Democratic Meltdown

Democratic Meltdown

This is the world we live in as Chicago-style politics of threats and intimidation are not reasonable actions of sane people or even actions of last resort. No, these are business as usual for lifelong Congressional Democrats who DEMAND to have their way or no way.

It matters not that yesterday America lost a great fighting spirit in Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg after she succumbed to cancer. As the word began trickling out over the social media I doubt that her body had hardly begun to cool before liberal lefts in Congress began demanding the selection of her replacement be delayed until after the election. Some media outlets claimed to have her deathbed statement declaring her wished to be replaced by the next elected president. It wasn’t long before threats and intimidation tactics from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was also demanding the replacement be delayed until after the election or “everything is off the table”. Doesn’t that sound childish? Social activists were quick to threaten riots (as if we haven’t already had enough) and even threatened to burn down the SCOTUS building if the Senate confirms President Trump’s nominee.

Today the FBI announced that a package mailed to President Trump was intercepted, examined and determined to contain the deadly poison Ricin. This was not a hoax, like what we experienced during the primary election of 2018 when the mail bomber sent packages out to prominent Democrats, a few entertainers and maybe a RINO or two. Within hours the FBI had surrounded a residence, confiscated a van and declared the guilty party had been arrested. Then crickets…….. What happened next?

Let me be clear not all Democrats are this devious or self-centered however those who are bitten by or get a taste of the power bug become radically changed when they get into the DC swamp.

For average mid-American voters you don’t really count unless you tow Democratic Party line and vote a straight blue ticket. If you’re a minority voter you MUST vote blue or you’re not minority enough. Isn’t that outright crazy politics?

Democratic incompetence is astonishing. Recently in Minneapolis the city council voted to defund the police. LEO leadership eligible took a retirement package and many officers simply hung up their uniforms and I would hope they began packing up their families and possessions to move out of state. The citizens of Minneapolis began wondering where are the police as nobody answering 911 calls; no police presence in increasingly high crime neighborhoods. They still can’t figure out what is going on?

I hate to keep rubbing it in, but BLUE CITIES AND STATES ARE FAILING TO PROTECT THEIR CITIZENS due to mismanagement at city council, mayoral or governorship levels. Elected officials are deathly afraid of upsetting the criminal elements in their jurisdictions so they go out with the rioters and help vandalize THEIR OWN HOMES, then wonder what happened (reminds me of Hillary).

I would hate to be a Democrat who has to tell their children and grandchildren – that’s me – I did that!

I voted for that crazy Biden/Harris team because I wanted Trump to lose at any cost.

Well you might not like his crude way of speaking, his mannerisms, or even his past reputation (as presented by the fake news media). You may be jealous of his lifestyle of the rich and famous when he was younger. That’s ok. You’re not marrying him. He’s not your sugar daddy. But you have to admit that he’s determined to win. Trump doesn’t give up. He remains focused on the goal or the prize.

Trump has campaigned as the Law and Order president amid all the lawlessness and civil unrest perpetuated against America citizens in democratically run cities and states and they are scared to death that after inauguration day, Trump will take the gloves off the DOJ and clean up the mess they have left behind. I say left behind because even Democratic voters deserve better, cleaner, and safer places to raise their families. Really smart voters will turn the tables on elected officials in their states turn them RED.

We are 45 days away from re-electing the 45th President Donald Trump and the Democrat politicians are worried that he will destroy the country by his crazy agenda – jobs, jobs, jobs and Trump gets results = the Wall; peace in the Middle East; Tariffs to equalize foreign trade deficits; bringing our troops home from these endless wars; and don’t forget POW/KIA remains returned from many of our former adversaries around the world.  Trump has broken many presidential records in just 4 years and where Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing of substance in his first 8 months in office. Trump has been nominated for 2 Nobel Peace Prizes for obtaining Peace in the Middle East and as more countries come forth as Kuwait just did there may be more NPPs in Trump’s future. Trump made it clear when asked by the press – PEACE IS THE PRIZE.  – I am the Real Truckmaster!

In Case You Have Forgotten

9-18-2020

In Case You Have Forgotten

November 2019 – China noticed a new virus but chose not to disclose this to the World Health Organization.

December 2019 – Chinese workers on holiday in China began returning to factories in Wuhan and to overseas factories in Italy and elsewhere the China Virus sending (accidentally or intentionally) the virus into the world. Announced officially by China on December 31st that the 2019-nCoV and later changed to SARS-Cov-2 had been detected in humans and took everybody by surprise.

December 2019 – President Trump had been impeached by the Speaker Pelosi’s House Democrats.

I have been blogging during this entire time as events unfolded I began writing about what had been happening and I have a pretty good timeline of the events of 2020 which started out with a bang.

January 3rd – An attack on the US Embassy in Iraq masterminded by Iranian General Qasem Soleimani led to subsequent action to locate this terrorist. Congress was preparing for the upcoming Impeachment Trial phase and issued no official response.

January 7th – The White House announced that Iranian General Qasem Soleimani had been taken out in a drone strike. Congress went ballistic and began talking of trying Trump for war crimes for ordering the strike. No talk about Coronavirus or COVID-19.

January 16th – February 6th – The Impeachment Trial of President Donald J. Trump led to an acquittal on both Charge One – Abuse of Power, and Charge Two – Obstruction of Congress.

Coronavirus Response Early On

January 31st – Trump issued immigration ban from China and halted direct flights from China.

February 26th – Trump organized Coronavirus Task Force and placed VP Mike Pence in charge.

February 29th – Trump issued immigration ban from Iran.

March 11th – Trump issued immigration ban from Schengen area of Europe

March 13th – Trump declared National Emergency due to COVID-19

March 14th – Trump issued immigration ban on UK and Ireland.

March 14th – Schools and businesses were order closed for a 15-day stay at home order, social distancing and self-isolation of sick and elderly to prevent virus spread (Continued for 6 months).

March 18th – Trump issues EO prioritizing and allocating health and medical resources to respond to COVID-19

March 18th – Trump invokes the Defense Production Act of 1950 to mobilize Mercy hospital ships to Los Angeles and New York City; mobilize Army Corps of Engineers assets to convert hotels and conference centers into temporary hospitals nationwide; Authorizing corporations to convert to wartime production of Personal Protection Equipment (gloves, masks and ventilators); fast track already available and highly suitable medications to slow the spread of the virus; encourage Congress to pass stimulus bill to help citizens, small businesses and corporations during pandemic.

March 20th – Trump issues memorandum on delegation of functions – Exchange Stabilization Fund.

March 20th – Trump issues memorandum on providing federal support for governors’ (California, New York and Washington) to use National Guard to respond to COVID-19.

March 23rd – Trump issues EO preventing hoarding of health and medical resources.

March 24th – Trump issues travel ban on Northern and Southern US borders.

Trump Administration conducted meetings with governors, CEOs and medical professionals all lending input as how to best deal with the Coronavirus and make sustainable progress.

On March 27th I wrote “Reporting on Facts or Fake News” citing the above listed sequence of events of Trump’s response to the China Virus or as it’s now called COVID-19 virus.

During those early months and since that time what has Congress done to aid and insure protection of American citizens? There was the rush on toilet paper, cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer in short supply because of COVID-19, why? We’ve had reports of farmers being ordered to dump eggs, milk and slaughter livestock all in the name of COVID-19, why?  Many businesses labeled non-essential closed for good, while others deemed essential remained open with caveats (restricted or limited patrons; social distancing; staggered shopping times for seniors; and masks)? Churches were ordered closed. Schools were ordered closed. Beaches, parks and outdoor activities were ordered closed. America was ordered closed, yet liquor stores, barbershops and beauty salons were ordered closed, big box stores and bars deemed essential were allowed to remain open all in the name of COVID-19. Why have our politicians chosen to close down America indefinitely, was it COVID-19 or was it FEAR? Even today Americans are fearful that wearing masks is causing severe side-effects like nasty rashes and breathing in carbon dioxide, while those who wear masks fear those who don’t are going to kill them with the virus. This has gotten out of hand and is purely ridiculous! It is my opinion that this is purely a means of using fear and tactics to maintain control for obvious political reasons.

We wondered what was coming after the virus and we found out in May that an incident occurring in Minneapolis was the trigger point for Peaceful Protests for Social Change leading to riots, looting and killing of innocent lives primarily for no apparent reason. Organized domestic terrorism began using fascist groups like Antifa and the racist Black Lives Matter along with White Nationalists who began their march across America from Portland and Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles to Denver and Chicago, Milwaukee and Houston to New York City and District of Columbia. Much like the infamous Sherman’s March of the Civil War era, these were organized and funded movements designed to disrupt national unity and stir up racial and class division of Americans against each other while social distancing and wearing face masks. Many businesses were destroyed, public and private property damaged and destroyed, many lives have been lost and NOBODY IS BEING HELD RESPONSIBLE! Oh there is plenty of blame to go around to cowardly governors and mayors who’d rather capitulate to domestic terrorists at the expense of their citizens. Offenders arrested for committing these violent crimes were often released without charge and returned to the streets to commit crimes again and again. Law Enforcement Officers have been demonized, put on a short leash and told to stand down in the face of violent rioters. Police agencies are being defunded and made obsolete while citizens are left to fend for themselves. Those who arm themselves and stand up to defend their families and their properties are being arrested and charged instead of the rioters who threaten them.

Before we can even comprehend the extent of these actions of civil unrest there is a sudden surge of more than 1,200 “wildfires” primarily throughout the western states where lives have been lost, property completely destroyed by fire and first responders have been completely overwhelmed and exhausted. The blame has been placed not on the actual causes lightning strikes and arson, but on two other factors – Global Warming and President Trump.

Make no mistake America is in the midst of a major civil unrest like no other in our nation’s history. American’s have been brainwashed by media and social networks to believe that only one person is to blame for the events of the past 4 years – Donald Trump. Their pathetic ideology also has determined that if you are on the receiving end of violence it’s because you deserve it as a Trump supporter.

American’s are not dummies and we are not stupid. We see the violence perpetuated by the Progressive Leftists in the Democratic Party and their lackeys in the media for what it is – Chicago-style fear and intimidation, based in part by the radical ideology of Saul Alinsky and the community organizing skills of Barack Obama, the deep state and others who’ve taken this to a whole new level.

What they do not know, haven’t realized or figured out is that we do not place our trust in government to save us with promises of free stuff by simply laying down our right to have and bear arms. American’s are keen to those broken promises and failed ideologies that promote communism, fascism, and Marxism. We know that politicians are only in it for their 15 minutes of fame with no sense of responsibility or accountability for their words or they’re actions.

When asked, what is the one thing that the world needs today? Many respond with WORLD PEACE.

In recent weeks President Trump has begun pulling US forces out of a series of endless wars and relocating US military assets to places where they are sorely needed, with many troops returning stateside.

And we’ve been hearing there will never be peace in the Middle East because they’ve been fighting each other for generations yet in recent days we’ve seen Bosnia and Kosovo come to a peace deal brokered by the Trump Administration earning President Trump a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. More recently we’ve seen Israel, Bahrain and the United Emirates Republic (UAE) sign the Abraham Accords in the White House earning President Trump a second nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.

A reporter yelled out a question to President Trump, “Do you think you deserve the Nobel Peace Prize?”

I love President Trump’s answer, “PEACE IS THE PRIZE!”

Results matter.

Faced with a door labeled “Crisis” you can open that door and get to work or you can turn away and let somebody else do it.

Is there a family crisis in America? What have you done to fix it?

Is there a racial issue in America? What have you done to fix it?

Is there an immigration issue in America? What have you done to fix it?

Is there a crisis in the workforce? What have you done to fix it?

Is there a housing crisis in America? What have you done to fix it?

Or

Is there a God crisis in America? What have you done to fix it?

If you say that somebody ought to do it – BE THAT SOMEBODY! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Voting is Your Voice

9-17-2020

Voting is Your Voice

I had a conversation yesterday with someone in her late 40s or early 50s who said she had never voted and didn’t know what to do? At first I was both shocked and puzzled as this person recently retired from civil service.

I gave her the only advice I could at the time to register as an Independent, so that she would get both ballots and decide which was right for her. I also told her to vote according to her beliefs. Which candidate more closely aligns with what she stands for and use biblical standards as a baseline. It may have gone over her head if she is not a believer.

I told her that results matter. Look at each candidate’s political history – how long have they been in politics and what have they to show for it? Most politicians have their official biography and want to impress voters with what they consider their greatest accomplishments. Those new to politics may only have professional accomplishments to fall back on. She asked about how they talk and what they say – promises? Politicians will promise you the moon but are usually unable or unwilling to get off the ground.

Normally each election is more than voting for political office wannabes and includes initiatives and political actions that affect us now and well into the future and you must familiarize yourself on each issue – pros and cons.

If you’re unsure request an absentee ballot, gather your information on ballot issues and go over them one by one until you are reasonably sure whether it’s a positive or a negative. Check to see how you are to mark your ballot, what is the correct name are you registered under (full name or something else) and sign your ballot with the correct signature. Lastly I suggest you drop your ballot off at an official drop off location in person. That way you know it has been received. Don’t wait for the last minute either, something could come up and if you miss the deadline your vote will not be counted. Mailing a ballot has its own issues, some require 2 stamps or you could get it returned for more postage.

Voting is an important part of being an American citizen. It gives you the right to voice your approval or displeasure with elected officials and the decisions they make on your behalf. Don’t waste it by not voting. Every election and every vote is important. Vote your conscious and don’t let others influence or pressure you to vote a certain way or for any candidate or issue. Arm yourself with knowledge, stand on your beliefs and stay true to yourself. Be proud to be an American. Be proud of your vote.  If you need help or advise contact someone you trust to give sound advice.

Happy Voting – your vote does make a difference. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Something About Racism

9-16-2020

Something About Racism

I’ve written about racism before but sometimes it’s good to take another look. Racism in its many forms is evil and unites the negative tendencies of mankind. Talking about it enflames and fans the fires by stirring up prejudice. I was reminded of that this morning by someone who felt it was her duty to remind me that racism exists in America. The intent of her words was for me to rewrite my blogs to conform to her worldview, like that’s ever going to happen.

I grew up in a world free of racism and prejudice. As a young child I worked the migrant fields with people, young and old of many different racial and ethnic heritages. We worked in the sun alongside each other. As children we ate and played together and were all one big happy family of working to earn a living. We weren’t poor because nobody told us we were. We weren’t privileged, just living life as it came, one day at a time.

When I joined the military I went to basic training there was Private Lawson the only black guy in my basic training unit. We slept in open bays, double bunkbeds, wall lockers and footlockers all issued the same gear, doing the same training and at times battling outside intrusion side-by-side. Whether drafted or volunteer we became a team, of many individuals to one unit. We were “E Pluribus Unum” in the flesh. The Vietnam War was in our future and we did our best to survive.

We came home to a different world. Many were met with protesters who didn’t care about the color of our skin. They spat on us, yelled obscenities at us and called us names (Sound familiar)? We arrived in our hometowns, the ones we’d dreamed about for so long while we were away, to families and friends who didn’t understand.

We were expected to plug back into the spot we’d left so long ago only now we were the square peg. We didn’t see the world the same. We’d experienced life as we’d never imagined. Met folks we never even knew or heard about. So I returned to military life and became a lifer.

During my 22+ years I rose to become a platoon sergeant and became mom and dad to many young troops. I didn’t see them as black, white or brown, but soldiers who did the job they were trained for or those who didn’t. The mission was my priority, yet not at the expense of my men and women. I treated them as I wished to be treated with respect and as individuals. I wasn’t the best platoon sergeant, but I tried to be the best soldier I could be and expected the same from each of them.

I faced prejudice then as I face it now with eyes wide open. Some people have bad experiences, while others create the bad experience. If you look through a glass with a filter of racism you will always find what you’re looking for. If you live life searching for the positive you will find that as well.

If you want to combat and end racism stop talking about it all the time and start doing things differently in your interactions with others. I used to hear people say “I wish they would go back where they came from” and although that may have sounded good to them at the time, it was not a thought out statement because we’d all probably be speaking Iranian.

I like the online response recently attributed to actor Morgan Freeman when asked how do we stop racism:

“Stop talking about it. I’m going to stop calling you a white man & I’m going to ask you to stop calling me a black man.” – Morgan Freeman

In the United States we call ourselves Americans. There is no need to attach a hyphenation ethnicity to the title American. I’ll bet that when you were born the doctor, midwife or paramedic did not say – “It’s a hyphenated-American”, but rather “It’s a boy” or “It’s a girl”.

There’s an online story about a headstone listing: Date of Birth – Date of Death. Do you want to be known by your “Dash” simply as a hyphenated-American or if listed at all to say you were an American?

I’ve been a lot of things in my life a Son, Brother, Cousin, Nephew, Soldier, Sergeant, Father, yet my greatest accomplishment didn’t come from any achievement of my own, yet it is the proudest title of them all – PAPA.

So you want to stomp out racism – start today. Don’t attack – Listen; Don’t force your feelings or prejudices on others. Change comes from within. BE THE CHANGE! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

We Are Living in Historical Times

9-15-2020

We Are Living in Historical Times

Recently I’ve heard people say we are living in the worst possible time in the history of our nation. I must strongly disagree. We are living in the best time in the history of America and the world.

So in the United States we’ve gone from the Impeachment Trial of the President of the United States, the introduction of the China Virus (SARS-CoV-2) to American soil infecting thousands of Americans, the elimination of ISIS, two terrorist leaders by US forces and for those who are not familiar with world history what we witnessed today at the White House was the historic signing of the Abraham Accords signaling the beginning of Peace in the Middle East with principals of the US, Israel, UAE and Bahrain. We’ve also heard that possibly 9 other Middle Eastern countries may be ready to sign on substantial peace agreements with Israel in the very near future leading up to two, possibly three unprecedented nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize for President Trump.

Who said you couldn’t have your cake and eat it too? The icing on the cake will come in 49 days when Trump is reelected in a historic landslide election by the American people. From the time that Donald Trump entered the political scene there has been a continuous onslaught of attacks against him, his character, his family and his administration. Accusations have been abundant. His determination and ability to persevere has proven too much for his opponents to cope with and rather than give credit where credit is due they would rather continue down the wrong side of history. It is like beating on a metal door with a piece of wood, sooner than later they will stand with bloodied hands wondering why the metal door will not open, when all they had to do was turn the handle?

God is doing miraculous wonders in our midst, yet people only see what they have been conditioned by the deceiver to see. The bible tells us that we will hear of wars and rumors of wars; famine and pestilence in diverse places; men will be lovers of themselves; right will be wrong and wrong will be called right and all these must pass before the end comes. If that doesn’t describe what we are witnessing and going through in 2020 then I don’t know what is? People flock to worship the signs and wonders, yet refuse to acknowledge the Creator of the Universe.

I’ve been saying for 4 years that it’s not about the man Donald Trump and it’s not about the office of the presidency. It’s about one man’s obedience to Almighty God. It’s about God’s love for you and me. I say to you – If you have only hate in your heart there is no room for God’s love because God is love.  I ask you to pray for President Trump, his family and his administration for their safety and their resolve to continue in the way of the Lord. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Making a Statement

9-15-2020

Making a Statement

Playing the Star Spangled Banner before sporting events has been done since 1918 and is a time honored tradition in the United States as a means of stirring national pride and showcasing unity of one nation under God.

In 2016 outright racism came to the forefront in America and politics as Americans began to call for an end to systematic racism. Colin Kapearnick made his statement for social change by choosing to take a knee instead of standing for the National Anthem.  I don’t think he knew or dreamed of the kind of change that would follow. Players began emulating him and took “taking a knee” to a whole new level. Soon coaches would join the players in an act of solidarity, followed by team owners and the NFL commissioner so as not to upset the players.

President Trump then made a statement that players who kneel should be fired from professional sports. Patriotic American fans nationwide were appalled and angered by the disrespect toward the national anthem and to the flag to the point of burning their NFL gear, tearing up season tickets and turning to other sports. Then other sports teams and leagues began to crumble under pressure. The cry of fans has been totally ignored.

By 2020 not only was kneeling becoming common place as a means of countering the national anthem which has been all but eliminated for sporting events, and now the NFL decided to play “Lift Ev’ry Voice And Sing,” which is also known as “the black national anthem”, before every Week 1 NFL game in the 2020 season, according to ESPN. Teams began sporting Black Lives Matter shirts and black armbands and kneeling in a moment of silence after the death of George Floyd.

So let me make my statement very clear.

According to the official autopsy of George Floyd, he died of a drug overdose, while in police custody.

The Star Spangled Banner is the national anthem of the United States. It was written as a symbol bringing national pride and unity to our newly formed nation. This nation was not founded on color of one’s skin or the ethnic heritage of its people. This nation was founded on freedom and thinking of replacing the national anthem with a black national anthem does not foster national pride and is wrong.

If you are not proud to be an American a new anthem will not revive you and it is ridiculous to think a black, white, brown, red or yellow anthem unites anyone for the common good of the nation. Do you want to feel proud?  It starts in your mind. What you need is simply an attitude adjustment.

Contrary to what you have heard or read racism did not start in 2016 with the election of President Trump, nor will it end when he is no longer in office. Systematic racism started in the late 1960’s with a small group of congressional democrats who proclaimed themselves the “racial police in government” by opposing then President Nixon.

Over the years this select group became effectively organized for racial issues and boasts of distinguished alumni such as then Senator Barack Obama. When this group of legislators first came into existence they decided to restrict membership to “blacks only” club and thus the Congressional Black Caucus came into being. We have seen these congressional democrats use open warfare tactics on President Trump and his administration by boycotting his inauguration address, the State of the Union addresses and even parading on the floor of congress wearing outfits resembling white sheets of the KKK, or the African tribal colors of slave traders as a means of protest.

Congressional democrats have opposed many legislative efforts of the President and even other legislators. Their resistance campaign has even crossed over the line of legality and teetered at the edge of treason. Their actions are not the rational actions of elected officials but rather the actions of spoiled children.

Ending racism begins with you and me. We can start by not referring to ourselves or others as black, white, yellow, brown or red, Asian, African, Mexican, Latin –Americans. We are either Americans or we are not.

The United States of America is one nation under God, a shining light that attracts many people with the call of freedom, if it were not so, they would not come. There are those who bring trouble to our land and to our people. It is the primary responsibility of government for the safety of its people and the responsibility of the people to hold government accountable. We are only as strong as our weakest, most vulnerable. America is US. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

In a World of Hate

9-13-2020

In a World of Hate

After hearing a very interesting and intense sermon on love it’s easy to see how the world as we know it has gone off kilter by leaps and bounds. We have outrageous incidents where actual hate-mongers are going all out to display their hate of anyone or anything that does not conform to their idea of acceptability. Just last night a gun-wielding attacker walked up and shot 2 sheriff’s deputies in the head, they were sitting in a squad car in Compton, California. If that wasn’t the worst of it, a crowd of domestic terrorists blocked the emergency room entrance of the hospital treating the officers while shouting obscenities and wishing the officers died. Incidents like this have been happening with more frequency in cities across the nation while local prosecutors have chosen not to prosecute the offenders. Other incidents where resisting arrest results in the deaths of offenders, crowds are incensed and worked into a frenzy often charging that law enforcement deliberately shot to kill.

Have you see the wildfire maps showing active fires across the West Coast and Western states that are overwhelming firefighting officials? One map shows fires encompassing the Western states right up to the US/Canadian border, and then a single fire at the Southern tip of Alaska. Are we supposed to believe that these fires are all caused by lightning strikes? No, I don’t think so.

No discussion would be complete if we didn’t state the obvious elephant in the room – the WuFlu, Chinese Virus, China Virus, and SARS-CoV-2 otherwise known as the COVID-19 virus. The nation is a political hostage in the grip of the politically correct as they intend to do everything possible to prevent the re-election of President Donald Trump. Select democratically ran states and major cities are still in lockdown with churches, schools, theaters, restaurants and fast food places along with medical facilities being closed indefinitely, while republican ran states and major cities are beginning to open back up. The long term effects of these shutdowns are not known at this time. American’s are cowering in their homes, afraid that a knock on the door will be the dreaded COVID-19.

The saying that love trumps hate has people wondering out loud – what is love?

And what does love got to do with it anyhow?

Let me try to answer those questions and more here.

What is love?

The bible tells us in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

Without God there is no hope.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 tells us that if we had the ability to speak all languages, but don’t have love we’d simply be a noisy gong or clanging cymbal. If we had the power of prophesy, could understand all mysteries and have all knowledge, and have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love we’d have nothing. If we gave away all our possessions, had our bodies cremated, but didn’t have love we’d gain nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13

Love is patient

Love is kind

Love does not envy or boast

Love is not arrogant or rude

Love does not insist on its own way

Love is not irritable or resentful

Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing

Love rejoices with the truth

Love bears all things

Love believes all things

Love hopes all things

Love endures all things

Love never ends

Faith, hope and love abide

But the greatest of these is love

I find it ironic that Jesus walked on the earth, his ministry lasted 3 years and he came to die for the sins of the world. The world hated him, the words he spoke, how he acted as one in authority and even forgave those who arrested him, condemned and executed him without cause.

Here we are 2000 years later and if you can imagine the hatred of God is so strong still today by a world that resents what God is doing with a man chosen by him for a specific purpose to stop evil and stand up against spiritual forces in the form of political correctness laying many in spiritual bondage. It is God’s way of reminding us that he alone is sovereign and has everything under control. God is saying to this world in turmoil that Love Trumps Hate as a way of reminder that without God there can be no love because God is love. What the world needs now is Jesus! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

A Talk About Racism in America

10-12-2020

A Talk about Racism in America

Before even beginning we need to define what is racism?

At Wordnik from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.

racism rā′sĭz″əm

n. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others

n. Discrimination or prejudice based on race

n. The belief that each race has distinct and intrinsic attributes

What we see going on in America is at best reverse racism where a group of people (red, white, black and brown) fuel the fires of racism against anyone and everyone they CHOOSE or who disagrees with them for political purposes.

Maybe we should just call that political racism?

You are politically opposed to my political views therefore you are racist!

So let’s discuss the definition of racism.

The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability

  • Is it racist to believe that human character or ability is determined by race when you see exceptional athletes of a particular race or ethnic group?
  • Is it a myth that white men can’t jump or blacks got rhythm? Or is that stereotyping people based on a preconceived notion or perception? Unless it is applied to a particular person based on observance it then becomes simply a lie. Lying about someone is nothing more than gossip.

The belief that a particular race is superior to others

  • We are created equal by one God, with the same abilities, gifts and talents. What we do with those abilities, gifts and talents determine our character and how we interact with others. There is no superior race, just as there is no inferior race. There are people who use race to control others for their own personal and/or financial gain. We are told to treat others as we wish others to treat us. We are also told to place the welfare of others before our own.
  • We have all sinned. We all will NOT go to heaven unless we recognize Jesus as the son of God, who died and rose again for our sin, then we must confess our sin, ask God for forgiveness, turn from our wicked ways and seek God with our whole heart, mind, and soul.

Discrimination or prejudice based on race

  • Declaring Black Lives Matter or White Privilege or any other race or ethnicity is by its very nature racist. Requiring special privileges because of race is racial prejudice.

The belief that each race has distinct and intrinsic attributes

  • Believing that only blacks have the ability to run fast or play ball better or have rhythm would be silly and stupidly ignorant.
  • Just as believing that whites have special privilege because they are white. Ignorance knows no racial barrier.

Racial stereotyping can occur when a family of another racial or ethnic background moves into the neighborhood, because they are different doesn’t mean they are better or worse than you or me.

People become fearful when they don’t understand a person who speaks a different language.

People become jealous when they see foreign born people owning a business, a new house, a new car or new clothes.

People become friends when they reach out to help each other.

Knowledge is power and all too often racism is talking and acting out of fear and/or ignorance so educate yourself about other people and listen to their struggles. You’ll be better for it.

Do something about racism, stop talking about it and actually do something, stand up to the racial bully and intervene when it’s within your power to do so. Don’t just talk about it!

Before you start casting wild and frivolous accusations, know that I grew up among migrant workers of various ethnic backgrounds. I married into another racial group. I’ve raised my children in the nomadic lifestyle of military families to be open minded to other racial groups without becoming racist. I’ve sought to teach my grandchildren about their racial heritages and cultures by taking them to the homes of their ancestors.

I’ve been threatened, assaulted and called many things by many people and during trip to bury a good friend in Georgia and while discussing my family with a black man he complemented me by saying “you’re one of them good white people.” Where I come from we would have simply said “you’re one of the good guys.” Yet I’ve been called worse. – I’m the Real Truckmaster!

Changing the Status Quo

Changing the Status Quo

One of the best quotes in recent weeks was made by President Trump’s daughter Ivanka during the festivities of his RNC acceptance speech. She said, “Washington hasn’t changed Donald Trump, Donald Trump has changed Washington.” Whether you love or hate him that sums up precisely how one man can make a difference.

In 2017 Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi summed it up nicely when he told President Trump that “you have a unique personality that is capable of doing the impossible.”

Supporters of the president love him because he says what he means and means what he says. He speaks from the heart and is a very compassionate man when he sees someone hurting or in need. It’s not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength.

Never-Trumpers hate him because they’ve been conditioned to hate over the airwaves, media, television and internet. Mention or see the name Trump is a trigger to hate.

They hate his Build the Wall slogan, which was more than a slogan, but a necessity to secure the US Southern border with Mexico to prevent unlawful entry, drugs and human trafficking. In 3 ½ years more than 300 miles of border wall has been completed and construction will be completed in 2021.

They hate his America First slogan which they call racist and xenophobic. “As president I will always put what is best for America and what is best for the American people.” – DJT.

They hate his Make America Great Again slogan and say America was never great. They do not recognize the historical value Americans have made in helping fight oppression and for freedom of people around the world over the years.

They hate his smile because to them it is one of deceit, like they do for each other.

They hate his words because he doesn’t coddle to them or mince words.

They hate his arrogance and tenacity because he doesn’t quit, especially when they tell him he can’t win.

They hate his love of God because they don’t have that kind of love in their life.

They hate it when he acts with authority because he doesn’t ask them for permission.

They call him a coward, because of what they see when they look in the mirror. Have you ever seen a coward stand toe-to-toe with the enemy and not back down as they attack him non-stop and repeatedly for four years? A coward would have thrown in the towel long ago.

They call him a draft dodger because he didn’t serve in the military during the Vietnam War. He obtained student deferments and a medical disqualification that prevented him from serving. He did not do as Bill Clinton, who ran to England instead of reporting for active duty as ordered. He did not do as John Kerry who served in Vietnam then came home and actively demonstrated against the war.

Trump is an American patriot who believes in American greatness and ability to overcome adversity and has a vision for America’s future.

Trump is a street fighter, a counter-puncher who doesn’t run from a fight, but dishes it right back to them.

Trump is a very successful businessman who knows that it takes to turn a recession around.

Trump is a tactician who came into office with a tactical advantage. He knew the enemy, yet they didn’t know him. “It’s a very imperfect world, and you can’t always choose your friends. That’s life. But you can never fail to recognize your enemies.” – DJT.

Trump is not afraid to take calculated risks where others have failed. “I would rather take a political risk in pursuit of peace, than to risk peace in pursuit of politics. As president I will always put what is best for America and what is best for the American people.” – DJT. His efforts have paid off with dividends as Israel and the UAE have agreed to sign a peace accord in the Middle East earning him a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump is an innovator who began combatting the Sars-CoV-2 (China Virus) immediately by restricting travel from China and soon other countries in Europe; Mobilizing private industry and government resources to produce personal protective equipment, mobilizing and adapting medical facilities to treat COVID patients; and work with congress on stimulus payments for workers and companies affected by the nationwide shutdown to flatten the curve.

“Remember this, nothing worth doing ever, ever, ever came easy. Following your convictions means you must be willing to face criticism from those who lack the same courage to do what is right. And they know what is right, but they don’t have the courage or the guts or the stamina to take it and to do it. It’s called the road less traveled.” – DJT.

“God definitely works in mysterious ways, but many times it’s pretty obvious. This is one of those times. It’s not happenstance that Donald Trump became president.” – The Faith of Donald J. Trump.

Trump is not a typical politician who is in it for personal gain. He has worked tirelessly for the past 4 years without pay, donating his quarterly salary to various government agencies for specific purposes. Name one other president who has done that? Go ahead I’ll wait!

“Young Americans should be taught to love our country, honor our anthem, and proudly recite the Pledge of Allegiance.” – DJT.

Trump is far from perfect, but he is perfect for the presidency at this time in our nation’s history. I wouldn’t be surprised if after 8 years in office he doesn’t write “The Art of the Presidency – by Donald J. Trump” to tell all about what it was like working with politicians who figuratively stabbed him in the back while he kept his promises to the American people. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Political Shake n Bakes

9-9-2020

Political Shake n Bakes

Give Johnny a new ball, turn him loose into the neighborhood and you’ve got a future democratic politician. It doesn’t matter what kind of ball, he has to strut it out so other kids see it. They’ll come running over to play with him and the new ball. It won’t be long, before everyone’s happily playing with Johnny and his new ball. Then a quarrel breaks out and Johnny grabs his new ball and leaves.

In the military we see that often when someone becomes an acting-sergeant. They are one of the guys in the squad and doing a fairly good job. There is a vacancy in the platoon or elsewhere in the company. The first sergeant calls him in and strokes his ego with an opportunity to step up and become a leader. After promoting him (although it is a temporary promotion) Sergeant Johnny goes back to his squad wearing his new rank. He then begins telling everyone what to do because he’s a sergeant and they’re not. It even happens after a normal promotion. In the military it’s called “pulling rank” and it can disrupt the unity and camaraderie in the unit. Often the new sergeant is transferred into a different squad or platoon upon being promoted.

It happens quite often in politics when someone runs for an elected office. They campaign on being one of the people and know their struggle. They make a promise to fix that struggle and life will be better because they keep their word. They beat their opponent with enough votes to win the elected office. After being sworn in they must demonstrate their resolve in addressing the struggles and issues they campaigned on. Sometimes it becomes a demonstration of their authority by doing something totally out of the norm that bonds them with the people.

It could be something as simple as stopping a business from ripping off customers or mistreating employees or failing to pay taxes. It could be abolishing unnecessary rules or regulations that restrict or inhibit growth in the community. It could even be publicly praising a first responder who rescued a child after becoming trapped in a hole. These are feel good moments bringing entire communities together. The taste of power affects people differently and in many ways. Because people are not isolated islands in the sea of humanity affecting one has a ripple effect on many others. Outside circumstances can cause normal people to react abnormally during and immediately after an election cycle.

We’ve experienced abnormal reactions to what should have been normal actions after the 2016 presidential election. Many campaign promises were made and everyone knows that all too often those promises are hardly ever kept.

After being sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump began following through on his campaign promises to build the wall along our Southern border with Mexico; Drain the swamp of unsavory characters and fight corruption in government agencies; reduce restrictive government regulations at an alarming rate; introduce tariffs as a means of regulating fair trade practices with the international community; begin building up our depleted military and lowering taxes to stimulate production on US soil and bring larger paychecks to American workers, these and more to make America great again. During this fight against the COVID-19 virus he mobilized private industries and government like never before, since World War II to produce personal protective equipment and find a viral solution.

Members of Congress began immediately to resist his actions because he wasn’t a politician, like them. After all these problems were not new to Washington politicians, many have spent their entire adult life in Washington politics supposedly dealing with these same problems, unsuccessfully I might add. It’s not because they were unable to solve many of those problems as these same politicians have campaigned on the VERY SAME ISSUES or maybe they just didn’t know how or where to begin? Their actions and reactions were to someone who had been promoted and they needed to show him who was really running the show and it was not him. Maybe they just wanted him to take his ball and go back home so as not to disrupt their power.

It has become evident that politicians don’t think alike when it comes to problem solving. Let’s look at what is dominating the news today – police brutality against blacks in America. The perception is many blacks die during arrests or in police custody.

The reality is many blacks are killed by other blacks for no reason at all. Quite often police are called and because nobody wants to be a snitch, little to no cooperation is given to the police. When few details are given a call goes out to BOLO (Be-on-the-lookout) for – a young black male. Then when someone matching that vague description is stopped for questioning or suspected of breaking a law, the innocent young black male who resists or fails to follow the lawful orders of the police is shot and killed while in the act of pulling a knife or gun on the police. Without waiting for an investigation, public outcry turns into mob violence resulting in more people being injured or killed.

Strong leaders will stand firm and denounce violent and unlawful acts for what they are and instruct law enforcement to enforce the law. We have seen weak leaders cower to the anarchist’s demands in hopes it will just go away but it won’t.  Unrestrained violence increases and the anarchists turn on elected officials and law enforcement irrupting into rioting, looting and the killing of innocent bystanders and more violence. Strong leaders will not let that happen.

Democratic mayors and governors have a responsibility to protect ALL the people in their jurisdiction. They are the elected leader of the community and it is their experience and judgement that affect everyone. Inexperience and bad-judgement negatively affect everyone.

At the local level Democratic politicians call for the immediate firing and arrest and the officer being charged with murder. Local community leaders often hold a town hall meeting to discuss ways to deal with this situation. Quite often better training of police is recommended. What is rarely suggested is better parenting where respect and accountability are taught in the home. Maybe town hall meetings would be more effective if citizens would be required to submit written questions and suggestions to improve life in the community, including proposed training techniques instead of calling for defunding and even abolishing the police?

When a police officer discharges his firearm or non-lethal weapon (Taser) there is an automatic investigation. When found to be justified and no violation of police protocol the officer is returned to duty. When there is no police presence to deter crime there becomes a vacuum that is filled with mob violence and anarchy. American’s deserve better policing, better representation and better discussions when it comes to safe, livable communities. I don’t have all the answers, but working together we can and should do much better for every family. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
