The Congress of the United States

The Congress of the United States

116th Congress 2017 – Present

What is Congress?

The United States Congress is the bicameral legislature of the Federal Government of the United States. The legislature consists of two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate. www.congress.gov

What is a Caucus?

A closed meeting of a group of persons belonging to the same political party or faction usually to select candidates or to decide on policy a presidential caucus; also: a group of people united to promote an agreed-upon cause. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/caucus

I though it important to present the above definitions in light of the current number of Congressional Caucuses in operation today. As of 24 September 2018 there are at least 262 Congressional Caucuses making Capitol Hill in Washington quite literally one huge political swamp. Even the internet (World Wide Web) seems dwarfed in comparison.

We have a finite number of legislators – 435 in the House, 100 in the Senate. It is a given that every member of the 116th Congress belongs to at least 1 Caucus and is a wonder that anything gets accomplished at all. I haven’t even touched on the number of days per year that Congress is in session.

Powder Keg

When you liken Congress to a keg of gunpowder (Google it), the main stream media is the fuse, with journalists/talk show hosts matches and lighters, and every word, deed or action from President Trump as a spark one can easily see the combustible mix just waiting to explode on a daily, sometimes minute by minute basis.

Progressivism

Former President Barack Obama also recently spoke to ALL Congressional Freshmen in the House of Representatives. I asked myself – Why? Was it to give them a warm fuzzy about being elected into Congress? Or was it the community organizer in him that had to take all of these hot pistols (flashes in the pan if you will) and organize and invite them to become part of an effective Progressive political team?

Progressives were the topic recently used by former President Barack Obama as he made his appearance recently on the world stage in Europe and in America. He spoke as one still in authority, but that was community activism on a much bigger stage. I began thinking – Why was Obama speaking in Europe at all? By whose authority did he speak?

Let us look at the catch phrase word of today – Progressivism.

Congressional Progressive Caucus

That brings me to the Congressional Progressive Caucus which is a caucus WITHIN the Democratic Congressional Caucus WITHIN the United States Congress. So what is the CPC? The CPC is a left-leaning organization that works to advance progressive and liberal issues and positions and represents the progressive faction of the Democratic Party.

Founding

It was founded in 1991 (keep in mind who was President and what was going on in 1991) by six Representatives: Ron Dellums (D-CA), Lane Evans (D-IL), Thomas Andrews (D-ME), Peter DeFazio (D-OR), Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Additional House members joined soon thereafter, including Major Owens (D-NY), Nydia Velazquez (D-NY), David Bonior (D-MI), Bob Filner (D-CA), Barney Frank (D-MA), Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), Jim McDermott (D-WA), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Patsy Mink (D-HI), George Miller (D-CA), Pete Stark (D-CA), John Olver (D-MA), Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). Sanders was the convener and first CPC Chairman. Bill Goold served as Staff Coordinator for the Progressive Caucus in its early years until 1998.

Concerns

The founding members of the CPC were concerned about the economic hardship imposed by the deepening recession and the growing inequality brought about by the timidity of the Democratic Party response in the early 1990s. On January 3, 1995 at a standing room only news conference on Capitol Hill, they were the first group inside Congress to chart a detailed, comprehensive legislative alternative to U.S. Speaker Newt Gingrich and the Republican Contract with America, which they termed “the most regressive tax proposals and reactionary social legislation the Congress had before it in 70 years”. The CPC’s ambitious agenda was framed as “The Progressive Promise: Fairness”.

Ideology

The CPC advocates “universal access to affordable, high quality healthcare” (universal healthcare or single-payer healthcare), fair trade agreements, living wage laws, the right of all workers to organize into labor unions and engage in collective bargaining, the abolition of the USA PATRIOT Act, the legalization of same-sex marriage, U.S. participation in international treaties such as the climate change related Kyoto Accords, responsible reductions in profligate military expenditure, strict campaign finance reform laws, a crackdown on corporate welfare and influence, an increase in income tax rates on upper-middle and upper class households, tax cuts for the poor and an increase in welfare spending by the federal government. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congressional_Progressive_Caucus

As of the 116th Congress the Congressional Progressive Caucus has grown to 96 members out of 235 Democratic members of the House with 27 being members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

Congressional Caucus

A congressional caucus is a group of members of the United States Congress that meets to pursue common legislative objectives. Formally, caucuses are formed as congressional member organizations (CMOs) through the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate and governed under the rules of these chambers. In addition to the term caucus, they are sometimes called conferences (especially Republican ones), coalitions, study groups, task forces, or working groups.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congressional_caucus

The Congress of the United States has become overly corrupt by allowing the widespread use of Caucuses to influence policy to the detriment of America’s working class by the creation of a newly formed Non-Working Non-Citizen Class. I have yet to breakdown the number of Caucuses controlled by political parties but it seems that a great many are Democratic Party entities which in the House are mainly funded by taxpayers. The aim of the so called “Peoples Party” (Democrats) is the rigid control and exploitation of the people (voters, taxpayers and all others) while demanding their praise and allegiance. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Hidden Agenda Exposed

Ilhan_Omar,_official_portrait,_116th_Congress.jpg

4-13-2019

Hidden Agenda Exposed

This is a look into the political life of one of America’s newest legislators Representative Ilhan Omar – Democrat, 5th Congressional District of Minnesota. Omar was born in Raas Cabaad (Mogadishu), Somalia on October 4, 1981, entered the US in 1992 and applied for asylum in 1995 as a Somali refugee. Omar became a naturalized US citizen in 2000, and was elected Representative in the Minnesota State Legislature in 2012. Omar was then elected to the US House of Representatives in 2018 and sworn in on January 3, 2019 becoming the first Somali-American Muslim woman elected to the US Congress. I speculate about her rapid rise into the Congress of the United States much the same way that former President Barack Hussain Obama entered and rose to power on the American political scene.

From Wikipedia on Rep. Ilhan Omar:

A member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Omar has advocated for a living wage, affordable housing and healthcare, student loan debt forgiveness, the protection of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, and abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She has strongly opposed the immigration policies of the Donald Trump administration, including the Trump travel ban. A frequent critic of Israel, Omar has denounced its settlement policy and military campaigns in the occupied Palestinian territories, and what she describes as the influence of pro-Israel lobbies such as AIPAC.

Political positions

Omar supports free tuition for college students and greater accessibility to student loan forgiveness programs,[54] Medicare for All as proposed in the Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act,[10][55] in favor of the abolition of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency,[56] prosecuting federal officials who have been accused of physical and sexual assault of people in their detention,[57] protection of sanctuary cities and a path to permanent status for DREAMers and their families,[56] opposes efforts to seal the border.

Omar has been critical of U.S. foreign policy and called to reduce funding for “perpetual war and military aggression”,[61] has criticized Saudi Arabia‘s human rights abuses and the Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen.[66][67]

In a Washington Post op-ed, Omar wrote, “Our criticisms of oppression and regional instability caused by Iran are not legitimate if we do not hold Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to the same standards. And we cannot continue to turn a blind eye to repression in Saudi Arabia—a country that is consistently ranked among the worst of the worst human rights offenders.”[63] She also condemned the Assad regime in Syria.[69]

Regarding Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, a far-right politician criticized for misogynistic, homophobic, anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim views. Omar has voiced support for a two-state solution to resolve the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.[68][63] She criticized Israel’s settlement building in the occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank.[77] Omar was endorsed in 2018 by the Human Rights Campaign, a major LGBT civil rights advocacy group. In response to the endorsement, Omar stated, “I will fight for LGBTQIA+ rights in Washington D.C.”[95]

Omar supports a $15 hourly minimum wage.[96][10]

In January 2019, amid the 2019 Venezuelan presidential crisis, Omar joined Democrats in denouncing the Trump administration’s decision to recognize Juan Guaidó, the president of the Venezuelan National Assembly, as Venezuela’s interim president.[97] In February 2019 Omar questioned whether Elliott Abrams, whom Trump appointed as Special Representative for Venezuela in January 2019.

According to her official website:

Rep. Omar is an experienced Twin Cities [Minneapolis] policy analyst, organizer and public speaker and advocate. She is the first woman of color to represent Minnesota, and one of the first two Muslim-American women elected to Congress.

Rep. Omar plans to focus on tackling many issues….like investing in education and freeing students from the shackles of debt, ensuring a fair wage for a hard day’s work, creating a just immigration system and tackling the existential threat of climate change. She plans to resist attempts to divide us and push destructive policies that chip away at our rights and freedoms – and to build a more inclusive and compassionate culture, one that will allow our economy to flourish and encourage more Americans to participate in our democracy.

Rep. Omar was born in Somalia, and her family fled the country’s civil war when she was eight. The family spent four years in a refugee camp in Kenya before coming to the United States in the 1990s. In 1997 she moved to Minneapolis with her family. As a teenager her grandfather inspired her to get involved in politics. Before running for office she worked as a community educator at the University of Minnesota, was a Policy Fellow at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and served as a Senior Policy Aide for the Minneapolis City Council.

In 2016 she was elected as the Minnesota House Representative for District 60B, making her the highest-elected Somali-American public official in the United States and the first Somali-American State Legislator. Rep. Omar served as the Assistant Minority Leader, with assignments to three house committees: Civil Law & Data Practices Policy, Higher Education & Career Readiness Policy and Finance, and State Government Finance. Her home is in Minneapolis with her husband and three children.

It’s important to note the grooming she has had during her relatively short residency in the United States and how quickly she has fully grasps the Democratic ideology. Her focus since 2016 into the Minnesota state legislature and her rise in 2019 to the US House of Representatives although impressive should send red flags in all directions for all Americans. Omar may see herself as a pioneer of minority women in politics. I however see her positioning herself to replace House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the very near political future.

I question her intentions and her allegiance to the United States of America. I have not heard her acknowledge or affirm her oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Based upon her political views I do consider her a very real threat to the sovereignty of this country. She has opposed virtually every policy that enhances the American people she represents and openly supports what amounts to open immigration that would reduce the Constitutional-Republic status of the United States into a sanctuary nation.

I submit to you that a nation without borders, an established rule of law or national identity is not a nation at all and legislators who choose resistance rather than problem solving legislation are not legislators at all. What this country needs are patriots with a passion for building up America without bankrupting its citizens or forcing them into slave labor through intimidation and fear tactics.

Historically democratic or social-democratic governments strip away human dignity and divert important and necessary resources away from their intended recipients and end up propping up dictators and enhancing their personal finances. Look at financial aid freely given and sent to nations in distress due to disasters and conflicts, many times the aid sits in warehouses and doled out for financial gain at many levels.

The same can be said here in the United States, democratically controlled states, counties, cities and municipalities are the leaders in personal loss of liberty and freedom of its citizens while crime levels rise and the only way seen to remedy is increase taxes, restrict personal rights and demand re-election. This ought not to be. Although not perfect, the United States of America is by far the greatest nation on earth by design. Like any chain or architectural pillar it is only as strong as its weakest link or weakest foundational point. If you are not working to become the solution, you are most likely the problem! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

My Thoughts on American Politics for 2020

4-12-2019

My Thoughts on American Politics for 2020

Those who know me and for you who do not I have been following media commentaries and events leading up to the 2020 US Presidential Campaign.

There are two kinds of people running for the office of President of the United States.

  1. Qualified yet unfit for the highest political office
    2. Qualified and currently serving in the highest political office

Not everyone who jumps into the pool can swim. Some do it for attention, others for sympathy and still others because they can and a very select few because of necessity.

The US political process has been corrupted for a long time, so long in fact that we (the American people) have been blind to its corruption. We are continually fed channeled information thru the various media outlets. I venture to say that most of what we read, hear or see is far from the truth.

We are told that Democrats are destroying the country that we love.

We are told that Republicans are destroying the country that we love.

I believe that American politicians (backed by greedy, power hungry and extremely wealthy individuals) are causing division in America in order to maintain their normal political power and business as usual way of life in politics.

American politics has become a magnet for Social-Democrats and Left Leaning Communistic or Muslim Politicians bent on destroying the American way of life in the country that we love. They seem determined on turning back the clock and making the United States of America nothing more than another third rate political country.

What America needs for 2020 is a complete make-over of our political process.

Politicians are voted into office by the American people (US citizens) and must remember who sent them and what we (the voters) have sent them to do (preserve the US Constitution and represent the American people).

America is still a place where anyone can come, adapt to our way of life, work hard to provide a better life for them and their families, and proceed on the path to citizenship and thereby obtain their American Dream.

What has changed in recent years is the fact that people with a very different ideology are focusing on destroying our American way of life and are being supported by American Politicians AND in many cases by a portion of the American people who don’t seem to know or care about the safeguards built into the US Constitution.

Unless you are a Veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States, a member of the Legislative, Judicial or Executive branches of government, you may not have sworn to (or taken) the oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies (foreign or domestic). No matter how you feel about politics or political parties, Veterans knows the oath they have taken and there is on expiration date.

I don’t believe all the hype or negativity that’s being passed on as “truth” about any one running for office.

The 2020 election has brought out what amounts to a bowl of political fruit salad with Democratic Party candidates who favor eliminating the physical border separating the US and Mexico, eliminating Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), further violating the Constitution by doing away with the Electoral College safeguard, approving abortion (even after birth), lowering the voting age to 16, allowing illegal immigrants to vote, providing free college tuition to illegal immigrants, harassing and intimidating minority voters to vote Democrat (this list is not all inclusive or complete by any means).

From the Republican Party there are those who feel voters need a choice with yet unnamed candidates who may appeal to traditional political values.

As for President Donald Trump, his message is clear, secure our borders by enforcing the Rule of Law to make America Safe Again, while strengthening the US economy through jobs and products produced in America. His America First vision is to place top priority on American values and protecting the US Constitution. His re-election is second only to his love for the country. To me results matter.

As a Veteran I cannot, nor will not support someone as my commander and chief who is incompetent as demonstrated by their political track record or campaign rhetoric.

My litmus test of a good leader is someone who surrounds themselves with experienced and/or qualified people; listens to their advice; makes good solid decisions and takes full responsibility for those decisions; unafraid to make top down changes when needed ; and does not bask in someone else’s glory or plays the political blame game.

A leader must inspire trust and confidence to those who follow, as well as fear for those who would plan harm against the country or people of the United States.

It’s been said over and over that somebody has to do something to change the direction this country is headed in. Well I’m somebody and my vote counts.

I will not vote not for a business as usual career politician whose interest is maintaining control or power at my expense in order to stay in office.

After more than 2 years in office my vote is still for Donald Trump, who as an outsider in politicals has the fortitude and determination to make decisive changes American government, so that America becomes that beacon of hope and light that our founding fathers saw as they laid down their very lives.

My trust is in God Almighty, who rises kings up and brings kings and world leaders down. Nothing escapes Him. Everyone is accountable to Him. God Bless President Donald J. Trump and God Bless the United States of America. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Putting the Cart Before the Horse

4-11-2019

Putting the Cart Before the Horse

Remember the sayings – Don’t count your chickens before they hatch; don’t spend what you don’t have; don’t burn the bridge behind you; or don’t bite the hand that feeds you? Well there’s another one that would fit right in with those, don’t accuse others of what you are guilty of – it might come back to bite you.

We’ve heard from the deep state actors who are part of the Washington DC swamp that Donald Trump is not fit to serve as President or any public office for that matter. We constantly hear it from the likes of Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Shuck Schumer, Diane Feinstein, Maxine Waters, Elijah Cummings and many others who claim to be intellectually superior not only to Donald Trump but every one of his supporters who Hillary so aptly called a “bucket of deplorables”. From the sidelines and surfacing on the world stage are the likes of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John Kerry, Al Gore who are each past their prime in politics and have been rendered of no consequence because at the end of the day Donald Trump is still our president and theirs too.

I imagine the rise of Donald Trump to that of Tom Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible from that undisclosed location when Trump got a call not from Mr. Phelps but from above, “Your mission should you choose to accept it is to be my wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness and to restrain evil in the world” (loosely paraphrased by me).

The pivotal point not only in the life of Donald Trump, but in the history of the world came when he (a sinner) accepted that assignment not because of anything that he had done by his own merit but by the grace of Almighty God answering earnest prayer from prayer warriors who fell on their faces before God seeking divine intervention for America.

Biblical scholars and bible readers alike cannot overlook the way God has historically taken men who are seemingly insignificant and unworthy to accomplish his purposes. In each case worldly men have scoffed at, heckled and ridiculed those chosen by God for a specific purpose. The bible tells us that God’s ways are higher than the ways of man and that our brains cannot contain what God has in store for us.

It should come as no surprise when the counter response was instantaneous and total as the forces of darkness came against first the political campaign and second the presidency of Donald Trump from the start. What is equally no surprise is the man whom God chose is one who is not easily distracted or swayed.

In that God is the creator with an unlimited and infinite toolbox from which to choose why are we surprised that God chose an established builder and gave him the tools with which to restrain evil and bring about the self-destruction of the spirit of political correctness in America.

Talk about putting the cart before the horse the liberal left in American politics began declaring the unfitness of a “self-made” man to be President of the United States. So loudly did they declare this untruth that it exposed them for what they really were – unfit themselves for the political offices they held and using all the tools at their disposal they began a constant barrage against the will of the people, the American voters who chose Donald Trump, but against the seemingly unseen hand of Almighty God. It is no surprise that they failed even before they began, yet they keep trying while digging a deeper hole for themselves.

I’m not saying that Donald Trump is a perfect man, because only one was perfect and that was Jesus who was the Christ, Son of Man and Son of God. What I am saying is that Donald Trump is the perfect man for THIS job and at THIS time as President of the United States of America.

Political Correctness has attacked the pillars and the very foundation of this nation which God established and for HIS purpose. Never before or since has a nation been founded upon biblical principles as stated in the US Constitution. Our form of government has never been duplicated nor had the success of that of the United States.

There are several hundreds of nations in existence in the world today. Each one is governed by those who seek personal gain and profit by exerting power over people. There is constant infighting and bloodshed and life is of no consequence or value. Transitioning between national leaders is often done with extreme bloodshed. Human misery and suffering are great and unbearable.

We have come to a point in the history of the United States where government is corrupt. Those on the left are running wild and flaunting every fantasy imaginable from ignoring the sanctity of life, aborting humans every minute of every day with the greatest of ease to the willful enslavement of entire segments of society by offering free food, housing, medical, education and even paying for those unwilling to work. Minorities are consider below the level of competent thought processes and expected to use the power of their vote to enhance those in political power over them.

There are those on the political right who haven’t the courage or intestinal fortitude to stand up to those powerful forces of evil or secure in their Christian salvation to acknowledge and call on the forces of God to defeat the ungodly. It is not by might or by power but by my Spirit says the Lord of Hosts!

Just as prayer warriors fell on their faces seeking divine intervention, we must also continue to trust in Almighty God for HIS peace which passes all understanding. We must depend upon God and his strength to overpower the enemy. This is a battle for the soul of America.

God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of joy, peace and a sound mind. God did not raise up a Billy Graham-style leader in President Trump whose shoot from the hip and straight to the heart of the matter without mincing words language does not at all seem biblical. What God did give America was a man to was obedient when called and had striven to complete the task he has been given. I have said it before and I’ll say it again now, that when Donald J. Trump is in the perfect will of God, doing what he has been sent to do there is nothing that can stop him.

Draining the swamp was more than a campaign slogan to Donald Trump, it is a mission that will be tackled with until the hold of political correctness has been broken in America and evil has been restrained. Based upon the past 2+years it is foreseeable that it may take more than 2 more years and that’s fine because with God all things are possible. What came first the chicken or the egg? – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Enemy of the State

4-10-2019

Enemy of the State

In 1998 Will Smith’s character is targeted for an assassination cover up and he becomes public enemy #1 or the enemy of the state. It’s an action thriller and didn’t do so well at the box office, but at the time it was worth watching. We’ve become accustomed to having the term “enemy of the state” thrown around so much so that it has become cliché.

Anyone who is serving or has served in the US military has taken “the oath” prior to being sworn in. Public servants and those serving in public office also take “the oath” although differing slightly in a nutshell it basically states “I will defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic”.

As children we learned “the pledge of allegiance” and began our school day reciting it together, facing the flag and holding our right hand over our hearts. It established our commitment to our country (the United States) and to our flag (Old Gory) and it became part of “The American Way of Life”.

Fast forward to 2019 where Political Correctness has completely taken over American politics AND the American Way of Life to the extent that there are those in public office who do not ascribe to swearing their allegiance to America which is a requirement to serve in public office.

Will Smith’s character named as Enemy of the State is not so far-fetched however in today’s society the state has become the enemy of the state. Government is both the savior and the villain of the American people. Even the American people themselves are not considered the enemy of the state when they verbalize disagreement or anger over illegal immigrants being handed free stuff at the expense of American taxpayers, who are excluded altogether.

Various state legislators approve millions of dollars to allow illegal immigrants free education, housing, food, medical and even social security benefits while refusing those same benefits to American citizens in need. Cities and municipalities bend over backwards allowing homeless immigrants to live in squalor on American streets without sanitation, water of even restrictions on trash. They live at the same level as they did back in their home countries and contribute nothing toward the betterment of themselves, their communities or the nation as a whole.

In many states there are immigrant being elected into public office and shadow police forces enforcing Sharia Law on American citizens while the Rule of Law and the Constitution is simply ignored. This is not “The American Way of Life” or the intent of the founders of this nation or the signers of the US Constitution.

What has been forgotten is that citizenship is a privilege many immigrants strive to attain after coming to America. They work hard at raising their families, running businesses and assimilating into American society while retaining a bit of their culture so their families know where they came from and what is important.

What has also been forgotten is that citizenship can be revoked and immigrants can be deported and even banned from reentry into the United States while losing their US held assets, homes and businesses?

We are seeing a number of federal and state officials failing to uphold their oaths of office, while becoming vocal at giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States, a treasonous offense worthy of prosecution. These individuals have become accustomed to speaking their minds in their local communities where distain for the government flows freely. They are blatantly unaware of the fact that their conduct is not acceptable even on the national scale.

The time for action is now. Legislators need to act as legislators; law enforcement as law enforcement; prosecutors as prosecutors and every single one has the personal responsibility to act professionally and with honor as they represent successes of the way of life in America – the American Dream. This nation was built with immigrants who went on to become citizens of the United States of America.

It takes strong leaders, men and women of character to take action and do the right thing because it is the right thing to do, disregarding criticism and focusing on the end result and failure is not an option.

In 1787 a lady asked Dr. Benjamin Franklin. “Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy?”

Benjamin Franklin is reported to have replied, “A republic if you can keep it.”

We are not a monarchy, a democracy or simply a republic either. The United States of America is the only nation in the world that is a Constitutional-Republic where the Rule of Law is governed by the US Constitution, which was written based upon biblical principles.

There are some who ignore the Constitution and feel that they and they alone determine what is or isn’t the Rule of Law in America. Others want to change that which restricts their imposing undo power or privilege upon American citizens. Still others want to redefine how we elect the president by eliminating the Electoral College.

When we cease to abide by the US Constitution, ignore the Rule of Law and open this nation up to the whims of a few we will no longer be the Land of the Free or the Home of the Brave. We will have gone the way of Rome and other civilizations where greed outweighed common sense.

We are one nation under God. Without God we are nothing! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

The Problem with Chicago Politics

2-9-2019

The Problem with Chicago Politics

Jussie Smollett Got the Same Deal As a Non-Celeb … Says Prosecutor Kim Foxx

Something stinks in Chicago and it smells like politics gone bad. Ever since Jussie Smollett reported to Chicago police that he had been attacked by 2 white red hat MAGA gay hate spewing assailants things didn’t ring true.

Less than 2 months later and after much investigation charges were brought against Smollett for falsely reporting a hate crime when it was found that he hired two black actors who were seen on video purchasing the hats and other items reportedly used in the attack.

Then just as quickly all charges were dropped and the case sealed by Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx after Smollett was released on $10,000 bond which was then forfeited to the city of Chicago and Smollett had already performed community service at Jesse Jackson’s ministry in Chicago. This was presented as a form of alternative sentencing which Kim Foxx detailed as the way the law works in Chicago in as many as almost 600 other cases involving non-high profile celebrity cases.

Things went from bad to worse after it was discovered that Tina Tchen (Michelle Obama’s former Chief of Staff) made contact with Kim Foxx, whom she knew from working together previously. Tina Tchen said her sole activity was to put the chief prosecutor in the case in touch with an alleged victim’s family (who was a family friend) about concerns on how the investigation was being played out in public.

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s office claims the public doesn’t understand how the law works. In fact the confusion comes from those who are on the outside and don’t understand the intricacies of the justice system concerning alternative prosecution or diversion or alternate outcomes outside of prison or lengthy probation and “the likelihood someone would get prison for a Class 4 felony is slim”.

The First Assistant to the Cook County State’s Attorney Joseph Magats told reporters that “prosecutors dropped the case because Smollett doesn’t have a violent criminal history and lying about the alleged attack was NOT a violent crime”.

Foxx told reporters that “everyone in their office backs the police investigation and believes Jussie staged the attack.” But she said “you don’t typically see people “give up $10,000 of their hard earned money” unless they’re being held accountable for something”. You can read more about it here: https://www.tmz.com/2019/03/27/kim-foxx-defends-dropping-case-against-jussie-smollett/

Now I’m not from Chicago and I don’t understand how there is such a high crime rate UNLESS it is these types of prosecution-less crimes that are handled in the same manner. I’ve watched enough Law and Order and Blue Bloods on television to have a basic understanding that in order to be held accountable one must be entered into the criminal justice system and processed through the judicial system where by one is given a speedy trial as guaranteed by the Constitution. Bond is sometimes given when released to insure the accused shows up for trial.

Once the accused is convicted there is a sentencing phase where the judge determines the appropriate sentence along with the recommendations of the state’s attorney.

It is unheard of to think that alternate punishment, the forfeiting of bond money, and/or community service would happen BEFORE or IN LIEU of a trial even in Chicago. If in fact this is the norm procedure as Kim Foxx indicated and her office concurred then the other 600 previous cases were NOT handled or prosecuted properly or within the Rule of Law. This appears to be a great miscarriage of justice.

The fact that Kim Foxx ran on a platform to clean up lawlessness in Cook County and if this is the after effect I’d hate to think of what justice was like before her election as the first black female State’s Attorney. How in the world can she or anyone in Cook County ever think this is proper procedure? – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Congress is Politically Constipated

4-9-2019

Congress is Politically Constipated

I turned on my television briefly this morning and decided that politics as usual was not what I wanted to hear first thing. As I began to press the off button I heard the commentator say that congress was politically constipated. What a refreshing thought about the democratically controlled House and the republican controlled Senate having had no substantial bowel movement in well over 2 years since the election of President Trump. At times there seems to be movement in congress but it’s simply a self-induced enema as one more democrat has a sudden burst of energy and feels that he or she alone should be the next president of the United States. What may be needed is a huge bottle of hot sauce spoon fed to each and every member of congress.

There are so many issues on the table, immigration, border security, economy, trade, tariffs, natural disasters, earthquakes, fires and so much more yet in spite of it all the political constipation of congress is mind boggling. There is only one thing that seems to unite the far left with the far right and that is summed up in one word “Trump”.

The president tells congress to fix immigration and rather than take action, the democratic talking heads go to the nearest press briefing to chastise the president on tearing children out of the arms of refugees seeking asylum. The president issues an executive order and a judge from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals issues an order blocking the presidential executive order.

On Twitter when Donald Trump blocks a follower, they run to the court to sue for access to post on his Twitter feed. A judge issues a court order preventing Donald Trump from blocking anyone on his Twitter account. Insanity runs amok, that’s what it has become.

No matter the context when the president acts presidentially the congress acts childish and demands Trump’s tax records to what end? Do they want to know how many millions of dollars he paid the IRS over the past 5 years or longer? What do they expect to learn, how to hire an accountant?

The president asks for $5B to fund the wall and congress stalls and says the wall is stupid and it’s cheaper to pay $4B a year to pay for illegal immigrant expenses while they are in the US illegally pending their court hearing. The president issues guidance that those seeking refugee status must wait until after their court date before being allowed into the US to see a judge and a 9th Circuit Court Judge issues a court order countermanding the presidential order. Congressional democrats suggest that the president must create jobs in other countries so that their citizens will not want to come to the USA – Insane politics.

American voters must take a huge dose of Milk of Magnesia and wait for overnight relief while the incompetent politicians are flushed out of congress like you would empty a toilet. Then rather than fill up the congress with more incompetent mindless politicians, maybe elect mature American citizens who are not so easily taken in by the perks of public service.

The 116th Congress has a lot of new faces as freshmen legislators from all walks of life have taken their seats and are flexing their newfound political muscles. Some of these newbies should sit, watch and wait for their time to shine otherwise they will be left standing there with political egg on their faces. There is no room in congress for hair-brained, clueless politicians or those who have become experts simply because they have been elected to public service. Many of the old-timers, you know the political matriarchs and patriarchs will soon tire of the efforts of these new kids on their block and will make the newbies lives miserable and nobody wants that.

The 2020 election cycle is flushing (pun intended) some of the oddest rubbish one could imagine out of congress. Everyone is a clown. Everyone has ideas about what everyone else ought to do. Some want to legitimize every thought or imagination while de-legalizing or making the Rule of Law illegal. When presidential candidates fight each other over the rights of women to abort and declare everyone who disagrees with their slanted views as racists or worse there will be no way that current Democratic Party politics can foster the support needed to win a presidential election next year. The fervor and pace of the swamp draining is revealing some very telling skeletons in some very private closets in Washington.

Yesterday I heard an interesting poll result showing that Bernie is #2 in the Democratic Party race for 2020 following closely behind Joe Biden who has not officially thrown his hat in the ring yet and following closely behind Bernie is the failed Georgia governor candidate who also has not officially entered the race? Bernie in the front running against to “not yet” candidates, how interesting is that?

The other candidates are like spaghetti that has been thrown against the wall and the pieces still hanging are the ones in the race.

Remember in 2016 on the Republican side there were 16 or 17 well qualified political candidates running before Trump swept in for the nomination and the presidency. The 2020 Democratic field is like a baker’s dozen of hopefuls who are qualified, just not well qualified and many couldn’t lead a horse to water if they were standing knee deep in it. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Reparations versus Repatriations

booker harris SCOTUS hearing

4-9-2019

Reparations versus Repatriations

Here’s a little food for thought it appears that Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) has introduced a reparations commission bill in the Senate. This is a bill aimed at having the heirs of those who profited from slavery pay a yet undetermined amount of funds to the heirs of those who were slaves. It sounds straight forward doesn’t it? If your family or business profited from slavery, you must pay those whose family members were used as slaves from before the nation existed up until slavery was abolished or until slaves were indeed freed or some pre-determined cutoff date.

Immediately one thinks of the hundreds and thousands of black Africans who were taken from their homeland and transported around the world and onto the North American continent by those dirty slave traders and slave ships with inadequate facilities for transporting cattle, let alone human beings.

Senator Booker is a member of the racist Congressional Black Caucus that restricts membership to members of congress based upon their skin color or national origin. One must be black to be a member of the CBC and they have a number of committees dealing with African nations and people, as well as with those of African descent. The CBC is really good at telling others how to be, act and do without so much as a second thought about the racism of their own organization and their own members.

This is the definition of Reparation

  • the making of amends for a wrong one has done, by paying money to or otherwise helping those who have been wronged: “the courts required a convicted offender to make financial reparation to his victim”
  • the action of repairing something: “the old hall was pulled down to avoid the cost of reparation”

My question is what will this accomplish or how will this make anything right? How can one make amends for a wrong done by an ancestor? You can’t. How can you make a sincere apology for anyone else? You can’t. Who makes the determination that enough is enough? Not even possible, the bible tells us that greed is never satisfied. I see there are those who think of this as winning the lottery. They will get all of this money coming to them and they’ve already spent it in their minds, big cars, fancy jewelry, a big house and lots of things.

Let us look back at what is not being said, there were many hundreds and thousands of white Europeans and yellow Asians who were brought to North America specifically to work in the mines, railroad and as household servants. These are people of color other than black (in fact black is not a color, but the absence of color). The word used by Latin and Spanish speakers to describe these dark people was Negro (Black). That was how they were described up until the early 1970’s when the word Negro was no longer acceptable and they insisted on being called Black (A fruitless argument if you take it at face value).

As political correctness began to take over everything Negro and Black were no longer acceptable and everyone began hyphenating their ethnic or national origin as African-American became the only acceptable term.

Today in America everyone is a hyphenated-American and those who disagree with you politically are Racist-Americans (still hyphenated). Political Correctness is a divider in any society it gains a foothold.

Even in the women’s movement when a woman marries she may hyphenate her maiden-married name to show equal-ness with men? This political correctness is still a divider.

I want to put forth something that will help those who are unhappily living in the United States and constantly feeling disenfranchised from a society that they feel is not welcoming of them due to their national identity or ethnicity.

Let me introduce the word Repatriation which is the return of someone to their own country: “the voluntary repatriation of the disenfranchised or the unwelcomed”.

We who are Americans are here by birth and/or by choice. To paraphrase Forrest Gump, life is NOT a box of chocolates. We are each given a life and it is up to us whether we make it a good life or not. It is our responsibility to become productive members of society or failing that go somewhere that we feel we can become productive members.

The Constitution of the United States of America is the Rule of Law and is based upon biblical principles. When followed properly the Constitution enables all members of our society to live peacefully one with another. There will always be those who feel the need to test the societal boundaries to the extent that they will be forced to endure the consequences of their actions.

The Constitution does not endorse nor establish political parties and not all political parties are equal. If your party of choice promotes lawlessness or riotous living and flaunts living outside or above the law you might reconsider that choice. If your party of choice endorses and requires following the Rule of Law as it is defined by the Constitution you have made the right choice. There is no place in society for social bullying, intimidation or threats of violence. Anyone remember Rodney King’s plea “Can’t we all just get along”?

In the words of President Donald J. Trump – “It’s a very imperfect world, and you can’t always choose your friends. That’s life. But you can never fail to recognize your enemies.” – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Perceptions Altered Reality

4-7-2019

Perceptions Altered Reality

What do you think of when asked about drugs in relation to South America – Cartels, Cocaine, Marijuana to name a few? How good are you at geography? Name the country you consider to be the drug capital in that region – Brazil, Columbia, Mexico, Venezuela?

Do you remember what journalism used to be like? Is it now a thing of the past or in the internet age has blogging turned reporters and journalists into nothing more than opinion editorialists? Have journalists simply lowered their standards? It is important to know and recognize when someone is playing fast and loose with the truth. If you base your decisions on someone else’s manufactured version of the truth there is plenty of room for error.

The hot button topic of immigration produces the latest talking points as we near the 2020 presidential election in the United States. We are told that it’s a sin to stop refugees who are fleeing persecution. We are also told that it’s racist to keep people out of our country based on national origin. If you believe all the hype (that’s exactly what it is) on the subject of immigration we are told that walls don’t work and everyone has the right to the American dream.

Have you ever stopped to think that controlled immigration is a national priority and a necessity for national security and every country in the world controls migration and for the same reasons – safety, security and national sovereignty? It is illegal to enter most countries without proper documentation. Although the penalties vary, violators are deported and in certain instances banned from re-entry or imprisoned for life.

Recently I watched a program on cable television that was about immigration and drug smuggling from a single airport in the capitol city of Columbia. What I saw reminded me of what journalism used to be like in the United States. With cameras rolling and narrated in English it was easy to see that a properly implemented immigration program can be very effective in catching illegal activity in a strictly controlled environment. There were no political editorials about why the system worked or failed or who was at fault. It was simply a documentary showing how people were often caught up in the game of smuggling contraband and the consequences they faced.

We have the same immigration and smuggling issues here in the United States and the more controlled the environment the more effective are the tools employed by Department of Homeland Security officials and agents.

We are led to believe that our immigration system is broken and everything is falling apart. We are also led to believe that it is entirely the fault of one man – President Donald Trump. That is an entirely false narrative.

What we do know is there are problems along the US Southern border with Mexico. Those problems have not been adequately addressed by the legislative body of Congress, or by previous administrations. There are a number of underlying reasons and the most obvious can be found if one only “follows the money”. Drugs, people and money smuggling have always been a lucrative enterprise and those who benefit from it are not willing or wanting to bring it to an end. The old adage that “Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely” rings true here.

Politicians from inside the beltway are either powerless or entirely clueless as to how to effectively bring about productive change. They know how to make promises and re-election is always their primary concern. Real change must come from outside political circles.

When Barack Obama campaigned for the presidency in 2008 he promised change like you’ve never seen before. It was on that platform of change he delivered what the nation or the world had ever seen. Looking back we can see that the only real change was the level of corruption, manipulation and showmanship never openly displayed even within the inner circles of Washington.

There was the Affordable Care Act, which was neither affordable nor caring. There was the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) which in itself was an unconstitutional misuse of power by the president with many of its intended recipients was not even children. More change came about in the form of increased welfare (more free stuff). American’s were encouraged to purchase homes, automobiles and other items they were not even able to pay for (Fannie May – Freddie Mac, Cash for Clunkers) to name a few. More change on the world scale occurred with selling uranium to Russia, giving planeloads of cash to Iran and the infamous World Apology Tour of Barack Obama and we must not forget Benghazi.

The press and media outlets were all party to the deception of America by keeping much of these debacles low keyed and out of public focus. This truly altered the perception of reality for many Americans who simply lived their entire lives in the same community settings.

Whether you like or hate Donald Trump is irrelevant. What you must consider is do you hate corruption in government more than you hate the manufactured image of a man who has done more in his short 2 years in office to change the direction and focus of America or are you satisfied with the status quo? Do you want things to just continue or are you hungry for real change?

The problem in America is not simply with a corrupt government. It is with a people so educationally misled in public and private schools and institutions where they are given readily available mind altering drugs and medication making them unable or unwilling to make educated guesses or reasoning decisions. Americans have become mentally neutered, not knowing whether they are male or female macho or sissified and perceiving themselves as video game heroes.

It is time we as a nation wake up to the fact that we are all created equal in the sight of Almighty God, having the same inalienable rights as the next guy. It is our responsibility to leave the world a better place than when we got here. You are either the solution or the problem. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Transparency and Ignorance Are Just Words

4-6-2019

Transparency and Ignorance Are Just Words

In 2009 when Barack Obama became president he promised that his administration would be the most transparent government in history and in a speech given by the new president Obama said that it wasn’t cool to not know what you’re talking about. In 8 years of the Obama presidency there have been two words that have defined his presidency “Transparency” and “Ignorance”. One would think that transparency and ignorance simply ended when Trump became president? Not so, in fact those two words define the new Democratic Party right down to its shoes.

When Obama became a senator he also became a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. I’m sure he redefined and gave purpose to a little known racist organization in the Congress of the United States. The CBC went under the radar as a sort of black gentlemen’s club in early 2000 to what it has become today the driving force behind the Democratic Party, overshadowing the DNC leadership as well as compelling the Democratic Speaker in the House and the Senate Minority Leader to continue down the failed path of Democratic Socialistic tendencies.

One need only focus on the pressing needs identified by the House oversight committees to determine that the biggest threat to the United States isn’t Russia, China or Iran. It’s not the immigration crisis along the US Southern border with Mexico or the US economy. It’s definitely not about putting Americans back to work or our failed US education system or healthcare in America.

Turn on any of the main stream media outlets. Watch late night television or day time talk shows or look at the print media headlines or social media and the biggest threat to the United States of America isn’t the threat of a global thermal nuclear war with North Korea.

According to the manufactured and democratically controlled headlines America’s biggest threat is the Constitution of the United States which prevents democrats from implementing their anti-American agenda AND President Donald J. Trump (who they still claim is not their president). Hate and jealousy are two very powerful things which drive common sense out of every conversation.

When Barack Obama got frustrated with Congress’s snail’s pace for getting things done (he’d been in the Senate for 8 years) he made a decision that if the Constitution did not prohibit him from doing something, he would just do it. After all he had a pen and wasn’t afraid to use it. That is how DACA came about. It was an illegal executive order authorizing illegal aliens to come into the United States, no questions asked. The same Congress that had been slow to act did not even protest this usurping of authority by the President.

One of the first things President Trump said he would do was rescind DACA and after calling into the White House the Congressional Leadership and challenging them to fix DACA correctly, through legislation and he would sign it they failed to act. Rather than use the authority of the Constitution to create legislation they chose to resist any and all presidential actions to fix DACA or close loopholes in immigration that made DACA possible in the first place. This resistance has continued for more than 2 years and has made the 116th Congress the laughing stalk around the world.

The transparency and ignorance of the Obama administration have been replaced by an openly transparent Trump administration and ignorance is being replaced by proven and knowledgeable men and women who specialize in fixing what has been wrong in government – apathy toward ordinary Americans. It doesn’t matter what political party you choose to belong to, unless you willingly choose to throw out common sense and restrict American ingenuity which have built this nation into that shining city upon a hill that the entire world knows and respects. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
