A Discussion on the Issue of Immigration

Immigration has been the lifeblood of the United States of America. Since the Pilgrims landed at Cape Cod, Massachusetts and founded Plymouth Colony in the new world. In the years leading up to the Revolutionary War migrants were settling along the East Coast, then moving westward into the interior. What we’ve had over the years are migrants coming here from virtually all over the globe. The admission criteria is constitutionally set by the President and can be slowed or even stopped if he so desires.

Although at times a problem, no President in recent history has taken serious steps to effect a radical change into the immigration laws until now. Since Congress has the constitutional authority to legislate, it only makes sense for Congress to take a serious look at the law and whether or not it should be amended. Why has it taken so long? Why is immigration still an issue?

The US Southern border with Mexico has been as porous as the waters of the Rio Grande which separates us. Not everyone or everything that crosses the border is good for America. Steps to tighten up the border crossings have been met with resistance, not so much with our neighbor to the south, but with our own United States Congress.

It is unconscionable that the President of the United States would have to task the United States Congress to take appropriate action on immigration reform. Upon taking office, one of the first acts President Trump undertook was to invite Congress to meet with him and to discuss Immigration and other matters. He said that Delayed Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) had been unconstitutional and needed to be fixed through proper legislation. He also said what was needed was Comprehensive Immigration Reform to plug some loopholes and enhance enforcement efforts with computer software and funding for a border wall.

What happened after than historic meeting? Nothing, well not exactly nothing, but complete and utter resistance by Congressional Democrats and Republicans. Instead of going back to the Capitol and getting to work the resistance movement began in earnest. When the President said he would not extend DACA upon its natural expiration, legal actions began to force the President to extend an unconstitutional Obama executive order.

Here we are 2 ½ years down the road in the Trump Administration. Our border has been under attack just as if an invading army was beating down the gates demanding to gain admittance. Thousands of migrants have forged unimpeded across Central American and North American countries in their quest to enter the United States.

It is apparent that a lot of financial “grease” has eased entry restrictions and allowed migrant convoys, under police escort all the way to the Tia Juana border areas outside the San Diego border crossing. It is also apparent that United States Citizens who are legal assistants or lawyers have gone into Mexico with “scripts” that instruct migrants how to respond to questions by Border Patrol and Asylum Judges in order to gain entrance under false pretenses by claiming political asylum. Not only are the migrants, but ANYONE who aids and assists them to cross the border illegally or unlawfully are breaking US Immigration Laws. The punishment can be denied entrance, imprisonment and fines. Those seeking entry can be permanently banned from entry. In some cases lawful immigrants can be deported and banned from re-entry into the US. Constitutionally the President can close down the Southern Border indefinitely or restrict entry to certain categories of persons able to enter.

President Trump is determined to have the Immigration Issue corrected not by executive order but as it should be done by Congress. He is also determined to construct a proper wall or barrier or enhance existing barriers to prevent unlawful crossings, drugs and human trafficking. It is the responsibility of the Government of the United States to ensure the safety and security of the American people, lawful residents and international visitors and to prevent unlawful entry.

When the President pleads with Congress to keep their focus on America first, he has been met with political posturing and total resistance. Certain members of Congress are set on doing the complete opposite of what they are asked or encouraged to do by the President, even when it endangers the lives of American citizens.

The 2020 Presidential Election is turning into a virtual who’s who of craziness as Social-Democratic candidates are literally stepping all over each other in their attempt to “prove” who has what it takes to beat President Trump and stop the drain of the swamp (which they are actively part of). Voters must take a determined stand on principle over party, safety over lawlessness, sanity over insanity and VOTE STUPIDITY OUT OF OFFICE at every level and every election. The Cat is Out of the Bag

4-29-2019

The Cat is Out of the Bag

It’s no huge surprise if you’ve been paying attention to all the hoopla going on in the media. The call it progressivism, liberalism or socialism and at times outright communism under the banner of the Democratic Party and you don’t even have to squint to see the Dems logo is an update of the hammer and sickle of the Communist Party. The aim of the Communist Party and its doctrine is the downfall of capitalism from within and at any cost. That was how Saul Alinsky formulated his ideology which was adopted early on by Hillary Clinton (HDRC), Barack Obama (BHO) and apparently Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and other up and coming stars of the Democratic Party.

There is a method to their madness. Hillary studied and interviewed Saul Alinsky as her college thesis project in the early 1970s. Barack used it as his community organizing model in Chicago followed by his leap into politics where he infused it into various congressional caucuses. AOC took the concept one step further with the radical Green New Deal and is beating down the traditional House Democratic Party politics and reshaping it into her own socialistic plow shear.

The pillars of the Democratic Party in Congress are coming under fire from the new wave of congressional freshmen. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has been the old guard when it comes to presidential elections and its members include Uncle Joe Biden and others who are now considered completely out of touch with the new mainstream party.

On the fringes, for lack of a better term, is the socialist member Bernie Sanders who is just banging on the drum like the Eveready Bunny in hopes of finally obtaining the elusive DNC nomination from a field of more than 20 presidential hopefuls.

Darting back to AOC for a moment, although she represents New York in the House, her roots are founded in Puerto Rico. This explains her extreme hatred of President Trump and his administration. She attributes to the failed recovery efforts after the Hurricane leveled the island to Trump while completely ignoring the fact that a failed Democratic Governor and Mayor instigated major roadblocks that led to the prevention of supplies getting distributed to the people of Puerto Rico. More than a year after the hurricane pallets of bottled water was discovered still on the runway where they were off loaded to await distribution.

It seems that mainstream Democrats have either been forced to remain silent or have been pressured into silence in order to let these radicals on the extreme left take down the party which produced the KKK, intimidated minorities and others from full acceptance into American society with the same rights and privileges as every other American citizen.

It is only fitting that the left leaning tower of the democrats would crumble as it is reduced to a pile of ashes of its former glory in the days of John F. Kennedy’s “Ask not what your country can do for you” speech during his 1961 inauguration.

It’s ironic and no accident that the first 23 black congressmen were Republicans. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Alarm Bells Are Ringing for the Liberal Left

4-28-2019

Alarm Bells Are Ringing for the Liberal Left

Recently I’ve heard from critics concerning the direction this country is headed in their opinion we have gone over the slippery slope of politics because of the Donald J. Trump Presidency.

As “proof” one critic cited the following that he equates to the President Trump being unsuited to the office and because those on the liberal left and the conservative right will not concede or compromise there is an unwritten agreement to disagree.

What the left is hanging onto are the business failings of Donald Trump while ignoring the great many more business successes.

  • The debacle of Trump University
  • The leaked video of Trump at the bus using coarse language and talking trash politically motivated and orchestrated to throw off the Trump 2016 campaign. These efforts and others failed miserably.
  • There are the rumors of contractors going unpaid which very well could have happened due to failed business dealings and the rumors of Trump hiring illegals to work at various Trump enterprises are just unsubstantiated rumors.
  • The high profile rumor is Trump played more golf in 2 ½ years than Obama did in 8 years would be laughable if one considered the fact that Trump seems to work ceaselessly from the Oval Office, Air Force One and especially on the golf course.
  • What really throws the left is Trump promised to show his tax returns if elected. That hasn’t happened, nor should it even be discussed. There are some aspects of private life that are not open to public discussion and tax returns of a millionaire who runs for elected office should not even be an issue or it would be more appropriate (not constitutional) for all 535 elected legislators to annually post their tax returns to show how they have become millionaires while in “public service”.

One critic brought up the issue of Bill Clinton was impeached but found not guilty which is part truth and part lie. Clinton was impeached for lying to congress. Congress decided not to remove him from office which would set a really bad precedence for a sitting president.

Using this same failed logic saying that Trump should be impeached just because his name is Trump doesn’t make any sense. One must understand the impeachment process and even then some individuals continue the cry of impeachment.

  • Simply put if the House committee receives a complaint suggesting impeachment of a President must investigate the charges to see if they are warranted. If not warranted no charges are levied. If the complaint has merit then charges are brought forward and voted on by the full body of the House. If the House votes to impeach a President, he is impeached.
  • Constitutionally impeachable offenses are acts of
    • Treason,
    • Bribery, or other
    • High Crimes and Misdemeanors
      • Historically the House has defined High Crimes and Misdemeanors as
        • Real criminality – breaking the law,
        • Abuses of Power and
        • Violation of Public Trust or
        • Whatever a majority of the House considers it to be at a given moment in history.
      • The next step is to forward the articles of impeachment to the Senate for trial. The members of the Senate who become the impeachment jury will weigh the evidence argued before the judge (Chief Justice SCOTUS).
      • If found guilty of the charges of Impeachment the Senate votes to allow the President to remain or for Removal from Office.

The claim that “DJT should be impeached but would be found not guilty by the senate” fails in one respect, that in order to be impeached there must be verifiable evidence for impeachment. Thus far there have been no substances warranting impeachment of President Trump.

The critic and I agree that 2020 will be the deciding factor when voters will once again cast their vote for the candidate who will continue to drain the political swamp or drain the rights of American citizens to accommodate the influx of non-citizens who illegally enter the country.

The critic insists that it depends on charges to be filed by state of NY which have been a politically motivated threat by a recently elected New York States Attorney who follows the Democratic Party norms of using the Alinsky Principles to achieve a political agenda.

The critic has one last claim of higher cost of living lower wages which is only partially right. The cost of living rises annually, yet in the past 2 ½ years of the Trump Administration the abundance of jobs has brought rising wages to the lower percentage of workers.

All the 2020 Democratic candidates have introduced as their platforms

  • Higher taxes,
  • Open borders,
  • Sanctuary and free medical, food, housing and $$$ for illegals
  • Loss of Constitutional rights of US citizens,
  • While promising free stuff for those unwilling to work,
  • Eliminating educational debt for select students in select colleges and universities,
  • Voting rights for convicted felons and prisoners in jail,
  • Lowering voter age to 16,
  • Abolishing the outdated Constitution
  • Eliminating the Electoral College

There claims of socialistic bliss shows how truly illiterate and uninformed the left really is. As the campaign season continues to shape up there will be massive self-biting among the liberal candidates with the last one standing gaining the DNC nomination to stand up against President Trump.

It is my prediction that 2020 will be an easy win for America as President Trump gets another 4 years in office. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Examining The Impeachment Process

4-26-2019

Examining The Impeachment Process

Don’t you just get tired of hearing “Impeachment” coming from the House of Representatives? It has become their battle cry over the past 2+ years. To liberal House members two words must certainly be uttered together “Impeach Trump”. Don’t they ever give up?

What offenses are worthy of impeachment?

The Constitution states them as any of these acts “Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors?”

However it’s up to the members of the House of Representatives.

According to Constitutional Lawyers,

“High Crimes and Misdemeanors” are

  • Real criminality — breaking a law;
  • Abuses of power;
  • “Violation of public trust” as defined by Alexander Hamilton in the Federalist Papers.

In 1970, then Representative Gerald R. Ford defined impeachable offenses as

  • “Whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.”

It’s a little known fact that since 1841 over one-third of all American Presidents have either died in office, became disabled, or resigned. However, no American President has ever been forced from office due to impeachment.

Only four times in our history, has Congress held serious discussions of Impeachment:

  • Andrew Johnson was actually impeached when Congress became unhappy with the way he was dealing with some post-Civil War matters, but Johnson was acquitted in the Senate by one vote and remained in office.
  • Congress introduced a resolution to impeach John Tyler over state’s rights issues, but the resolution failed.
  • Congress was debating his impeachment over the Watergate break-in when President Richard Nixon resigned.
  • William J. Clinton was impeached by the House on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice in relationship to his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Clinton was eventually acquitted by the Senate.

So why does Congress feel that its members can threaten the President with Impeachment because he doesn’t cave in to their political whims? Prolong that over 2+ years and it’s akin to the fable of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” where nobody took him seriously, even when the wolf showed up.

Let us take a real close and personal look at The Impeachment Process.

In the House of Representatives

If they do…

  • Based on their inquiry, the Judiciary Committee will send another Resolution to the full House stating that impeachment is warranted and why (the Articles of Impeachment), or that impeachment is not called for.

  • The Full House (probably operating under special floor rules set by the House Rules Committee) will debate and vote on each Article of Impeachment.

  • Should any one of the Articles of Impeachment be approved by a simple majority vote, the President will be “impeached.” However, being impeached is sort of like being indicted of a crime. There still has to be a trial, which is where the US Senate comes in.

In the Senate

  • The Articles of Impeachment are received from the House.

  • The Senate formulates rules and procedures for holding a trial.

  • A trial will be held. The President will be represented by his lawyers. A select group of House members will serve as “prosecutors.” The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (currently John G. Roberts) will preside with all 100 Senators acting as the jury.

  • The Senate will meet in private session to debate a verdict.

  • The Senate, in open session, will vote on a verdict. A 2/3 vote of the Senate will result in a conviction.

  • The Senate will vote to remove the President from office.
  • The Senate may also vote (by a simple majority) to prohibit the President from holding any public office in the future.

Impeachable Offenses

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution says, “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

In his report, Independent Counsel, Starr accuses President Clinton of committing eleven acts for which he could be removed from office by impeachment.

In the past, Congress has issued Articles of Impeachment for acts in three general categories:

  • Exceeding the constitutional bounds of the powers of the office.
  • Behavior grossly incompatible with the proper function and purpose of the office.
  • Employing the power of the office for an improper purpose or for personal gain.

What is perplexing is that over the past 2+ years President Trump has exercised his Constitutional authority to issue Executive Orders to curtail immigration from certain geographical areas. Congressional liberals have cried foul and a liberal justice has issued a judicial block preventing the executive order from going into effect, until the Supreme Court removed the judicial block.

President Trump declared that the illegal and unconstitutional Obama Executive Order on DACA would expire naturally unless Congress acted to legalize DACA through legislation. Instead a liberal justice issued a judicial block hereby ordering the President to prevent it from expiring.

President Trump issued an Emergency Declaration pertaining to the Southern Border situation. Rather than utilizing legislation Congress began opposing the order and calling it a non-emergency.

President Trump declared intent to build a wall along the Southern Border to deter illegal crossings. Rather than tackle the legislation required to fix immigration loopholes Congress decided to oppose and withhold funding for the wall. The president diverted (re-allocated) funding to accommodate construction requirements.

President Trump declared that the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) would be stopped and replaced with a more efficient and user friendly healthcare system. Congress rather than seek legislative remedy chose to oppose the President at every turn.

There are a number of legislators in the House and Senate who are vocal opponents of President Trump and his efforts to administer from the Executive Office. Some have even called for the assassination of the President and the Vice President and/or their family members or Cabinet officials. This has been an ongoing problem for 2+ years.

Former government officials and high level cabinet members have come under recent scrutiny over a “soft coup” attempt to overthrow President Trump and his Administration. They have done so with implied impunity and under the watchful eye and organization of former President Obama.

As I have often said these liberal warriors vocalize accusations which mimic offenses they themselves are guilty of yet because Impeachment is generally considered in relation to the President of the United States I’ll bet these “Congressional Scholars” haven’t considered that Impeachment can be done to any of them as well. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

What are Politicians and Their Promises?

4-25-2019

What are Politicians and Their Promises?

“A statesman is a politician who places himself at the service of the nation. A politician is a statesman who places the nation at his service” [Georges Pompidou]

As we enter into the campaign season for the 2020 Presidential Election the stakes could not be higher, or the boundaries further apart than they have become with a veritable fruit salad bowl of left-leaning Democrats opposing the incumbent Republican President Donald J. Trump.

The display being presented by the Democrats is reminiscent of the “show” they put on during the 2017 Brent Kavanaugh hearings for SCOTUS only this time every candidate is feeling their oats and acting as if they all downed their political spinach.

To help understand the process one must define the rules for the players or at least define the term “politician”.

Definition of politician

1: a person experienced in the art or science of government especially: one actively engaged in conducting the business of a government

2a: a person engaged in party politics as a profession

2b: often disparaging: a person primarily interested in political office for selfish or other narrow usually short-sighted reasons

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/politician

pol·i·ti·cian

  1. One who is actively involved or skilled in politics, especially one who holds a political office.
  2. One who deceives or outmaneuvers others for personal gain: distrusted him as the office politician.

pol•i•ti•cian

  1. a person who is active in politics, esp. as a career.
  2. a seeker or holder of public office.
  3. a person who uses public office to advance personal or partisan interests.
  4. a person who is skilled in politics.

syn: politician, statesman refer to one skilled in politics.

politician is more often derogatory, and statesman laudatory.

Politician suggests the schemes of a person who engages in politics for party ends or personal advantage: a dishonest politician.

Statesman suggests the eminent ability, foresight, and patriotic devotion of a person dealing with important affairs of state: a distinguished statesman.

As you can see from the above definitions and quotations there are politicians and there are statesmen with some very distinctive differences in their meaning. It wouldn’t surprise me if future dictionaries include a Trump-style political category.

political trump

delivers on political promises, results oriented, what you see is what you get, transparency in government

The rhetoric of the political left makes one wonder if the only requirements to run for the highest office of the land is that one promises everything under the sun, the moon and the stars no matter how outlandish and unsustainable it may be and have a burning hatred for President Trump?

Lawyers undergo extensive training on the Rule of Law as defined by the United States Constitution. There are classes on various types of court rulings and case law which have established precedence and stand until overturned by the Supreme Court of the United States. A student who completes the courses of study and obtains a degree must become certified by a state bar examination before they can hang up their shingle and begin practicing law.

The Bill of Rights (Amendments I – X)

I – Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. Protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly and the right to petition Government for redress of grievances

II – Citizens the right to bear arms

III – Prohibits government from quartering troops in private homes

IV – Protects citizens from unreasonable search and seizure. Government must have a warrant signed by a judge based on probable cause

V – Citizens not subject to criminal prosecution and punishment without due process; not tried twice (double jeopardy); protected from self-incrimination (right to remain silent); establishes eminent domain ensures private property not seized for public use without just compensation

VI – Right to speedy trial by a jury of one’s peers; be informed of the crimes charged with; confront witnesses; provides the accused right to compel testimony from witnesses; and to legal representation

VII – Provides civil cases tried by jury

VIII – Prohibits excessive bail, excessive fines, and cruel and unusual punishments

IX – States the list of rights enumerated in the Constitution is not exhaustive; the people retain all rights not enumerated

X – Assigns all powers not delegated to the United States or prohibited to the states, to either the states or to the people

Sadly there is no requirement for politicians before they can be elected into political office. There are classes on political science which tend to add fuel to the fire instead of how to regulate a political firestorm. A number of students receive their degree in political science and go off seeking an internship with a local political figure as their advanced trainer. Those who are successful may find themselves chosen to replace their trainer and thus begins their lifetime in politics with the prize of the White House as their goal.

Regardless of political office held the true test of a politician should be their political accomplishments. Have they honored their constituents by legislating fairly? Have they sought for the safety of their citizens? Or have they simply courted the voters and failed to follow through on their campaign promises?

Look at the political lineup for 2020 and what do you see? What appeals to your senses? What is important to you personally? Do you want to live in safety or in fear; does your family’s security determine your priorities; freedom to Worship; to hold a job of your choice; to own a home; to buy a car; to own a firearm; to own a business; or to pay your fair share of taxes? On the other hand you may be enticed with free stuff? Understand that free doesn’t mean free, not even freedom is free. The Bill of Rights does not entitle one to free food, housing, education, medical, jobs, $15 hour jobs; phones; needles; booze; drugs; or $$.

Listen carefully to what these politicians are actually saying. Many of them are going so far as to promising (if elected) to allow illegal aliens and terrorists into our country and into our polling places. Some have gone so far as to regulate how one is to think (must be Democrat); what to eat, drink, wear, where to live, how to act and every manner and ill-conceived notion be allowed, to include clinical assisted murder (abortion) and elder elimination – all for the almighty vote!

Understanding the rights of citizens as defined in the Constitution is the first step toward living the American Dream without being unduly influenced by fake news outlets or unscrupulous politicians. Living within (under the law) is necessary when becoming a contributing member of our society.

Equally important is that non-citizens do not have any rights under the Constitution. Persons entering the United States are not exempt because they are ignorant of our laws, but must remain in compliance in order to live and/or work here. Treating everyone with respect is not a right under the Constitution, but a commandment from Almighty God. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

A Mountain to Climb

4-23-2019

A Mountain to Climb

We were kids really many of us just out of high school and the war seemed so far away. We became airmen, coast guardsmen, marines, soldiers and sailors. Our orders came and we went by air or by sea figuratively and literally to the other side of the world. Our world centered on a 365 day calendar as the countdown began when our feet touched down on dry land.

Oh our jobs were vastly different and often required a learning curve which we soon mastered to a certain degree. In most cases we ate, slept and worked within the confines of our company or unit areas and our assigned work stations. The weather was either: hot, wet or hot and wet with occasional dry spells in between.

There were the bases, camps and sites which all varied in size from the larger air bases with runways, aprons, main facilities and outreaches to the fuel and munitions storage areas and the water treatment and storage facilities. These bases had shuttle buses and base taxis along specified routes and schedules. The smaller camps were tailored to logistical storage or down to individual units with attachments. Many of the sites were remote mountaintop locations with a self-contained unit operated independently from others nearby. Others were in the urban areas of the capital city, with sights, sounds and the busy streets of South East Asia. Lastly there were those whose jobs were to train, but not be visible. They could be anywhere at any time and on a moment’s notice prepared to face danger.

The tropical environment contained all types of hidden hazards from insects, reptiles, wild animals as well as enemy forces and the dangers of friendly fire. One enemy was not known at the time and came home to roost long after the conflict had ended. In fact this enemy was beyond that of friendly fire because it was actually sent from to us from the states. It was very effective for its intended purpose yet it had severe and unintended consequences which could lay dormant for years, even decades when it became deadly. Given many names, titles or its chemical composition we know it best by its color Orange as one of the rainbow herbicides which are chemicals created to fight insects, plants and many types of vegetation around the world.

We came home unexpectedly to a hostile world where we were seen as the enemy. Many were shunned or cast aside by family and friends. We had become the square pegs attempting to fit in round holes. We adapted to suit our circumstances, while many did not. We found solace in our sacred brotherhood of Veterans who shared the same or similar experiences.

When we began to feel safe and a bit more secure in ourselves and our ability to provide for our families and thought it couldn’t get any worse, it did. We began losing our brothers at an alarming rate and on a daily basis due to those herbicides we were exposed to in the service of our country. Our body began being attacked in the cells and physical systems that enabled us to function and live normal lives. Our hearts, blood pressure, diabetes and many types of cancers had been invaded by these herbicides. Some are treatable through surgery and/or a lifetime of drugs, while others are not easily discovered until it is often too late. Even the mind is affected and quite often suicide seems the only way out.

When we turn to the Veterans Administration for help, assistance and answers we are often met with rejection and roadblocks which seem designed to delay us until the point of death overtakes us.

We encounter the governmental red tape that amounts to an inefficient cost analysis for compensation of the number of surviving Veterans from that war so long ago. We find ourselves in a playing field with constantly moving goal posts. First we prove boots on the ground. Then the ground our boots were on is geographically not sufficient. Next we must prove boots on, at or near the perimeter fence line of “certain” VA recognized bases, camps or sites. Our Veterans statements are not enough. Our statements of support for our brothers are often not enough. Our pictures and orders are often not enough. Not even the death of our brothers due to herbicide exposure is enough.

Our nation focuses on cleaning up contamination on bases in other places while ignoring and/or making it difficult to impossible for Americas Veterans who are being denied until we die. This presents a most difficult mountain to climb! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

My Fellow Americans I Have Not Jumped Off the Deep End

4-22-2019

My Fellow Americans I Have Not Jumped Off the Deep End

For my friends (and some of you who don’t even know me) but may be wondering about my fascination with politics. It’s not become I’ve become overly politically charged but have absolutely no patients with many of the utterly stupid sayings coming out of the mouths of my fellow Americans.

I was never an American History buff in school. In fact I didn’t know anything about life outside of my home state of Idaho. Nor was I into geography either. I didn’t know where in the world was a place I’d heard about in the mid-late 1960s called South East Asia. I soon learned where it was and I had the opportunity to go there in early 1968 but that’s another story.

I live now in Colorado and since my untimely retirement I have plenty of time to ponder over things like politics, geography and to a small degree blogging (that’s online writing) which I do a fair amount of.

Politics have become flooded with what would appear to be some of the most brain-dead individuals to walk the face of the earth. It is the nature of man to survive. We spend our entire lives trying to figure out how to eat what we want, drink what we can and breath as much and as long as possible. Like I said it’s in our nature to survive.

We see ourselves as the exception to the rule and think we are invincible and will live forever. Our women run to the beauty salon where they are made beautiful. I’ve got news for you gals, it ain’t happening! Even with all that day cream, night cream, facial cream, sun block, skin block and whatever else kind of blockers they come up with no amount of plastering (pampering) is going to enhance mother nature.

The guys have that macho stuff all nailed up too. We can chop wood, hunt and fish and build ourselves our own little man cave. We don’t need to read instructions, WE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS. We’re so macho that we can shoot the cap off a little green lizard at 40 paces without even aiming. Rambo has nothing on us. Plus we have all the boy toys you could ever ask for. We drive a big F-5000+ or a C-5500+ with a huge HEMI that pulls our boat, camper, skidoos or ATVs and the wife’s VW Bug ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Let’s face it guys we ARE all that and a bag of chips.

So why do we fail most everything? You know we’re afraid to stand for and suck at singing the National Anthem or saluting the Flag. We’re so bad that our wife has to drag us to church on Sunday’s providing the Broncos, Rams, 49ers or some other team isn’t playing.

As parents we can’t spank our kids, teach them that boys and girls are different – REALLY? Boys can’t be cowboys. Girls can’t be Barbie. Instead of 2 genders (male and female) there are now around 15? I think not there are 2 genders and over 13 mental illnesses being tolerated as genders. Everybody gets a participation trophy for life and when you grow up there’s all that free stuff waiting for you.

How did we get to this point on the planet? Abortion isn’t murder; terminal illness is reason for assisted suicide; killing is the fault of guns; cars are not driven but guided by A.I. and Climate Change is the world’s biggest problem, you’ve got to be kidding me, right? Mankind must have a propensity for being super stupid.

Before I fall off my high horse (the mechanical one at the local supermarket) let me clue you in on something that may be really new to you and your neighbors.

  1. There is but one God, and his son is Jesus.
  2. There are 10 Commandments, they are not suggestions.
  3. Boys are boys.
  4. Girls are girls.
  5. Good is good.
  6. Bad is bad.
  7. Compromise leads to disaster.
  8. Ford owners are Republicans.
  9. Chevy owners are Democrats.
  10. There are no other options.

There is right and there is wrong even in politics. If it seems right in your eyes, but wrong in the eyes of God it is wrong. Don’t buy into the political hype you see on TV or on the Internet. It is either good for everyone or not good for anyone! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

A Bulldog in the Fight

A Bulldog in the Fight

I agree with postings about the way President Trump and his family have been continually attacked by the press, the media and by people who don’t know what they’re talking about when it comes to what, why or how he says anything. Most of the parrots are simply repeating what the talking heads of the main stream media say. Much of that is without substance anyway and I don’t rely on what any of them say. Enough is Enough!

If you want to know what the President says listen to him live and unedited. If you want to know what he tweets follow his Twitter accounts. Trump is first and foremost an American with the same constitutional rights as every other American. What you see is what you get. Trump doesn’t pretend to be something that he’s not. If he doesn’t like something he’ll tell you. If he likes something he’ll tell you that as well. People don’t get that from politicians who only want to feed you a line of crap to get votes and stay in office.

I watch people on Twitter get blocked by the President and rather than follow someone else, the go to the 9th Circuit Court or a District Judge to sue Trump to unblock them, saying they are denied their first amendment rights. That’s stupid. Do they do that to everyone who blocks them? No they don’t. All people want to do is exercise their rights and denying Trump his rights is ok? I don’t think so.

I voted for Trump in 2016 and I didn’t vote for a namby-pamby wishy-washy politician to be President. I voted for someone who was NOT a politician and I‘m glad I did. I want someone to shake up business as usual in Washington DC, especially on Capitol Hill. Shake up is an understatement! You cannot nor should you judge a book by its cover and the book of Trump is no exception, read the entire book. Those who criticize him do so based on what others have said that Trump said and that’s not only wrong but foolish on their part. There’s more to Trump than meets the eye and no it’s not Russia or any other foreign power. Never have I heard nor seen someone more committed to America First and follow it up with action. Politicians don’t want to offend potential voters, while Trump offends everyone who sees themselves as being far above him. They are wrong in a big, big way.

There seems to be a lot of gum flapping about Hillary getting more votes than Trump. That may be true since there have been a lot of voter fraud having been uncovered since the 2016 election with only a fraction of them prosecuted. That is precisely why the Electoral College is part of the electoral process, to insure that every vote counts. No other country does that, but we do and for a purpose.

President Trump has done more FOR AMERICA in the past two plus years than any other president during their entire tenure in office while fighting against a negative media campaign against him and politicians in Congress determined to prevent him from serving out his term. I venture to say that they are their own worst enemies. They are simply insuring another Trump victory in 2020.

With President Donald J. Trump you either like him or hate him there is no in between. That is your right as an American and as an individual. It is also your right and your responsibility to stop following the media’s talking heads and listen to what the President says and does and judge his motivations for yourself. Is he seeking personal gain, more wealth and more power at YOUR expense? I think not. Who in the world would trade his vast fortune, the power and prestige of his self-made empire for the opportunity to suffer constant humiliation FOR AMERICA? Name one politician who gave it all up to become a public servant for the cause of America since George Washington? Name one? America needs a bulldog in the White House and his name is Trump! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen

4-19-2019

Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen

Have you dined out at one of those fine dining establishments? Have you ever peered into the kitchen? If so what did you see, lots of people performing a variety of tasks related to meal creation, preparation and kitchen cleanup. There may be bakers, pie makers, pasta guys and specialty cooks, but there is only one chief cook and bottle washer and he’s the Head Chef. Every morsel must pass HIS test and made to his standard or it doesn’t get served.

The same thing is true on a job, there are workers doing specific skills and always there is a supervisor or shift leader making sure the work gets done. Usually there is a quality control team insuring products meet company standards. There may be a project manager or an overall superintendent or shop foreman. Ultimately there is an owner, corporate executive or board of directors looking at the bottom line. Nothing gets past them.

So what about government? How is the US government similar or dis-similar to a normal bottom line corporation? Because there are so many moving parts the government is a top down organization. At the top is the Executive Branch (President) with the constitutional duty and authority to set and administer government policy both domestically and internationally. The President is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, appoints the heads of various cabinet officers and allocates funding to various agencies, which fall under this authority. The Legislative Branch (Congress) who set through legislation the laws according to the Rule of Law (Constitution) and they determine projects or agencies for taxpayer funding, protects the rights of its citizens and ensures national security. The Judicial Branch where the Supreme Court settles legal disputes by determining whether they follow the Rule of Law or not and issues final decisions pertaining to the case before it.

The US government is a Constitutional-Republic where the Constitution is the Rule of Law. It is the government’s primary responsibility is by the people, for the people and to the people and not the other way around. What we see in Congress today is basically too many chefs’ caps and not enough knowledgeable cooks so if you can’t cook – Get out of the kitchen! There are 535 members of Congress (435 in the House, 100 in the Senate) and every member of Congress who is not actively legislating to make America safe, secure and prosperous is acting like a “fake” Chef – All Hat and no gravy!

It’s hard to place the blame on members of Congress when they fail to represent the voters who sent them to Capitol Hill. They run for Congress for a variety of reasons, promising the moon and beyond but unless they are actively shooting for the moon they fail the voters who they claim to represent.

Fool me once, it’s on me; fool me twice it’s on you, right? Well what about those members of Congress who bought into a Congressional retirement plan and feel it is their duty to stay until retirement? For those who have been in office past 2 terms I ask what have you done for our country? Have you made live better or safer? Have you approved much needed infrastructure projects that benefit the nation, or have you simply pushed the pork for your state? Are you personally wealthier now than you were before you first took office? Is your motto one of America First? Have you kept in touch with your constituents? Do you even remember their names? Or are you simply another one of those Congressional Homestead Rangers who’ve set their sights on higher political office and this was just one of those stepping stones.

I’m not the answer man by any means, but it’s important to remember where you came from and how you got to where you are? If you were to go “undercover” back in your home state or district and into the job you had before being elected could you still do the job?

Patriotism is not about any political office or rung on the ladder, it’s about putting the country ahead of yourself and doing everything within your power (and then some) to insure that the United States of America is better because you served in elected office. It’s about being honest in all that you do and benefitting everyone by putting your politics in action.

Putting the welfare of the nation does not mean making the nation a welfare state! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Triggering Not With A Weapon

4-18-2019

Triggering Not With A Weapon

Recently Freshman Rep. Ilhan Abdullah Omar (D-MN) said of 9/11 it was only “some people doing something”. Which triggered a response from President Trump that included a video of the Twin Towers on 9/11/01 and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said President Trump’s tweed put Rep. Omar’s life in jeopardy as she began receiving death threats. Omar’s statement came across as anti-American and called into question her loyalty toward the USA. Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently claimed that people should stop posting photos of 9/11 because they are triggers, You Think? By now you would think that everyone knows for every action there is an opposite yet sometimes unequal reaction which we call consequences and one of them may be called triggers.

So let’s talk about triggers.

During my youthful days there was a cowboy named Roy Rogers with a horse named “Trigger”. The horse was later stuffed and put on displayed in the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum in California where it remained until the museum closed a few years ago and I couldn’t tell you where Trigger is today.

When Donald Trump announced he was running for President of the United States people thought it was a publicity stunt. It was soon very apparent that Trump would beat all odds to take the GOP nomination and the 2016 election. Hillary Clinton was upstaged and from that point on the name Trump became a trigger. So much so that every word, tweet, catch phrase or abbreviation uttered by the President triggered a complete snowflake meltdown that continues even today with the never-Trumpers.

Out of that meltdown the word “snowflake” became a trigger identifiable by grown adults using diaper pins to identify with TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome), grabbing a box of tissues and going to their safe place all because President Trump won the election.

So then TDS became  a trigger identifiable by liberal Dems in Congress and throughout the nation.

Candidate Trump said he was going to “Build the Wall” which immediately became a trigger because it represents a blocking illegal immigration into the USA. Just saying the words causes liberals and Dems alike to have another meltdown. What does the Wall really represent to normal thinking American’s across the nation – National Security!

Candidate Trump also campaigned on “Draining the Swamp” which caused an untold number of politicians, lobbyists and other financial backers to become unhinged (TDS). Nobody knew there was a swamp, but since then we’ve see some pretty strange things happened with politicians and in Washington DC. What does the Swamp really represent – Corruption in Government!

The President rescued three young American athletic, who were caught stealing sunglasses from several shops near their hotel, from an untold number of years in a Chinese jail. The father of one of the boys who was traveling with the athletes in China said it was no big deal.

This was shortly after the inauguration in 2017, Do you think Trump will get a thank you?” asked the President. The thieves apologized and almost immediately recanted saying they were made to apologize in order to stay in school. The media made it into a big deal out of nothing. To this day I’ve never heard one sincere apology by anyone to the President for stepping in and bringing home. It simply became a trigger for the media.

Another incident began with Colin Kapernick kneeling rather than standing for the National Anthem at an NFL Football game. The President responded that anyone who doesn’t stand or respect the anthem or the flag should be fired from the NFL. That was a trigger which NFL teams and the NFL chose to side with the players. The media decided to stop broadcasting the National Anthem prior to NFL games. Kneeling became the trigger which spread this disrespectful behavior all the way down into local schools across the nation. Some on the US Olympic Team refused to stand for the US National Anthem as they knelt in solidarity with Colin Kapernick, a fact that Kapernick triggered all by himself.

Candidate Trump reported that Trump campaign offices in Trump Tower had been wiretapped illegally by the Obama DOJ and that also became a trigger.

Recent triggers are the red M.A.G.A. (Make America Great Again) hats that the President made famous and available during the rallies and continue being sold online and in stores today. The Dems and the leftists want you to believe that MAGA hats are the equivalent of the KKK hoods (MAGA is the new KKK) which is laughable.

How would afraid would you be if in an eatery with your friends enjoying a burger and fries. A group of guys with their red MAGA hats on backwards, pulled down covering their faces and posing a serious threat? How would that look anyway?

The real threat is having liberal leftists beating, punching or throwing food on the person wearing the MAGA hat, then snatching the hat and walking away laughing.

Using the Second Amendment as a pretense for nullifying the right to bear arms from the Constitution is also a trigger, one that brings out Constitutionalists and Patriots alike in defense of the Bill of Rights. To be offended is a choice. To use being offended as is a trigger and then acting upon it against another is also a choice. What I find is the best use of a trigger is the one on a firearm that sends a projectile downrange toward the target. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
