-legislators who would be elected to represent the citizen who voted for them. They would go to Washington and represent the will of the people. Upon expiration of their term, return home and resume their personal lives as private citizens having made America a better place for having served.

 

Instead Congress has become a career choice, reelection the priority with greed, power and financial gain a byproduct. America has not become a better place, but rather a cash cow to be milked dry. Members of Congress have often placed themselves above the law. The lawmakers have become the lawbreakers never to be held accountable.  Rather than submit legislators have betrayed that sacred trust and overridden the will of the people. Instead of changing US laws when flaws become apparent, legislators simply ignore them. Not willing to abide by the rule of law, it is ignored all together.

 

Modern day Congress sees itself in an adversarial relationship with the President and relies on the Supreme Court to act as a sort of playground monitor. They have forgotten the role of government is to govern.

 

Legislative Branch legislates;

 

Executive Branch enforces;

 

Judicial Branch rules based upon Constitutional mandates.

 

There is no room in governing for personal feuds, playground bickering or street justice. Elected officials are not superior to, but dependent upon citizens who expect their will to be carried out. The United States Government is responsible for the safety of and is responsible to its citizens. We have seen the audacity of a government who feel its citizens are not capable of self-governance. Provisions in the Constitution provide for the removal of an unresponsive government and the creation of a new one, when its citizens feel it is warranted.

 

We are at a critical point in the history of this nation where the driving force for change is Political Correctness that attempts to force into extinction the only Constitutional-Republic the world has ever seen. The corruption that has taken hold of many facets of our government threatens our very way of life. I am reminded of the story in the bible where it appeared the entire “Army of God” stood in fear of a giant named Goliath. As he stood taunting a young boy, David chose a single pebble, loaded his slingshot and felled the giant. David then used the giants own sword to cut off his head.

 

America has been under attack for quite some time and it appeared that as fearful as it was, nobody knew what to do about it. Christians across this nation fell to their knees in prayer asking God to have mercy on our nation and deliver us from evil. God heard our many prayers and he answered in a way nobody saw coming. They weren’t answered overnight but in the timing and choosing of God.

 

Today America has the giant of Political Correctness which threaten the very life of our nation. One must be careful what to do, say or even think for fear of being sued, threatened or imprisoned. Many of our legislators are furthering the PC cause by legislating it into the fabric of our nation in an attempt to effect changes of global proportions.

 

God has reached into his vast and unlimited resources to call forth a man of experience and determination and will to fight the battle and defeat the giant of Political Correctness. The man God has called knows well what it takes to win, because to him winning isn’t just everything, it’s the only thing.

 

When God called Donald Trump answered and given a mandate from God the battle for the very soul of America began and although the giant has not yet fallen, it has been defeated. Regardless of political persuasion or ethnicity the time is now for Christians to fall down on their knees to pray over America. Pray for our nation, our leaders and for our enemies. We pray for wisdom from God and the strength to become victorious so that God will set our nation free. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

The Only Constant in Life is Change

 

In the Old Testament of the Bible is the book of Ecclesiastes which places everything into a perspective that everything that is, has been before and will be again. The theme of this book is centered on a time for everything.

 

Ecclesiastes

 

1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

9 What do workers gain from their toil?

10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race.

22 So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?

 

In the 1960’s popular artists were turning out songs, like the Byrds rendition of “To Everything There is a Season” and even a poem by Ivy Schex with the same title.

Why is it such that man continually tries to reinvent the “wheel” (wheel is representative of what we call progress). We often say someone has invented a better mouse trap. When in reality scientific principles are repeated over and over in slightly different applications and are called cycles. That is why it’s important to study the history of mankind, take a look at its successes and study its failures in order to avoid the pitfalls of the past.

 

What we see happening before our very eyes are people so full of their own self-righteousness and wisdom that they are literally tripping over their own tongues. It’s as if they no know when to stop talking. It’s a mystery to most people unless you look at it from a biblical point of view.

 

Ephesians 4:18, “They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.”

 

Our society would have us to believe that wrong is right and right is wrong and anyone who disagrees with them is mentally challenged. They would even call God into account though they have not the power to do so. They think more highly of themselves than they should.

 

They fail to realize that under God, All men are created equal, with the same ability to do great things, yet they chose to follow the leader under someone who possesses great oratory skills, much like the Anderson Fairy Tale of the Pied Piper. So great are their skills that people are mesmerized to the point of believing all that flows from those golden tongued devils.

 

Galatians 6:7, “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”

 

We see all around us the murders, the robberies, the violence perpetuated against others who don’t share the same belief or thinking. Today it is commonplace to take the life of the unborn from inside the mother’s womb, while demonstrating for a Woman’s Right to Choose and ignoring the Child’s Right to Birth. We applaud the ignorance of others and ignore the wisdom of Almighty God.

 

Have you thought about life ever after? Will it be a life patterned after the world we live in? Will it be a world without good, which is a world without God? I dare say that the events unfolding today are nothing in comparison to an eternity without God. An eternity without God is not life at all, it is a physical hell where good does not exist because without God there can be no good.

 

God’s will is not for anyone to be cast down into the pit of fire. It is by choice that man ends up there by rejecting the Love of God. Jesus came to pay a ransom for our sin because the wages of sin is death.

 

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

 

Salvation by any other name but Jesus is not salvation at all. There is no other name under Heaven or on Earth whereby man must be saved, except by the name of Jesus.

 

Don’t be swayed this way and that way but stay rooted in the Word of God and seek him with all of your heart, mind and soul. It’s been said that a man who stands for nothing will fall for anything.

 

What are you standing for? To be called a fool for Christ is an honor.

To just be called a fool is a revelation of who you are in the standings of the world.

Nothing Social about Democratic Socialism

 

The rise of platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and other online social networks have given new meaning to the term “Social” and thus new life to Socialism in America.

 

For years Communist and Socialist ideologies have led to the failed regimes around the world in places like Cambodia, China, Cuba, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Laos, Myanmar (Burma), Russia, Venezuela and Vietnam. Pick any one and you see the same results, people without dignity, food, and hope of a better future.

 

There are very few documentaries from inside these societies to show the outside world what is really happening to everyday people stuck in a virtual vortex of despair and hopelessness. What we see are mostly state approved video snapshots showing happy, healthy and educated masses in an attempt by the authoritarian dictators to maintain power and control over their citizens.

 

In recent years American politics have produced home grown Democratic Socialists like Senator Bernie Sanders and more recently Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez the champion of the Green New Deal.

 

What exactly is Democratic Socialism in American Politics?

 

  1. Democratic Socialism is a political movement advocating a gradual and peaceful transition from capitalism to socialism by democratic means.
  2. A Democratic welfare state that incorporates both capitalist and socialist practices.

It refers to a system of social organization in which private property and the distribution of income are subject to social control, but the concept of that control has varied, and the term has been interpreted in widely diverging ways, ranging from statist to libertarian, from Marxist to liberal. In the modern era, “pure” socialism has been seen only rarely and usually briefly in a few Communist regimes. Far more common are systems of social democracy, now often referred to as democratic socialism, in which extensive state regulation, with limited state ownership, has been employed by democratically elected governments (as in Sweden and Denmark) in the belief that it produces a fair distribution of income without impairing economic growth.

The very idea of Democratic Socialism or any variation of Socialism or Communism runs against the very core of the American form of government. The United States of America was founded over 240 years ago as a Constitutional-Republic and is unlike any other government in the world.

 

The Rule of Law is based on the Constitution of the United States which was drafted by the Founding Fathers in accordance to biblical principles. The idea is a land where people are free to worship God, work hard and raise a family in safety while living the American Dream.

 

Today liberals equate socialism with social media. Where Facebook is a social networking platform where anything goes has been the norm until the recent political correctness craze, the train of thought equates to Facebook = Social Media therefore Socialism = Coolness. Let us run the country that way.

 

Look at the ridiculousness of some of the liberal lefts proposed social “policies” like a fart tax on farm animals; male urination into plastic containers that must be “cured” by the sun, then used as potable water for coffee, cooking and other uses. What’s next urine for brushing and rinsing to obtain fresh breath? The proposed ban on air travel would make it extremely hard for international travel unless we revert back to sailing vessels. What about guaranteed income for those unwilling to work? How would that work if all companies, corporations and private industry ceased to work? Turning unemployment offices into employment offices and stacking jobs for future use? Those are just a few bad ideas that have been expressed by the New Green Deal proposed by the liberal’s newest sensation Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

 

I don’t know about you, but I will not stand by and let this common senseless nonsense turn the country that I love into the United States of Nonsense. I will never forget the oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL ENEMIES both foreign and domestic. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
