Ode to Patriotism

As 4^th of July 2019 approaches and we celebrate Independence Day one might ask what are we independence from? It’s hard to know what has been taught in school classrooms as political correctness has so influenced every facet of our society.

History tells us that even before 1776 the colonies in the Americas were unsettled by sending taxes to the crown without the slightest bit of input or oversight as to the laws governing them. This led to a select group of men and women who decided that somebody had to do something. I’m sure any communications with the British government were routinely dismissed or ignored.

Even as these brave men and women began organizing a more official response there were many who were afraid (and rightly so) of confronting the might of the British empire who would see this as treason and everyone knows the punishment was forfeiture of all assets and death. As expected once the gauntlet had been laid down the British military response was overwhelming with troops being sent in mass to quell this civil unrest.

Many viewed this as a hopeless task, yet in spite of the hopelessness of the situation some went courting European countries for financial and military support against Great Britain. The colonists began assembling allies among the native Indian tribes and from European countries who were fed up with the British as well. It began as an untrained, untested under equipped force of hunters, farmers, bankers and all those in between taking on the Goliath of the largest, best equipped, and trained, battle tested military force on earth.

The conditions were brutal as were the British. Winters were hard, cold and the colonists suffered greatly, yet would not give up. Even the leadership of the colonists had been untested in battle up to this point and mistakes were made, by both sides I might add. It was not simply a fight to be fought for the sake of it. It was a fight for the dignity of a people wanting full control of their own government, not one far away. It was a fight for freedom.

The fighting was long and hard and in the end the colonists declared victory and the United States of America became an entirely new entity. Not just in name, but on papers signed by the founding fathers and ratified by the original 13 colonies. A Constitution, including the Bill of Rights was written that would establish the first and only Constitutional-Republic where the government worked FOR THE PEOPLE and BY THE PEOPLE and everyone was created equal by the Creator in Heaven.

There were a great many obstacles to overcome, yet with much debate and compromise this nation had been born. It was and is not now a perfect nation. Over time each obstacle has been tried and tested against the Constitution. Sometimes modifications were made to fix obvious flaws and to clarify the intent of this form of government. Today in 2019 the United States of America is still the only Constitutional-Republic form of government in existence. It literally is a beacon on the hill that inspire the world toward Democracy and Freedom.

Independence Day is more than fireworks, hot dogs, parades and football. It’s even more than mom’s apple pie, cake and ice cream. Americans for generations to come will be able enjoy the freedom fought for so many times since the foundation of this nation.

As you gather your family together this holiday season, take a moment to tell them about George Washington, Paul Revere, John Paul Jones and others like Benjamin Franklin and Francis Marion who put their lives on the line for freedom, for you and for me. Tell them about the Civil War, World War I and II, Korea, Vietnam, Somalia, Panama, Iraq and Afghanistan where Americans before them have laid down their lives in defense of freedom. Take a moment to pray for our men and women in harm’s way today as they serve around the globe for the cause of Freedom. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

The Politicization of America

If you’ve been following along with my blogs you should be able to see that my intent is not to ridicule or demean anyone but to stimulate that gray matter between the ears of my readers.

Like many of you I detest this Politicization of America that has overtaken normal common sense on a daily basis. As with each national election things tend to heat up over manufactured crises and events designed to pull attention away from the real problems we face as a nation.

To me it boils down to Honor and Respect for God, our nation’s leader and for the family. When we teach our children to honor God, obey his word and to love our neighbor as ourselves we are setting the stage for a peaceful life where God will provide for our needs.

Over time our country has booted God out of all facets of public life and replaced him with a host of gods and idols. We have collectively chosen to shy away from talking about anything religious unless it conforms to one of the many idols society has accepted.

It has become acceptable to bully and publicly shame others while declaring it is wrong to bully. We strongly stand for the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as proclaimed in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the founding documents of our nation, unless it interferes with someone else’s happiness or what they want to do.

This includes the intentional murder of babies in the name of a woman’s right to choose. That has never been God’s intention, or his desire for even one of these little ones whom HE has created for a specific purpose in life.

What has really become acceptable is to publicly come out against our nation, while cashing our entitlement checks at the bank of never ending currency. Our “national” pride has been swallowed up by political correctness. We proudly wear “USA” as a fashion statement, but reject anything positive about this nation so many have shown outright distain. Our national sports teams are national in name only.

Like it or not the office of the President of the United States is to be respected and Donald J. Trump is our president. I will not sit by while someone continues to spread lies and distorted “truths” about the one whom God has placed in this important office of leading our nation. There has never been a president like him.

Never has one man assessed the situation of America, determined a course of action to bring about change that positively affects every single American citizen, and had to literally fight both the Congress and the media in order to bring about this change. So you don’t like his mannerisms, his “braggadociosness” or his use of Twitter or the rallies he uses to get his message out to the people?

So what? That is his style so get over it already.

Politically speaking Donald J. Trump is not your normal politician. He isn’t doing this for the money, fame or exposure to the media. He had all that and more as a private citizen. He is working to make America better, something others have only alluded to in order to get political votes.

There are many who want to “Stop Trump” anyway possible. The political contenders have clearly said that is their goal. They have no plan to make America great, but to take the very lifeblood of America and give to a government which has proven its inability to provide for the safety and security of the nation. I call that lunacy.

If a politician feels so strongly about their ability to bring positive change to America I challenge them to resign their office, position or political power and place all their efforts into a viable plan of their own. To run the race for the presidency without an expectation of success is ludicrous. To keep their position as their “plan B” shows their insincerity and/or inability to do what they promise politically.

If you’re tired of the politics stop feeding into the frenzy and stop buying the misinformation that is being feed to you.  Look around at the economy. Are there more jobs? Are less people using public assistance than in the past? What about the stock market? Is our military becoming stronger, newer equipment and assets?

On the world stage have our allies abandoned the United States because of President Trump? The answer is “No”! Have our adversaries taken notice of our intentions to place America first? The answer is a resounding “Yes”!

Looking past all the smoke and mirrors one will see that results matter. While others want to do things fast, President Trump has said that doing it right is more important than speed, as he deals with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The world is in a constant state of change and the United States must be aware of this change as it happens and be prepared for any contingency. This includes the recent assault upon the sovereignty of the nation by the massive influx of migrants along the southern border. Immigration is important for every nation. Immigrants are the lifeblood of our nation, yet illegal immigration takes away from the resources of our nation and demonstrates the intent of those who illegally cross into the country.

It is not humane to house illegals while tripping over homelessness on the streets of America. It is not humane to allow subhuman conditions of living on the streets of our cities, turning them into third world communities without regard to the laws of our land. And it is not humane to look the other way when migrants transit any nation with the sole intent of disobeying the immigration laws of any nation.

When Americans begin rationalizing lawlessness as a human condition to be accepted, rather than taking steps to bring law and order out of chaos it is a sad state of affairs and speaks volumes for those who just sit around and criticize. Evil abounds when good men do nothing.

President Donald Trump is but one man. He has chosen to do what he can about what he sees wrong in America and has pledged to Make America Great Again. His vision has a plan, a means to an end, a way forward and it takes hard work and total commitment to make that vision a reality. I stand with President Trump! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

On The Great Democratic 2019 Debates

America is not a perfect country, and rather than becoming a democracy as some claim, or just another republic as we see in the world today, by design the United States of America is a Constitutional-Republic.  Our very foundation has established the Constitution as the Rule of Law for the nation.

Our nation and its Constitution have been under attack both from outside entities and from within our own government. Not only do we have a very real human rights issue at our southern border with Mexico, but we have national crisis coming from many fronts, international terrorism, trade wars, and theft of national treasurers and resources as well as national security issues. Our very economy has been hammered down on the verge of collapse. Our military has been reduced to the point of becoming inefficient with outdated equipment, over taxed personnel resources and as with any army the support of the people at home is all important. On the home front our public educational system is ineffective at educating the nation’s youth. Many leave school without a diploma, and/or without the skills necessary to become successful independent members of our society. Political Correctness has replaced common sense. Mass shootings envelope our schools, churches and public squares. Gun violence is at an all-time high in many areas.

Many of the 2020 presidential candidates are current and former legislators or governors and are well versed on the issues which threaten our nation’s very existence.

With all that being said I would have expected every presidential debate to be about fixing what is wrong in our nation. How are we going forward going to make a better nation for our children and grandchildren? Is there a plan? How do we “get there” from here? Is it sustainable? Which candidate has American interests at heart?

From the outtakes of the Democratic 2019 Debates this is what I’m seeing from virtually every candidate is supporting the right to murder through abortion America’s future and continue using taxpayer dollars to fund them.

Candidates choose to take care of illegals, more than food, shelter and clothing – shield them from prosecution and deportation for breaking US Immigration Laws, provide a living allowance and tuition free education.

Candidates are verbalizing increasing taxes on the other guy – the super-rich and the middle class. The redistribution of wealth from those who can and do work, to those who choose not to work and providing social security benefits to those who have not paid into social security.

Candidates encourage sanctuary cities and states while shielding law breakers from federal agents yet want to confiscate lawful gun ownership a clear violation of the US Constitution.

Candidates want to lower the voting age to 16 and to legalize non-US citizens to vote in elections another violation of the US Constitution.

In short rather than tackle the national security and safety issues plaguing American cities and American citizens, the single most priority of every candidate is simply to “Stop Trump” by any means.

Americans are much too smart than to allow politicians and/or the media to fool them into thinking that no jobs and higher taxes combined with open borders and massive public assistance is the way to fix anything and taking away guns disarms citizens and prevents them from defending themselves or their families from criminals who chose to act when there is little or no resistance.

Based on their own words, deeds and actions there is no redeeming value to voting for any Democratic Candidate. Their agenda is petty and vindictive in nature placing nothing ahead of getting the nomination. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

An Undercurrent of Mounting Political Pressure in America

The world in which we live seems to be going through a series of changes that are akin to the forming of a pack of wild wolves that roam their territory in search of prey, once found, cornered are attacked by the entire pack in a feeding frenzy until the kill has been made. In the hierarchy of the pack the Alpha Male has first choice consuming his fill. Lessor males and females anxiously await their turn and fight each other for dominance and the right to their fair share. The scraps go to the rest.

There is an undercurrent of mounting political pressure in America that changes the face of humanity before our eyes just as absolute corruption corrupts absolutely and the insanity of politics is complete and total madness. It is the way of gangs, groups and political entities. The leader leads and the followers follow until in the midst of a feeding frenzy as mob rule overtakes normal common sense.

In American politics we have two major political parties Democrats and Republicans. They operate very differently, but have ultimately the same end game. The Democratic Party is the party “of the people” in rhetoric only. They use intimidation tactics, the lure of free stuff and threats to keep voters engaged and on the voter rolls. The Republican Party is the party “protecting the rights of the people” while defending the Constitution against assaults from domestic and international terrorists. They appeal to the people to defend their rights, stand for the rule of law and fight against lawlessness. How different are their messages, yet many would rather die than switch, even when faced with insane and irrational thoughts from the left.

Maybe we should take a look at definitions to clearly see whether certain political trains of thought are still on the track at all. According to several differing online sources we will examine the definition of insanity.

According to the Oxford Dictionary – Insanity is a state of being seriously mentally ill; madness; mental illness; mental disorder; mental derangement; insaneness; dementia; lunacy; instability; unsoundness of mind; loss of reason; delirium; hysteria; mania; or craziness.

According to Merriam- Webster – Insanity is a severely disordered state of the mind usually occurring as a specific disorder; unsoundness of mind or lack of the ability to understand that prevents one from having the mental capacity required by law to enter into a particular relationship, status, or transaction or that releases one from criminal or civil responsibility; extreme folly; utterly foolish or unreasonable.

According to Merriam- Webster – Insane is exhibiting a severely disordered state of mind: affected with mental illness; affected with insanity; unable to think in a clear or sensible way; crazy insane with jealousy.

According to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia – Insanity is madness or craziness that describe a spectrum of individual and group behaviors that are characterized by certain abnormal mental or behavioral patterns. Insanity can be manifest as violations of social norms, including a person or persons becoming a danger to themselves or to other people.

According to Dictionary.com – In contemporary usage, the term insanity is an informal, un-scientific term denoting “mental instability”; In English, the word “sane” derives from the Latin adjective sanus meaning “healthy”.  Juvenal’s phrase mens sana in corpore sano is often translated to mean a “healthy mind in a healthy body”.  From this perspective, insanity can be considered as poor health of the mind, not necessarily of the brain as an organ (although that can affect mental health), but rather refers to defective function of mental processes such as reasoning.

A more informal use of the term insanity is to denote something or someone considered highly unique, passionate or extreme, including in a positive sense. The term may also be used as an attempt to discredit or criticize particular ideas, beliefs, principles, desires, personal feelings, attitudes, or their proponents, such as in politics and religion. Thecondition of being insane; a derangement of themind: Legally – suchunsoundness of mind as freesonefromlegalresponsibility, as forcommitting a crime, or as signalsone’slack of legalcapacity, as forenteringinto a contractualagreement.

Psychosis – extreme foolishness; folly; senselessness; foolhardiness; a foolish or senseless action, policy, statement, etc.

I know that’s a lot to digest but in today’s political climate what is coming across in an attempt to appeal to voters are an entire series of things from Abortion is a woman’s reproductive choice; Free medical, housing, education, and food for those who come here illegally and they have the right to vote; Sanctuary cities and states are protecting illegals; Gender is what one feels they are; Immigration is a right; Upholding US law is unconstitutional; and the biggie is Trump is in a cover up by declassifying documents related to the Mueller investigation after battling almost 3 years of false allegations of Russian Collusion.

Is it not time to take a step back and ask what happened to the safety and security of the American people and the sovereignty of the United States of America? The upcoming 2020 Presidential Election will be the most decisive election in American history. With all the blatant corruption in the US Congress unless voters see through the smoke and mirrors and begin voting corrupt officials out of office nothing will substantially improve until political correctness is abolished completely! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Why the Prolonged Push for Impeachment?

Have you ever wondered about that or is it just me? We’ve been hearing it for the past 2 plus years and it started up in earnest just before the mid-term elections. It’s like the neighbors kid out in the garage making music with a single drum……bam…..bam…..bam……bam over and over and over until you either become sensitized to it or call the cops.

So why in 2019 is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi still in the garage with that drum? And why is Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer acting as her wingman? Is there some other agenda being “covered up” and we just can’t see it?

Let’s take a step back and relook at certain events from our most recent past. After President Trump was elected he held the infamous January meeting with congressional leaders to discuss some of the president’s important issues and then House Minority Leader Pelosi made an odd comment about Trump not realizing how much importance she brings to this meeting. That was just before Trump cancelled the meeting.

Ever since then Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader Schumer have led the charge of the light-headed brigade in their ongoing feud against President Trump. They have repeatedly threatened Trump with impeachment, over and over and over again and again. So much so that after the 2018 mid-term elections and Pelosi became House Speaker her call became louder and more frequent. Some might even call it an obsession.

Today I’ve had face-to-face conversions with one of my Republican friends and one of my Democratic friends and in each case the subject of impeachment has come up. As we discussed the pros and cons of it a new revelation became apparent.

It is my belief that the reason that House Speaker Pelosi who is #3 in the line of succession has been so adamant about not only impeaching the President, but also the Vice President. Guess where that would put her……….in the White House! Yup and just as surely as that would happen guess who would be picked to be her Vice President – Chucky Schumer. Now wouldn’t that be a hoot.

That would do two things immediately, first the House Democrats would have to select another speaker and guess who recently “filled in” for madam speaker – AOC! Also the Senate Democrats would have to select another Minority Leader and maybe Cory Booker is looking to apply for that job or maybe Kamala Harris? But they both have their eyes on the prize of White House occupancy.

I’m thinking on the outside chance of that happening, the nation would sink faster than the Titanic in the middle of the Atlantic.

Or

Congress could quit all the waste and abuse of endless investigations and join the President in a bi-partisan effort to fix what ails the nation and the American citizens. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Have You Bought Into The Lie?

The saying “Momma didn’t raise no fool” seems to have been proven false when it comes to present day politics. I’m not naming names or parties but simply watch the latest news feeds, campaign slogans and what is happening across the nation. Everyone’s a liar and nobody’s the wiser.

There are some who think that political figures walk on water and can do no wrong. Granted there are those who all but come out and say they are the “chosen one” and will eradicate all our hurts and life will be so much better…….if you vote for them.

Some of the 2020 presidential hopefuls are promising free tuition if you broke the law and snuck over the border.. I hear some want to give you free healthcare along with a free government check for just providing a valid address of residence and in some cases you can get a free driver’s license without proving you can even drive, and as a bonus a ticket to vote (although it be illegal) in local, state and federal elections.

Others are promising to send you back without that any of that free stuff if you have entered this nation unlawfully.

I’ve watched as politicians say they will legalize prostitution, tear down the wall, disband the Customs and Border Patrol service and throw open the gates of the “promised land” to anyone who comes here regardless of reason or purpose.

Some of the most mind-boggling are those who promise to end tax cuts and raise taxes on the filthy rich. Who in their right mind relishes paying higher taxes to the government? It’s almost funny because many of those advocating for higher taxes for the super-rich are themselves super-rich while working in government as public servants.

Others promise to bring under control Medicare and social security “benefits” because it’s just too costly to care for seniors, unless they have come here illegally and since when are social security payments considered “benefits”? Social Security is paid in by the worker without earning interest and after reaching a point of not being able to work, paid back as installments which in many cases the recipient us unable to collect all funds paid in due to sudden and urgent death.

So I ask “Have you bought into the lie”? Do you believe that those in congress have your best interests in mind? What have they accomplished thus far in their “public service career”?

A simple test is in order:

Have I as a member of congress made life easier, safer and more fulfilling for the voters who voted me into office?

Or have I enriched my own financial portfolio?

Have I truly looked out for the interests of my constituents?

Have I made the United States of America a better place than before I came into political office?

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon to see which way the wind blows, even on a cloudy day. If you listen to all the rhetoric being spewed by the political left, right or center. If you can see what is happening across the country and will admit that things are bad, but getting better then maybe there’s hope for us yet?

Don’t believe any of the he said or she said or they said about anyone. Listen to them with an open mind. Hear them out completely, not out of context. When you go to the polling booth, it’s just between you and that little piece of paper.

Jaded – How Did We Get This Way?

I’m reminded of the story of the lobster in the pot of water placed over a fire. At first the water becomes warm and comfortable. Before long it starts to get quite warm and then as the temperature reaches the boiling point the lobster is past the point of caring until he’s well done.

When I was born Ike was President and Nixon was the Vice President. Both were World War II veterans and America had just come out of a world war and then the Korean War irrupted. They call that the forgotten war because nobody talked about it when they came home.

I was in junior high when Kennedy was elected and assassinated. As I graduated high school our troops had been in Vietnam and coverage of the war was on televisions across the nation and around the world.

We called it the Vietnam War; the Vietnamese called it the American War and history called it the Second Indochina Conflict. Our government sent us to stop the dominoes from falling in Southeast Asia; Hollywood elites made publicity stints into the camps of our enemies and our media stoked the fires of division and hate. Our troops became public enemy #1; called baby killers and distained by the so called educated who distanced themselves from military service. Our Congress ended military funding of the war and our allies suffered greatly as they were defeated by shear overwhelming odds.

In the years that followed our military has been over-taxed around the world by wars and rumors of wars. Those who chastised us upon return from war became the finishing school indoctrinators, tenured college professors and university deans and the shaming of America continues. Protestors of yesteryear became state and national legislators and even a president.

Our country has been attacked overseas and at home and yet our congress lacks the ability or the will to place the American people’s safety and security first. It seems that their only priority is no priorities. They have become mired down in the muddy swamp of political correctness and all that matters to some are power and control over the American people at any cost.

It stands to reason that one doesn’t look to a student to bring about substantive change especially when there is no vision or series of goals to measure accomplishment. It takes an electrician to run electrical wiring to meet code; it takes a mason to properly set concrete; and it takes a builder to build a house that will withstand the elements and the forces of nature. It is desired that a trained paramedic or firefighter show up at the scene of an accident or injury or a police officer stop a robbery.

There are legislators who were elected into political office when John Kennedy was president, have spent their entire lifetime on the public dole and have watched this political pot come to a boil without anything substantive coming out of their work. The have accumulated power and prestige and in many cases a sizable financial bankroll, but cannot close loopholes or fix problems inherent to our current immigration problems. If they are looking into a tunnel, they cannot see any light at the other end and now want us to believe they are the answer?

President Donald Trump has stepped up to the plate, not because he needed anything the Oval Office had to offer, but because he loves America and saw that a change in direction was required to save the nation from destruction. His priority has been to American citizens. His vision has been relentless. He knows how to get results and failure is not an option. America has been given a second chance at restoring prosperity and leadership. Jobs are plentiful and corporations have returned to American soil. Our standing in world affairs has improved dramatically as world leaders know what to expect with President Trump. What exactly is your problem with Trump, his direct straight from the heart talk that hurt your feelings? Maybe he threatened to take away your favorite toy?

There are so many failed politicians who really do think they are all that and a bag of chips. They think because Trump did it, they can do it better. They think because they are qualified they are therefore the best choice for America. They are not.

I have looked through the list of presidential candidates for the upcoming 2020 election and some are running just to be running. Others are going to give it their best shot against Trump. Still others are in the race because they can. I have not seen, heard or read one single candidate who has the experience, fortitude or vision or can even articulate a viable plan for a better America; not one!

We have become so jaded that we believe everything we hear, see or read. What I have heard is Stop Trump; free stuff & vote for me! That’s it.

Everything else is just rambling, higher taxes – who wants to pay more taxes? Socialism – who doesn’t see Venezuela failing before your eyes? Climate Change – The climate changes constantly, but nothing even radical will keep it from naturally changing. Trying to link Women’s rights to justify abortion – is ludicrous. Murdering a child in the womb or after birth is still Murder.

No person has the right to end the life of another, for convenience or any other reason. Even in instances of rape or unplanned sex. The only protected sex is NO SEX until after marriage between a man and a woman.  God creates life and every life has a purpose. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
