The Uncivil War

“Don’t answer the foolish arguments of fools, or you will become as foolish as they are.” – Proverbs 26:4 (NLT)

It seems like every day brings forth a new absurdity in the human race where everyone is a participant and absolutely nobody gets out alive. There is a story on the internet where the reading of a headstone in a cemetery shows the deceased life as a dash (date of birth – dash – date of death).

If our life really is defined in the dash what does your dash say about you?

What we are seeing on television, in the news media and on the internet is what would seem as totally new ways to herald the deprivation or abuse of human beings. We hear of wars and rumors of wars in places we have never heard of or to a people we have never known. In Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East and in the Americas there are people fearing for their very lives and the world is content to focus their attention on meaningless acts and actions which are here today and will be gone tomorrow.

The slaughter of men, women and children because of their faith should be appalling to everyone, regardless of which faith you practice, however it is simply ignored when it is perpetuated against those of the Christian faith which was simply called “The Way”. It is the faith of those who believe in Jesus as the Christ, who is the only way to Heaven.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 NIV

In the United States there are some who believe that supporters of President Trump are nothing more than religious followers and are being mistreated and discriminated against. Since November 9th 2016 there has been a marked increase in class and racial violence across American which has been organized, financed and supported by what some are calling actors of the “Deep State”, which include some within the DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA as well as select “charitable” organizations and even select legislators, White House staff and members of the judiciary, select media outlets and international contributors.

The ultimate purpose and goal of the deep state is deeply troubling as it is to prevent President Trump from governing effectively and to ultimately remove him from office, one way or another.  These are in actuality the acts of an uncivil war pitting the constitutionally grounded presidency of Donald Trump and his followers (Christian and Constitutional Patriots) against the actors of the deep state.

Now that the heavily redacted FISA warrant application has been released and shows the basis for the “Russia Collusion” fiasco of Robert Mueller-led special counsel against President Trump, it is time for the DOJ to conclude the investigation and make public the results. This will free up assets of the Attorney General’s office to go after and prosecute the real perverter’s of justice.

There are many other areas which need addressed as they pertain to this uncivil war, namely the actions and activities of the CIA and the NSA, who presently are conducting surveillance on US citizens, in violation of US laws; the conduct and actions of those in the FBI who harbor and aid these and other criminal acts; the organizers and financiers of subversive groups and activities against the government of the United States. The president may wish to consider a review of cabinet level agencies and their operating procedures in order to reduce the size of these agencies, the size of government and a reduction in force of personnel.

There are sufficient numbers of fire arms suppliers, training facilities and military veterans with the skills necessary to activate an auxiliary quick reactionary force (AQRF) to be activated by the executive branch (POTUS, VPOTUS) in the event of a cataclysmic event of national/regional importance requiring its use against domestic terrorists and insurgents or to reinforce active and guard forces in defense of the homeland. The time is coming, and may now be upon us when domestic and foreign terrorists may attempt to openly challenge the legitimacy of this Constitutional Republic on the field of battle or in the streets of America. The survival of our nation and our way of life is at stake! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

T.D.S. Explained

“Trump Derangement Syndrome (T.D.S.) – The ability to become legally insane over all things Trump.” – Me

I recently did a google search on arguing with fools and this fits perfectly in the far-left liberal mindset of today. “There are two kinds of fools: those who can’t change their opinions and those who won’t.” – Josh Billings.

There are those in the upper levels of the Democrat Party and in Congress who have established a pattern of making mountains out of mole hills. Someone presents a non-issue every time an important decision made by President Trump requires the Congress to enact legislation or to render a vote.

Cases in point:

President’s cabinet nominations resulting character assassinations, stalling and delaying or impending.

President’s nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the SCOTUS resulted in pushback about Immigration; DACA; Stormy.

President issues constitutionally sound executive order stopping immigration from certain countries? Judicial interference which went to SCOTUS and was ruled constitutionally sound!

President challenged Congressional leaders to fix immigration and DACA? No significant action taken.

President chided Rocket Man and Congress began saying POTUS was starting WWIII with DPRK.

President announced talks with Leader Kim, Congress condemned it.

President pulls out of talks with DPRK, Congress condemns him.

President conducts face-to-face meeting with DPRK Leader Kim and signs denuclearization agreement, Congress condemns it.

President cancels international agreements that do not favor US interests, Congress condemns him.

President Talks tough with UN, NATO, G7 and Congress condemns him for it.

President levies tariffs on certain countries to obtain fair and balanced reciprocal tariffs, Congress condemns him.

President instructs DOJ on Zero Tolerance with unlawful entry and Congress condemns him but as the legislative body who writes laws, does nothing to fix immigration.

President meets face-to-face with Russia’s President Putin, Congress condemns him and calls it treason, when it is a negotiation for cooperation between two nuclear super powers to prevent misuse of nuclear arsenal.

Organized and funded demonstrations, rioting and civil unrest are tools being implemented to create racial and class division to bring chaos and anarchy to main street America and as anyone can see there is collusion and or subversion and attempts at an overthrown of the President by the DEEP STATE (CIA, DOJ, FBI, Military and even Congress) INSIDE the United States, aimed with lies, slander, smearing, character assassination, malalignment, and all means available. America is a nation in crisis as the political elite attempt to disrupt and remove (if able) President Trump from the office of President of the United States. Recent events have made it so overwhelmingly clear that three blind mice could see.

What the political elite have not taken into account, again, is the fact that governments are raised up and taken down in accordance with God’s will and his perfect plan. When a man or woman is in the center of God’s will for their life, and his plan has not yet been accomplished there is nothing that can prevent them from completing the task they have been given. Donald J. Trump has been given a task of defeating political correctness and reigning in evil. It is the responsibility of all Christians to pray for our leaders, our nation and our nation’s enemies and ask God to continue to guide our president as he does what God requires and what we elected him to do.

Remember this – If you are not part of the solution, you ARE the problem. I surely wouldn’t want to be in your shoes as you oppose what God Almighty has ordained. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Lead, Follow or Get out of the Way!

7-19-2018

Lead Follow or Get Out of the Way

Anyone who’s been the military has heard at least a thousand times, “Lead, Follow or get out of the way” and it means exactly what it says. America has always needed leaders who lead by example. Leaders who say, “Follow Me!” But when it’s time to step aside, how do we?

During my 22 years in the Army I found myself in the unique position of being what they called, “Critical Personnel”, or mission essential. As a leader I was irreplaceable in the eyes of our unit and often it meant coming to work earlier than the troops, working hard to insure they were on task and doing what was needed, even under extreme circumstances, and staying later or in meetings analyzing their performance and preparing to do it all over again the next day.

The Army way of breaking up the “monotony” was to switch up the game with what are called Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders and sometimes it was every year or two, or in the case of overseas duty normally three years. Every change in duty assignments would take you to becoming the new guy and “learning the ropes” of the new job, the unit mission and getting to know and be known by the troops you were going to lead.

I didn’t claim to be the greatest leader, but I treated my men and women as I wanted to be treated. At times I took risks in favor of the troops, but not at the expense of mission accomplishment. There were times when taking a normal leave of absence was not possible. Furthering my educational goals was difficult at best, because I needed to be on top of the situations daily.

Once a new assignment came up, orders received and it was time to turn the group over to my replacement and I had signed out of the unit, it was as if I was never there. The mission continued and time marched on and they soon forgot that had even I existed.

Every new assignment brought new challenges and new responsibilities, as well as frequent changes for the kids in new schools and new employment opportunities for my wife. It was difficult for our families or personally to make real and lasting friendships because it was on to the next assignment, the next mission and the next set of circumstances. During my active duty I went to many different countries (Thailand, Panama, Germany and Japan) as well as to different units like Transportation, Infantry, Recruiting and Armor in places like Washington, Colorado, Indiana, California, Missouri and Virginia and in most cases taking my family along.

There was never a time where I thought it necessary to go back and tell my replacement or my former leaders what they should do or how they should do it. Leaders lead, then step aside and get out of the way so that others may lead. Any other action is uncalled for, unnecessary and completely selfish.

I say this because what I see and hear on the political scale in America is the complete opposite. Today our politicians want to monopolize their time in the public eye, and often fail to lead by example, but by decree and once they are no longer in office they continue to act as if they are. It is unprofessional to take political pot shots at the one you turned your office over to and it is shameful and brings discredit to you, your name and to your profession.

Everyone who survived the eight years of Barack Obama as President can honestly say, “I Survived Obama”, and things are getting better. So much so that even a blind mouse can sense the presence of a cat. For the Obamas to decline to come out and advocate for national unity (not guaranteed national income for all) and to travel internationally and to join liberal legislative members of Congress in criticizing President Trump is utterly disgraceful.

Especially when the resistance movement began with public riots, there was not a peep or public statement to cease and desist by Barack or Michelle Obama. There were no calls from them to say enough is enough.

Even though in the past Barack Obama has said there is no racial division because we are all simply Americans. It is the same thing Donald Trump has and is saying now that we are Americans and his priority is for all Americans to prosper together.

So I challenge Barack Obama to step aside completely and go stalk your presidential library, maybe start by funding it by yourself and your supporters without the aid of any outside tax dollars. Lead that effort AND begin bringing Americans of all races and nationalities and all political parties together in support of the betterment of America under President Trump because that is what leaders do.

I challenge the media to stop inciting division in America and return to reporting the news as it happens without your editorializing and psyo-analyzing the grammar and/or words of President Trump and do your duty to promoting the positive qualities that are American values.

I challenge Americans to stand up for your rights as guaranteed by the Constitution before they are no more. Citizenship requires responsibility for your actions and accountability for your words and deeds and compassion for your fellow man. United States citizenship makes you neither better nor worse than anyone else regardless of their national citizenship, but it does require bringing common sense to the table. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Who Goes There – Friend or Foe?

guard-duty

7-17-2018

Who Goes There – Friend or Foe?

In the military we are trained during basic training that while on guard duty when someone approaches the guard post at night and it’s too dark to make out the other person the guard is to issue a challenge, “Who Goes There, Friend or Foe?” It is to be followed up with the challenge code. The correct answer allows you entrance. The incorrect answer is usually from a drill sergeant just to see what you will do.

So the Helsinki Summit is being played the same way by those who think President Trump did it wrong. In their eyes the president betrayed the intelligence community and took sides with Russian President Putin, a skilled and cunning former KGB leader. The president should have sided against Putin and stuck a gun in his face and said, “Go ahead Punk, Make My Day!” Like Dirty Harry would have done. Am I right?

Well that plays good in the movies and everyone is yelling, “SHOOT HIM, SHOOT HIM!”

That may work in different settings or under different circumstances or in a perfect world. But we are not in a perfect world and everybody is not President Trump with an entirely different approach to the same world issues that has faced other presidents before him.

Look at events of the last few days leading up to the summit. After almost 2 years of investigation Assistant AG Rosenstein released the 12 names of alleged Russian agents who tampered in the 2016 election, just prior to the well announced and planned summit between Presidents Trump and Putin. Anyone find that a bit odd?

Senator minority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has been screaming loud and clear for President Trump NOT to meet with Putin whom Schumer was seen having a latte with Putin in New York just a few years ago. Schumer and his democratic and RINO allies have systematically called for and actively supported resistance of President Trump over virtually everything said or done by the president.

The senior level CIA and FBI officials have been known opponents of President Trump and have done their part to channel false information, false narratives and fictitious documentation in order to find the president guilty of something, anything so he will resign and go back to Trump Tower in disgrace.

Now you want us to believe that President Trump is to call them “Friend” and Russian President Putin “Foe” and restart the cold war mentality all over again? I don’t think so and neither does President Trump who chose to call Putin a “Competitor” when it comes to oil production and distribution; an equal nuclear power; and possible ally in dealing with Syria it’s refugee situation and protecting Israel.

If that makes him a “traitor” as some of our well known and yet to be punished “traitors” seem to think, they are sorely mistaken. I did not see even one small Cessna loaded with a pallet of cash circle the airport at Helsinki, waiting for the Trump signal to “hand it over to Russia”. Last time I checked there was no secret flight plan of Americas natural resources like Uranium One to be sold and transported to Putin once the talks were completed, as some previous president has done.

What I think is this, when you are to begin negotiating with a person, company or nation concerning international and foreign affairs you don’t go thru the door firing wildly and expecting instantaneous results.

“It’s a very imperfect world, and you can’t always choose your friends. That’s life. But you can never fail to recognize your enemies.” – Donald J. Trump

So in the very real world of politics and in the spirit of cooperation President Trump took the common sense and realistic approach for negotiating and I wouldn’t expect a liberal, left-wing, RINO, Snowflake or crybaby to understand what common sense actually is based upon what is said in the media or on the internet.

I do expect to see many more of these Trump-style meetings with other world leaders to take place over the next 6+ years and a new world reality of dealing with the United States requires good old common sense and good judgement. There is still a lot of ground to cover.

The United States is no longer being lead from behind (reverse leadership) Obama-style where you push the unwilling or unable off the proverbial cliff before walking away brushing off the dust your hands have made and blaming it on the other guy.

Here in the United States we must decide if we want continued rebellion, insurrection and sedition or do we want to follow the rule of law as set out in the United States Constitution? – I am the Real Truckmaster!

The Helsinki Summit

The Helsinki Summit

On July 16, 2018 Presidents Trump (USA) and Putin (RF) held their first Summit in Helsinki, Finland and it was a great start by two leaders wanting better relations between these two nuclear super powers. Their greeting and pre-summit talks were cordial and friendly as they prepared their one-on-one closed door session.

Back home in the United States the liberal left socialist-leaning Democratic Party and RINO members in Congress while attempting to sabotage the summit by first releasing the names of 12 Russians who allegedly interfered with the 2016 elections to give then candidate Trump the edge over party favorite Hillary; then demanding that the president call out Putin for the hostile takeover of Crimea; even questioning as Hillary did the presidents loyalty; feeding to the media a false narrative that the president threw the FBI and the US intelligence community “under the bus”, combining all the lefts worst fears into one neat little snowball aimed to derail the summit.

Let me say this one more time “SHAME ON YOU” to all you naysayers. Your tactics do not work as more and more Americans are just a bit smarter than you give us credit for. In fact we are quite a bit smarter and can see through your lies and innuendoes.

The summit was a success as President Trump held President Putin’s feet to the fire about issues that are important to both nations and to the world. They talked about the denuclearization of North Korea being a good thing for the world; about Iran and its use of nuclear material for non-military purposes; the need for safeguarding nuclear weapons within the two countries; Syria and Israel and the need to insure the safety of both nations and the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland to live in peace; and a host of other issues mutually beneficial to both countries.

During the questioning after the closed door session reporters asked a series of loaded questions in an attempt to create or inflame divisions between the United States and the Russian Federation. One asked if Putin compiled secret info on Trump during his trips to Russia in the years prior to the 2016 election and Putin responded that he had not. Another asked Trump about statements on the Russian pipeline placing Germany in a bad position with Russia, and that Trump said the US would replace Russia as a supplier of petroleum, which Trump said both nations were in competition as suppliers.

There were other questions for each leader and ultimately questions dealing with the trumped up investigation where Putin said Russia was not involved in the 2016 campaign or election; Trump said the investigation was fake and wondered how the investigators could tell if Russia was involved because the FBI was asked to leave the DNC HQ without handling the DNC servers, or the missing emails of Hillary and it’s pretty hard to come to a conclusion without all the facts or computer devices.

There were pledges of cooperation in many areas as the United States and Russian Federation attempt to have future summits and foster closer cooperation. Putin even invited the Mueller team to Russia to become involved with Russian investigators should the evidence show Russian involvement.

President Trump congratulated Russia on winning the World Cup in Soccer and President Putin presented Trump with the winning football, which Trump thanked him and said the ball would go to his son Barron. Putin then invited the US to host the 2026 World Cup and Trump accepted the invitation

In my book the summit was a resounding success and I look forward to future summits between the two countries and continued cooperation in solving many of the world’s issues. I am disappointed at the continued attempts to smear President Trump and demean or belittle this summit as they have been doing with the Singapore Summit with President Trump and North Korean Leader Kim.

Every time there has been a potential breakthrough in international affairs or at home in the US the fully committed socialistic Democratic Party lead by men and women in congress who belong to the Congressional Black Caucus and other socialistic caucuses or special interest groups bring their circus into the public forum attempting to prevent meaningful changes that can improve the lives of Americans and peoples of other nations.

There are not many alive today who remember the coalition of the United States, United Kingdom and the Soviet Union during World War II where the leaders of all three nations worked together to combat Nazi Germany and Japan in their quest to conquer the world. Since the end of the war we’ve had the infamous Cold War, Korean War and many, many other wars and conflicts that have helped maintain hostile relations.

When has an American President gone on the offensive internationally to calm world relations between hostile nations without trotting around plane loads of cash or dragging their chin on the ground apologizing for America more than pulling its fair share?

When has an American President become engaged in the betterment of America and the American people while being smeared, belittled and targeted by American politicians (Legislators and media) for doing what Americans elected him to do?

Don’t you think it’s time to dump the petty politics and political stunts and begin acting like Americans who stand beside this president, rather than standing in front of him in opposition?

Freedom of Speech as guaranteed in the Constitution does not give one the right for “Freedom of Stupidity” although many seem to think so, while trashing the very document they say gives them that right.

It is the right, the privilege and the duty of ALL AMERICANS to PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES against ALL ENEMIES both foreign and DOMESTIC.

Letter to my Democratic Friend – Hank

I’m not concerned with Trump’s medical deferments or his meeting with Putin. In fact I’m only concerned with the level of obstruction by everyone in the government (including congress) who attempt to overthrow his presidency. That is treasonous!

But I’ll say this you are a good man and a patriot, but like so many others you have been greatly misinformed (fooled if you will) on our presidents by the leftist propaganda-based media (fake news). I don’t normally go into spiritual discussions with someone unless I know they are a believer and understand about such matters, with you I am making an exception.

This battle is for the United States of America and over the constitution. It is not a battle of wits and who is the smartest among us. It is a spiritual battle where the devil continues to rebel against Almighty God and because our country and our constitution were based on the bible and on biblical principles, it is essential that both are destroyed.

This country has been led by men of all types of character, military, politicians, lawyers, and in a few instances businessmen. What has happened in the past is they serve their time as president and fade back into a normal American life, unless the taste for power overcomes them. In that case they hang on as long as possible and in some cases refuse to let go of the power they held.

John Kennedy was killed while wielding that power and now lies in Arlington National Cemetery.

LBJ got bogged down wielding that power and returned to Texas.

Nixon resigned wielding that power and returned to California.

Carter ineffectively wielded that power and returned to Georgia.

Reagan helped shape the world wielding that power and returned to California.

GHW Bush continued shaping the world wielding that power and returned to Massachusetts.

Bill Clinton began to re-shape America wielding that power then stayed in New York.

GW Bush changed how America fights terrorism after 9/11 wielding that power and returned to Texas.

BHO promised to forever change America wielding that power then stayed in DC.

DJT promised to return America to its former greatness wielding that power.

How many have stayed silent on politics after leaving office?

How many have publicly criticized their predecessor?

How many have publicly praised their predecessor?

How many have become rich while in office as president?

How many have forgone riches to become president?

How many have used their political office for monetary gain?

How many have immediately begun changing their predecessor’s policies after taking office?

How many have left the office of president in worse shape than when they arrived?

Which president dodged the draft and fled the country to evade military service?

Which president pardoned all draft dodgers after the Vietnam War?

Which president claimed transparency in government but acted behind closed doors?

Which president conducted open to media meetings and leaked misinformation caused public outrage?

Which president pardoned the most convicted criminals while in office?

You can fill in the blanks.

Our nation has been spiraling out of control for quite some time and the American people have been oblivious to the imminent destruction in its path. Our society today has everyone “choosing” to be offended by anyone and anything it is a Spirit of Political Correctness. It is destructive in nature and invisible to see, it breeds hatred and irrupts into chaos.

Christians (followers of Jesus) have been praying for God to intervene and to save America from certain destruction. Because God is a God who answers prayer, he can choose to say Yes, No or nothing at all. God’s word is true and he tells us to pray specifically; believing that the answer is coming; and to wait upon Him. We do.

Americans were over confident during the election cycle between George H.W. Bush and William Jefferson Clinton. We prayed for a Bush victory, if it was God’s will. What resulted was a crushing defeat and we didn’t understand why God would give the presidency to Clinton.

We survived 8 years of the Clinton presidency and again we prayed during the election cycle of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. We prayed for a Bush victory, but not necessarily if it was God’s will.

The bible teaches us to ask God, not demand of God. Demanding of God doesn’t normally work out well and in both cases above we got what we asked for and God permitted it.

I felt at the time and wrote an editorial on how G.W. Bush was meant to be president for such a time as the events of 9/11/01. I still feel that way and we survived the Bush years.

The bible says that God institutes governments and appoints kings and who am I to demand anything of the one who created everything?

The election cycle of G.W. Bush and Barack H. Obama was another contentious one as Americans were tired of war and wanted someone who promised utopia. We prayed for a Bush win, but God had other plans. God gave America what they wanted, a popular guy figure and for the first time an African-American. It was a win – win situation, right?

Obama gave us the infamous Obamacare (an idea he took from Hillary and Bill Clinton – they tried to get it passed as Hillarycare, but it failed in congress); Worldwide America Apology Tour; Cash for Clunkers; Fanny Mae – Freddy Mack home loans for the poor; Guns to the Mexican Cartels; North Korea Denuclearization debacle; $200M to Iran for Military Hostages; Islamic Terrorists swap for army deserter; Benghazi; DACA; Uranium One; Clinton email scandal; Clinton Foundation – Haiti scandal (to name a few of the big ones). We survived the Obama years.

The election cycle between Hillary R. Clinton and Donald J. Trump was a totally new level in American politics. Hillary Clinton a 34 year political figure and shoe in for the Democratic Party against a political unknown, businessman Donald Trump.

There was an uncounted upon figure in this election cycle – God. The bible tells us a story in Isaiah 45 about King Cyrus who was not a godly man, yet God chose him to be King. During the campaign it was revealed to two prominent Christian businessmen that God had chosen someone who was not a godly man to become president after the pattern of Isaiah 45.

Who could be a better representation of this ungodly man than Donald Trump, a self-made man, a go getter, someone who doesn’t hesitate to make decisions, sometimes bad ones, but decisions none the less? He has money (lots of it), material things (many toys), and is someone the world envies because of what he has accumulated and people of high society love to be around him. Trump is a man of power. He was hated by the left and the right, by Christians and non-Christians alike. Nobody took his presidential bid seriously. Precisely the man God chose, not because of his worldly successes, but because of God’s grace. God has a special task in mind – answering prayer – God’s way.

Donald Trump was available and obedient when God called him. Trump could have run for president any number of times but chose not to, it wasn’t the right time. Trump has said he would only run when he knew he would win. It’s not the running that excites Trump, it’s the winning.

During the campaign Donald J. Trump found God, not in the traditional sense. He wasn’t raised in church, although like many people he went to church on special days (Christmas and such), he did not know God, but he came to know God and God’s plan for his life which had led him to this moment.

God chose Donald J. Trump to become the “Wrecking Ball to the spirit of political correctness”. That is exactly what has been happening. Trump succeeds where politicians have not. Trump has a saying that roughly says “nobody can choose good friends all the time. Nobody can afford to NOT recognize their enemy” (Paraphrased).

Trump has selectively halted immigration from certain countries; begun building the wall; sought for comprehensive immigration reform; improved relationships with world leaders; brought Kim Jung Un to the negotiation table; improved the economy; supports our military and law enforcement; sought for a level trading field with all nations of the world all the while battling liberals in congress and in the media to return this nation to its former greatness. His determination is breaking down the political correctness in the United States and allowing all Americans to live a more productive life.

As I watch President Trump I can see that the successes of his presidency hinge upon following the leading of the Holy Spirit. Every word (spoken or tweeted) by Donald Trump is met with opposition by men and women in power, in politics, in the media and throughout the nation and the world because they do not know the power of the God who first called, then anointed Donald J. Trump for the presidency.

It is the Spirit of Political Correctness that directs these often personal attacks on all things Trump and those of us who support him and his presidency. This I believe and the bible declares that “Greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world.” And the demons of hell cannot stand against the powerful and Almighty God of Abraham; not even the god of Islam.

While being in the shadow of the Almighty, in his perfect will and under the leading of the Holy Spirit, there is no power on earth that can stop a man of God on a mission which God himself has sanctioned. President Donald J. Trump is that man on that mission. – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Why the Constitution?

Constitution

Why the Constitution?

Let’s say you have land and want to build your new dream house. You have a floorplan, building permit and a contractor. Now that you’re ready to build where do you start? Naturally you’d start with a foundation.

If Democrats were builders they would have you to believe that you don’t need any of that, all you need is a “want to” and the only thing that matters is the “want to”. You don’t need rules, those you can make up any time and change them on a whim and since you’re the only one who really knows best what the people need, and they don’t matter but are only needed to provide the funding. That is how democrats approach the United States Constitution.

The United States Constitution is the foundation of this nation. It is the Rule of Law that is the blueprint for law and order. When someone attempts to inject their personal “Want To” into our society it must be measured against the Constitution and without it we are just another third world country or worse yet our country is no more. Let that penetrate for a moment. Let it sink in.

Many have mis-categorized our country as a democracy which is run by a tyrant. Which we are not, the United States of America is republic, more correctly a Constitutional-Republic. We are a republic which is guided by a constitution and our nation is the only one of its kind in the world. We are the shining light upon the hill as President Ronald Reagan once talked about.

When you hear those on the left spout nonsense about open borders, unfiltered immigration, laws don’t matter (unless you’re a conservative or a republican) what you are hearing is garbage aimed at making the Constitution irrelevant in an attempt to remove our government, and forever change our way of life.

That may sound great to the uneducated, misinformed and socially outcasts who act like 2 year olds throwing a fit. That is why the millennial movement appealed to so many of our young people who thought back to the days of free love or the anything goes hippy movement of the 1960s.

They have bought into the free stuff generation where the government gives you food, phones, housing and medical and it costs you nothing because it’s free. This same generation is obliged to stay seated or kneel before the flag and the national anthem; to them it becomes a badge of honor. There is nothing honorable about dishonor!

Let me insert something here about honor. Honor is earned, not given away freely and freedom isn’t free. Unless you have taken the oath, served in the military, overseas or on the field of battle you will never understand the price of freedom or liberty until it is taken away from you.

To truly understand go to a federal prison, go inside and see the inmates who are locked up, talk to those serving life sentences and ask them, “What is the price of freedom”? Or go visit a Mexican prison; look at the squalor, the cells and the number of people in each one. Look at their faces, hear their cries. Listen to the cries for freedom.

Our men and women in uniform have taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, both foreign and domestic. That means for us we will defend the Constitution for you our fellow Americans and if necessary against you or anyone who attempts to render it useless or irrelevant. We will stand in the gap for liberty and for freedom! Our oath is before the God who created us and by whose help we ask in upholding it. Unless you have stood by our side, in our boots and worn our uniforms you cannot know the ultimate importance we place upon that Constitution you consider so disgusting.

Show me one single country where one has the freedom to protest, yet the built in guarantee of the ability to change the government should it become tyrannical? Truth or Consequences

Truth or Consequences

I remember watching Bob Barker (1956 – 1975) on the television show Truth or Consequences where they would mix original quiz elements of the game shows with wacky stunts. If you saw the program you know how funny things could be.

The Congressional Oversight Committee hearing reminded me of the television show of old. You would have a committee member given 5 minutes to question FBI agent Peter Strzok and once recognized by Chairman Trey Goudy the “fun” would begin. I have to admit that I only watched a portion of the hearing, but once a democratic member began blabbing on about the Trump Administration’s treatment of children at the border and other matters not related to the hearings I changed the channel. I would rather watch “The View” than be in the room where the hearings took place, and that would be far worse than a root canal.

Catching glimpses of the hearing online it totally resembles the show Truth or Consequences. Republican members would begin questioning and democratic members would interrupt, delay and impede the hearing in any way possible. Now I see why the U.S. Congress has a hard time conducting business. If the democrats would put as much effort into creating meaningful legislation to fix the issues they simply complain about they might come close to earning their pay.

Ever since President Trump gave them a challenge to conduct comprehensive immigration reform, fix DACA and provide funding for the military, law enforcement and the wall the democratic stall tactics have been the only thing congress has been able to accomplish.

As for FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page, the story is completely different, yet not. Their affair was wrong, in light of the fact the Strzok was married and that employees mixing sex with professional conduct is also wrong.

What the liberals AND democrats want to overlook is the personal political bias of these two individuals. Agent Strzok would have us to believe that there was no bias. I submit that there was bias as everyone has an opinion about politics when it pertains to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

As evidenced in the released text messaging between Strzok and Page there bias is clearly apparent. Their intent was to stop Trump from becoming president (he was irrelevant) and not to tick off Hillary because she was the expected president-to-be and would remember (FBI or DOJ) who went against her. That was their reality; their “Truth” and the only thing that mattered at the time. They were more concerned with impressing and insuring that their expected new boss (Hillary) would remember them as hard working “patriots” for Hillary and they forgot about the “Consequences”.

It’s obvious that someone in the Trump campaign or security did a sweep of Trump Towers and the campaign headquarters and found “bugs” or surveillance listening devices. When candidate Trump began tweeting about it everyone simply ignored it as the ramblings of a mad man. After the election results were in and Donald Trump was the nominee the Strzok contingency plan went into high gear and began being formulated by Assistant AG Rosenstein.

After the inauguration of President Trump and the confirmation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a memo was sent by Rosenstein informing him that the president needed to fire FBI director Comey for violating FBI protocol. After Comey was removed as FBI director, Rosenstein began an investigation which became the trumped up Mueller-led Investigation of “Trump-Russia Collusion”. It’s obvious that the Strzok plan was working and according to text messages from Strzok Trump would be out of office in a month or two (resigning).

What’s funny to me is that “Collusion” is not a crime, at least according to Strzok during the hearing and shortly after that being said Assistant AG Rosenstein announced that no Americans have been charged with collusion during the investigation, only 11 Russian operatives or organizations.

So why is the investigation still ongoing? Why is Paul Manafort still in prison, for lying to the FBI? Isn’t that exactly what Strzok and Page did, they lied to each other and attempted to prevent or stop a presidential candidate from becoming president?

As I said earlier Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were so caught up in themselves and each other that they forgot about the consequences. They had not wanted to upset Hillary and were not worried about Trump because in their view he did not matter.

I must admit that in the 8 years of the Obama presidency, Barack Obama made a singularly true statement when he said, “Elections have Consequences, and at the end of the day I’m still President.” (Paraphrased, I’m sure).

Those words have never been truer for Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the democrats in congress, and the American people than they are today.

The Spirit of Political Correctness

7-13-2018

The Spirit of Political Correctness

It seems like over the past few years the world and our nation have been taken over by the demonic spirit of political correctness. It begins by someone claiming to be offended by the actions, words and deeds taken by another. This leads to hurt feelings and breeds contempt, disgust and outright hatred.

Where there is hatred there is no love. Love comes from God as He alone is the very essence of love. Anyone who hates his brother but claims to love God is a liar. The love of God is not in him. He who loves God is commanded to love one another; to love your neighbor as yourself and to pray for those who spitefully use you. It is impossible to love God condone the sinful acts of man. Where your treasure is, so is your heart.

What we see in the world today has been the ultimate battle between good and evil which began as one angel thought more highly of himself and wanted to be God. Lucifer and those who followed him were ejected from heaven by God and banished to this place called earth until such time as God himself shall say enough. The violence of man can only be stopped by the Grace of God, through prayer and supplication to Almighty God.

Look at those in authority and ask yourself do they reek of the essence of love? Do their actions reflect the actions of God? Does their speech reflect the speech of God? Do their deeds reflect the values of God? We are given a measuring tool with which to judge the actions of man against what Jesus said when he said that He is the Word and that in the beginning the Word was with God and the Word was God.

Jesus is the Solution

When Jesus was born the world was looking for a warrior king, they were not looking in a stable or in a manger and they were not looking for a baby.

Jesus is the Word, he was born of a virgin, lived and died as a man on a cross for the sins of the world, and he was buried in a tomb, was raised on the third day and now sits on the throne at the right hand of God the Father. Those are historical facts that cannot be changed, argued or disputed.

Now it doesn’t matter whether or not you believe it to be true or false, it will not change the fact. What you and I must each consider is that Jesus is coming again soon for his bride (the church). He will take those believers who have died and those who remain and rapture them into the air in the twinkling of an eye. This is known to the believer as the second coming of Jesus.

Those who are left behind on the earth will encounter unspeakable horror as evil battles evil in the battle of Armageddon. It will not be pleasant it will make war look like child’s play and there will be no place to hide, not in the hills, not in the caves, or in the sea. It will be a terrible, terrible time as the entire earth becomes consumed.

I say this not to scare or cause panic, but to give you the “Good News” that Jesus loves you, and that he died for you. He is coming back again and wants you to live with him in his father’s house forever.

There are many paths that lead to destruction, but only one that leads to God the Father and that way is through Jesus who is the Christ. The bible tells us that the penalty for sin is death. Whosoever believes that Jesus Christ is the only Begotten Son of God shall not perish but have eternal life. And that God so loved the world that he sent his only Begotten Son to pay the price for our sins. It is easy to be forgiven.

Simply admit that Jesus is God, he died for your sins, then ask God to forgive you of your sin and to change your heart. In Jesus name – Amen; now turn away from sin, come together with other believers and ask God to fill your heart with His love; seek his face and pray.

Know you this – Jesus Loves You!

We do not have a political problem in America, we have a sin problem against the God who made us! – I am the Real Truckmaster!

Insight into the Faith of Donald J. Trump

Insight into the Faith of Donald J Trump

This writing is directed toward Christian believers to give insight into the faith of President Donald J. Trump. I have read and recommend a newly release book – The Faith of Donald J. Trump – A Spiritual Biography for those who want to know if his faith is for real? In a nutshell – Yes.

The bible tells us than none is perfect, no not one and Donald Trump is a poster boy for imperfection, as we all are simply fallen sinful men. When he answered the call to run for President, it was something he had been considering for more than 30 years, but the timing of God was not yet.

Donald Trump is a man who seemed to have everything, a family, money, power and fame. His name is recognized worldwide through his real estate dealings and his television show, “The Apprentice”. In fact one might liken him to King David in the Old Testament where he was the least likely to ascend to the throne, yet God chose him. Only God had a different plan for Donald Trump and it was not to be a king, but a wrecking ball.

“It’s a very imperfect world, and you can’t always choose your friends. That’s life. But you can never fail to recognize your enemies.” – Donald J. Trump

America was founded on biblical principles some 240 years before the 2016 presidential election cycle began, and it was in God’s timing to bring forth someone who knew of God, yet did not have a personal relationship with God, someone like Donald Trump. It was in the fall of 2015 that conservative Pentecostal Christian business man Lance Wallnau prophesied publicly and correctly that Donald Trump would be the next president. Wallnau had no reason or pre-knowledge and had never met Trump, nor was he on any campaign staff. In fact like many of us he had been inclined toward one of the other candidates.

A fellow Pentecostal named Kim Clement was scheduled to attend a meeting at Trump Tower in 2015 and believed he had a message about Trump, but had a stroke and could not attend. Wallnau wound up being asked to attend the meeting in his stead. After traveling to Trump Tower and meeting with a group of leaders and Trump he returned home again. He still wasn’t a Trump fan but received the Word of the Lord about presidential candidate Trump while standing in his office, he heard these words: ‘Donald Trump is a wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness.’ ” Wallnau said the words went from his left ear through to his right ear. “I heard that, and I laughed. I thought, ‘Donald Trump is a wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness.’ So I started saying that. And that was the moment that I got behind Donald Trump. I was enthusiastic for him from that moment on.”

I have read and reread several passages in this book and it is now July 2018 and from what I see in the news, on television and on the internet it is obvious that satan and the demons of hell are behind this push against Donald Trump as he battles against these forces of evil. I am absolutely sure that God chose Donald Trump because he is a man of conviction, who does not run from confrontation, nor does he beat around the bush or say things that he does not truly believe.

Many are called, but few are chosen and in this case when God chose Donald Trump he unhesitatingly said, “Here am I Lord”.

Next I’m going to include an example from the book to make my point about Donald Trump being called and appointed by God to become President (POTUS #45)

Ch. 17 – Mr. Cyrus Meets Wrecking Ball

And early on, a line in the sand seemed to be drawn by African-Americans for any of their own community who were thinking about giving support to Trump. The message was clear: Don’t!

Enter Darrell Scott, an influential African-American Pentecostal pastor from Cleveland. Scott, who had been friends with Trump for several years, thought a false narrative about Trump had emerged, that he was a racist and a bigot. Scott worked to orchestrate a meeting between Trump and black religious leaders, to help heal the divide.

Scott also called Wallnau, whom he had met at the meeting in September, and invited him to come to the meeting with the pastors.

Before the trip Wallnau had a second experience of hearing from the Lord. “But I heard the Lord say, this second time, God spoke right to my ear, and said, ‘The next President of the United States will be the forty-fifth president, and he will be an Isaiah 45 president.’ I didn’t even know who Isaiah 45 was talking about, so I opened it up—the Bible, and it says, ‘Thus says the Lord to Cyrus whom I’ve anointed.’ Right then I knew that Donald Trump corresponds to the Cyrus character in the Bible. And that he—the wrecking ball—would be the forty-fifth president.” Wallnau read further into the chapter: “And I will build for Israel my people’s sake” and “Though you have not known me.”

“That line freaked me,” Wallnau said, because “I always teach that salvation’s free but the anointing is given by God for certain tasks, and I always thought about it as a Christian currency, of being anointed or blessed. But in this case, it says God anointed a heathen ruler. And that was the moment I realized God was going to anoint someone who doesn’t know him.”

And then Wallnau said he “thought about ‘common grace’—what the late Chuck Colson taught—that common grace is the grace that God puts upon unredeemed humanity such as judges and police and governors and rulers for the restraining of evil. If it was up to only the church to restrain evil, then the whole world would be chaos like ‘Mad Max.’ But God restrains evil through strategist .  .  . and besides that, you’re a future minority. So you should show up just for that sake.”

“But God restrains evil through common grace. Saving grace is what gets a Christian saved. One aspect of common grace is that God establishes officials—even ones who are not believers—to restrain evil in society.”

Ahead of the second meeting in New York, Wallnau told Darrell Scott all these things that he had heard and thought about. “This is something two Pentecostal preachers might talk about in a phone call with enthusiasm,” Wallnau explained, “but it’s nothing you’re going to say in front of other people.”

The day of the meeting at Trump Tower arrived.

Wallnau recalled the sense of drama in the air just before the meeting. “We’re all in that room, and you can tell there were a whole bunch of people waiting to posture themselves. I mean, 90 percent of the African-American community was politically aligned against Donald Trump. The African-American community is locked up for the Democratic Party, so you’re struggling to find the objectivity. In my opinion, most of the folks who came out to Trump Tower for that meeting would be going back to deliver a report to their people on what they had done to set Trump straight. They weren’t going there to find facts or to build bridges.”

Trump came into the room holding his Bible, the one his mother gave to him. He held it out in front of him, like a shield. He paused, looked around the room, and said with a big smile, “Most of the time I bring this Bible as a prop when I’m sharing about my mother and my faith. In this case, I’m simply holding it for protection.”

Trump took his seat at the head of the table, and the dialogue began at a fast pace. Wallnau recalled the gist of it: “We can’t have this kind of insensitivity on the campaign trail. You can’t have people beating up on African-American people. There has to be more compassion.”

Wallnau remembers there being lots of back-and-forth between Trump and the pastors. Trump explained about people who were being planted at his rallies, paid to be disruptive. He said that the campaign was instructing security to be very careful about how they handle people. And that his campaign is not against anybody.

Then Trump got everyone’s attention and asked, “Let me ask you guys a question: In your church, how do you deal with this. While you’re speaking a good sermon if someone got up in the congregation and decided to storm the pulpit to get the microphone, or take over the meeting while you’re preaching, how would you deal with it?”

Wallnau said that the reaction was instantaneous. “Nobody even stopped to say, ‘Let’s be careful how we answer this’—because, in an African-American church, the very thought of you getting up and interrupting the man—no, they’ve got more respect for the man of God, like the Catholic respects their priest. In the African-American church, you’d better respect clergy. They told Trump, ‘We’d take the person out—and we may not even be pleasant on the way out the door. We wouldn’t be worried about hurting your feelings if you’re going to try to storm the pulpit when the preacher’s preaching.’ ”

Wallnau said that Trump waited until they finished, then looked at them and said: “That’s all I’m saying. The rallies are like my church service. I’m the preacher, and I’m trying to deliver my sermon.”

“They all looked at each other,” Wallnau recalled, “and there was this silence—this awkward silence as Trump had given resolution to what seemed to be an unsolvable problem. And all the racial tensions were just, like a balloon, out of the window.”

In the midst of that awkward silence, Darrell Scott—while sitting next to Trump—turned and saw Wallnau “hiding in the corner of the room.” He called out to him, “Dr. Lance, please tell Mr. Trump that word you told me.”

Wallnau said he just froze. “You know, if I was sitting next to him, I could quietly say ‘no’—but from twenty feet away, I couldn’t. So, I asked, ‘What part?’ And he said, ‘Tell him the whole thing.’ I was like, dang.”

Wallnau remembers that he pulled his Bible out of his briefcase—“one of those big King James Bibles”—and “plopped it open to Isaiah 45.” He read the passage about Cyrus and explained how this prophecy had been spoken one hundred years before Cyrus came into office.

“I told Trump that the reason God’s hand was on him was because of the grace of God—to restrain evil. And that he would be the forty-fifth president of the United States. And when it was over, Mr. Trump knew that I had prophesied over him.”

Wallnau said that after that meeting, the staff couldn’t remember his name, but people at the headquarters said just call him “the Cyrus guy.”

“The ‘Cyrus Guy’—what a stupid handle to have—but hey, listen, we take what we can get,” Wallnau joked.

When Wallnau finished, Trump came up to him privately to say something in response. Once you’ve been in Christian circles long enough, you know what to say in such a moment, something like “that really touched me” or “that ministered to me.”

“But Trump doesn’t have any of that nomenclature down,” Wallnau said. “Trump said, ‘I don’t know how to put it, but that meant a lot to me. And I’m going to think about that. It meant a lot to me.’ ”

The next example is how God used President Donald Trump to proclaim the name of the Lord into the world like no other president before him.

Ch. 29 – Riyadh, Jerusalem, and Rome

It’s not every day that you run into Ivanka Trump as you board a commercial jetliner. I was a bit blurry-eyed after covering every moment of President Trump’s “World Religion Tour” to Riyadh, Jerusalem, and Rome. I just wanted to sleep, even if I had the unlucky seat assignment in the dreaded fortieth row next to the bathroom. Yet as I made my way on board the United Airlines plane in Rome on the way back to Washington, DC, even in my near zombie-like state, it was hard to miss her.

“Ivanka?” I inquired just to make sure this wasn’t some sort of zombie dream. After all, why wasn’t she in First Class? She was with the commoners! Or better yet, why wasn’t she chartering some private plane? Surely her father could make those arrangements. But it wasn’t a dream at all.

“David, oh my goodness! How are you?” Ivanka replied with a big smile. I quickly proceeded into her row, where I noticed a man sitting next to her looking down at a newspaper wearing a baseball cap.

He looked up. “Hi David,” he exclaimed in a jovial manner.

“Jared, how are you?” It was Jared Kushner, Ivanka’s husband, or put another way: a pretty powerful player in the West Wing. Don’t let the baseball cap fool you. He’s not just the President’s son-in-law. He’s successful in his own right and has the President’s ear in all matters, big and small.

In short, I had just had an encounter with “Javanka.”

“David, what do you think of the trip so far?” Kushner said inquisitively, genuinely wanting to know my answer. On that plane that day, I gave him the thirty-second version, essentially explaining how it couldn’t have gone any better for the President. But as the legendary radio icon Paul Harvey might interject: “Now, for the rest of the story.”

The rest of this chapter of Donald Trump’s story takes place on location: from the desert plateau of Riyadh, through the holy (and toxic) city of Jerusalem, and concluding amid the one hundred ten acres of sacred Vatican ground. You could say, in many ways, the faith of Donald Trump broke new ground here, in word and in deed. He was about to proclaim the name of God in public like no other modern American president before him, and he was about to experience a spiritual awakening in the Holy Land in front of a controversial wall, perfectly appropriate for Trump!

The fact that this President chose Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as his first international stop came as a surprise to many in the media. They thought Trump would go the traditional route (why in the world would they think that?) by heading to Canada like President Obama before him or maybe Mexico like George W. Bush did in 2001. But in typical “Trumpian” fashion, he chose to go big.

God works in mysterious ways, and on that first overseas trip it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that God was up to something. Sure, he came to Riyadh to get the Saudis on board in the fight against terrorism and fortify strategic partnerships. Sure, he came to Jerusalem to begin “The Art of the Middle East Peace Deal.” And yes, going to Rome to meet the Pope was an attempt to endear himself to the influential leader of Catholics worldwide. But spiritually speaking, it was hard to miss God during Trump’s travels.

The moment President Trump landed in Riyadh, he was greeted by sweltering one-hundred-ten-degree-plus temperatures and a salute fit for a king. The red carpet was fully rolled out on the runway at King Khalid Airport, with seven attendants literally sweeping any lingering dust before the eagle (aka Air Force One) landed.

An official Saudi military salute ensued, complete with a red, white, and blue flyover and cannon fire. (They may want to rethink the cannon fire in any sort of Mideast fanfare. It can frighten a few Westerners who witness the festivities.) President Trump arrived to positive local headlines from the Saudis, honored to be host to this unconventional president and smitten with his reputation for boldness and fearlessness.

Driving through the streets of Riyadh, we saw immense signs over bridges proclaiming “Together We Prevail,” with Trump’s mug alongside that of Saudi King Salman. The only thing more striking may have been seeing a good old-fashioned American restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings, on the way to the hotel from the airport arrival ceremony. But unlike the calorie-laden Buffalo Wild Wings, what Trump would offer would be low in calories yet high in spiritual wisdom.

One thing we know about Donald Trump is that the man will refuse to say anything he doesn’t truly believe. It’s well established that Trump is not your typical politician, so when Trump delivers a speech, he’s going to lay it all on the table. Nobody—and I mean nobody—is going to put words in his mouth or tell him what to say. If he doesn’t truly believe it, he won’t say it. Or if he does, he’ll qualify it if he must.

In that context, consider the following: On this five-day “World Religion Tour,” Donald J. Trump would utter or invoke the name of God more than thirty times! We’re not counting pithy ending lines in a speech like “God bless America.” No, we’re talking hardcore God speech. It was fire and brimstone language. Goodness gracious, when was the last time a president of the United States invoked the name of God in public remarks as often as Donald Trump did during that one week alone? Reagan? No. The evangelical George W. Bush? No. Trump stands alone. Just the way he likes it.

It seemed fitting that President Trump would give his signature speech to Gulf nations at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre. The center is stunning from an architectural standpoint, a truly regal setting fit for a big moment like this, situated in the upscale diplomatic zone. Locals understand it is here where major worldwide political and business leaders meet to do business and strike deals.

For Trump, it was an opportunity to shoot straight, not mince words, and throw God squarely in the center of all things. Try these statements on for size: “Terrorists do not worship God, they worship death,” Trump exclaimed. “Every time a terrorist murders an innocent person, and falsely invokes the name of God, it should be an insult to every person of faith.” And his warning to would-be terrorists had a bold message centered on the afterlife. “If you choose the path of terror, your life will be empty, your life will be brief, and your soul will be condemned!”

The mainstream media paid no attention to his faithful, evangelical-sounding words. But make no mistake: Evangelicals were paying attention. They remember President Obama’s 2009 speech in Cairo, Egypt, where he labeled murderous terrorists as part of a “violent extremism” movement. Trump took that rhetoric to another, more realistic level, calling it “Islamist extremism.”

Evangelicals also remember how President Obama glowingly gushed about the Quran multiple times during that 2009 speech. In the Age of Trump that was not going to happen—and it didn’t. He had no words at all devoted to the Quran. That isn’t surprising considering that during our first interview at Trump Tower back in 2011 he questioned what was being taught from the Quran, remarking, “There’s something there that teaches some very negative vibe.”

Speaking of negative vibes, what waited next for Trump was a land full of them, better known as Israel.

Fireworks lit up the night sky over the Old City in Jerusalem, a beautiful sight to behold indeed as our CBN crew watched nearby from a local rooftop. Those explosives in the sky were nothing compared to the emotionally explosive atmosphere that has gripped this ancient, holy city for, well, forever and a day. Israelis and Palestinians claim Jerusalem as their capital city. We’ll leave that discussion for another time along with a seventeen-volume set of encyclopedias. The fireworks set off on this night in Jerusalem were to welcome Donald Trump to town, and for a man who creates plenty of fireworks himself, it seemed an appropriate welcome for him and for the volatile situation he came here to solve.

When Donald Trump took office in January 2017, there was great anticipation and excitement that he would move the United States embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. It would be a provocative move to clearly show the world that Jerusalem is indeed the capital of Israel, not Palestine. A year before this trip, on the campaign trail at Liberty University, Candidate Trump said to me that he was “for that one hundred percent.” But during his first visit here to the Holy Land, he made no historic announcement. He would leave the embassy where it is .  .  . for now.

There’s a different calculation as commander in chief when you’re trying to negotiate the art of the deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians. The media was quick to call it a broken campaign promise but evangelicals knew better: They understood Trump wasn’t betraying Israel or them. He was simply doing what he does best: negotiating. They didn’t lose too much sleep over it, knowing full well that Trump will play that card when he has to.

It must be clearly understood that, from a public policy perspective, Trump’s relationship with evangelicals hinges on top-tier issues like religious liberty, abortion, and, yes, a staunch protection and defense of Israel. Evangelicals stand with Israel, and they want to make sure Trump does too. They understand the biblical truth put forth in Genesis when God established the Abrahamic Covenant, saying to Abraham and all his descendants (read: the Jews), “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:3). Nobody is claiming Trump understands the theology and significance of all of this, but evangelicals believe fervently that this president authentically has Israel’s back, the exact opposite of what they believed about President Obama before him.

Furthermore, it was here in the holiest of cities where Trump’s spiritual walk seemed to take an upward turn. He felt something. It’s not something you measure in a test tube, but God was moving. At Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial, Trump took it all in: a concrete building shaped like a triangular prism, the nearly seven-hundred-foot-long skylight, and most notably the exhibition halls dedicated to the emotionally gripping stories of the millions of Jews who were brutally murdered. “It was the most savage crime against God and his children,” Trump told the assembled crowd at the site. As he continued, he also felt something else here. “This is a land filled with beauty, wonder, and the spirit of God.”

The spirit of God stayed with him at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, the historical and holy site where Jews and millions around the world from other faiths come to pray. President Trump made history by becoming the first sitting president of the United States to visit it. The others stayed away for fear of the controversy that would follow, considering the Palestinians see that area as the future site of their capital city. Regardless, Trump barreled forward, and evangelicals applaud him for it. He’s fearless.

Placing his hand gently on the wall with a traditional kippah adorning his head, Trump reflected. It was a solemn moment between Trump and God. Something transpired because, after all, it’s hard to approach the imposing sixty-two-foot hallowed wall and not feel something. Indeed, a spiritual transaction occurred. “I was deeply moved by my visit today to the Western Wall,” Trump said afterward. “Words fail to capture the experience. It will leave an impression on me forever.” You can’t quantify a moment like that. It just stays with you.

The spiritual hangover seemed to continue into the next day. His speech at the Israel Museum continued to hammer home this continual God-based theme that we had seen play out throughout this trip. He played to a packed house, so crammed, in fact, that reporters in the back of the room were standing on any chair they could find to get a clear view. What they witnessed, along with engrossed television-watching evangelicals back home, was an American president who didn’t bring up the toxic issues of Palestinian statehood and a two-state solution. In this setting, Israelis didn’t want to hear talk like that .  .  . and Trump delivered. Instead, what they got were consistent shout-outs to the Almighty.

Among the gems included a spiritual tribute to Jerusalem: “This city, like no other place in the world, reveals the longing of the human heart—to know and worship God,” Trump exclaimed.

Even in Bethlehem, one of his other stops where he met with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, Trump brought the godly message into the West Bank, a territory controlled by the Palestinians. “In this spirit of hope, we come to Bethlehem, asking God for a more peaceful, safe, and far more tolerant world for all of us.” It should be noted that evangelicals didn’t miss the fact that Trump and Abbas didn’t shake hands in their traditional photo-op in front of the press. Moreover, sharp-eyed, faith-filled Christians noticed Trump’s direct language when he spoke these words in front of Abbas: “Peace can never take root in an environment where violence is tolerated, funded, and even rewarded.” Clearly, that was a strongly worded verbal jab at the Palestinian government’s policy of providing payments for would-be terrorists who attack the state of Israel.

With his mission, for the time being at least, complete in Israel, it was time to turn his attention to a vastly different situation: mending fences with Pope Francis, the 266th pope of the Roman Catholic Church. Candidate Trump and the Pontiff had a bit of a spat during the presidential campaign when Francis questioned Trump’s Christianity because of his fondness for building border walls around America. Trump didn’t like the Pope’s verbiage one bit and let him have it. Eventually, the controversy dissipated, but getting on the Pope’s good side would have plenty of political upsides, considering the last time we checked this guy wields quite a bit of power with his Catholic flock. And plus, he has a cool car. Honestly, if Trump is ever going to hitch a ride in the Popemobile, he’s got to play nice. And that’s exactly what happened.

As our CBN crew ventured into the bright sunlight of the Vatican Courtyard in the early-morning hours, we waited with anticipation for President Trump’s arrival. We looked around for a huge motorcade, but all we saw was an Uber-like old Ford Focus pull up. Surely, President Trump wasn’t coming to the Vatican in a car like that! Yes, it’s American, but that’s not how he rolls. I was right. It wasn’t Trump. “Oh my goodness,” I said as I looked on in bewilderment. “That’s the Pope.” He arrived in humble fashion, but after looking at the car, the only thought running through my mind was “Does that thing even have air-conditioning?” Trump eventually made his way into the courtyard, greeted by a dozen or so dignitaries. The Pope was already inside getting ready for the historic meeting.

By all accounts, the meeting went very well. No major dust-ups, and in Trump Land that’s always a good day. But something else happened that had nothing to do with such agenda items as climate change or immigration. Trump received a gift. A book called Evangelii Gaudium—“The Joy of the Gospel”—an exhortation written by the Pope about how the church needs to evangelize around the world. It contains plenty of social justice talking points, but more crucially it presents the gospel message in a compelling, personal way. Trump told the Pope he would be reading it. Take note of how the book starts out:

The joy of the gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus. Those who accept his offer of salvation are set free from sin, sorrow, inner emptiness and loneliness. With Christ joy is constantly born anew.

The salvation which God offers us is the work of his mercy. No human efforts, however good they may be, can enable us to merit so great a gift.

The Lord does not disappoint those who take this risk; whenever we take a step towards Jesus, we come to realize that he is already there, waiting for us with open arms. Now is the time to say to Jesus: “Lord, I have let myself be deceived; in a thousand ways I have shunned your love, yet here I am once more, to renew my covenant with you. I need you. Save me once again, Lord, take me once more into your redeeming embrace.” How good it feels to come back to him whenever we are lost! Let me say this once more: God never tires of forgiving us; we are the ones who tire of seeking his mercy.

God definitely works in mysterious ways, but many times it’s pretty obvious. This is one of those times. It’s not happenstance that Donald Trump became president. The Apostle Paul wrote, “The authorities that exist have been established by God” (Romans 13:1). It’s not a coincidence that Pope Francis is where he is at today. And it’s not just simple “chance” that the two men intertwined on this day so Donald Trump could receive this specific book at this specific time in his life. Just like all of us, our spiritual walk is a journey: highs and lows; times of confidence; times of doubt; stretches of wandering and periods of profound closeness with the Almighty. Donald Trump’s faith journey is no different. On this day, in this religious city, Trump received “The Joy of the Gospel.” But after reading it and digesting it thoroughly, maybe he’ll experience the joy too and receive the fullness of the gift that the Spirit intended.

In a way, in one week’s time, Donald Trump’s “World Religion Tour” morphed into “God’s Holy Tour.” Leave it to God to use Donald Trump, warts and all, and the bully pulpit of the American presidency to shout His name abundantly in three of the holiest cities around the globe. Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi summed it up nicely when he told President Trump that “you have a unique personality that is capable of doing the impossible.” That’s true. But what’s even more impressive is God doing the impossible. And Donald Trump’s election to the highest office in the land is exhibit A.

I want to include some excerpts of President Trumps Commencement Speech at Liberty University May 2017

Ch. 30 – Give Me Liberty

Trump: ”It’s been a little over a year since I’ve spoken on your beautiful campus and so much has changed. Right here, the class of 2017, dressed in cap and gown, graduating to a totally brilliant future. And here I am standing before you as president of the United States. So I’m guessing there are some people here today who thought that either one of those things, either one, would really require major help from God. Do we agree? And we got it.  .  .  . “

“Remember this, nothing worth doing ever, ever, ever came easy. Following your convictions means you must be willing to face criticism from those who lack the same courage to do what is right. And they know what is right, but they don’t have the courage or the guts or the stamina to take it and to do it. It’s called the road less traveled.”

Trump: “In just two days we will mark the tenth anniversary of Reverend Falwell’s passing. And I used to love watching him on television, hearing him preach. He was a very special man.”

Trump: “America has always been the land of dreams because America is a nation of true believers. When the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth, they prayed. When the Founders wrote the Declaration of Independence, they invoked our creator four times, because in America we don’t worship government, we worship God. That is why our elected officials put their hands on the Bible and say “so help me God” as they take the oath of office. It is why our currency proudly declares “in God we trust.” And it’s why we proudly proclaim that we are one nation under God, every time we say the Pledge of Allegiance.”

Trump: “America is better when people put their faith into action. As long as I am your president, no one is ever going to stop you from practicing your faith or from preaching what’s in your heart. We will always stand up for the right of all Americans to pray to God and to follow his teachings.”

It is ever so clear that the battle for the very soul of America and Americans who claim to be followers of Jesus is a battle that can only be won through prayer and supplication and by the power of Almighty God with whom nothing is impossible. – I am the Real Truckmaster!
