Robert Swan Mueller III – The Mueller Report

 

In May 2017 Robert S. Mueller III was selected Special Counsel by Rod Rosenstein, Assistant Attorney General, to investigate Russian Collusion in the 2016 Presidential Election. Many people do not know even now after the investigation was completed, the report published and released to the public in redacted form that President Trump has been in fact vindicated of any collusion between Russian agents and his Campaign/Transition team.

 

Why was Robert Mueller selected for this high profile position? Was it because of his impeccable character and his reputation as a no nonsense ramrod straight litigator who saw the Constitution as something to be protected and defended since his days as a Marine Lieutenant engaged in combat during the Vietnam War? Or was it his legendary reputation as a litigator? Maybe it was because he was all about the business of the law and never accepting anything less than top notch work from his subordinates?

 

It is a given that his incredible reputation carried much weight among the members of Congress who wholeheartedly accepted and approved of his appointment so that their number one goal would be achieved to bring about the downfall of newly elected President Donald J. Trump who was sworn in on January 20, 2017.

 

What stands out to me is the contrast in the lives of these two men of similar age and privileged backgrounds. One navigated in the world of real estate and business to becoming a billionaire playboy before becoming the 45th President of the United States, while the other chose military service followed by public service in the Department of Justice becoming the 37th Director of the FBI and the longest serving director (12 years) since J. Edgar Hoover.

 

When Mueller was tapped to the Special Counsel position his mandate was clear to investigate collusion between Russian state actors/agents and members of the Trump campaign. That’s a far cry from investigating Russian Collusion in the 2016 Presidential Election. What very well should have happened was the EACH presidential candidate should have had themselves, their campaign staff and records looked at to determine was there any contact with Russian agents.

 

This would have focused on each candidate rather than just Donald Trump’s campaign. It may have led to the discovery of improprieties from a number of sources and angles. However that never happened.

 

This brings up a number of questions about the office of this Special Counsel. Who assembled the team? Robert Mueller or someone else and what were the criteria for team members? Were they non-partisan or did they have ties to a political party or any conflicts of interest with any candidate or staff member?

 

How were the teams set up, investigators and FBI agents? Who hired them? Who controlled/monitored their work? Who decided when to fire or release them? How secure was the information gathered? More importantly what was the flashpoint or document that started this entire fiasco? Did it have any type of oversight?

 

I ask these questions after viewing and reading about the latest Congressional Committee Hearing where Robert Mueller although pre-scheduled to answer specific questions about the report bearing his name, appeared absolutely clueless about the material in the report. This is uncharacteristic given Mueller’s reputation for dotting the I’s and crossing the t’s.

 

I suspect, as others have, that Mueller was in the driver’s seat of a bus with his name plastered all over it while others conducted the witch hunt under guise of investigating. This would mislead the public and the Congress in believing the Robert Mueller was actively engaged as the Special Counsel and apparently that was not true. I don’t believe this was done out of spite by Mueller. I believe he was set up as a giant Trojan horse where the public and President Trump would focus on while all the time someone else controlled what the Special Counsel’s office did. I also believe that the indictments obtained on former members of the Trump Campaign were political entrapment in an attempt to get the President.

 

What should and must happen is that Robert Mueller publicly releases his statement on the role he played as Special Counsel and if that means a public apology, so be it. I think that is what a man of his character and integrity would do because it’s the right thing to do. After all Robert Mueller is an officer and a gentleman and forever will always be a Marine. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Taking the Name of the Lord in Vain

 

 

The news cycle is spinning in giant circles because during the North Carolina rally President Donald Trump took God’s name in vain, not once but twice. So is that reason to stop supporting Trump? Is God going to strike him down with lightning? That depends.

 

We are told in Exodus 20:7 “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.”

 

No other words need be added to what God has already declared and cursing is a sin, right? It is not my place or yours to worry about what God will or will not do about sin. Jesus took care of sin on the cross at Calvary some 2,000 years ago when he died, took the keys to hell and death, rose again on the third day and now sits at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven.

 

What we need to know and understand is that God Loves Us individually and unconditionally EVEN WHEN we sin. God hates the sin, but loves the sinner. That is why he gave his only begotten son Jesus to die for our sin.

 

So tell me you without sin, which is the greater sin? Cursing, murder, adultery, covetousness, lying, stealing, gossiping, cheating, slander, or hating yourself the way God created you? How are we to judge? Do we sit on the judgement seat? Are we God? No we are not. However we are told to weigh everything against the Word of God, whether it is true or false.

 

We are told that when we sin we are to confess our sin to Almighty God asking for forgiveness with a grateful heart and he is just to forgive us of our sin. We are to turn away from it and sin no more (don’t do it again). Maybe, just maybe that applies to President Trump as well, right?

 

Many of us have children and grandchildren. We have “in-laws” and in many cases we have become outlaws in the eyes of God. When we or anyone in our family sins does that make them any less a part of the family, except by choice? When they use words we don’t approve of do we immediately kick them out on the street and say go ahead and take care of yourself because I don’t like the way you talked or the words you used? Of course not! That would be like throwing out the baby with the bath water because the water’s dirty.

 

Many have expressed their displeasure, others have written to President Trump asking him to make better word choices and maybe he will. No matter what happens it is up to Almighty God whether to use fire and brimstone or a measure of grace. Let’s face it we are all fallen sinful man. The wages of Sin is death, according to scripture. Death is what we deserve. Yet God often chooses a measure of His Grace which is sufficient for anything that life throws our way.

 

I am reminded that God uses people to do his will. All he requires is availability and obedience, nothing more and nothing less. God has a plan and purpose for everyone, even for Donald J. Trump with all of his faults. God even has a plan for you? – I am the Real Truckmaster!

So Blind They Will Not See

 

 

“Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not” – Jeremiah 5:21 (KJV)

 

While watching the John Wayne western classic “Rooster Cogburn” (1975) on television recently one line caught my attention. Shortly after the movie began Eula Goodnight (Katharine Hepburn) said to Marshal Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne), “Marshal Cogburn we are here together and we’re obligated to be on good terms with each other”.

 

I began thinking about something our pastor said during his Sunday teaching, “There are none so blind as those who will not see” (John Heywood – 1546). He was referring both to Jeremiah 5:21 and what John Heywood said. So I decided to Google it.

According to the ‘Random House Dictionary of Popular Proverbs and Sayings’ this proverb has been traced back to 1546 (John Heywood), and resembles the Biblical verse Jeremiah 5:21 (‘Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not’). In 1738 it was used by Jonathan Swift in his ‘Polite Conversation’ and is first attested in the United States in the 1713 ‘Works of Thomas Chalkley’. This saying true in religion, politics and life in general as there are some things that are right before our eyes. It’s like we are wearing spiritual blinders or have scales over our eyes. We used to have a saying for things we didn’t quite understand “were clear as mud”, if that helps.

 

Our political climate in 2019 has been hammered at us for the past 50+ years with Roe vs Wade; Political Correctness; Removing God from family life, schools and from government.

 

We are told that male and female are not the only genders (you can choose your gender). Parents are told they cannot even change a baby’s diaper without the baby’s permission and stop identifying them as boys or girls and children should make their own decisions about their sexuality. Perverted adult behavior is to be tolerated as normal when it is clearly not.

 

We are lead to believe that murdering children through abortion is somehow a woman’s choice about her own body and aborting a child AFTER birth is accepted? It’s OK to take vital organs and body parts from an aborted child and sell them for medical research instead of using medical research to maintain and prolong the life of the child. If that doesn’t make you angry there is a good chance that you are wearing those spiritual blinders.

 

The ridiculousness doesn’t stop there either. There are people who use their own racism to declare that others are racist. They use the term as a catch all for those who don’t agree with their warped point of view. To them everything and everyone is race bait material. What is normal has been determined abnormal. Abnormal behavior is considered normal? Patriotism is somehow racist behavior, while Communism and Socialism are what a small group of people are striving to have accepted as normal.

 

Colleges are declaring the words “Americans” and “America” prohibited on campus, why because they offend or exclude some individuals. It is seen as offensive to raise the American Flag or stand during the National Anthem, in fact don’t play the anthem at all and keep the flag off campus too.

 

What about immigration? Is it not the sovereign right of a nation to define and protect its national borders? Are nations now forbidden to prevent entry of anyone for any reason? Why then lock your doors? Must a homeowner stand idly by without protecting his family or property while a prowler ransacks the house and do nothing?

 

Can a business be forced to serve those who seek to destroy that business? Should a bank simply give money to anyone who demands it, whether or not they have an account or a sufficient balance? If you are OK with what is happening in America today there is something drastically wrong with your thinking.

 

On the political scale are you fine with a politician who promises to do you harm to appease others and it is alright for you to work hard so that others who choose not to work can profit from your hard work? The bible says that a man who doesn’t work shouldn’t eat. Man was created to work the land.

 

There is one who is fighting for America, under a mandate from God to stop evil from progressing under the guise of political correctness. His example is one of love for God, his family and for his Country. He stands firm against what others declare is normal, to insure that God is brought back into homes, schools and government. There is a meme or photo circulating on Facebook with President Donald J. Trump saying “They’re after you. I’m just in the way.”

 

Let me remind you of what the bible says in Exodus 20:2-17 (Ten Commandments):

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. You shall not make idols.
  3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
  4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
  6. You shall not murder.
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
  8. You shall not steal.
  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  10. You shall not covet.

Those commandments are the foundation of the Constitution of the United States and embodied in the Bill of Rights (Amendments 1 – 10):

 

Amendment 1 – Freedom of Religion, Speech, and the Press

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

 

Amendment 2 – The Right to Bear Arms

A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

 

Amendment 3 – The Housing of Soldiers

No soldier shall, in time of peace, be quartered in any house without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

 

Amendment 4 – Protection from Unreasonable Searches and Seizures

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized.

 

Amendment 5 – Protection of Rights to Life, Liberty, and Property

No person shall be held to answer for a capital or otherwise infamous crime unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation.

 

Amendment 6 – Rights of Accused Persons in Criminal Cases

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor; and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

 

Amendment 7 – Rights in Civil Cases

In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States than according to the rules of the common law.

 

Amendment 8 – Excessive Bail, Fines, and Punishments Forbidden

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

 

Amendment 9 – Other Rights Kept by the People

The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

 

Amendment 10 – Undelegated Powers Kept by the States and the People

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

I find it is no coincidence that we have 10 Commandments from God and the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution as guiding principles for our conduct and that of our government having lasted for 243 years. Many people are confused as to whether our nation is a Democracy or a Republic and it is neither. The United States of America is a Constitutional-Republic. Based on biblical principles and guided by the Constitution as the Rule of Law.

A constitutional republic is a form of government in which a representative is elected by the people to govern over them, according to the rules established in the law of the land. An example of a constitutional republic is the United States’ form of government. U.S. citizens elect a President, and other representatives, who then govern them as the Constitution directs them to. Every American citizen must arm themselves with knowledge of the heritage of the United States. How was it formed and why? What were the obstacles faced by these early Americans? How did they persevere and overcome those obstacles?

 

There was a time when this was taught beginning in elementary school by teachers without any ulterior motives or political spinning. By the time a child entered high school there were classes that encouraged critical thinking and debating skills were honed to a fine point. When a student graduated high school they were armed with the tools to successfully meet the challenges of the day and in the world they could become major players and decision makers. Colleges were finishing schools where doctors and lawyers received detailed schooling on medicine or the rule of law. Trade schools were where technical skills were taught, learned and developed. Everything else was learned by on-the-job training and through military service.

 

Much of that is lost today as the protestors of yesteryear (1960s-70s) have become college and university deans and tenured professors. Everything has become political and brainwashing has become almost undetectable and considered the norm.

 

One is considered a free thinker when they accept everything at face value and simply go with the flow. Never questioning or challenging what they hear or read. Their personal opinions are shaped by main stream and social media to the point that political correctness rules!

 

The Commandments of God are the standard for life and they never change. Regardless of whether you choose to obey them or choose disobedience to them – the choice is yours. Obedience without compromise is what God requires from each of us.

We are all created equal in the sight of our Creator God. We come into the world and depart the world with nothing. All the knowledge, power and “toys” we accumulate in this life are here today and will be gone tomorrow. There are no U-Haul’s in the great beyond or what is called the afterlife. As light casts no shadow, there will be only light or darkness for eternity. What you do with your life that God has given you will determine how you spend your eternity – With God or Without God? In darkness there is no light! God is the light! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Who is Your Harbormaster?

 

What is this fascination with making women equal to men, races being equal or everyone is equal to everyone else depending upon what you “feel like” today? It’s silly for anyone to think that everyone is the same and it doesn’t matter whether you were born male or female. Others may try to make you think that there are over 50 sexual genders, not true. The same is true when someone tells you that finances is racially dependent. In order to be rich one must have been born into money; worked hard to earn their money or steal it from someone else. That’s why the bible tells us that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people tend to do anything in order to get that almighty $$.

 

A simple rule of thumb that you can take to the bank (or grave) is that we are all born with nothing and will die with nothing. There are no U-Hauls in the great beyond.

 

The truth of the matter is that each of us is unique a work of art by our creator. There is nobody else “exactly like you”, not even an identical twin. God thought so much of you that he only created you as his one of a kind you. It is up to us what we become. It’s not environmental or dependent upon anyone else. We go through life seeing things that need to be “fixed” and we have a tendency to say, “Somebody out to do something” and it’s true. We are somebody and we ought to do something, within our scope of ability and experience we can affect a change or just let somebody else do it. We were each given a brain to use, but it’s up to us whether we do something with it or not. Don’t let someone else tell you how or what to think. Don’t let them dictate your core values. Life is full of opportunities, doors to or barriers to keep us from somewhere. It is up to us to strive to be the best we can, do what we can to make this world a better place. It is when good people do nothing that bad people win. Don’t be fooled because in the end God is still in control and good always triumphs over evil, always!

Muslimism vs Christianity in America

 

I originally wrote about this on 6-16-11 and now it is time to take a look at the reality of Muslimism vs Christianity in America and in American politics as much has changed. We now have Muslims (Islamic Extremists) elected into the House of Representatives.

 

I am no expert on the subject matter but I have written about major differences in the conquest of mankind by Muslims vs Christians. What we westerners think we know is the goal of Muslims (Islam) is world domination (conversion by force if necessary).

 

Christians choose relationship with God voluntarily.

 

Is there was a way to converge the two religions into one? Is that really possible with two diabolically opposed ideas? According to Samy Tanagho, an Egyptian Christian with a unique ministry to Muslims called Glad News for Muslims @   www.gladnewsministgry.com  it is possible.

 

As Samy explained, Muslim’s love and fear God, they just don’t know God. Samy helps enable Muslims to know God and begin a relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

Ephesians 4:11-12 “And He Himself gave some to be…teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

 

As a believer we must pray and ask God to use us for His glory. God’s plan is for everyone to be with Him in Heaven.

 

There are fundamental differences between Muslimism (Islam) and Christianity which we in the west do not truly understand. One basic difference is the use of lies versus the truth.

 

Muslimism (Islamic Extremism) is racist at its very core. You don’t believe me? According to the Koran extremists are taught and believe that Islam is the only true religion descending from Abraham through the prophet Mohammad and everyone must convert to Islam or die. That is true racism.  Extremists believe that lying is alright when it is done to infidels (non-Muslims).

 

During the 2018 mid-term elections voters elected a proclaimed Muslim woman (Ilhan Omar) from Minnesota into the House of Representatives. One need only to see and hear her speak to fully begin to understand what is happening within Congress as a result. She joined in on the assault on President Trump and has gone further by her assault on the United States (citizens and military personnel) and her praises for the enemies of America while claiming to love the country and be more patriotic than natural born American citizens.

 

As a child Omar’s refugee family fled Somalia and she later became a naturalized citizen. Her biography says she learned politics from her Somalian grandfather which had to include Islamic religious teachings.

 

Representative Ilhan Omar has joined forces with other newly elected representatives and together are a force (team) to be reckoned with, as the congressional old guard is finding out first hand. There will come a time where Democratic Party leadership will be directly challenged in the House. Omar ran on the Democratic Party ticket as a means of getting elected, but once she changes the party into an openly Islamic or Muslim Party think of the ripples that will run across this nation as many fear to confront Muslimism (Islam) head on. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

A Hate So Strong

 

Have you noticed that regardless of the subject matter or topic written about national pride, our nation’s heritage or about the economy somehow it comes back negatively about President Donald J. Trump? It seems that the vocabulary of the left is determined by the level of hate carried by the hearts and into the minds of those who act like parrots of misinformation.

 

Have you ever heard of anybody publicly criticizing their employer or place of employment without suffering immediate consequences when overheard by management? No! In real life that individual would be on the outside looking in wondering what happened as they begin seeking new work.

 

In sports the super-stars have some pretty big sponsor deals. They wear their brand prominently during official matches and are keen on having their brand photographed and promoted everywhere they go. What would happen if a player chose not wear their sponsors brand during a major sporting event? They would lose that sponsorship and all the money that goes with it. In the real world they would be cut back to 2nd or 3rd string, traded to another team or simply cut from the team as a violation of their contract.

 

In the military it is the same. Someone gripes and complains about their platoon or section or the unit in general or disrespect toward anyone of higher rank or position and they find themselves being disciplined by an extra workload or disciplined through the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) which could lead to a reduction in rank, time in the stockade or brig and even a bad conduct discharge.

 

In many nations around the world disrespect, griping or complaining about the government or the nation’s leadership is grounds for arrest and imprisonment or even death without a trial. There is no appeal after an execution.

 

Those are called the Rule of Law and ours is determined by the Constitution of the United States. In case you don’t know or haven’t heard there are certain things that are protected by or are punishable under the Constitution. Certain individual freedoms we call rights are protected and we call them “God Given” or inalienable rights – life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. What has happened over the past 50 years is that these rights have been violated in many cases and sanctioned by the state or national government and has become acceptable.

 

Take for example the right to life – it is unlawful to kill someone, unless that someone is a baby in the protective womb of the mother, or in many states now someone who is terminally ill or the elderly. There is only one who is able to make those decisions of whether someone lives or dies and we are not worthy to even stand before HIS Judgment Seat.

 

Our Constitution provides for the imprisonment of individuals convicted of certain crimes, provided it is done according to our Rule of Law. This too has been violated every time someone is unjustly imprisoned or unlawfully detained without a trial resulting in the loss of their liberty or freedom.

 

Also implied in the Constitution is the pursuit of happiness which doesn’t mean at the expense of anyone else. Just because it makes you happy doesn’t make it protected under the Constitution. Some people become happy when they bully or harass another, some steal and kill, while still others run for political office and become enmeshed in the struggle for power over people even though the Constitution clearly provides the real power of government is retained by the people.

 

It is the people who have the right to bear arms, to vote, to own property and to protect themselves and their families. It is the people who have the right to determine their elected officials and to replace them. It is the people who have the right to worship Almighty God as they choose, according to the Constitution.

 

Over the course of time people mistakenly think that anything goes in a society that chooses self-government over chaos. There are those who make a sport of invoking chaos into well-structured and meaningful cities and towns across this nation we call home. These individuals choose to ignore the Rule of Law in America while choosing confrontation, fear and violence as their weapons. Their ignorance is astounding. They act as spoiled children hiding behind masks and in groups because they do not have the intestinal fortitude to stand on their own and articulate their point of view. Among all the rights we hold dear the one these people ignore and violate the most is the right to remain silent! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Alinsky’s Principles in Motion

Smoke and Mirrors is what President George H. W. Bush called it during the Operation Iraqi Freedom. It was making much ado out of nothing, and hitting the enemy where it hurt. It served its purpose quite well I might add but it’s really nothing new and Saul Alinsky laid claim to it in his Rules for Radicals doctrine which Hillary Clinton admired and along with Barack Obama they both used and still use today.

One of the principles is to identify your target (enemy). Since you can’t go after an abstract idea, you can personify that idea with a person. In this case you personify the National Anthem, the US Flag and the US Constitution with a single person – Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America.

Yes every ill that can be thought up can be attributed or blamed on Trump. It has worked before and brought down powerful men and women by sheer force. Politicians have a tendency to crumble and fall when placed in the spotlight. First they spend most of their time denying the accusations (which many times are totally false or fabricated), and their supporters come out of the woodwork in defense. Each of them becomes fresh targets of opportunity in the game of slugfest where the only one standing is the winner.

Alinsky said it was ok to use their own words and beliefs against them. He said like Christians defending the bible, they can’t because they don’t live up to it. He said to make noise, get things out there publicly and if needed make stuff up. The end justifies the means sort of thing.

Look at what has happened in almost all of Trumps appointments. They have been ridiculed, attacked and in some cases have been withdrawn. Others who are approved are still ridiculed and attacked while in office, causing some of these to resign. The ones who are summarily passed seem to have something akin to blackmail hanging over them and are not even challenged. Interesting don’t you think?

Personal attacks on the Trump family and name have been ferocious and non-stop since the announcement in Trump Tower back in 2015. Anyone else would have crumbled under them, yet Donald J. Trump is not anyone else now is he? He is a junkyard dog in a fight. He’s a man who loves to scrap and is famous for using publicity (good or bad) to his advantage, to keep it in the public arena. He is not one to give up in defeat. In fact defeat is when one simply stops fighting and it is not his nature.

The funny thing about this is those who attack him are the same ones who befriended him for his celebrity status and his fortune. His campaign donations were important to them. They were using him, right? Maybe he was just using them? No matter, one of Trump strategies is to know your enemy. He knows their strengths and their weaknesses and when to apply pressure or withhold it. He knows when to delay just long enough that they mistakenly think they have the upper hand. By now everybody knows that “love trumps hate” and even I know that you can’t “out trump – Trump”.  But more importantly one cannot afford to forget the “God” factor in this equation.

President Donald Trump is a man on a mission to restore America to its rightful greatness once again. His ambitions are not those of a man seeking to increase his self-worth (bank accounts) but to bring the nation back into prosperity. It is to give people hope for a better future for their families. It is to give hope to those desiring to come to America. It is to bring back justice under the Rule of law in accordance with the Constitution of the United States of America.

You don’t have to love him, in fact you don’t even have to LIKE him and many choose to hate him, but regardless his goal is for you to prosper at home and in the workplace. More jobs, lower taxes and a stronger sense of self-worth are a portion of what Trump brings to the table. Securing our nation’s borders and preventing lawbreakers entering our nation is paramount to what makes this country great is one of his most pressing issues. Getting other countries to stop using the USA as their own personal ATM is another of his priorities. The biggest hurdle is for American citizens to be proud once again of our nation and what it stands for – Freedom and Liberty in a world of political correctness and fear.

For anyone to simply ignore those and vote for higher taxes, more free stuff (nothing is free) and for someone who has trouble balancing their checkbook is preposterous. Politicians promise the moon and back to get your vote. Donald Trump is results oriented. One needs only to look around at the economy and the past two and a half years of the Trump administration’s policies to see results. One Soldier’s Story

 

Yesterday I sat down with a neighbor who in 1970 was a 16 year old Cambodian boy joined the army to fight against the North Vietnamese army that had invaded Cambodia he rose to the rank of sergeant and was in some of the fieriest fighting imaginable. He was wounded twice, hospitalized and escaped prior to around 250 hospital patients being executed as they lay in their cots. He battled overwhelming odds against superior numbers and a better equipped enemy without food, supplies, ammunition and lying submerged in rice paddies with no protective cover he continued to fight for his family, his land and his country. His story continues until he escaped Cambodia in 1984, made it into Thailand and pled in writing for asylum to the United States. After being accepted he and his wife made their way to Colorado Springs arriving in 1988.

 

His story of the atrocities committed against the Cambodian people even to this day by Vietnamese forces that conquered Vietnam and now basically occupy Cambodia and Laos. The people are still poor with many who survived have nothing of their own.  Many of their educated and professionals and military who fought against the Vietnamese were executed, right down to their newborn babies.

 

It sickens me inside to hear of the atrocities and of the struggle made by him and many others, yet we hear nothing on the news or on TV except that the US is paying for the removal of herbicide remnants from Vietnam, and mines and war explosives from areas in Cambodia and possibly Laos.

 

I’m sure that many here have been involved in activities “across the fence” helping the people defend themselves against North Vietnamese forces during the war, but into the mid-1980s? It’s appalling what man will do to his fellow man, and without batting an eye.

My Thoughts on the Secure Fence Act of 2006

(and other immigration issues)

 

The Secure Fence Act of 2006 was passed in 2006 and signed into law by President George W. Bush (R) on October 26, 2006. Its stated purpose was to “establish operational control over the international land and maritime borders of the United States.” Most debate around the law surrounded a provision that required the building of 700 miles of new fencing along the southern border with Mexico. Supporters argued the fence would improve national security and reduce illegal immigration, while opponents argued that the fence would not effectively reduce illegal immigration and could worsen national security. As of 2016, the border with Mexico was lined with 650 miles of partial fencing.

On October 26, 2006, U.S. President George W. Bush signed the Secure Fence Act of 2006 (Pub.L. 109–

367) into law stating, “This bill will help protect the American people. This bill will make our borders more secure. It is an important step toward immigration reform.”

 

The bill was introduced on September 13, 2006 by Congressman Peter T. King, Republican of New York.

In the House of Representatives, the Fence Act passed 283–138 on September 14, 2006.

On September 29, 2006 – the Fence Act passed in the Senate 80–19.

PROVISIONS

 

Border surveillance

Section 2 of the Secure Fence Act directed the secretary of homeland security to implement a system of surveillance for the land and sea borders of the United States, which included the use of the following: [2]

  • unmanned aerial vehicles
  • ground-based sensors
  • satellites
  • radar coverage
  • cameras

 

The law also directed the secretary to make improvements to physical infrastructure related to border security and the duties of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, such as checkpoints, weather access roads, and vehicle barriers. Under this section, the secretary was also given the authority to take all actions necessary and appropriate to deter and prevent unlawful entry into the United States.[2]

 

Border fence

Section 3 of the Secure Fence Act directed the secretary of homeland security to provide for the construction of a double-layered fence through the following areas, totaling 700 miles in length: [2][4]

(i) extending from 10 miles west of the Tecate, California, port of entry to 10 miles east of the Tecate, California, port of entry;

(ii) extending from 10 miles west of the Calexico, California, port of entry to 5 miles east of the Douglas, Arizona, port of entry;

(iii) extending from 5 miles west of the Columbus, New Mexico, port of entry to 10 miles east of El Paso, Texas;

(iv) extending from 5 miles northwest of the Del Rio, Texas, port of entry to 5 miles southeast of the Eagle Pass, Texas, port of entry; and

(v) extending 15 miles northwest of the Laredo, Texas, port of entry to the Brownsville, Texas, port of entry.[5]

The law also directed the secretary to install surveillance cameras along the stretch of fence between Calexico, California, and Douglas, Arizona.[2]

 

Northern border

Section 4 of the Secure Fence Act directed the secretary of homeland security to conduct a study regarding a security system along the northern border. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the necessity of constructing a system, the feasibility of such a system, and the economic impact it could have along the border.[2]

 

 

 

Customs and Border Patrol authority

Section 5 of the Secure Fence Act directed the secretary of homeland security to evaluate the extent of the authority of Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) to stop vehicles entering the United States illegally and determine whether its authority should be expanded. Under the law, the secretary was also directed to evaluate the use of technology by the CBP to stop vehicles and determine whether such technology should be updated. Finally, the secretary was directed to evaluate the training provided to CBP officers regarding stopping vehicles.[2]

 

Debate

Debate concerning the Secure Fence Act primarily surrounded the construction of 700 miles of border fencing. Questions arose about whether building a fence was ethical, whether it would be effective, and whether it would harm foreign relations with Mexico.

 

Supporters of building the fence argued that the United States, as a sovereign nation, was justified in securing its borders and that doing so would make immigrating to the United States fairer for legal immigrants. They argued that the fence would effectively slow illegal immigration by forcing individuals seeking to cross illegally to attempt to do so in heavily patrolled areas. This extra difficulty would deter more individuals from attempting to cross, proponents contended. In addition, by slowing illegal immigration, supporters argued that the fence would improve national security. It could also improve foreign relations with Mexico as perceived issues with illegal immigration were reduced.[6]

 

Opponents of the fence argued that it would divide communities that exist along the border and possibly cut off some farmers’ access to water. They also argued that the fence would not deter illegal immigration and would instead put border crossers in greater danger by forcing them to cross via treacherous routes. Crossers could also go around, climb over, or dig under the fence, and a fence would not stop illegal entry via the use of falsified documents. Because the fence would not deter illegal immigration, opponents countered that it would also not improve national security and could even incentivize criminals to become more organized. Opponents contended that the fence would worsen foreign relations with Mexico by sending a signal of distrust and an insult to the idea of “good neighbors.”

From what I’ve been reading this 2006 law was seen as the first step in Comprehensive Immigration Reform and the fence portion is at best a “patch job”. Many of the Senators are still in office and have changed their stance on the fence because President Trump wants it built and called it a “Wall”. More importantly there must be legislative reform of the loopholes that allow unfettered access to our borders by those choosing to enter illegally (such as DACA).

 

Other “state actors” have taken advantage of the lack of support and confusion by members of Congress in failing to support President Trump’s vision of a secure southern border. They have financed, organized and/or executed plans for massive waves of invaders in a grand attempt to overwhelm US law enforcement officials at the border.

 

This has been compounded by a number of individuals AND city, county, state and US Legislative Officials who willfully violate US Immigration laws by aiding the unlawful entry of aliens which is a federal offense prosecutable under federal statutes.

 

Another point of contention has been a Presidential Executive Order to stem the tide of immigrants coming into the United States as seen in Title 8 U.S. Code 1182 – Inadmissible aliens (f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President. “Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

 

This brings us to the topic of birthright citizenship as defined by the 14th Amendment which says “[a]ll persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” are citizens”.

 

So contrary to popular belief or what the media and even member of Congress have led us to believe, in 1898 the Supreme Court of the United States laid out the requirements for birthright U.S. citizenship. The first requirement is that a person’s parents must be in this country legally. The second requirement is that they have a legal residence within the United States at the time of their birth. Any person who DOES NOT MEET those 2 requirements IS NOT a citizen of the United States.

 

Citizenship gained under false pretenses can and should be revoked and that person may be deported and those who assisted someone in gaining citizenship falsely may be fined and imprisoned and have their US citizenship revoked and result in their being deported as well. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

My Take on the Constitution of the United States of America

 

Recent discussion and mis-information would lead one to believe that the Constitution is no longer relevant, that it and the symbols of our nation represent slavery. What a load of “bunk”! These so called “legal scholars” are politicians or are simply parroting the rhetoric being openly spread over the media.

Read the entire text of the Constitution of the United States which was written in 1787, ratified in 1788 and has been in operation since 1789. The Preamble to the Constitution begins with three very important words – “We the People” – that affirm the government of the United States exists to serve its citizens.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

 

Contrary to what you may have been told or have heard others say, the government of the United States does not exist for any other purpose, nor does it serve the interests of any other people. The government is not self-serving, nor does it serve the interests of elected or appointed officials.

 

The Constitution was established as the Rule of Law whereby setting the tone and national standards for a more perfect Union to establish Justice while insuring domestic Tranquility, providing for the common defense and promoting the general Welfare and securing the Blessings of Liberty for the Founding Families and their offspring to come.

 

Article I created a Congress, consisting of a Senate and a House of Representatives while insuring the supremacy of the people through their elected officials. The Constitution assigned to Congress the responsibility for organizing the Executive and Judicial Branches of government, raising revenue (taxes), declaring war, and making all laws necessary for executing these powers. That has not changed in over 243 years.

 

Today the Congress has become inflated with complex rules, committees and caucuses that have become so politically charged that the making of laws have ground to a virtual halt. The holders of political power in Congress have become more interested in flexing their political muscles that they interfere with or obstruct the Executive branch and are unable to legislate effectively or efficiently.

 

The Constitution provides for a Presidential veto on certain legislative acts, but Congress has the authority to override presidential vetoes by two-thirds majorities in both houses (House and Senate). The Senate provides for advise and consent on key executive and judicial appointments and on approval for ratification of treaties.

 

This separation and balance of governmental powers is designed to safeguard the interests of majority rule and minority rights, of liberty and equality, and of the federal and state governments. The Constitution is more a concise statement of national principles than a detailed plan of governmental operation. The Constitution has evolved over time to meet the changing needs of a modern society and has been amended 27 times, most recently in 1992. The first ten amendments constitute the Bill of Rights.

The Constitution of the United States of America: Analysis and Interpretation (popularly known as the Constitution Annotated) contains legal analysis and interpretation of the United States Constitution, based primarily on Supreme Court case law.

One last note on the Constitution, during the initial session of the 1st Congress Representatives were to be chosen every 2 years with terms of 4 years and the Senate for terms of 6 years. Senators were divided into three classes.

Class 1 = terms expired in 2 years,

Class 2 = terms expired in 4 years, and

Class 3 = terms expired in 6 years.

This was by design to insure that it would take three legislative elections to fully change all Representatives and Senators.

 

The pressing issues of national safety and security is all important in today’s society so isn’t it time for Congress to get back into the business of legislating for the American people?  – I am the Real Truckmaster!
